SPOILERS WARNING THIS HAS SOME PRETTY HEAVY SEASON FOUR SPOILERS.

M.k practically dragged you towards flower fruit mountain causing you to stumble a bit.

"So you're saying you unlocked a cursed scroll and were attacked by DBK, Iron fan, Spider Queen, Nezha, and some other demons you've never seen before?" Tang asked.

"No," M.k released your wrist allowing you to rub away the slight sore spot he'd left from tugging you along so unexpectedly. "I'm saying we were attacked by INK VERSIONS of DBK, Iron fan, Spider Queen, and all those other ones you just said." He clarified simply as though that was obvious somehow.

You glanced around seeing nothing amiss other than the massive troves of items Monkey king had 'borrowed' in his very extensive lifetime whilst your friends spoke among themselves.

"Well it looks like what ever it was is gone now." You pointed out as kindly as you could without sounding accusing.

M.k dashed about throwing gusts of wind in your face likely without thinking.

"Hey you're right! Whew. No ink demons!" He cheered.

"Hey, I think I found the scroll!" Sandy announced lifting a band of blackened wood pieces rolled together.

"Sandy wait!" M.k yelled as the scroll unfurled.

Instantly black ink spilled from the scroll and thunder clapped.

Sandy released the scroll and the black in absorbed it into it's depths as it grew. Figures began to emerge from the pitch inky depths their eyes shimmering an otherworldly blue that sent a chill through your blood.

"Aight, Tangy!" Mei cheered grabbing Tang and tossing him forward. "You're up!"

Tang stood up and yelled to the mass with what you could only call an empty ultimatum before versions of the gang's ancestors began to appear from the black muck. And just then they attacked.

You released a small scream as the black goo charged at you. The only reaction you had time for was to shoot your arms up Infront of your face when a Jade barrier appeared between you and the goo.

With a small gasp you stumbled backwards flinching as the black liquid slammed against the barrier which never so much as cracked under the barrage.

Suddenly you felt M.k grab your shoulders and yank you backwards just as glowing blue and yellow streaks shot past you creating a barrier of their own.

Just then a large lionesque man stepped past you, M.k, and Mei. He twirled his sword making Mei's eyes go wide.

"Oooo I want that!" She fangirled to herself.

Just then two more figures emerged from the ink a birdlike figure and and elephant one. They shouted simultaneously words you couldn't decipher. But your gaze flicked back to the Lion.

He released a small sigh.

"Forgive me, brothers." He uttered quietly before brandishing his sword. Each swing shot light strands that beat the ink backwards before banishing it altogether. Then he shot out an arm his hand glowing blue.

The scroll took on an aura of the same hue, floated into the air, and a rune appeared above it which seemed to suck the remaining ink back in, then sealed the scroll.

You blinked as the scroll fell into the lion's grasp. His gaze remained on it musingly before both M.k and Mei launched at him slamming into his back.

He slammed into the ground but picked himself up taking his sword in hand.

"Hand over the scroll children."

"No You hand over the scroll!" M.k demanded before Mei corrected him with a whisper in his ear.

"We have the scroll! Now free our friends and we don't have to get physical." He declared correctively.

"You expect me to believe you are not responsible for stealing the scroll despite it being in your possession?"

You listened to your friends go back and forth and basically just watched the lion introduce himself and explain the situation.

Still didn't explain fully but you guessed it was the best you were going to get.

The Azure lion and M.k spoke back and forth eventually coming to the agreement that he and Mei would enter the scroll and retrieve your friends.

"Woah wait?! Are you insane?!" You demanded stepping between them. "We don't even know this guy! He could be using you!"

Azure lion blinked as if taken aback by your comment.

"If we are going to do this, we need to trust each other." He spoke with a gentle reassurance that some how only irked you more.

"Y/n," M.k addressed you stealing your attention. "What other choice do we have?"

You stared at him for a moment. This was insane. You couldn't just trust this lion...man...thing! But then... M.k was right. You had no other choice. And who knew what the scroll would do to your friends the longer they were in there. You breathed out a sigh.

