I would 1000% watch a series were a bunch of our favorite spidey people live in one house for like a year for (insert reason here) And Miguel and Peter B. Parker (and MJ respectively lol) have to parent everyone.
Miles' mom and Dad think he's staying at some prestigious school overseas and he has to keep up the lie (Hobie tries real hard to convince him to come clean) Gwen's Dad is still learning to cope with his daughter being spiderwoman, Pavitr's grandma knows and is chill (he's still afraid of Gaytari's dad lol) and Hobie could quite literally care less what others think. Obviously.
Miguel ever so slowly gets the family he's always wanted. Peter B. ends up adopting everyone and everyone's just goofing off and happy dangit

Welcome back, friend, to the Leheniks at the rock dwelling. Two-parter this time. Things have got shaken up since last round; Indartsu's wife has left him for the next door casanova, making him a single dad. Thankfully goodest boy Klutz and grandma Maitea's around to help out.
Tumblr media
And auntie Lorea is also here.
Tumblr media
Maitea inherited some dough from her buddy Marama who passed away last round.
Tumblr media
I think she's telling Indartsu she wants to spend the money on a snazzy new outfit.
But, alas...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Visiting daughter-in-law Doaivu will not stop heart-farting over her MIL's hawtness even as she's literally dying in front of her. Time and place, love.
And yeah, there goes our longest-living Gen 0 sim. Rest in peace.
Tumblr media
The 6th, unspecified benefactee is Maitea's grandson, Aitor. No surprises there. Also get wrecked Ausarta LMAOOO
Tumblr media
Oh right, sorry. I'll be respectful. It's very sad.
Anyway, the next morning, as Lorea tends the garden
Tumblr media
she is joined by prettiest family cat Balin

who thinks he's making a new friend ...
Tumblr media
Oh noooo
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dangit, and it's her birthday and these are her other wants. I can't get you a bloody pianee Lorea I'm sorry
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Little does she know her brother and his ex-wife are getting along again... like she's married to someone else now but whatever
Tumblr media
Yeah, and it's not even to this guy. Why are my sims like this? You're a family sim, Tanna, come on

Oh hey and Lorea aged up! Only slightly terribly this time, I guess she saw a wolf when I wasn't looking.
Now get dating young lady! All these amiable bachelors won't marry themselves!

Carson has decided to get to know Grim.
Carson: Why are you freaking out over my aunt having a baby? Don’t you exclusively handle death?
Grim: That’s a popular misconception. Life is a cycle, I work with both sides of it. I’m actually great with nooboos, but most of you forget me by the time you hit the toddler stage.
Carson: That’s sad for you.
Grim: I keep busy.
Carson: Reaping Sims?
Grim: --And scrapbooking, kayaking, and I’ve just learned how to cross-stitch! Once, the ghost of your grandma and I stole some priceless artwork and drew on it. Oh, I probably shouldn’t be telling you that, you’re young enough to still be impressionable.
Carson: Too late to take it back now!
Grim: Dangit. Your grandparents warned me you were sharp! Anyways, I gotta go. The Silva family’s about to get unexpectedly bigger.
Carson: Bye Grim! It sucks you took my Grandma, but take care of her anyway!

Mando needs to adopt a grandma next. Some crotchety old lady who will look after the ship and bake cookies and knit sweaters for Yodito and chew Mando out when he leaves his boots in the middle of the floor. Bonus points if she has a really sad backstory and feels just as lost and alone as Din, but finds purpose and joy in taking care of him and Baby Yoda.

