What is the after life like in Cyberaligned?
The Afterlife
So, there will be some context added into this bit of lore.
Cybertronians did not have a structured religion for the majority of its history before the Quintessons invaded. Cybertronians knew of Primus, the Guiding Hands, and the Primes as their supernatural beings. Primus was their god, and the Primes and Guiding Hands were the demi-god/disciples of Primus.
Primus gave the planet life, both by creating life and by fueling life. He was the start and end of Cybertron.
The Guiding Hands played a role in Cybertron's afterlife, with Mortilus. She is essentially the Cybertronian Grim Reaper of my continuity. She keeps records of how each Cybertronian passes, which many fall under the same fate due to the war. When she is done recording, she passes her duties off to the Thirteenth.
The Thirteenth is the calmest of the 13 Primes. He holds no real physical body, and floats between the metaphysical realm and the real world. His job as a Prime is to guide the newly separated sparks into the afterlife. His presence radiates peace, easing the wary souls of the Cybertronians who passed. He leads them to the River to the All Spark, similar to Charon in Greek Mythology.
The River to the All Spark
It is a metaphysical space, not having a true physical realm in the real world. Here sparks of deceased Cybertronians travel through an Energon river, returning back to Primus' core.
The after life of Cybertron is meant to be one full of peace. Sparks can reunite with those who passed before, and former grudges and rivalry are forgotten in favor of quietness.
No one alive truly has seen this place before. It is said that if you see the river, you are marked for death by Primus.
However there are also scriptures saying that seeing the river, and being unable to cross, means that your spark will never be at peace. Primus has marked you unworthy of joining him, and you must atone for the sins you have committed against him.

The Rescue Bot Massacre
The Rescue Bots and Rescue Bots Academy were a true neutral in the war. They would help either side after a battle, offering aid and energon to the soldiers. After one battle however, the Protectobots had descended on a battle field after the battle was over. They went about leading their other teams to help the different sides. Blades had found Soundwave, who was trying to keep Buzzsaw alive after a devastating blow. Blades immediately helped Soundwave and Buzzsaw, but as he was fixing them up, Megatron approached the group.
"What is the meaning of this? Why are you helping the Autobots."
Blades was obviously taken aback by this, but kept his eyes on the repairs.
"We're Rescue Bots. We help anyone and everyone, no matter the fraction."
Megatron's face after that was unreadable, even Soundwave was confused. Megatron had stormed off after that, and neither bot acknowledged it further.
In the cycles following that interaction, Megatron had issued a statement to all Decepticons that they were to not trust the Rescue Bots. Due to their neutrality during the war, they were inherently traitors of the cause and must be destroyed.
Fearing for their city and students' safety, the Protectobots (Alpha team 1 and 2) made the call to join the Autobot forces as Protectobots, not Rescue Bots. They also reached out to their allies in Vos, who at that time were also a neutral force to the war. Together, between the Protectobots, Vos, and their new allies of the early Autobots, they were able to keep Decepticon forces at bay from destroying Rescue City. Even when Vos eventually fell to the Decepticons, the Wreckers were able to fill their place.
However, when Alpha team 1, the original Protectobots, fell at Tagan Heights, that security over Rescue City fell as well. Megatron did not attack right as they fell. It took several Vorns in fact before the Decepticons attacked the city. Alpha team 2, which consisted of Skyfeather, Heatrock, Rook, and Medix, had to take over governing the city and protecting it in the wake of their Parensnatales' death.
When the Decepticon forces finally attacked the city, Skyfeather was their first contact. All of the students had been evacuated into underground bunkers. The Alpha teams were the only ones on the surface level, ready to defend their homes.
"Surrender the Rescue Bot forces to the Decepticons, or prepare to be taken by force."
Megatron stood in front of Skyfeather, as she stood between him and the academy.
"My Adsero built this academy from the grounds up with his gestalt. I will not allow you to take that away from him. You'd have to kill me first."
Skyfeather's death marked the start of the Rescue Bot Massacre. The rest of the Alpha teams followed, before the lower bunkers were breached. Anyone who refused to join was slaughtered.
By the dawn of the next day, the remaining Autobot forces on Cybertron finally arrived, communication having been cut during the start of the Massacre. The Wreckers were the first there, being greeted by the blood shed. Any Rescue Team that were not present in the city were hunted in the following cycles. In all, anywhere from 472-714 Rescue Bots and Rescue Bot recruits were slaughtered in this attack.
The only ones left, were a small Sigma ship, floating in stasis in deep space.

