Twenty years ago, one of my absolute favorite games released in Japan. One year later, I would pull some of the shadiest shit involving bad grades and a white out pen in order to get my hands on a gamecube-- to which I spent countless nights over the years pulling allnighters with friends (with the assistance of Doritos and a variety of mountain dew), create stupid ass OCs and """"original"""" comics, roleplay as one of its main villains-- Pokemon Colosseum holds a huge place in my heart.

Thank you Genius Sonority, Pokemon Company, and Nintendo, for this wonderfully dark and edgy experience.

More Colosseum art with Dakim! It was kinda hard to interpret his look via screenshots and such, it's not like we got a lot of clean promo renders of the Colosseum characters after all. So! Much like a certain sunglasses-wearing Youtuber filling in for a friend's morning series, I took a few liberties! Not too many, of course, so I hope he turned out well enough even if he's not entirely accurate hehe c:

OK, so I had an unusual dream yesterday. (this is another random Pokémon topic)

I’m in Pyrite Town (a prominent location in Pokémon Colosseum), and all of a sudden, the four Cipher Admins start swarming the town in search of Regieleki. Little did they realize, it was a hoax. I can’t imagine the looks on their faces! 😂

(I will make some artwork for this little dream/scenario eventually!)

...Owen seems rather hypocritical for calling Trea a 'coward anon' whilst also hiding his blog under anon.

Honestly that boy makes me think of Dakim, but less... affable.

Which is impressive since Dakim is real jerk, but at least he treated his subordinates with respect.

And he actually had the skill to back up his threats.

Both in Pokemon battles and physically hurting people.

Seriously, the man is built like a Golem.

Genuine question for everyone who sees this; is there a moment in any Non-PMD Pokémon game that you struggled for a long time to get past? Like legit caused you to rage quit, depression sleep, or some other method of “Fuck this I’m done” out of it? I’m gonna discount Brock in RBGY with Charmander because that’s near impossible as it is, and also Red in GSC because. He’s Red. I’ll start with a select few.

The first? Gary in Fire Red / Leaf Green. I was ALWAYS like 10 levels below him when I got to him as champion. That was more “struggled with many times over” and not a rage quit scenario, but damn it caught me up for a good long time.

Other notable moments for me were Brendan in Emerald just before Mauville (I always started with Torchic and his Marshtomp’s mudshot pissed me off), I’m sure we all hated dealing with Mewtwo in the GB/GBA Kanto games, and I remember Registeel giving me nothing but absolute shit, I spent like 3 days trying to catch that stubborn fuck. Miror B. in Colosseum was obnoxious too...

But the single most traumatizing douchenozzle to ever exist ever.................