Blaze
Parents: Verosika (mum), Sally May (mum)
-I came up with the name Blaze, so for now we’ll call him that. Blaze is a rock music enthusiast and has strong opinions on music, he has mastered the art of the electric guitar, drums and (regrettably) the banjo. He can sometimes come off as snobby when expressing his opinion but does have a genuine passion for it. He does various gigs around hell and has built himself a fanbase, both for his talents and his looks - Blaze is hot shit and he knows it, often being sent many many love letters, add it to the growing pile. With his hint of a country accent Blaze is very good at charming people
-While Blaze is very much at home in the city, being treated to five star quality restaurants and hotels, as well as the endless adoration from his fans, Blaze feels like a sore thumb amongst his Grandparents. Blaze doesn’t hate them, he just doesn’t wanna be seen hanging around at their farm, in the hand-me-down overalls his grandma gave him while his mother forces him to smile for a picture. Blaze thinks his grandparents' old fashion country ways are a little embarrassing, which can lead to him being blunt and sometimes rude whenever he’s forced to go down and visit them. Which is a shame, considering Blaze used to be a promising competitor in the Pain Games at the Harvest Moon Festival, before his talents in music started to take off. Blaze has tried to put this far behind him as mud wrestling is very much not cool, to this day Blaze can still play the wretched banjo to a T, dangit
-He’s pansexual as fuuuck, he doesn’t care what you’re packing: boy, girl, neither, both - if he likes you he likes you. At heart Blaze is a hopeless romantic and crushes quite easily, and depending on how much he likes someone it’ll either be easier or harder for him to hide his affections. He has a big old honking crush on Ripper, who is 100% not interested (Mako for obvious reasons does not like Blaze) Ripper pats Mako on the head and insists that Blaze is a harmless idiot and to not pay him any mind. Mako has thankfully learnt to roll his eyes at Blaze’s attempts to flirt with Ripper but is also prone to going “haha hey buddy I’m seriously going to strangle you if you don’t take a step back-” every now and then
-Being half succubus Blaze does have the ability to travel to and be summoned to the human world, this is something his parents don’t really want him doing, so Blaze going to the human world is more of a rebellion thing. He mostly goes there for a break whenever things are becoming a bit much for him
-He’s a big animal lover. Blaze’s favourite animals are poisonous dart frogs

Basted all the ears, sewed almost half of the bean pouches (boring, so boring)
Remembered to make an email account for Important RL Stuff. Thought of a better one now. Dangit.
Sat down to do a lil computer stuff suddenly 2.5 hours are gone. Huh.
Hoping I can get grandma to leave me alone.
She kept "why can't you be like X? They make TONS of money on computer"
Idk maybe because they had an office job (with frequent business trips) that turned into a position where they could work from home for the same company? It's still a regular job.
I don't know what kind of "regular job" thing I could do from home that would also work around my stupid schedule. Grandma goes to bed around 10, sometimes later. That's really the only time I can have that's uninterrupted.
She kept coming out and interrupting me while I was trying to read over the packet from the lawyer. Couldn't make any sense of it.

