How many major boss fights does your au have? You don't have to say who..maybe an amount?
Also I love your Shawn desgin! It's such a cool idea! Love it
Can't wait to see what comes up in this au!
I’ll tell you the first few:
Wally-Bot, The Projectionist, Hackenbush, Joey, and The Creator (all meant to be like the boss fights in game, save for Joey’s inclusion as a “boss”)
After that there are at least three more bosses that crop up due to some loop interference on Sammy and Shawn’s part :)
Akjbkjb thank you! I,,, just took Terrible Sin Shawn Angel and tweaked him a bit ^^;, but I always have the funny image of him say “Ah great now I’m the Angel-whatchamacallit” when I think about him.
And oh boy be careful what you wish for :))/lh

'Ink Demonth' Day 15 - Poisoning
Sammy stumbled away from Hackenbush, gagging and clutching where he had been stabbed by the syringe. The music director already looked as pale as a sheet making the rings under his eyes even more apparent, choking and coughing up ink, and shaking as though he'd collapse at any moment. Sammy looked at his now ink stained hand before gasping and clutching his throat, looking at the doctor with wide eyes.
"What did you do to me, Darren?"

Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184: Mountain Climbing Mecha Combat #1369
(By Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184) Mountain Climbing Mecha Combat #1369 Brought to you by ANN Highlighting the May 3365 Top Line Only This time the Gaming Authorities held a Top Row Only event, -or as I look at it; a serial Point Mech event. While it have some similarities to a Frontline event, the fact that only one Mech from each side will be fighting at a time makes the selection process really important. Which Mechs you use, how you arm and equip them is what will give you an edge over opponents who just send in their main line. Admittedly, most Commanders probably have all of the top Mechs in their main line already, and flattening that line to fill the upper row is not hard. But as the threaths of Fork, Splash and Wide Fork have to be acknowlegded in a regular line, here some change in shielding to counter Trample is needed. This also affects the weapon loadout. As you only have to deal with one Mech at a time, high Speed, Crit and Slow/Freeze might be even more important than big multiples. And of course, a hefty Trample to damage the reserve opposing Mechs certainly doesnt hurt. I was unsure of what rides to use. As we yet again were to face an uphill battle on K3 against mostly 200 club members, the temptation to bring some Penners along were strong. But Bruno (my chief Tech) poured a bucket of cold water over me when I suggested such a thing. "Dont be even more daft than usual. Yeah, the Penner can carry some more weapons, but those we have are so far from fully upgraded that they have barely room for half of the equipment the opponents will have" I was told to run away and dont bother him as he prepared the formation, and as he usually know what he talks about that was what I did. A few minutes before the scramble I returned, and  picked up the rides. A trio of Humbabas, backed by another trio of Notoses and a Cyclops to bring up the rear. We arrived and were shown a place on the plains. The only other Commander who hadnt reached the 200 mark yet was Leopold Hackenbush from Death`s Collectors. The top was held by Darren Jackson from Myth and Legends Team Banzai, and the slopes were overflowing with some of my hardest adversaries. Ken Fuchs and Darryl Proctor from Northwind Dragons, myeponym from Death`s Collectors and KiloTone Recoil from the Brotherhood of Arcane Dragons. My only hope was that at least some of them had brought their regular formations. In that case we might perhaps be able to win some fights. Of course, to do so required us to push our way onto the foothills first, and we met some reverses before a spot was claimed there. It was a good thing that we had a full load of hatorades. After a handfull of failures we finally managed to defeat Proctor. Question was when he would come back? To get ourselves out of his range, some additional attacks were made, and soon the slopes was a furball of dimensions. It seemed