He had gushed about you for ages now, seemingly never shutting up about how perfect you were or how much he adored you. Whenever anyone asked why you had yet to attend a race Daniel would explain that you had school, or work, or just weren’t ready to face all of the media that came along with being on the arm of an F1 driver.

Lando had teased him a bit, saying that you probably weren’t real, you were just some imaginary girlfriend that Daniel had made up. To which Daniel just scoffs, and nudges Max.

“You’ve met her! Tell him she’s real!”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Max says attempting to hold his laughter in.

When the day comes that Daniel finally brings you to the track, it’s for the Austin Grand Prix. You know it’s his favorite and genuinely want to be there to experience that joy together.

Just as you predicted cameras are everywhere, snapping photo after photo of you. Daniel holds you close to him, attempting to shield you with his body.

Once you’ve finally managed to make it to the AlphaTauri garage you can take a deep breath.

One by one the other drivers appear and introduce themselves. Each one surprised by your quiet introduction and hesitant handshakes. All while Daniel stands behind you grinning.

They all pester Max about it, asking how you and Daniel could possibly work. Daniel, the center of attention, the person that will make friends with anyone and everyone. And you, who sits quietly in the garage, only really ever speaking to Daniel, or when someone else speaks to you.

Max laughs, and explains just how perfect you are for each other. Daniel told him that when he’s with you he feels a sense of calm, like he’s no longer a world famous athlete, you make him feel like he can be just Daniel. And when Daniel is with you, a spark lights up in your eyes, a smile spreads across your face. You’re suddenly like a new person, Daniel brings out a playfulness in you that you keep locked away when he isn’t there.

They can all understand exactly what Max says when they see Daniel run to find you after the race. You drop the headphones you were wearing and practically jump into his arms as he spins you around. He plants a kiss against your lips and pulls away with a smile. You’ve got a smile too, staring up into his eyes.

And the others know, you’re looking at your world when you look at each other.

Seeing people be pissed at Danny + calling him delusional because of an account that frequently twists words, and did exactly that is so frustrating. He's actually been quite realistic in his expectations of the Alpha Tauri, he knows it has a lot of problems and is hoping he and Yuki can work together to solve them (I think he specifically mentioned the balance problems).