What I Thought About "Keeping Up A-Fear-Ances" from The Owl House
Salutations, random people on the internet who most likely won’t read this! I am an Ordinary Schmuck. I write stories and reviews and draw comics and cartoons!
When Dana Terrace did her AMA on Reddit, a fan asked what we could expect for the new season. To which she replied by listing five things:
Parental conflict
A lot of emotions
Island exploration
New characters
...There's a fifth thing in there. You just got to look closely.
Now, when Dana mentioned parental conflict, dozens of fans assumed she was talking about Alador and Odalia, which, I mean...valid. They were the only two parental figures who presented any real conflict, and the idea of Camila being involved seemed implausible due to Luz being cut off from the human world. But no matter how you perceived that line, one thing’s for sure: No one expected Eda and Lilith's mother to be a source of conflict!
Yup. Today we met the woman who created two of the (former) greatest witches in all of the Isles. Was her introduction welcomed? Or did she give the Blights a run for their money for the "Worst Parent(s) of the Year" award? Only spoilers can answer those questions, so keep that in mind as we go in-depth with "Keeping Up A-Fear-Ances."
Let's review, shall we!
WHAT I LIKED
The Flashback: Already, this episode comes out swinging by giving us so much information! We get an explanation of what Eda goes through when cursed (which is horrifying), the reasoning behind her gem, the revelation that Eda ran away from home, and the reveal of how she got the portal door. The best part is, none of it feels rushed or forced. Eda's curse and the portal are integral threads to this story, both in this episode and in future ones. Tying them together sets up Gwendolyn's determination to cure her daughter while showing Eda's determination to escape her mother by skipping town into another dimension. There's also a sense of mystery in how and why the portal was in their backyard. And judging by how we got all of this incredible information in episode FOUR of the new season, something tells me we'll get answers to those questions sooner than we might think. This was such a strong opening to the episode. Despite giving so much information, it makes fans like me want even more. Which is an A+ in my book.
Gwendolyn: Yeah, might as well step out the gate in saying that I like Gwen...but I can already see how others won't. Immediately, she sets herself up as a mother who would do anything and everything to cure her daughter. That aspect of her character is perfect, and it quickly won points from me in terms of liking her. It's just that Gwendolyn's disregard of what Eda wants and the complete dismissal of Lilith are aspects of Gwen that are certainly going to rub some people the wrong way. Especially if those kids come from households where their parents are a lot like Gwendolyn. I was in the same boat of hating her too for a while, but thankfully, the last act saved her.
First, there's that scene where Gwendolyn threatened the lives of the demons for not only screwing her over but making things worse for Eda. It's one of those "Hell hath no fury like a mother scorned" moments that I always love to see.
Then there's the fact that Gwendolyn learns her lesson and, more importantly, apologizes. Not many actual abusive mothers would do that (Looking at you, Odalia), so it's nice to see that she makes an effort to make amends. Oh, and by the way, since I mentioned it, don't go around calling Gwendolyn abusive. She isn't. Or, at least, not to my eyes. If anything, she's a lot like Sara Fitzgerald from My Sister's Keeper (The book. Not the movie. The movie sucked).
In that story, Sara makes controversial choices that result in her youngest daughter Anna getting the short end of the stick due to putting all attention towards her eldest Kate. But here's the thing: KATE HAS CANCER! So while Sara's choices are beyond questionable, you can understand her point. And if you don't, well, I'd see how you would react when in her shoes. Trust me when I say that situations like this aren't always cut and dry. It's the same with Gwendolyn. She's far from "Mom of the year," but you understand where she's coming from. She wants to do what she can to help Eda, even if her methods could have been better. But that's just how I feel, and I can't speak for everyone who dealt with mothers far worse than her. If you refuse to forgive her, I'll understand. But to me, I consider Gwendolyn a worthy addition to the series.
(Plus, she just radiates Grandma energy when interacting with Luz. It's cute, and therefore I must love it!)
Luz: This season is on FIRE when presenting Luz!
I adore that the first thing we see her doing in this episode is sleeping after, most likely, another all-nighter to find a new portal. It proves that she has a determination made of iron and an intense dedication to getting back to Camila. In fact, it's that dedication that works as a perfect way to build a connection between Luz and Gwendolyn. They both want to reconnect with their families and are willing to do whatever it takes to do so.
Regardless, despite so desperately wanting to see Camila again, I'm glad that Luz still has common sense when it comes to helping Eda. She quickly sees that Gwen's cures are doing more harm than good, and it's great that Luz is the one to call malarky on the whole thing. No one had to spell things out for her because she's smart enough to notice that everything Professor Warlop is marketing feels a lot more like the fake medicine real people sell in the human world. It's a testament that despite having a big heart and the best intentions, Luz still has the intelligence to know when something is up and put a stop to it. And, again, let's hope that more people pick up on that.
Lilith: ...who would have expected Lilith of all characters to have most of the emotional moments in this episode?! I sure didn't!
