Never failing to demolish any hope of a decent time on whatever planet the Doctor decided to take you all, this time. Finding that the future still unfortunately has Cybermen launches you into another adventure except this time they pose even more of a threat than ever because this time… they have the Doctor.

Out of all of the Doctor’s enemies, the Cybermen were the most persistent. Never failing to demolish any hope of a decent time on whatever planet the Doctor decided to take you all, this time.  
  You, Clara and the Doctor.  A new pair of companions but the same Doctor… again. Sometimes your heart clenched painfully for him; he’ll never truly escape lonliness. 
  Wrenching yourself out of your thoughts, you focus on what lies before you: the three of you and Clara’s “kids” had visited the most famous amusement park in the Galaxy with the full intention of being amused. As it turned out, the Cybermen had a completely different idea. 
  There had been a numerous amount of things you had deemed suspicious. The chess playing Cyberman that was completely unsuspicious and absolutely child friendly for example. Or the itty bitty bugs that looked undoubtedly like Cybermites littering the park. 
  As it turns out, you were right. The future still unfortunately has Cybermen except this time they pose even more of a threat than ever because this time… they have the Doctor. 
You don’t know how it happened. 
  First you and the Doctor had followed your curiosity and began studying one of the Cybermites. He found that there was an active frequency and once he’d pinpointed it, you both had been transported to this odd, technological looking room where you found Angus and Angie - both being controlled by the Cybermen. 
  The Doctor had immediately rushed over to make sure they were safe but was given no response. 
  He looked to the corner of the room and saw, “Wibley?” The owner of the place and now Cyberman. 
  “We needed children but the children had stopped coming,” he spoke coolly and began approaching you and the Doctor. “You brought us children. Hail to you, the Doctor! Saviour of the Cybermen.” 
  You glanced at the Doctor and saw the utter confusion and devastation on his face. You knew that that wasn’t true, the Doctor would never put peoples lives at risk like that, let alone kids (but he’d done it to you before, hadn’t he?).
  Almost peacefully, they both sat down at the table in the middle of the room; you stood behind the Doctor and were checking for any injuries on the two siblings. 
  Wibley began explaining the downfall of the Cybermen, how their technology wasn’t further developed enough to be able to survive in the future and so, very gradually, they began to develop. 
  To use the visitors of the park - children in particular - as spare parts. As repairs and updates for a more advanced race of Cybermen. 
  “The next model will be undefeatable.”
  “Nothings undefeatable,” the Doctor said darkly. Your brows furrowed a bit at his tone but you remained silent nonetheless. 
  Wibley rose abruptly and began walking towards you and the children. Standing defensively in front of them, Wibley payed no mind to your pathetic attempts at protection and continued to talk. “We needed children to build a new Cyberplanet. A child’s brain with its infinite potentials is perfect for our needs and yet… we no longer need the children.” 
  He turned to look down at you and the Doctor grabbed your arm and pulled you behind him. Almost as quickly as it had happened, he looked back to the Doctor. 
  “The Cybermites have been scanning your brain, Doctor. It’s quite remarkable.” Again, he started walking towards the Doctor and they both looked terrifying at that moment. 
  “Also useless to you, Cybermen need human parts. I’m. Not. Human. You can’t convert non-humans.” 
   Before the next words even left Wibley’s mouth, you knew what he was going to say: “That was true long ago but we’ve upgraded ourselves! Current Cyberunits use almost any living components.” 
  They were both looking at each other, the Doctor leaning against the table and Wibley by the wall opposite. Your eyes widened when you realised just what Wibley was reaching for in his pockets, dashing away from the kids and desperately jumping in front of the Doctor… but you were too late. 
  He’d thrown the Cybermites at the Doctor and they began climbing up him. 
  Raw panic overtook the Doctor’s face and he yelled at you to get back. You could only watch in horror as his entire body convulsed and twisted in grotesque ways on itself and onto the table. 
  His back was bent horrifically backwards and something was glowing blue on his face. 
  And then it stopped. Everything stopped. 