Say hello to Combiners Commander Elita One!
Tumblr media
Elita One is Optimus's most trusted Combiner Commander. She is in charge of that division of the Autobots, leading the Shield of Solus, Aerialbots, Torchbearers, and Protectobots.
She stands at over 50 feet tall, one of the tallest Autobots. Her greatsword that she wields has a blade longer than Optimus Prime himself. She is a seeker, giving her the ability to fly in her root mode. This gives her a great tactical advantage, making her a fearsome warrior.
Before the war she served on the Iacon Council's senate. Her job there mainly consisted of rulings on the Council's punishment system. She tried to turn down as many punishments as possible, having a more caring spark for the bots brought before her, but she was only one bot in a room of others who constantly went on power trips.
After Megatron's speech to the Council, she joined the Autobot side of the war, led by Sentinel Prime. There she connected with Orion Pax, who now went by just Optimus, and Ratchet. The three formed a close bond, eventually becoming conjuxed before the war fully broke out.
When Sentinel fell and Optimus Prime took over, he placed her in charge of the Combiners squadron due to her being Orthia's torso. Orthia due to this also led the combiners when they were all in their combined form.
Her death was caused by one of Orthia's limbs dying in the heat of battle. This was the first combiner death of the war, leading each side to realize that combiner sparks will snuff out together due to the bond. This death also sent Optimus Prime off the rails for a while, as he processed the death of his beloved starling.