But...Yeah. Lilith is the best thing in "Keeping Up A-Fear-Ances." On top of her seeking Gwendolyn's approval being relatable for some viewers, it's also really heartbreaking. I mean, listen to the shocked and hurt tone in her voice after finding out Gwen visited Eda regularly. That alone should give away how much Gwendolyn is important to Lilith and says so much about how strained their relationship became after the curse. Then there's that scene where she just breaks down, feeling both scared and torn apart by the fact that she experienced the curse in its full form and could do nothing to stop herself. It...stung. That's the best way to describe it. It stung seeing a character who is (mostly) cool and collective to become so vulnerable and broken. And, you know what? It's because of this that Lilith has won me over. I still don't think she should have been as forgiven as quickly as she was, but after learning what Lilith went through and what she's currently going through, I'm more than willing to be ok with her. And--I can't believe I'm saying this--I'm going to miss her being a part of the Owl House. She earned her place, in my opinion, creating entertaining dynamics with everyone. Sure, she'll make appearances every now and again, but I wouldn't mind a few more episodes with her being with the main group. But I'm positive the writers will have plans for her in the future and seeing how well she was written in this, I can't wait to see what they do next.
King Hoping to see his Dad Again: This was just a cute tidbit that ties nicely into last week's episode. Bonus points for that scene where King and Lilith get drunk off of Night Market ice cream. It got a good chuckle out of me, especially when Hooty was the one who ended up being the voice of reason.
Cursed Lilith: ...How does she look worse and more terrifying than Eda?
How Beast Keeping Magic Works: Not much I can say about this. It's neat to be given a visual explanation of how Beast Keeping magic works and how it's more than just controlling animals. Judging by the roof shingles, it can also be making objects more animal-like. It's pretty cool, and I hope to see more of how the rest of the magic from the prominent covens work.
Luz wasn’t the only human: To tell you the truth, this doesn't surprise me. Eda did say that every myth humans have is a bit of the Boiling Isles leaking into the human world, so why can't the opposite be true? However, the reveal of there being a famous human around many years ago presents many more questions, and possible theories, that deserve to be discussed in a future post. For now, I'll just say that it's awesome how this reveal perfectly transitions us to next week's episode, "Through the Looking Glass Ruins." We already know Luz is going to the library. But, seeing how Gus is going to be a prominent character in that episode as well, he probably wanted to tag along with Luz to study about the first human in the Boiling Isles. Only to then get sidetracked by some cool kids from Glandis. It's in the realm of possibility, thus proving how more serialized this season compared to Season One while still being somewhat episodic. Because even if "Keeping Up A-Fear-Ances" presents a lot for the overall story, it's still its own tale about family relationships and knowing how to truly be there for the people you love. Resulting in a necessary and cute episode that ends on a wholesome note without any major surprises like--
Creepy Clone Luz: ...
...Dana Terrace, you lying--YOU SAID CREEPY LUZ WAS A FARCE! IN THE SAME AMA, TOO! CURSE YOU! CURSE YOU AND YOUR SNAKE TONGUE, GOSH DANGIT!
...Alright, now that I got my overreaction out of the way, this was an amazingly well-written surprise!
Tricking fans into thinking that Camila is crying over the realization that Luz is gone, only to then reveal this...thing, is the best shock to the system that this series has done so far. Even better, it results in all the right questions:
Who is it?
What is it?
Where did it come from?
When did it get there?
How did it get there?
How does it know about Camila?
And why? Just, why?
To me, a series that presents all of these questions, and makes me excited for whatever answers are given, is a series that's doing something right. Because if I'm still reeling over something that lasts for a second, despite seeing the episode hours ago, that is a testament to how good a surprise really is.
WHAT I DISLIKED
Trust me, I want to give this episode the A+ just for that ending alone. But, there are some issues I have that are worth discussing.
Eda’s Outfit Change: I know. It's the nitpickiest of all nitpicks I could present. Particularly because Eda doesn't even look bad (although that's no surprise). The issue is that it feels weird that Eda's having this permanent outfit change in the fourth episode of Season Two. Or, to me it is, at least. Because I think that if you're going to give a small yet constant change to the look of a character, it should be done right away. Like, in the first episode of a new season. I highly doubt fans would question why Eda is wearing different clothes by then, so it wouldn't be too bad if the first time we see her, she’s sporting a new outfit. Again, this is just me, and I have no problems with the outfit itself. It just seems odd they would do this later rather than sooner.
Screwing with Eda: I...did not like this. At all. It was funny at first to see Luz and Gwendolyn lure Eda with Apple Blood like how Wile E. Coyote would bait the Road Runner with birdseed, but it quickly took a turn. Because I don't want to see Eda meet inconvenience after inconvenience from her mother and surrogate daughter. I like Eda, and seeing her happy makes me happy. If I wanted to laugh at a character's suffering, I would have picked Boscha, Mattholomule, Alador, and/or Odalia. This? This was just unnecessary cruelness to a character who doesn't deserve it. And it takes up a good chunk of this episode, making me question whether or not this would be the stinker I was fearing. Fortunately, the ending increased my enjoyment by several notches, but that doesn't change how this was the low point of "Keeping Up A-Fear-Ances."
IN CONCLUSION
Despite the road being rocky in the middle, I still consider "Keeping Up A-Fear-Ances" to be another solid A episode. The first and last few minutes have some quality writing that adds more to the characters, ongoing plot, and mystery that the series is building up. It's one of those important episodes you can't skip when watching a series, but given how it's keeping the new season's impeccable track record, I fail to see how that's a problem.
(Although, I am scared. We haven't gotten a stinker yet, and I really don't want it to be next week's episode. It's a Gus episode with sweet Lumity content on the side! That cannot fail!)

