Me and a friend were looking at splitting the cost on the DELICIOUS PACK TIER for Sunless Skies (since after conversion we'd have to split ~82 CAD) but while it says x2 Cyclopian Owl Scout it seems to imply only 1 Delicious Rabbit. Will we both gain access to it or will we be locked in an eternal struggle over who gets the rabbit?

The Cyclopean Owl Scout comes with every copy of the game acquired via Kickstarter, including gift copies!

The Obviously Delivious Rabbit is a Mascot, and is only available at a higher tier - so if you want to receive the Rabbit, and so in order to get two, you’d have to both back at that level. Hope that clarifies!

I saw your rec list on reddit and wanted to know a bit more about the ones you pointed out. With that in mind, would you recommend Winter Roses, by fairytalelovr?

Just so everyone is on the same page, here is the recommendations I posted on Freefolk:

First off, I am going to recommend all of the fics by DolorousEdditor. The man is another victim of "never finishing a fic" but what he has is still excellent. He deals exclusively in AUs, and has written the only Jonsa fic that I feel makes any goddamn sense. His best (and longest) work is "Our Choices Seal Our Fates", and I recommend it to anybody. Be warned that the last chapter is a cliffhanger (and the last Dany chapter absolutley ends on an emotional arc). Still, you will enjoy the ride.

I cannot ignore the mammoth that is SerpentGuy's Dragons of Ice and Fire. SerpentGuy takes an alternative scenario, and goes down the rabbit hole. It is a massive, massive fic at more than 800K words. It is also not done. But there  is a reason why this is one of the most highly rated fics in the fandom. It has pacing issues, and the battles are his weakness. That does not take away from the cyclopian achievement of this piece of work. There is nothing else in the fandom that compares in scope.

Next should be Her Life and Her Death. I would essentially pitch it as "What if ASoIaF was written as a YA?" It is a very slow burn Jon/Dany fic, that balances politics with a childish heroic journey. It's not the smartest fic on the block (and the character assassination of Catelyn is shameful), but it is decent fun.

Home absolutely deserves a mention. It is a crossover between the show and the books, and acts as a finale to both. Rolltodd does a great job of emulating George's style, while still crafting his own. He keeps a good pace, and despite the opening title and tile suggesting otherwise, does a good job of not emphasizing the romance between Jon and Daenerys. There are many S8 fics out there, but Home has made bloody corpses of them all and reigns as king.

The North Remembers is rumored to be the only fic that George actually likes, and is a good counterargument of his belief against fanfiction. Definitely a longshot, but if true, it is well deserved. Qquenofhades makes sure that her prose matches GRRM's, and the tone of the series does more or less a good job of keeping pace with the original. The biggest criticism is that the author is very biased towards Sansa, Sandor, Jaime and Brienne, as those are the characters that get the most focus in the fic. The finale is definitely anticlimactic, although the final Theon chapter is stellar and tragic. Very highly recommended.

Lastly, and mostly because I want to pad out the post a bit more, I want to recommend my fic. A Song for Dragons asks the question what would happen if Jon sets out to Essos instead of the Wall. I wouldn't advertise my fic on my most circumstances, as it is a bit on the self serving side, but I often see it reposted on Freefolk or Tumblr as one of the better fics out there. I still think it is mediocre (as most writers see of their works!) but lots of people seem to enjoy it anyway. I must be doing something right.

None of these are short fics. By the time you get through them all, Season 8 will probably have started airing (and hopefully GRRM will announce TWOW. I know, I know, life is short and full of pain. But a man can dream, and hope, and perhaps perform a blood sacrifice or two).

With that out of the way, no, I cannot recommend Winter Roses because I have not gotten around to reading it. The main reason being that I have not really read it. I tried the opening chapter and could not get into it.