all of us could beat each other, -given enough tries in our case, (while none could touch Jackson on the top) and the hatorades disappeared almost faster than they could be opened. When we were down to four fights left I called a halt to the attacks, and as none of the others was attacking either, an uneasy truce  settled over the slopes. My crew started getting some footage, so when the light flashed shortly after, it was easy to see that this time the winners had been: Div 1 343+ (37 Commanders): Claude Poirier, Nemesis (2m,39s) 2: Roy Cheah 3: Sherriff Leary Wretham 4: Mk Mathews 5: Fabio Favaro 6: Jaime Beltran 7: Bernard Johnson 8: Gary Muenzel 9: Jeff Haas 10: Were Wolf Div 2 -342 (11 Commanders): David Sifford, Northwind Dragons (4m,34s) Div 3 -256 (17 Commanders): Darren Jackson, M&L Team Banzai (1h,40m) Div 4 -189 (29 Commanders): Brian Wilson, Smurf Platoon (3m,57s) Div 5 -143 (21 Commanders): Jack Myers, Black Star Bandits (1h,49m) Div 6 -100 (21 Commanders): Mike Slowenski, Chess Dragons (2h,17m) Div 7 -76 (22 Commanders): Fredo Gustavo, Renegades (2h,6m) Div 8 -49 (17 Commanders): Mathew Le Gassick, *R.V.* (1h,28m) Div 9 -33 (20 Commanders): Cathy Goetz, I.N.A. (14h,12m) Div 10 -21 (14 Commanders): Ken Bud, Ronins 2 (1d,15h) Div 11 -11 (13 Commanders): DamnWei, almanac clan (1d,44m) Total Contestants: 202 Total medals claimed: 158 (of 165 possible) Compared to the previous (Anzu) event, the participation was increased by three-score and two. But there was still some imbalance between the tops, so a total of seven Bronzes from a trio of tops ended unclaimed and had to be returned for resmelting. The last half-hour saw a trio of Golds changing hands at least once. Five Golds were held for at least two hours, two of them for more than a day. So while we had some hard fights, most of the winners seemed to have been quite unaproachable this time. But did the same hold true for the lesser prizes? We try to find out by looking at the number of medals held for more than 30 minutes in this event: .............Silvers......Bronzes Div 1 ....0 of 4.........4 of 10 Div 2 ....1 of 4.........4 of 6 Div 3 ....0 of 4.........8 of 10 Div 4 ....0 of 4.........7 of 10 Div 5 ....4 of 4.......10 of 10 Div 6 ....3 of 4.........7 of 10 Div 7 ....2 of 4.........8 of 10 Div 8 ....3 of 4.........9 of 10 Div 9 ....4 of 4.......10 of 10 Div 10 ..4 of 4.........9 of 9 Div 11 ..4 of 4.........8 of 8 We had a quartet of tops (K5, K9, K10 and K11) where no succesfull medal attacks was launched. In fact, on K11 no successfull medal attacks was launched the last day. But on Mount Olympus, K2 and K4 was there quite fierce action that resulted in most of the medals ending in fresh hands.. The last four tops had a total medal-turnover of eight Silvers and eight Bronzes. None of the clans managed to claim more than one Gold in this event, and none of the unaligned Commanders managed to claim a Gold either. The sole repeat winner was Darren Jackson from Myrth and Legends Team Banzai on K3. Upcoming event: Orester Here we get an tonnage limited event. No Mech massing more than 65 tons will be leagal on any of the tops. In addition, on the eight highest tops the Orrester is supposed to have its day, so a Commander is only allowed to bring ONE non-Orrester along. Event ends November 17 between 1600 and 1630 New York Time

Here's some doodles for Terrible Sin! I know I already posted the Hackenbush one, but it was on the page, so I included it anyway.
The Hackenbush and Buddy ones were character sketches to pin down their designs, and the other two are scenes from the story.

Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184: Mountain Climbing Mecha Combat #1291
(By Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184) Mountain Climbing Mecha Combat #1291
Brought to you by ANN
Highlighting the July 3361 Wolfpack
The Gaming Authorities once more gave us an event where each Mech had to mass at or below a certain tonnage, -this time 55 tons
Some commanders heads had perked up at the name of the contest, thinking we finally would get a long awaited Warg event. But no. While we certainly were allowed to bring Wargs, they were not the mandatory Mech this time either.