Bloom! So I am indeed rewriting season 1 and honestly Bloom is one of the more changed aspects so to suit her I changed her style! This is not set in stone at all, well her fairy form at least.
More notes on outfits and how I’m portraying her under the cut!
Bloom is a very flat character to me, or season 1 really. While yes she is a good character, she seems to respond to situations weirdly to me, her whole returning home and just abandoning school comes out of nowhere to me and I literally had to read about her tendency to run away from the wiki. As well, hobbies are mentioned in ep 1 and a little in ep 2 and completely abandoned! Like?? My rewrite is sticking to the plot, so I changed her to make it make more sense.
Bloom is incredibly family oriented, its her everything, especially in a town that slowly began to turn against her for how strange she seemed to become over the years. She’s anxious but curious, willing to face the world yet is seated deep in a pit of fear and only willing to open up to those she trusts. Even than, she is compassionate and protective of her friends, and can grow angry and emotional when those she cares for is threatened. She’s also incredibly stubborn to a fault, strong willed and willingly to get angry if she trully thinks its whats best for her family, friends, or herself though is often strangely a mediator between friends. She’s a fish out of water and afraid of the world of fairies, largely due to her obsession with traditional folklore and belief of them being like traditional fae, and as well, she’s afraid of herself.
Still, she’s an artist true and true and adores her strange little friend who looks like a rabbit but acts to smart to really be one. She once preferred to spend her time in the woods drawing where the people of her town who hated her wouldn’t find her, yet now she just adores being with her friends, who, while she is deathly homesick, become her home away from home.
Bloom is based in issues of identity and family connections.
ALRIGHT SO AS A NOTE: Bloom is a bit tanner because she spends more time outside in my Fanon! She also has a bunch of freckles because of this! Also she has lizard eyes, and I’m not going into detail with this cause spoilers for ch. 1 lol though its not big. Her hair is still long and that red thats so shocking into almost impossible, I like to think it moves like fire in the sun. She’s also got sharp teeth! She isn’t very used to them and bites her tongue a lot and its just generally annoying in general. I think this is also pretty obvious, but I have a big issue with the original body types of the characters/how they’re drawn. Now, I won’t go into it today (I may one day because reasons), so I’ll go into the reason for her specific type? I like to think fairies are generally lighter in order to keep airborne and have less strain on magic, BUT I also think that their kind of magical attacks can affect their body type. Bloom is large shocks of power and getting away. She also draws a lot, bikes, helps in her mom’s shop so she is also active but apparently she also really likes baking? So idk. She needs to get hit a lot but I also wanted to display that and her having a softer frame, obviously having meat on her bones, especially one who isn’t acrobatic or working out constantly. I hope that makes sense?
Her outfits reflect her past really, she isn’t the richest of families so her clothes are supposed to be interchangeable yet still comfortable. She just likes feeling safe.
Outfit 1 is what I wanted for ep 1 really, the sweater is handmade from her grandmother and yes she wears it in the summer. The little hair pin I like to think is from Stella who decided it matched Bloom’s eyes. Mainly I like Bloom wearing pants because she literally bikes everywhere in my fanon and chases Kiko in the woods.
Outfit 2 is just what I wanted for fun! Her favorite colors are white, blue, and pink and gosh dangit she can wear her favorite colors! The locket (not that you can see it lol) says Daphne as a small nod and honestly I just like baggy shirts.
Fairy Form? I had no idea what the fuck I was doing with this. I wanted a more armored princess effect with shorts because. She. Is. In. The. Air! Gosh dangit! She also has scales (thanks fuz!) because dragon motif, they offer armored resistance because she hits hard and takes hard hits, she’s a tank basically. I wanted to keep a few key points, the jem on the chest, the crown (symbolism lol), and arm pieces, but I altered them a bit and darkened the colors because it looked weird originally on my design. Her wings are meant to mimic the bones ones of dragons and I like to think they’re stronger than an average fairies but she can’t fly as quick with them. She gains a bit more gold in her eyes.
A few fun facts?:
-She runs at a hotter temperature and isnt affected by hot temperatures, as well cold doesn’t bother her as bad.
-She can’t see auras but she is an empath.
-She’s bisexual in this, because my friend likes the alliteration of Bisexual Bloom.
-She has a few hobbies! Drawing and reading mainly though appreciates baking.
-She likes the little magic creatures around Alfea that are more like the traditional folklore, even if they are a bit more cutesy and strange. She’s friends with the brownies and little sprites and such!
-She and Sky would break up Season 2 fight me. They also wouldn’t bond with pixies because I hate them with a passion.
- A lot of her clothes have burns on them and she refuses to let anyone magically repair them, especially her favorite sweater which she’s waiting to get her grandma to get.
Oh and you should know in my rewrite she somehow becomes really attached to Tecna? Like they bond a lot? And I’m so down because its Stella, Bloom, and Tecna and its an odd dynamic but I adore it.