  A loud gasp echoed through the room and he straightened abruptly. “Incorporated,” he muttered, feeling his face and torso with his hands similar to when he regenerated. “A familiar pulmonary set up, nervous system hyper-conductive, remarkable brain processing speed,” this… this Cybercontrolled Doctor rambled. This couldn’t be happening, this could not be happening. 
  He ran up to Wibley, completely ignoring you and massaged his shoulders. You’d never been so scared in all your life - the Doctor wasn’t the Doctor, you were alone again. 
  “Oh yes,” he said again. His eyes darted to you and darkened immediately with something akin to curiosity. 
  His steps towards you were slow, torturously so, and the steps you took back didn’t seem to be big enough at all. “Now this is interesting.” 
  Before you could ask what, he spasmed again and the Doctor, your Doctor, took control. “Get out of my HEAD!” 
  He spasmed again and looked at you with twisted delight. “Relax! Relax, if you relax you’ll find this a perfectly pleasant experience.” 
  He grabbed one of your hands with his own and with the other, he placed it on your hip and began twirling you two around the room. What were you supposed to do? The Doctor was at war with himself and all you could do was watch. “You are being upgraded to being a Cyberplanner.”
  His fingers twitched in yours and a vengeful look crossed his face. Concern was found in his eyes as the Doctor gazed down at you. 
  “GET OUT OF MY HEAD!” He yelled in agony. Silent tears streamed down your face as you watched him. 
  Another twitch and he was back. His grip on you loosened in favour of him jumping onto the table. “This is brilliant!” He sings. 
  “I was so clever before but now I’m even more clever.”  He said that he’d have to rewrite the Doctor’s entire nervous system and you paled. If that was done then there would be no more Doctor forever. 
  “Doctor…” you said feebly. He ignored you. 
  “But this is going to be the most efficient Cyberplanner,” he said, arms stretched to either side of him. “Quite a dull name - I could call myself… Mister Clever.” 
  It was that that made you pause and almost laugh at the obscenity of the entire situation. The most intelligent Cyberman in the universe and the name he’d settled upon was something a nine year old would name their drawing? 
  “So much data. The Timelords,” you looked up at him, face dropping at his insane look. “There’s information on the Timelords in here. And - ohhhh, now that is interesting.” 
  You gulped as he looked down at you. 
  “Very, very interesting indeed.” 
  He jumped off the table, startling you, and stalked towards you like a predator. “Doctor? What are you doing?”  
  “Oh no, my dear. Dear old Doctor has been  locked up in here, away from anything and everything.” 
  Your lips quivered and you willed no more tears to fall. “You’re lying. He’s still in there, Doctor listen to me! You need to fight him! Come back, please!” You pleaded without paying any head to how desperate you sounded. 
  He smirked darkly at you. He’d backed you right into the children and seemed to cage you in with them. 
  Angie and Artie grabbed one of your arms each and continued to stare forward with a dead expression. You glimpsed Wibley exiting the room, leaving you to face this twisted Doctor on your own. 
  “Doctor, ple-“ 
  “The Doctor’s gone, (Y/N). And he won’t be coming back,” he twitched and your eyes widened, grasping at the opportunity. 
  “Doctor, Doctor! Fight it, I’m here. Oh, thank god. What can I do?” 
  He gasped for breath and raised a trembling hand to his breast pocket, pulling out his sonic screwdriver and thrust it into your chest. 
  “T-take this and go. Reverse the frequency of the Cybermite and go back to where you came from.” 
  You stared at him in bewilderment. “Doctor, I’m not leaving without you. Why would you even say th-?”
  “Take it now and go! I can’t stop him, I can’t stop what he’ll do to you,” he pleaded. You saw the sheer desperation and hopelessness in his eyes and knew then and there that you would do whatever it took to save him. 
  You square your shoulders. “No.” 
  “(Y/N)!” He twitched one last time and was left staring at the floor breathlessly. “Oh, (Y/N)... you really should’ve listened to him.” 
  You swallowed around the sob in your throat. “I’m not leaving without him.” 
  Finally, he looked up and you gasped. His eyes… the colours were… changing? “Then, you’ll never leave again.” 
