Y'know what? I'm gonna post my DBH x John Wick AU ideas here just so I can come back to them whenever I'm back in brainrot mode.

Nines and Gavin made it out from under The Table's authority together and completely distanced themselves from their past lives to live calmer ones where they could settle down in peace

And then Nines got really sick and died because of course he did

So Gavin was left completely alone (well not completely)

Cue The Puppy and Car Incident from the first movie but it's with a cat instead because you can pry the "Gavin's a cat lover" hc from my cold dead hands

Gavin is dragged back into his former life because he wants revenge for what happened

Connor and Sixty run the Detroit Continental Hotel as manager and concierge

They simultaneously hate Gavin for taking Nines from them (since they went no contact after making it out of this line of work) and also consider him family because 1. married Nines and 2. managed to escape from this life with their younger brother to live lives they can't

Also Ralph is taking the role of Bowery King here because I think he fits but other considerations were Rupert because of the pigeons weak reason but I did seriously entertain the idea and Lucy because of the mystical, prophetic vibes

Going back to the Detroit Continental Hotel idea, I was going to have Kamski run it and Chloe be his concierge, but then I remembered the Ruska Roma family when I watched Chapter 4 and thought "wow I love this half-brothers HC so much I should shove it in this AU too" and now Kamski and Chloe are the heads of a crime syndicate family that Gavin belonged to

In my original notes, Gavin's family was gonna be the Jericrew asdjflk I'm gonna find another way to fit them in

They could honestly run another Continental Hotel since there's multiple across the world

If that's the case, then Markus is gonna be the manager and his concierge will most likely be North

I want to fit so many characters into this

Tina and Chris are somewhere in here, too. As Gavin's friends/allies of course

But after watching Chapter 4 I'm dead set on Kara taking Caine's role

And Perkins could be the Marquis until I find someone who might actually fit the role asdfhdk

You're never gonna believe this... Hank? Hank as the Harbinger in Chapter 4? You know... the guy played by Clancy Brown? Unimaginable, I know.

What‘s your opinion on the Gavin and Elijah are related because they’re both voiced/acted by Neil Newbon headcanon?

Also, just curious, what’s your opinion on Elijah himself. I’ve noticed that many people in the fandom saw him as this manipulative, sociopathic narcissist but tbh, I never got that vibe from him at all.

Opinion on 'Gav and Elijah are related' fanon

It's been explicitly proven false as Cage has stated Gav and Elijah are not related. I avoid stuff directly contradicting canon like the plague. Those vaguely familiar with me will know that I'm a firm advocate of respecting canon (...and the author's vision regardless of who they are.)

Opinion on Elijah in general

Somewhat intriguing, but I haven't thought much about him. He didn't really stand out to me. I consider the cut content of Elijah admitting he wanted the android uprising to succeed canon until it's ever disproven. I think he's lost faith in humanity and thus won't waste his energy on most humans. It's pretty relatable to me.

Even if he doesn't strike me as a bad guy or even an antagonist, I'd have to disagree with you not finding him to be a "manipulative sociopath" -- the "narcissist" part can be argued -- but that's not all there is to him. Neil himself has said Elijah is antisocial and that's what being a sociopath is if I'm not mistaken.

The guy is manipulative

He also does have some narcissistic tendencies (like inviting Hank and Con in before literally making them wait for him to swim a few more laps, lol.) There are very few characters in general that I feel inspired by in all the media out there, and in this fandom, only Gav has managed it.

Can you believe it? An update on this hell fic?? Yes! Kudos to @kissoflightning who has been binging and commenting and oh gosh this has been fun. Now that everyone agrees that Elijah in this fic is deeply fucked in the head, can we figure out why he's that way?

“I’m delighted you came, Professor.” He smiled at her.

“I’ll fairly admit that I’m a bit surprised,” she answered, cautious but intrigued.

“I know you wouldn’t let just any student take you out on a meeting of this type,” Elijah said. “I also know that you are as intelligent as you are ambitious…” He raised an eyebrow. “I took care to afford us discretion so we might have a heart to heart, Miss Stern. I’d like to know why you gave my brother a failing grade.”

She half-laughed. “I suspected this would be about Neal.” She pinched her lips and kept quiet as a waiter approached to bring their drinks—wine for her, cranberry soft for Elijah. “I’m afraid your brother is gifted with an unprecedented ability to deliver anything but what I task him to. It pains me, having to fail him. He’s talented—extremely talented. But there are rules, and I am bound to follow them.”

Elijah smiled the way he would have swatted at an annoying fly. “Of course,” he said without agreeing. “But we’re talking about making history, Amanda, and you know that much. You already have your part in making it, through this decision, and if you make the choice that you know will serve science best, your future self will thank you. So why follow the rules when you could follow your interest and that of the many over, what? A shortsighted concern for disciplinary sanctions?” Elijah smirked. “By the time they catch up with you, university teaching will be the least of your concerns.”

She observed him through calculating eyes, and he liked the way she looked at him, catching onto his line of thought.

“You are fourteen years old,” she said.

Read from the start! After finding out that his oldass dad is *dating* newly reappointed CyberLife CEO Elijah Kamski, Leo will do what it takes to steal Kamski for himself, just to spite Carl. For great justice, and hopefully for great sex.