Can't Keep It a Secret Forever (Part 4)
Branch sat by the edge of Techno Lake and kicked his feet around in it.
He looked up at the starry night sky and sighed.
“I miss you,” He whispered quietly.
“Sup, Dubstep?” Synth jumped out of the lake like a dolphin.
Branch jumped up in surprise, and laughed a little. Then he looked back down at the ground again.
Synth’s usual smile faded away. He hopped up onto land and sat himself next to Branch.
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
Branch looked at him and then looked away, “Nothing,” he muttered.
“Hey,” Synth turned Branch’s face to him, “I can see something’s wrong,”
Branch looked at him, but stayed silent.
“You can tell me anything, Dubs. Even the serious stuff! I can be serious,” He said as a glowstick fell out of this hair, “Uh, I can be serious SOMETIMES,”
Branch chuckled and sighed, “I sorta said it in that little speech,” He looked away from him, “I lost my colors when I was about 3 or 4,”
Synth’s eyes widened, “Really?”
“Yeah. I felt responsible for my grandma’s death. Even though I knew she made the choice herself, she wouldn’t have had to make that choice if it hadn’t been for me. I was just so sad and angry, that it just kind of…took over.”
Branch looked up at Synth who had an understanding look in his eyes, though Branch didn’t understand why.
“I stayed that way for 20 years. It wasn’t until about a year ago that I regained them,”
Synth’s jaw dropped, “WHAT? That’s so long!” He wrapped his arms around his tail, “When the strings broke and we all lost our colors it was terrible. I felt so… empty and broken, “He looked at Branch with watery eyes, “You were like that for 20 years?”
Branch nodded sadly and looked down at the ground, "The sadness still comes back sometimes. And today is one of those days," He looked up at the sky, "Today was her birthday…"
Synth wrapped his arms around Branch, “I’m sorry,” he said pulling away, “I… I know what it’s like to lose a family member,” Synth whispered.
Branch looked up surprised, “You do?”
Synth nodded, “I had a twin sister. Her name was Wave. We partied together. Laughed together. We spent so much time together, that instead of calling us our separate names, people just mashed them together. We became Synthwave,”
“Sounds like you two were really close,”
“We were. Then one day, I was so lost in the beat, I didn’t see that glittershark coming, or hear Wave warning me. And she,” Synth’s voice broke. He wiped the tears that were flowing from his eyes, swallowed the lump in his throat and continued, “She pushed me out of the way,” Synth’s eyes went wide and he shivered, “I can still hear her screams…”
Branch sat stunned. Another troll, who had lost a loved one almost the same way as him.
He had thought of Synth as this party animal who didn’t have a care in the world, when really, he was using his beats and raves to keep his sadness at bay.
Branch grabbed Synth’s face, just as Synth had done with his, and turned it towards him.
“Hey, I’m here for you,” He pulled Synth closer, so close that their noses nearly touched, "I'll always be here for you,"
Then he pressed his lips to Synth's.
Synth's eyes widened in surprise, and Branch broke away from him.
"I-I'm sorry. It was too soon wasn't it?" Branch laid his head in his hands, "Dangit Branch, you ruin everything,"
Synth pulled Branch's head up and gave him a smirk, "Dubs? I've been hoping for that since the flavorberry patch. You had perfect timing," then he pulled Branch into a deeper kiss.
OoOooOOOooo, I hope you enjoyed this! I'm probably going to revisit this 'Lost Twin Sister' thing, it's pretty interesting. (Notice how I said LOST not dead? 🤔) I know Synth's story is basically the same as Branch's, but… eh.

Why do project ideas so often strike when I'm unable to draw or properly work them on paper? Dangit, brain, I'm at work, I don't have time to rework the structures of dinosaur communities!
Also I, like, really need to redo the character references.
Though, to quickly jot some ideas down, leaders aren't really a thing anymore, not in the way I originally set them years ago. The grandma is still the head of the clan, but Two Feathers has a special... Status ("hero"?) because of things she has performed.
Names are complex, and the Singing People have at least two, one being a full on song. (so for example Two Feathers is Two Feathers, but also a song telling her old baby name, her preferred way to be adressed, and all her heroics including that time she snatched the two titular feathers from the back of a giant and lived to tell the tale) The song names are usually used in celebrations during nesting seasons, when many clans come together for several months while their herds hatch calfs and it's, like, totally-not-a-status-thing-or-competition-my-name-just-is-better-than-yours.
