still thinking about how it was zorii, never seen without a gun, who taught poe how to use a blaster and it was poe, the best pilot in the galaxy, who taught zorii how to fly.

later in the war we see how adept poe is at shooting and how zorii was able to maneuver a starfighter in space with control precise enough to blast a first order warship to bits.

it goes to show the impact they had on each other’s lives. the significance of their relationship, no matter how short-lived it was. even when things between them ended the way it did, they were friends once who shared the best parts of themselves to each other.

Rant About Zorii

They write her as this mysterious and cool character who has a heart deep down, but then they make her abusive in Poe Dameron: Free Fall. I understand it was to not make Poe look bad and to justify him leaving, but, that ruins any appeal of Damebliss (Poe/Zorii) at least for me. I mean, people don't ship Marly/Ryder from Glee anymore because their actors were abusive towards each other! So if people don't ship two characters together because their ACTORS, not the characters themselves were abusive to each other, why would they ship a couple because one was abusive towards the other?

If they wanted Damebliss and for people to want to ship them, they should have just made Zorii similar to Alex Vause from Orange Is The New Black (f'd up, but nice enough for people to like her)- maybe even had Poe leave Zorii after Zorii's mom died (at the hands of one of her enemies seeking revenge or something). Sure, it's still f'd up on Poe's part, but it would at least be better than making Zorii abusive.