"Fine! But I'm staying here and watching him. Just to make sure he doesn't try anything."

M.k grinned and hugged you.

"Thanks Y/n."

"Alright." The lion smiled at you kindly. "If you wish to stay then I'll need you to stand behind me." He gestured to a spot behind him.

You eyed him warily but walked over. You knelt behind him and if you weren't mistaken saw him smirk before wishing M.k and Mei good luck then releasing the ink which promptly sucked them both into the scroll.

A sick feeling mounted in your chest as he resealed the scroll.

"Now, then all there's left to do is wait." He announced with a tone that seemed resigned. Then he looked over his shoulder at you.

"Y/n, was it?"

Your gaze flicked back to the scroll.

"Is..there a way to check on them?"

The lion smiled then chuckled.

"As a matter of fact, yes. Give me a moment." His eyes flashed with golden light and then he fell very still.

In the moments you guessed he was astral projecting. As his form was similar to his so called 'brother' monkey king.

This chance you took standing and stepping around him so you could observe him more easily.

He had definitive muscle. No one could deny that. He wore a cape and something you could possibly identify as a 'half shirt'.

You frowned.

Something about him seemed.... Insincere. Perhaps not his kindness but something. Something was hidden here. And you were going to find out what.

Just then his golden eyes flicked open causing you to flinch slightly.

He smiled almost amusedly.

"Admiring from a distance are we?"

You felt your cheeks heat but pressed away the reaction, deciding to fold your arms and frown instead.

"No."

His smile remained firmly intact.

"I don't blame you for not trust me. Infact, I count you as wise for such. But still, I have a role to play in aiding you."

"Forgive me if I find it suspicious that you just happened to show up right on time." You shot back suspiciously.

Now his smile fell into a sad frown.

"But I didn't. Your friends were pulled into the scroll regardless of my efforts. Surely, if my arrival was 'right on time' as you say, wouldn't they have been saved?" The information he offered almost humbly.

You sighed. He had a point, a good one at that.

"Perhaps if you gave me a chance to prove myself trustworthy," He smiled hopefully. "Then you could lay your suspicions aside."

You studied him carefully. Nothing about him confirmed your suspicions and something about this was indeed sincere. But what was true and what was false. Nothing in his appearance gave you any clue if anything looking at his muscles was beginning to distract you so you tore your gaze away.

"Alright."

From the corner of your eye you could see him perk up some.

"When my friends are safe, then I'll trust you."

Just then Azure wilted some. It was slight, near inpercieveable, but there. The next instant he was grinning widely.

"Very well then. But...until then-"

You glanced back at him fully.

"Why don't we get to know each other a bit better?" He offered kindly.

Your gaze flicked to the scroll. You didn't really want to sit here in silence until they returned.

"Ok." You agreed sitting across from him.

"Well I'm sure you've heard of me." He grinned proudly.

You allowed your silence to rectify that assumption coupling it with a blank look.

"Ah...I suppose not, but in any case I have introduced myself to some degree. I do believe it's your turn."

You gave a small start.

"Oh...well alright. My name is Y/n L/n technically I'm the grand daughter of the Jade emperor."

Now it was his turn to give a small start his eyes widening quite a bit.

"Oh don't look at me like that." You sighed. "I'm nothing special my mother married a mortal so she was basically cast out of heaven."

Azure hummed.

"I was wondering what power you might possess that would allow you to block the scroll as you did." He held his chin contemplatively. "Are you and your grandfather close?" He rose a brow.

"Not intimately. But I know of him and obviously vice versa." You responded with a shrug.

"How very interesting." Azure mumbled more to himself than you.

"And you?" You urged him to start explaining which seemed to break him from his reverie.

"Ah yes! Well I have many a story to tell, I'm afraid."

You shrugged.

"Not like we've got something else to do."

He grinned then began his story.

As the hours passed you began to be more intrigued by his many stories and admittedly, you were beginning to enjoy his presence.

"Wow, so you defied orders just so that family wouldn't be hurt?" You asked perking up a bit.