Designs for the sequel I am already planning
The Rescue Recruits!!
Tumblr media
And some of my lore that will be explored with for all of them!
Wedge
Wedge was formed during the war. He was created through spark bonding between two Decepticons, though he never really met his Parensnatales (parents) due to their assignment within the ranks. Due to his young age, he was put into the energon mines on one of the Deception owned planets on the outskirts of the Milky Way. While he had to fight Autobots sometimes, this planet was relatively uninhabited by Autobots, meaning that many Decepticon children made their home here.
When the war ended, and they returned to Cybertron, Wedge found out that he was orphaned just like many of his miner buddies. While Cybertron was being rebuilt, several mechs had stepped up to take care of and watch over the young Cybertronians left behind. One of these groups was the newly reemerged Protectobots, who were missing one key bot in their lineup. Wedge was one of the young Cybertronians taken in by the team, where he soon learned about rescue work and started to ask for training in it. While Rescue City was being repaired, the Protectobots and several of the old Alpha team members who had returned to the city started to teach small things to the young Cybertronians who were under their care. While some dropped off from the lessons, the others stuck around to become the new rebirth generation of Rescue Bots, which Wedge was one of those.
Tumblr media
Whirl
Whirl was also formed during the war, formed from a spark bond due to Ultra Magnus and Whirl Sr. not being careful with their conjunx bonding ceremony. While her designation was Whirlybird, she chose to use just Whirl to mess with mechs on the Lost Light. One day a large energy spike was detected across the Milky Way. While Ultra Magnus went off to investigate the strange anomaly, the Lost Light continued to avoid the attacks of the DJD.
Once the ship was able to reach Cybertron and the whole family was reunited, Whirl Jr. was stumped on what she was wanting to do. Whirl Sr. one day had suggested joining the newly rebuilt Rescue Bots Academy. Due to Ultra Magnus's knowledge of the old laws and regulations of Cybertron, he would teach Whirl Jr. them during his free time. Due to this, she had an immense love for the subject. So when she found out that the academy had enforcers as an option, she jumped at the chance to join. Leading her to join the first wave of new official Rescue Bot Recruits.
Tumblr media
Hot Shot and Jolt
Hot Shot was one of the mechs who reemerged from the Well. Jolt's spark connection with him is what allowed him to return. Jolt is his minicon partner, and one of his oldest friends. Hot Shot was one of the many young mechs who had to fight in the war. While he had a naturally forged frame, his spark was transferred to an adult build, offering more protection than his young, weak armor plating he had before. The pair fought side by side during the war as first Optimus's personal scouts, then as a commander of a squadron. Jolt helped to keep to Hot Shot in check, offering guidance to the young soldier. When Hot Shot had become a commander, his role also shifted to being a mentor for a young scout that Optimus had appointed. Hot Shot taught the young scout everything he needed to know, and the pair formed a close friendship. When the young scout had been kidnapped by Megatron while Hot Shot had been shot down, Primus had changed Hot Shot's frame. This new frame while lacking speed, made up for it in strength, allowing the young commander to rescue the young scout at Tyger Pax. After the events at Tyger Pax, the Ark was ready to launch. Hot Shot was meant to be one of the mechs that went on the ship. However as it was launching, the Nemesis had attacked. Hot Shot was one of the fatalities during this attack.
Upon his reemergence from the Well, he was met by the mechs who were looking over the many new sparks and reemerging sparks. After many questions, he was finally reunited with Jolt. After that Hot Shot and Jolt had aimlessly wandered around Cybertron. Hot Shot was one of the mechs who had no Parensnatales, and so he really had no place to go. After some years, the pair heard about a new Cube league forming. Cube was originally a game created during the war by Ratchet for the many young mechs who were forced into the war to have something fun to do. (Also was created to distract them from the Wrecker's game of Lob) Hot Shot remembering the many games he played, joined the league and was soon given a home among the teams. Over time, he had risen to fame, being one of the best players within the league. After a big final game of the season, Optimus had approached him. Shocked to see the meant to be dead leader, Hot Shot didn't believe at first that the mech was really in front of him. However after some time talking, Hot Shot learned that he had been alive for awhile at that point, and had just returned from a mission back to Earth. It was at this point that Optimus had offered him and Jolt a chance to go to the newly reopened Rescue Bots Academy.
Tumblr media
Medix
Medix also reemerged from the Well, being one of the mechs that was killed during the Rescue Bots Massacre. Medix is the child of First Aid and Vortex, having been formed by a spark bond during the start of the war. He too was put into an adult frame like Hot Shot was, and when the Protectobots joined the war, he was also brought into it with his cousins. He worked as a tirage medic on the field, being a true pacifist just like his aunt Groove. His team within the Rescue Bots rank was Alpha 2, which consisted of his cousins Skyfeather, Rook, and Heatrock. Skyfeather was their team leader, due to her being the oldest and most experienced out of them. The Alpha 2 team was able to combine with the Alpha 1 team (Protectobots), making the two teams very powerful in terms of the war. Skyfeather and Heatrock were able to combine within the actual Protectobot team, forming Gaia Guardian, while Rook and Medix were able to replace an original team member when they were unable to transform. When Defensor fell at Tagan Heights, Rescue City was left with Alpha 2 leading and protecting it. This is when Megatron decided to strike. Medix watched as his older cousins were slaughtered, before his death and the destruction of Rescue City.
Upon his reemergence, he was reunited with his cousins who also reemerged with him. Together the group made their way to the remains of Rescue City, where they were reunited with Hotspot, First Aid, Streetwise, and Groove. Blade's absence confused them all, but they all were quick to start rebuilding the city. Blades soon reappeared on Cybertron, having survived the war and was the reason that they were all able to reemerge due to his Gestalt bond with his siblings. When the school was rebuilt and reopened, Medix joined the new wave of students coming into the academy, excited to finish his training properly.
Tumblr media
Hoist
Hoist, while not apart of the war, was a civilian casualty. His Almatonias (moms) had him before the war broke out. His family had decided to stay out of the war as long as they possibly could, but his death due to an Autobot Wrecker's explosions is what pushed his Almatonias to join the Decepticons.
His Almatonias survived the war, allowing for his reemergence. He was reunited with them, and after Cybertron had been mostly rebuilt, they were encouraging him to choose what he wanted to do in life. Now that the caste system was overthrown, he was allowed to do just that. Hearing about the reopening of the Rescue Bots Academy, and that engineering, one of his passions, was offered at the academy, he applied to be a student there. He was accepted and joined the first wave of new students.
Tumblr media
And that is the lore of these guys for the Cyberhumans and Cybertronians sequel! While this story isn't going to be mentioned much until that point in time, I wanted to get these out there as some of the characters will be mentioned within the main story of Cyberaligned. Due to how interwoven I want everything to be, we will be seeing glimpses of Hot Shot and Medix within Blade's memories, as well as meeting Whirl Jr. and Whirl Sr. in one of the future chapters when the Lost Light crashes on Earth.
I hope y'all are excited for this future plot!