Now, a Mech is surely enhanced by the equipment it carries, and there are equipment a Commander can buy to make the Wargs fearsome beasts indead. (Escape Pod/Plasma Orb, Unitam Actuators, and Cold Fusion M.E.N.D. would be my prefernces) Unfortunately, none of them enhances Ice weapons, and besides, -my purse was too slim to allow purchase of such enhancements.
Under those circumstances, the 50 tons Daemons was a better choice, but the best in my view was the 40 ton Nephilax, so those had to do the yeoman service in my formation. One line of Novum scouts, a couple Fideses and a pair of Cindrons to give fire support rounded off the formation, and we were ready to go mountainclimbing.
Upon our arrival, K3 was partly deserted, so a spot in the foothills was avialiable. And half of the opponents was still in their main formations, so it was no big trouble to claim the lowest spot on the slopes. But above me the opponents were in formation, and too strong to budge. Darren Jackson of Myth and Legends Team Banzai was just below a deadly trio from the Northwind Dragons; Terry Harper, Ken Fuchs and on top Darryl Proctor.
As beating any of them besides Proctor wouldnt give me any additional prizes, my efforts was bent toward displacing him. Alas, his Mechs dealt sharply with any tries we made, and after a dozen abject failures it was time to call it a day. The rest of the climb was spent worrying about those below me and gaining footage of what fighting took place on the rest of the tops.
So when the light flashed, it was clear thet the winners had been.
Div 1 396+ (26 Commanders): Claude Poirier, Nemesis (21m,38s) 2: Fabio Favaro 3: Sherriff Leary Wretham 4: Jeff Haas 5: Bernard Johnson 6: Were Wolf 7: Christine Mainer 8: Sal Vezzosi Jr 9: Makema Mathews 10: Gary Muenzel Div 2 -395 (9 Commanders): Yusuke Paul Okabayashi, M&L Team Banzai (40m,35s) Div 3 -292 (11 Commanders): Darryl Proctor, Northwind Dragons (2h,23m) Div 4 -212 (14 Commanders): Leopold Hackenbush, Death`s Collectors (8h,39m) Div 5 -168 (31 Commanders): Brian Vaughan, T.B. BlackWatch (13h,26m) Div 6 -116 (17 Commanders): Mike Slowenski, Chess Dragons (1h,5m) Div 7 -86 (20 Commanders): notwillard, Ronins (23h,34m) Div 8 -56 (12 Commanders): Rch Gibas, Arctic Warfare Bandits (1h,59m) Div 9 -36 (12 Commanders): RobertGoetz, Jagdstaffel 2 (1d,1h) Div 10 -22 (14 Commanders): Iaskottelu, RED AXE (2h,11m) Div 11 -11 (12 Commanders): katanaofluke (4h,18m)
2+5(G)+5+9(1S)+0+7(1S)+2+1+3(1S)+1(S)+0= One Gold, four Silvers and thirty Bronzes were awarded to Commanders who obviously had overweight Mechs in their formations.
Total Contestants: 178 Total medals claimed: 144 (of 165 possible)
Compared to the 30 ton event we just had, the number of contestants dwindled by a handfull. Worse was the increased imbalance between the tops. This time a total of twenty-one Bronzes from a total of seven tops ended unclaimed and had to be returned for resmelting.