"Well of course." Azure replied. "I couldn't very simply let them drown." The sincerity of the statement struck you.

He wasn't lying. Not even a little.

Some part of your heart skipped a beat.

"That's...very kind of you." You smiled.

Azure gave a small start then grew a slightly mischievous smile.

"You think so?"

The low notes of his voice caused your heart to stammer and a flood of heat to rush to your cheeks.

"I-I- you- but- ugh! Of course I think so because it is!" You protested with a huffed.

Azure laughed openly then.

You flinched slightly at the abrupt outburst but relaxed soon after. His laughter was pleasant to listen to.

"Forgive me, y/n." He excused once his laughter died out. "Teasing you is simply an amusement that never becomes tiresome."

Wait never? Seemed a bit early to assume teasing you didn't ever get boring. But you shrugged never the less.

"I can take it. Don't worry."

He grinned.

"Of that I am certain."

Nightfall came and you began to worry. Shouldn't M.k and Mei have finished by now? You weren't sure how friend swiping scrolls worked but you hadn't thought it would take this long.

"Have faith, y/n." Azure spoke suddenly breaking you from your thoughts. "Your friends can do this. They can do it together." He gave you a smile that eased your anxiety some.

"You're right." You nodded. "I can trust them."

Then you continued to wait. Hours slipped by. You and Azure spoke fairly often but as the hour grew later you started to get too drowsy to stay awake.

At some point you must have drifted off to sleep because you awoke a bit later to a soft fabric being drapped over your form.

You opened your eyes slightly only to see Azure stepping away no longer wearing his cloak. A thick warmth enveloped you just then and you slipped off into unconsciousness.

Dumb idea with Peng pining for Mac and trying so hard not to like him and after being imprisoned and everything is like ‘Welp I am finally over him no more feelings here’ and then he sees Mac with new villain personality and is just instantly smitten like ‘Oh god he’s even hotter now. HOW?’ and ‘Oh god he’s a bitch. I love him’

Also someone explaining about everything that happened, Wukong lamenting everything and Peng’s reaction just being ‘...so what your saying is he’s single now?’

Peng instantly trying to start flirting with Mac in his way, that is insulting. Only Mac does not put up with that shit and insults him back just as harshly instantly. Peng is ready to propose there and then and decides to actually try doing what the others suggested years ago and ‘Flirt like a normal person’

Wukong seeing Peng flirt with Mac and getting angry and finally realizing that he has feelings for Mac.

so what’s ur favorite thing abt mei that u feel like nobody else notices but it adds so much to her and you feel like everyone needs to be talking about it

everybody needs to realize that before MK was dubbed and knighted—i mean, before MK was titled the Monkey King's successor and wielded the trusty staff, Mei was the powerhouse of the group.

literally remember how our introduction to her character was her saving MK's ass while he was being chased by Red Son, and girlie only thought they were playing a game. my initial reaction to her was "oh, so she's the first hero of the city!" LIKE THAT WAS WHERE MY MIND WENT!

1x06 has a special place in my heart because it shows Mei in her element! she's the motorcycle gal, she's the OG mechanic (SHE LITERALLY BUILT AN HQ FOR MK IN S1), she's the descent of Ao Lie, she's the wielder of the DRAGON SWORD (you know, the sword nobody in her family was allowed to touch because it was a prized artifact and it chose HER)

it is honestly such a struggle (for me) to simply place Mei in the "warrior" category of the hero/warrior duo because yes, MK and Mei are a duo (a dynamic duo one might say), BUT it is so different to swk and macky's duo. they are both the hero and the warrior. their narrative pieces collide and parallel and align so well or clash and-- omg look, another topic to add to my "MK and the gang's ultimate goal is breaking the narrative structure/fate/destiny" folder! (BECAUSE NONE OF THEM PERFECTLY ALIGN WITH THE NARRATIVE EVERYONE IS PUSHING ON THEM. NONE OF THEM FIT COMPLETELY FOR FATE TO WIN DO YOU SEE WHAT I AM SEEING! DO YOU SEE- *gets dragged away*)