Bringing in the first bit of angst lore.
Shadow Play
What is Shadow Play?
Shadow Play is apart of the Iacon Council’s Three Steps to Obedience. A process that insures that a Cybertronian lives up to the council’s expectations. Few mechs have had to go through all three steps, but many who are found guilty of disobedience go through the first two steps, Shadow Play and Empurata.
The process involves the head of the mech being disconnected from the body, to remove any processing it has with the pain neuro-net. This ensures that the victim will remain online and fully aware of their personality being stripped from them, and manipulated into whatever the Iacon Council wants.
After the head is removed, the helm plating is popped open, allowing for cables to be attached and overriding the personality of the mech. In most cases, the council is trying to take away any hostile personality, in fear of the mech turning on them.
The council isn't afraid to use it on their own bots and soldiers as well. Senator Shockwave went through both Shadow Play and Empurata while he was still in office. Likely wise, the Council grew fearful of a soldier in their ranks, Blades from the Protectobots. His fighting was violent, and past recounts of his disapproval of the council made them fear that he would turn on them. So they ensured that they got the first strike.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He was set to Empurataed as well after his gestalt called on neurosurgeons to try and reverse the effects of the Shadow Play. But the week before he was to be taken into custody, the Iacon Council and Sentinel Prime fell to the Decepticon forces, permanently ending the Three Steps to Obedience.

Some details explanations
Cody’s jacket is the same one his mother use to own. This is the one of the few possessions of hers that he has inherited.
Charlie’s jacket was inspired by many different cyberpunk police chief outfits I saw, kind of showing how he is still on the job. The jacket itself is an armor clothing, meaning that sewn into the material is protective metal.
Dani has her jacket from her time with the Navy Fighter Weapons School. She was given the call name of “Phoenix” which is added into her jacket’s patches. Her prosthetic legs have stickers covering them, some of which are making light of the fact she lost both of her legs.
Graham’s glasses have the ability to work as a screen. Different kinds of schematics and data are able to be displaced through the glasses, helping him with his job.
Kade’s jacket is his old firefighter jacket, which was discontinued after his accident. Miko took it, switched out the sleeves, and added some patches to it for him.
And all of the Burns have biometal dog tags, giving them the ability to read and create EM fields just like their bot partners.

How are the bots going to react to human lifespans? And what happens when the human companions live past that expected age of death?
There are plans for this exact scenario!
Wheeljack is going to show up at some point in the fic. He plays a major role in a character's development, and also I have a friend who loves Wheeljack so I gotta add him in.
Wheeljack kind of lets it slip that humans don't live very long. This leads to some chaos as the humans try to calm their bot companions. Especially Chase, seeing as how Charlie is past the age of 50 and reasonably has 30-40 years left if lucky.
Eventually they are able to cope and grieve, allowing themselves to enjoy the time they do get with their human partners. Because of this, they don't really look at the days they have left anymore. Leading them to realize years later, "Oh shit, none of the humans have aged. What is happening." And that leads to the discovery of the artifact's power.
The bots are ecstatic though as this means they get to keep their humans around for longer.