The last half-hour saw only the Gold on Mount Olympus being contested, while seven Golds were held for more than two hours, one of them for more than a day. Sounds like we had strong winners, or maybe a lack of fighting spirit here, -but which? Hard to say, at least until we have looked at the number of medals held for more than 30 minutes in this event:
.............Silvers......Bronzes
Div 1 ....2 of 4.........3 of 10 Div 2 ....4 of 4.........4 of 4 Div 3 ....3 of 4.........5 of 6 Div 4 ....4 of 4.........9 of 9 Div 5 ....1 of 4.......10 of 10 Div 6 ....4 of 4.......10 of 10 Div 7 ....3 of 4.........6 of 10 Div 8 ....4 of 4.........6 of 7 Div 9 ....4 of 4.........7 of 7 Div 10 ..4 of 4.........9 of 9 Div 11 ..4 of 4.........7 of 7
On six of the tops (K2, K4, K6, K9, K10 and K11) there was not even one successfull medal attack. K8 had a late joiner and K3 had just a Silver strike. Only on Mount Olympus was the majority of the medals redistributed, while the action on K5 and K7 was fair at best.
While no single clan managed to bring home more than one Gold from this event, once more we had at least an unaligned winner: katanaofluke on K11 In addition we had two repeat winners; Mike Slowenski from the Chess Dragons got a follow up win, while Claude Poirier of Nemesis secured his third win in a row.
Upcoming event: Sixty Skirmish
This time the name is the explanation. Only Mechs massing 60 tons or less can be used in this event.
Event ends July 25 between 0100 and 0130 New York Time

Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184: Mecha Combat #964 -  August 3346 Point Mech Panic
(By Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184) Mountain Climbing Mecha Combat #964
Brought to you by ANN
Highlighting the August 3346 Point Mech Panic
As we have grown accustomed to, after the war the Gaming authorities held a Pointmech tournament. Well, actually it started just after the frontline had finished, but since I was a specialist in the war and it not was a Chrono, what was the hurry in jockeying for a position my troops couldnt hold?
Then round 3 happened, and quite a few of my Mechs were hors de combat. It was plenty to do when it came to repairs, both when it came to personell and machines. Then, the gates to … opened and Toshikos hordes came streaming out.
By untold heroics and sacrifices we managed to slow, contain and slowly push them back. But it was just the eye of the storm. We could see fresh hordes emerging, but for the moment they seemed content by building their strenght.
That made it possible for me to get to the arena and try out Brunos newest concept. A fire armed, freezing Humbaba.
The higher part of the mountain was awash in big names: Steve ChenRobbins, Bune Page and Leopold Hackenbush from the Death`s Brethren, Russ Painter and roward from Black Star Lycan Rangers and Darryl Proctor from Black Star Knights. Darren Jackson from M&L`s Blood Wolves, Jelloshots Succeddown of the Northwind Dragons, in addition to my many time nemesis Colin Toenjes of the Heroes.
As the balloon was about to go up, there was no time to waste, and I carved a path toward the top. The first strikes were ineffectual, but a few seconds before the scramble started the top was mine. For a couple of seconds at least.
The top was soon shrouded in cordite smoke and the stench of burned armor was only partially offset by the chill waves thet sucked in warmer air. It was a furball the likes I had not been involved in for a long time. Take the top, chug a super, look where you are and see who is on the top. Attack, and find someone else claimed the top in the two seconds between you feeding target info to the A.I. and the actual attack.
Into this swirling chaos charged my clanmate Able Hunter.
Now, I love having someone I can trust to cover my back, but in this kind of chaos, being alone and knowing anyone else around is a target, leaves no doubts when it comes to pushing the fire button. Now I had better take an extra split second to make sure no untoward blue on blue happened.
The swirl of battle intensified, and I drained my fourth super and charged the top again. A few seconds later I had been dethroned again, this time by Hackenbush. As I drew a bead on him, Able charged past and blew him off the top. I carefully removed my itchy triggerfinger from the button, and wiped quite a bit of sweat from my brow. As my hand dryed itself on my pants, Hackenbush returned and blew Able off the top again Snarling I reached for the targeting reticles, and was just about to fire when the light flashed and it was over.