*comes back covered in blood* but yeah, everybody start pay closer attention to my gal because her main character energy is real and important and will be crucial for the upcoming seasons. listen, even if MK wasn't there when Red Son and the fam released DBK, Mei would still be there to screw with their plans (I mean, it would have been easier for DBK to wreak havoc because of the energy source, but also MK would still make the impulsive decision to dive into DBK's energy thingy later but this post isn't about him <3)

Mei's awesome and intelligent and intuitive but also impulsive and prone to emotions before anything but i love her

Ok but what, exactly, are their reactions to baby Yubei? We know their general opinions but when Yellow Tusk and Peng are first released, there's this baby m9nkey jsut sitting in Azure's paws. A baby moneky that is apparently Wukong's blood daughter, they he had apparently carried. Had been carrying since he sealed them to begin with they soon learn

Azure is pretty much handed baby Yuebei by MK and Mei since he was the only adult around + MK was panicking at the loss of his mentor, dads, and Sandy. Azure figures out quickly from Yuebei's smell that she's Wukong's cub - he also smells Macaque on her, which surprises and disappoints him. The hut on FFM also gives him a clearer picture - many of Wukong's maternity clothes are still lying around the house, theres baby bottles, and a little sun and moon-themed nursery. All things that point towards his two former sworn brethern no longer being the same fighters he knew back then. And even worse, the King he often cared for loving another.

Yuebei's kidnapping was an unexpected, but welcome, addition to the plan. In Azure's palm held the greatest bargaining chip in all of the Heavens - the daughter of Sun Wukong. Containing many the same powers as her birth parent, and ones undiscovered yet.

When the MKrew escape the Scroll, Wukong is snarling like a beast at Azure until he sees that tiny puff of black fur held between his claws... his face goes pale and he drops to his knees like he did to the Jade Emperor millennia ago when his mate was threatened. He instinctively submits to ensure his cub's safety. It was no great feat for Azure to trap the Monkey King back into the Scroll after that (in the show it just took a snap of his fingers). The gang are less accomodating though - MK comes charging at the Brotherhood even as his body contorts painfully from his true monkey side breaking through. Yuebei is pretty much his adoptive baby sister, and he isn't going to let some creep take her as collateral!

Like in canon, their attempts to fight the Brotherhood are in vain. MK flies away screaming for his mentor and his fellow cub. Macaque hears his distress darn near across the country and comes running.

In the immediate aftermath of their release, Peng and Yellowtusk are mega confused why there's a baby monkey in Azure's hands rn?? Until they learn that it's the child of their "traitorous" former brother. Yellow Tusk's face drops, while Peng is amused by having the perfect the hostage. The elephant is the one to point out that the baby monkey can't be allowed to be near any of the fighting less she get seriously hurt (and they lose their hostage).

Azure likely has Yuebei trapped in her own Scroll column (a strangely hefty one he notes), for the time being, and releases her when he's fianlly sitting on the throne.

I'm honestly surprised that the Brotherhood didn't have a bigger reaction to Red Son - given that they likely never knew that their bro DBK had settled down and become a family man. Then again in this au, they don't get to have much of a chance to react.

Azure: "Demon Bull King. It's been many years-" DBK, sees Azure holding Yuebei hostage: "WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH OUR GODDAUGHTER!?" *immediate boss fight ensues*

Red Son ends up not just alerting the Celestial Realm about the Brotherhood's escape, but also tracks down Macaque to tell him exactly what happened to baby Yuebei. Macaque is understandably pissed, despite him and Wukong going through a rough patch. You better believe that the Warrior is seconds from beating down that palace door himself if it means Yuebei stays safe. But he has to focus on finding MK and Wukong rn first.

Macaque does lay it in to MK for a while though, not only out of anger for his poor judgement, but to force him to see his own hypocrisy.

