“You fell asleep and I didn’t want to keep watching project runway without you, so…” Patrick trailed off, running his fingers through David’s hair.

Patrick stared at her with big whiskey eye, pleading. "I'm trying." She handed Patrick her ring. "Go find happiness."

Patrick sat on another couch, watching hockey. A tall dark man perched next to him. Patrick opened his arms until David very slowly sank in. Patrick looked down, and David's over expressive face was finally at rest. Patrick kissed his head, content.