A later scanning of footage taken from my gun cameras showed that those who was highest when that light flashed had been:
Div 1 288+ (34 Commanders): Daniel Scott, Leviathan (Kami)(1s) 2: Joe Kump 3: Fabio Favaro 4: Claude Poirier 5: George Warren 6: Sal Vezzosi Jr 7: Stroker Spot 8: Jaime Beltran 9: Jay Fleharty 10: David Buchanan Div 2 -287 (17 Commanders): Mk Mathews, ***R.V.*** (Notos)(1m,16s) Div 3 -200 (25 Commanders): Leopold Hackenbush, Death`s Brethren (Fext)(3s) Div 4 -155 (28 Commanders): Allan Brainstorm, M&L Blood Wolves (Boreas)(14m,11s) Div 5 -122 (31 Commanders): Peli Huijari, Smurf Platoon (Fext)(32s) Div 6 -93 (30 Commanders): Cody Mckissick, HF 110th C.C. 1st A.R. (Antithesis)(41m,16s) Div 7 -72 (40 Commanders): victorbrown, M.P.A. "Rangers" (Ignis)(35m,38s) Div 8 -53 (20 Commanders): Barbstoyland Barbstoyland, Ronins (Ignis)(44m,2s) Div 9 -38 (15 Commanders): Bryn35, MurderMechs (Dilophos)(10h,40m) Div 10 -25 (18 Commanders): Kimberly Horn, *R.V. 2.0* (Fides)(4m,10s) Div 11 -16 (17 Commanders): MechPilot, Mad Mac`s Mechs (Fides)(1d,16h)
Total Contestants: 275 Total medals claimed: 165 (of 165 possible)
Compared to the mid-war Frontline event we had a slight drop in participation, -nine fewer Commanders showed up this time. But there was still enough fighting formations on all tops to make sure all the prizes were claimed.
I am not sure how long it have been since the last time the Boreas wasnt the most-winning model in either a Selfsame or a Pointmech event. In this event it only managed to claim one Gold, while a trio of other models; Fext, Ignis and Fides all claimed two. None of the Crystal models managed to get even one Gold though.
The last half-hour saw six Golds change hands at least once, three of them the last minute. Two Commanders managed to keep the Gold for more than two hours, one of them for more than a day.
Sounds like a really freewheeling event here, at least for the top prizes. But how hard were the struggles for the lesser prizes? To find out we cast a glance at the number of medals held for more than 30 minutes in this event:
.............Silvers......Bronzes Div 1 ....0 of 4.........2 of 10 Div 2 ....0 of 4.........8 of 10 Div 3 ....0 of 4.........4 of 10 Div 4 ....3 of 4.......10 of 10 Div 5 ....0 of 4.........4 of 10 Div 6 ....4 of 4.........8 of 10 Div 7 ....2 of 4.........6 of 10 Div 8 ....2 of 4.......10 of 10 Div 9 ....4 of 4.......10 of 10 Div 10 ..3 of 4.........9 of 10 Div 11 ..4 of 4.......10 of 10
On the many of the higher tops it was in general pretty much full action. Mount Olympus, K3 and K5 all saw the majority of the medals, including all Gods and Silvers change hands at a furious pace, of those 15 medals only a trio were held for more than fourty seconds. K2 and K7 also saw lots of action. On K4, K6, K8 and K10 it was relatively quiet and on K9 and K11 no successful attacks took place. Hard to believe as it might be, the fact is, all medals on K11 was held for more than a day!!!
No single clan managed to lay claim to more than one Gold in this event, and no unaligned Commanders rose to the top this time. Neither did any of the Frontline winners manage to get a follow up win.
Upcoming event: Cruiserweight Chrono
Cruiserweight cowers a range of tonnages, but in this case the heaviest Mechs allowed to fight on the tops are 65 tons. As always a Commander can bring whatever Mechs he have and can put into the formation, but overweight Mechs will be treated as empty spaces when it comes to fighting, so using lighter Mechs is much prefered to heavier. As it is a Chrono, showing up ASAP and starting to collect points is highly recommended for those who want (good) prizes
Event ends April 28 between 1000 and 1030 New York Time