Macaque: "Why would you give the baby to a stranger!? Why couldn't have you waited until I got back?! Or found DBK or the Vixen!?" MK: "I panicked ok!? I just wanted my family back!" Macaque: "I though you said on Camel Ridge you didn't have a family?" MK, still crying: "YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN! I'm just some... thing dumped here. I don't even know who created me!" Macaque, angry tears: "Neither do I! Do I cry about it? No! Because I have a troop! I have a mate! And by the gods, I have cubs of my own now!" Macaque: *pulls MK into a suffocating hug* "And like it or not, that includes you too bud." MK: *starts crying harder, like a little kid again*

Eventually the second fight with the Brotherhood becomes more of trying to stop Macaque from skinning the lion then and there, at least until he hands over Yuebei. Azure given them the choice; Yuebei's life - or the Jade Emperor's.

You can imagine what they choose. Nezha can't even disagree with their choice. (Nezha: "If he lays a claw upon her head, not even the Buddha could stop what I'd do to him.").

Cue MK and Macaque dipping into SWK's Scroll column to get their Monkey King back. And for both of them to have character-shaking revelations.

And ofc back in the Celestial Realm, Azure is sitting upon his conquered throne with Yuebei on his knee. The power of the Emperor corrupting his mind to think of a world where she's his heir, and Wukong his consort, things he only dreamed of half-heartedly. These thoughts become even more frenzied as the other two uncover copies of Wukong's medical reports from Gold Star's office (shared via Lao Tzu); explaining to all three of them just how long Yuebei has been cooking for + Macaque didn't sire her. This reinenforced the corrupted Azure Emperor that Wukong was *meant* to be his Queen, otherwise, why else would Yuebei be born just shy of his release?

(Hint: It's cause Macaque came back and Wukong started trusting others again.)

Yellow Tusk is horrified by Azure's behavior, while Peng just wants to see their leader happy. The palace staff brave enough to stay (notably the Orchard Maidens) are terrified for the baby's and the world's safety.

Yuebei this whole time, is getting increasingly angry at not being able to see her parents or troop, and is about to darn near explode if the "bad kitty" doesn't let her go. Or if the "shiny birdy" doesn't stop teasing her.

I don't understand the discourse surrounding the idea that the Demon Bull Family + Macaque weren't made to face consequences for their actions when Wukong is constantly being treated like a villain... because... that's literally not true? like at all?

Macaque and DBK were actually villains; their whole relationship with MK up until the more recent episodes was antagonistic. It was normal for them to attack or hurt the main characters. The show doesn't need the main characters to shout "Macaque, attacking and tricking MK was kind of screwed up" because... he knows that?

The entire cast knows that?

The reason that the consequences of their past actions aren’t thrown in their face is because MK isn't the kind of person to hold a person's mistakes over their heads. He could have called them out on it, but does he really need to? I mean, attempting to punch someone in the face doesn't exactly scream "I'm fine with your actions." He was mad; furious even... but he chose to look past it in the end.

That's what sets MK apart.

It would be normal to turn up your nose at someone who treated you like the DBK/Macaque have treated MK. I feel like that's kind of the point? Neither of them earned their redemption - it was just something MK offered to them because he likes making friends more than he likes keeping enemies.

He's a "good kid" as Macaque put it.

He didn't owe them anything, but he still offered an olive branch.

The reason nobody else calls them out on it?

Well, MK is their friend; they trust him completely and will always have his back. If MK decides he's willing to move past what happened and offer someone a clean slate, then his friends will do the same. You best believe that Mei and Pigsy wouldn't hesitate to tear Macaque or DBK a new one if MK got hurt again, though. It's not about forgetting what happened, just looking past it and letting them choose how they want to proceed.

It's different for Wukong, though.

The reason why Mei was so mad at Wukong wasn't because he was somehow worse than Macaque or DBK. If it were anyone else, she wouldn't have been using her words; she would have gone straight to throwing punches. No. She was mad at him because he MK was upset. She knows MK is tough; someone will kick him in the stomach and he'll offer them a bowl of noodles. She knows that, because she knows her friend.