  Within the next second, he threw something at you and you registered crawling and several little pinpricks. You desperately tried to wrench your arms from the children's grasp so that  you could claw at whatever was climbing up your chest up to your neck and dotting all over your face. It hurts! Oh god, it hurts. You wanted to plead with the thing in front of you to make it stop. 
  You mouthed a plea but it was stolen from you. A pain unlike anything you’d ever felt spawned from your forehead as the pinpricks stabbed into it, planting itself within your skin and making your eyes roll back into your head.  
  An unearthly scream ripped itself from your throat and echoed horrifically throughout the room. 
  Suddenly, you were overwhelmed with a powerful fatigue and your eyes refused to focus on the man in front of you. “What’d you… do to m’?” You slurred. 
  He stood right in front of you and tilted your head up with his hand. Your eyes were drooping dangerously low and all of your other senses were muffled. 
  His closeness brought enough clarity for you to notice an almost fondness in his gaze as he looked down at you. 
  “I’m making you perfect,” and then it all went black. 
Opening your eyes took more effort than you cared to admit. Keeping them open was another story altogether. 
  The instant you managed to keep them open for longer than a second a full body shudder went through you. “Sh, sh, sh. Not yet, you’re not ready.” 
  The once comforting voice of the Doctor now made you go ramrod straight in terror. Your eyes refused to open to specify where exactly he was or where your current room was but you knew that regardless of the added vision, you’d still be as clueless, and as scared, as you were now. 
  There was an odd pressure on your forehead and multiple parts of your body were stinging unpleasantly. All you could do was let out indistinguishable noises of fear and pain. 
  You felt rather than saw the presence of the Doctor’s body looming over you. What you didn’t sense was his hand reaching for your forehead, almost hesitantly. When he touched it, you shuddered again but didn’t stop this time. 
  This time your body was writhing in whatever bindings confined you. Screams tore from your throat and your eyes bulged in their sockets.
  Makeitstopmakeitstopmakeitstopmakeit-
  “Open your eyes, (Y/N).” 
  Your eyes snapped open, unseeing. It was difficult to process anything other than-
  “Look at me,” said the Doctor. You looked at him immediately, no emotion present on your face. He tilted his head thoughtfully and clicked his tongue multiple times. “Not perfect yet, are you?”
  He stood from where he was above you and began rummaging around your cell, unworthy of being called anything else. “Come on, come on, come on, come on! Think! You’re the smartest Cybercontroller the Universe has ever seen and you’ve got a Timelords mind at your will. THINK!” 
  …timelord? 
  That word alone was enough to break you out of whatever stupor you were in. Jerking violently, you seethed at the Cyberman. “Let us go.”
  He looked at you again but not in response to what you said but in response to what caused you to say it. “That’s it, isn’t it? That’s what your deepest, darkest secret is Doctor, hey? You knew all along, didn’t you?” He yelled to no one. Hope foolishly filled you, could the Doctor still be in there? 
  “Of course you did,” he sneered. “But you were selfish, just like you always have been. And ohh, it’ll be your downfall.” 
  The Doctor’s body walked towards a console situated by your head. A few buttons were pressed and the metal slab you were on turned to a vertical angle, leaving the two of you with inches between you. 
  He shuddered a little bit and grinned manically. “Oh, Doctor. You truly are our saviour.” 
  “He’s not dead, is he?” 
  “He will be.” His breath fanned across your face and the horrid flashing blue lights from the Cybernetics on his face illuminated the gap between you. 
  Your lips quivered. “What do you want from us?” Hopelessness was all that could be heard in your voice. 
  He didn’t answer; only gripped your jaw with one of his hands and moved your face around studiously. You went to yank it out of his grip but it tightened painfully, making you whimper. 
  “Please don’t hurt me.” 
 “Hurt you? Pointless, waste of time. I’m upgrading you, I’m making you perfect!” He whispered… and then it began. 
  His eyes changed colour. Going from brown to blue to green to… to purple and pink and orange and green and- 
  It changed to every colour all at once and changed back again. They swirled and sifted and whirled and the patterns in them were difficult to make out. 