What really gets to MK though his self-doubt, his insecurities, the trust he has in the people closest to him. She was mad because she couldn't protect MK, but more-so because she relied on Wukong to do the same. DBK can't break MK. Macaque can't break MK. Make him sad or furious, sure... but break him? No. Wukong? Wukong could break him. If his lie had resulted in Mei's death there was zero percent chance that MK would have been alright.

It was obvious Wukong hadn’t intended to hurt him, but he almost did and she was kind of upset about it!

Is this making sense to anyone?

I mean... ???

I honestly feel like way too many people are mistaking MK's characterization as a kind and forgiving person who can turn enemies into friends as narrative approval, and Wukong’s characterization as someone who takes the idea of “protecting” his loved ones a little too far and ends up keeping them in the dark instead/the cast’s reactions to this as narrative disapproval.

I never felt as though the show was making the argument that SWK was a bad person. It just feels like he’s a hero who got used to handling all the world’s problems on his own and expects too much of himself because of it, relearning how to connect and share burdens with other people… and I’m pretty sure that’s what they were going for?

He was never perfect but even Macaque, who literally hated him, has started to reevaluate the way he sees Wukong and even almost went so far as defending him when they were in the scroll.

On the opposite end of things, Macaque and DBK are villains who are trying to be better people because MK saw and acknowledged that potential in them, and it made them want to do better.

Is that just me? am I crazy? hello?

Red Son tried to confess first—had this whole thing set up and ready before throwing it in the trash and angrily snatching a bouquet on his way out of the house—and he was trying to be elegant about it. Whole spiel about how they’re compatible and how they’d make for a good couple but he kept fumbling over his words and choking on his own spit—and then Chenxia asked if he was asking her out.

And he nearly teleported out of there. Nearly. She put her hand over his to calm him down. So no teleporting.

You mentioned in your answer how DBK and PIF would take ACTION when they find their son absolutely exhausted laying his head on his desk ,passed out on a blueprint (probably) but what would be their REACTION, if it makes sence? Like the things going on in their heads? (I'm SO invested in this freaking thing I'm SO sorry----)

(this is very ooc, I know his parents are much worse in canon)

Absolute panic.

The first person to find Redson would be one of the Bull Clones who were patrolling the hallway that Redson's lab is in, it would notice the sudden silence and would request entry but after a few short minutes of no answer would enter anyways out of concern. After finding Redson in his weakened state it would immediately alert his parents who'd come running.

As I mentioned in my DBK and PIF headcanons, they both feel guilty about Redson's poor upbringing; PIF being too emotionally unstable about her husband to take care of him and DBK being sealed away for 500 years. Neither of them had much time to bond with him growing up, but finally have the chance to do so now that their family is together again; and even though they aren't quite sure how to show it they do truly care for Redson, so the news about their son being overworked to the point of being making himself sick would scare them.

DBK would be the one to take Redson to his room while PIF got any necessary medication, bandages for his blistered hands, etc; while the Bull Clones would be ordered clean up his workshop and put away any equipment that's been left out.

Due to how long Redson forced himself to stay awake it would be a good few hours, maybe a day, before he finally woke up again, and when he finally does, the Bull clone looking after him would update his parents on the situation.

DBK would be the most involved in his recovery, as it's the first time he's dealt with Redson while he's sick, he never got sick before he was sealed away so DBK would want to keep an eye on him and be as involved as possible to make sure he's okay and doesn't make his condition any worse, I don't think he'd trust the Bull Clones to look after him on their own.

DBK would be the one to make his meals (with the occasional help of PIF), he'd change Redsons sheets whenever they got dirty, he'd even move a chair into Redson's room to sleep there if he was feeling particularly sick, in case he needed something in the middle of the night. If DBK isn't able to be with Redson overnight, however, he'd ensure at least two Bull Clones are.

PIF truly does care for Redson, and she'd be grateful that he's okay, but I don't think she'd be as involved in his recovery as DBK. PIF seems like the kind of person who gets queezy at the idea of looking after sick people so if Redson was showing any signs of stress-induced illness she'd instead take care of him from afar. She'd help make his meals, get him fresh wet washcloths whenever necessary, a change of bandages, more medication, but she'd have a Bull clone or her husband bring said items to him rather than doing so herself, but would demand periodic updates about his condition nonetheless.