  Subconsciously, your head had leant forward towards the eyes, feeling the need to be as close to them as you could. 
  A gentle hand smoothed the hair from your eyes. It caused you to blink, confused at the reminder of other senses but any confusion vanished when it stroked your forehead. 
 You moaned quietly at the pleasurable feeling. 
  “Fascinating,” a voice said. You knew that voice… the Doctor! 
  “D’ctor,” you mumbled blearily, giving voice to your thoughts and were immediately quieted. 
  “Look at my eyes, (Y/N).” The voice was right; all you needed to do was look. At the pretty lights and colours… and patterns and… swirls…
  “That’s right, good girl,” you smiled drowsily at the praise. “Look deep into my eyes. Aren’t the patterns pretty?” They were pretty, the voice was right.  
  “Pr’tty.”
 The intensity of the eyes grew as they got closer and you found more and more of your attention being consumed by them. Something was still nagging at you though, something… deep… deep… deep in… in the eyes…
  “Don’t wander away from me, (Y/N). Just look at my eyes, focus entirely on them.” Something cool and calloused was touching each of your temples and in that moment it felt like there was nothing else in the universe apart from you and the eyes. 
  You let out a long sigh. 
  “That’s right, just breathe,” the feeling from your temples adjusted so that it cradled your face. Ever-so gently, it brushed your cheeks in a soothing manner. It didn’t take you long to feel drowsy. Fatigue crashed over you like a wave and you were drowning in its comfort.
  The eyes crinkled, “Sleep now, my little timelord.” Sleep sounded nice.
  Just as the warm blackness of sleep overtook you, you heard a final whisper.
  “When you wake up, you’ll be perfect.”

Just got to Nightmare in Silver in my Doctor Who rewatch. Still easily the best episode of Eleven’s series. I could watch Matt Smith as the Cybercontroller for hours, he just really knocks it out of the ballpark this episode.

Do you think the Doctor should only use violence as a last resort? Or be an absolute pacifist. If I wrote for the Doctor they would have no issues using it if they had to, but only as a last resort. They’d have no qualms about shooting Nazis or smothering the villain to death if that was what it took, I can say that much. What do you think?
Well... I am of the opinion that they should use violence-ONLY as a last resort. And I think a lot of Doctor Who shows that to be the case. The Doctor always talks about being pacifist at times, but then murders hundreds of Daleks. But the Daleks, just like the Nazis have it coming. They are the worst. 
But you have to do it in a way that isn’t too horrific. As it is a family show. Sometimes this is where characters like the Brigadier come in. Who go a little further, just so the Doctor can still appear to be the hero.
Also, if I was writing for Doctor Who. After Missy, the new Master would be a bit of a antihero. Maybe occasionally swinging from villain to antihero. Potentially becoming a recurring antihero that helps battle villains with the Doctor (I even have a potential ending for the show involving the Doctor and the Master for way down the track). But Chibnall seems to be retconning all of Missy’s character progress from Series 10, and making the Master revert to the way they were before. Not that I don’t enjoy the new Master. But after series 10, and how well Michelle Gomez portrayed the start of a potential redemption arc, I think the Master should be an occasional ally of the Doctor, who gets told off by the Doctor for going too far to save lives. A stark contrast to who the master used to be. But that is just me. I just would love to see an evolution of the character. So much potential. But I think I have swayed from the original question. Whoops...
Yes. The Doctor should use violence as a last resort, but should also try their best to be a pacifist. (But death to nazis and daleks tbh)

After an Incident in which Yaz and Ryan almost get killed, the Doctor, fearing the worst has happened again runs away, trying to escape from her emotions. And a tricky little voice starts whispering in our inventor’s ear. That it could give her freedom from all this, all the pain, all the expectation. It just needs her mechanical skills. And the rest of her.
A man with a duty of care and a Wanted sign on his back, opens the door to a woman who can’t possibly be who she says she is.
But there is a Lone Cyberman no longer in hiding, with a body, a brain, and a TARDIS.
And the Doctor will need all the help she can get to save herself.