Once Redson has properly recovered enough that they allow him to leave his room again she'd talk to him about a better schedule and maintaining a good work/life balance.

Although they both have different ways of taking care of him, what's going on in their heads are the same: they'd both feel guilty about not noticing his behavior earlier, that they let him overwork himself to the point of passing out and never realized. After this event, though, they'd be sure to keep a better eye on him and make sure he doesn't work for too long at a time again.

Do you think "the chirp" affects other demons too? Like obviously the monkies parents instinct the strongest cause of same species/parental bond.

But do you think it would affect pigsy DBK and azure to some level?

Pigsy also has a father/son bond with MK so I'd think he'd have the strongest reaction

DBK and azure could have a more milder feeling but definitely feel it because you can't tell me both have a stronger attachment to MK then they'd like to admit to themselves.

"I don't know why but I but I suddenly feel the need to kill everything that comes near MK...."

The Protect the baby instinct is gently activated and they're very confused but acting on it. Azure maybe more aggressively the DBK.

"Azure maybe more aggressively then dbk"

Dbk drove through a mountain and almost popped a vein in the process all bc he has mountain trauma.

The same man who I presume would do anything and kill anyone for a baby.

Parent instincts aren't strong towards mk bc the bond isn't too strong. But if dbk is their and mk needs him to punch someone a simple chirp and dbks broken every single bone in the bad guys body with a single punch.

Hehbbehe it's. Its like a toy where u press a button and it punches. But the button is mks chirp and the fist is as tall as him.

Dbk acts on emotion alot and I think if he feels the need to destroy something or someone he's gonna act on it emmeditaly. Especially if a kid is involved.

Anyways yeah it does affect other demons. But only ones mk has a bond with. Doesn't have to be just demons either. Meis not a demon but she hears it and suddenly she's wrapped around mk like a noodle and hissing at anyone who comes close.

Basically anyone that's not human

Pigsy gets instincts too. But I feel like he's the kinda guy to mostly suppress his instincts. But mk chirps and suddenly pigsy is being more attentive and passive towards mk.

Azure and mk don't have a strong bond...yet. so I can see it as more "you good kid?" "No" mkay lets get u outta here"

But yeah I'd say next to swk and mac dbk has the strongest reaction simply.bc he reacts to his feelings alot. Swk and mac are the strongest bc its a monkey chirp. It's a same species thing

Mk is just a little guy with demons older then the walls of china and almost as tall behind him with a high af body count. Like he's just a ray of sunshine with....multiple horrifying demons behind him glaring you down. A couple of gods too.

And all hebhas to do is make a single noise.

And suddenly not even th armies of heaven can get to him.

So I was rewatching the S4 specials and with the little monkeys' reactions to seeing Macaque, how much do you wanna bet that they were happy seeing DBK again?

Sure, it wouldn't be a big deal like Macaque, but DBK was nice to them whenever he came to visit (that was a Rule the Brotherhood had because otherwise, Wukong could and would punt you over the volcano ring. Also bc I HC DBK as being mildly baby-crazy so he spoiled them.). So I'm imagining the Demon Bull family arriving on Flower Fruit Mountain, kinda awkward because they didn't expect to be invited.

DBK is just taking everything in because he's honestly missed this place and a monkey hops out, probably to bring them to the beach. Suddenly a few more monkeys are hopping out, dancing around DBK, chattering at him.

Welcoming him back.

Red son x injured reader.

Slight season 3 spoilers!!

*So some context. Lady bone demon has taken over the gang got stranded for a bit and the DBK family saved them. You were injured very badly in a fight prior and getting stranded nearly made your condition critical. *

Thankfully Red Son has a few healing spells up his sleeve and when the rest of the gang has to go they decide to leave you with Red Son until you are healed fully.

Now about you; you have magic and you can heal yourself but you have to be conscious and you sing to concentrate. Anyway onto the story!

"You're not eating." Red Son mentioned annoyedly. "What's the matter? Is it too spicy for your pathetic peasant taste buds?"

Your shroud of sadness dissipated at the accusation and you looked up at him.

"What? No! I can definitely handle any amount of spice you could conjure."

Red Son folded his arms with a huff.

"Is that so? Then why aren't you eating?"

You paused and stared down at your food. You knew it would taste amazing as Red Son had an undeniable talent for cooking despite his obsession with spice. But being left here had been rough. You'd thought you were a valued member of the team, so why had you been abandoned? You knew why, but it hurt even so.

"I....I just miss them." You mumbled slouching against your seat.

Red Son's expression softened and his arms fell back to his sides.

"Oh...I see."

An uncomfortable silence filled the space between you. To keep yourself occupied, you started to rearrange your food on your plate with your chopsticks.

You half expected Red Son to lose his temper soon and berate you for being weak. But each time you glanced up his expression held worry and he was clearly thinking to himself.

"Well the more you eat the faster you will heal. Your body needs nourishment in order to repair itself." Red Son informed you firmly.

You only shrugged.

"Alright then-" Red Son walked over to you, determination etched over his features. "Let's make a deal."

You rose an intrigued brow.

"Isn't it stupid to make deals with demons?"

Red Son waved a dismissive hand.

"Only if you are an idiot. Now, if you CAN truly handle the spice as you say-" Red Son leaned on the table with a hand. "Then I'll help you send a message to that dragon-horse girl."

You perked up with an excited grin.

"Really?!"

Red Son grew a smirk and gave a nod.

"But if you can't then you have to practice your healing magic for atleast an hour."

Your cheeks flared red.

Healing magic required you to sing, it was how you focused and Red Son knew it. Now that you considered it everytime before when you used healing magic you'd noticed Red Son lingering near your door. That's when it clicked. He enjoyed your voice.

"So you can listen in?" You asked with a smirk.

Now it was Red Son's turn to blush. His cheeks flared red and his hair exploded into flames.

You couldn't help but giggle at the reaction.

"Awww!" You cooed teasingly.

"Silence peasant!" Red Son shouted his face burning a darker shade of crimson.

You decided to give him a little mercy and move on.

"You're on." You stated and started to eat. The food was incredibly spicy but your magic dulled the effects.

Red Son watched with a shocked look before his lips curled upwards into a grin.

You knew he was proud of himself but you decided that was alright since he seemed content. And besides his previous blush had been a definite victory in your book.

You finished your meal without so much as a flinch and although Red Son seemed disappointed in you winning the deal, he seemed genuinely pleased that you were happy.

He escorted you to an odd chamber that held several markings on the floor. By using his magic he was able to set up a telepathic link between you and Mai.

He walked away as your conversation began and leaned against the doorway on his shoulder. The gang was doing well and in decent spirits. They were ecstatic to see that you were up and about and wished you a fast recovery. But before long the conversation ended. As it came to a close the loneliness sunk back in. You missed everyone even more somehow.

Red Son must have noticed, because he stood straight as you started to walk past him. He held up a hand and you paused next to him.

"You look pale." Red Son pointed out his brows drawing close together.

"Do I?" You mumbled offhandedly.

"Perhaps you should rest." Red Son suggested dropping his hand.

You started to sway on your feet a bit as an unbearable heat exploded in your head. Then, your knees buckled under you.

In a flash Red Son caught you with an arm around your lower back. As he pulled you up you were pressed against his chest.

Your cheeks went crimson while Red Son adjusted his hold, pulling you into a bridal style position.

"W-what are you doing?" You muttered weakly as Red Son walked towards your room.

"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm taking you to your room. You overexerted yourself." Red Son's tone sounded scolding but his hold was gentle.

"Or your cooking poisoned me." You mumbled sarcastically.

Red Son scoffed.

"If I wished you dead, you already would be."

You shrugged and leaned against him tiredly.

"I guess."

Red Son scoffed again as your eyes closed slowly. And just before you slipped into unconscious you heard him mutter,

"Sleepwell Y/n."