The Protectobots
The Protectobots founded the Rescue Academy and Rescue City. The gestalt all had a base coding for rescue work, with sub coding for positions such as fire rescue, medical, scouting, and enforcement.
Hotspot is their leader, and the oldest. He leads his teams by word and deed. He is a very enthusiastic and energetic leader, sometimes tiring out his siblings. His leadership keeps his team out of harm's way, ensuring that their time in battle or rescues are swift and without complications. His fighting style is considered to be brash, being more of a hand to hand combat guy. However he does have the ability to mix acid with his water-lines, and he owns twin fireball rifles. When him and his siblings combine, he forms the torso and head of Defensor.
Blades is the youngest, but the most experienced fighter of the group. He is fiercely protective of his gestalt, which sometimes scares his fellow Autobots whenever he is pissed. Many mistake his protective nature for being arrogant and unhinged. He supplies air support for his siblings, while also being able to take over some medical rescues in the case that First Aid is busy. His fighting style is very gruesome, whether using his own rotor blades are swords, or using his twin energon pistols, he is a force to be feared by both sides. Several Decepticons who had the misfortune of fighting him have nicknamed him the "Angel of Death." He forms the right hand of Defensor.
First Aid is the resident medic of the team. She is a very timid mech on a normal day, but in the middle of a fight or rescue she can be the most level headed mech there. She is very empathetic, considerate, and kind. Her compassion knows no ends and she will work relentlessly to fix anyone and anything, from broken down tech to Decepticons. She served as an apprentice to Ratchet, having grown close to the old medic to consider him a honorary brother. Her beliefs are rooted more in pacifism, but if anything or anyone threatens her gestalt or the academy, she will not hesitate to stand up and defend those she loves. She has a forcefield just like the gestalt, but hers is able to extend further and take more hits. She forms the left arm of Defensor.
Groove is the scout of the team. She is a free spirited bot, and times before the war she was known to go off on adventures by herself for days on end. She loved her gestalt, but sometimes the long drives are needed for her sanity. She is a true pacifist at spark, she hates the violence of war but has no way to avoid it. The threat the Decepticons have on the academy puts her into a moral struggle, where she wants to protect but without violence. Her weapons are considered to be more pacifist, temporarily stunning the enemy instead of killing. She forms the right leg of Defensor.
Streetwise is the interceptor of the team. He follows his logic, but is led by his spark. He is the smartest mech in the gestalt, and is able to track down any mech, using his processor and speed to outsmart anyone. His weapon arsenal is a combination of long range and short range weapons. He owns twin tonfas, alongside his favorite smoke grenades and explosives. He is often underestimated by the enemy, only to flip that mechs world upside down when he ends the fight. He forms the left leg of Defensor.

Plus their holoforms
Tumblr media
The team originally wanted to keep Rescue City as a true neutral in the war, with their teams and recruits helping Autobots and Decepticons alike. But after Megatron deemed them an enemy due to them helping the Autobots, the Protectobots joined the war on the Autobot side. They kept the academy neutral, while becoming the city's sole protector.
Their fall during their battle with Devastator at Tagan Heights left Rescue City without protection. In the Vorns following the fall Megatron called for the destruction of the city and its inhabitants, leading to the Rescue Bot Massacre.
Unknown to them at the time however, a Sigma ship was in deep space, its crew in stasis.

Introducing our newest bot to the Rescue Team,
Hound!
Tumblr media
Hound is going to be Cody’s future bot partner. He is a pickup truck when they meet, which he keeps that form once they start working together. This is the reason why he does not have a windowed den like the other Rescue Bots.
Hound is actually an ex Rescue Bot when meets the Burns. He was apart of the Rescue Force on Cybertron before the war, but left to join the Autobot side once the war broke out. He specializes in search and rescue, with his advanced tracking system aiding him in this area. This makes him a perfect partner for Cody, who is a Game Warden for the state of Maine. One part of their job is going and searching for missing people out in the woods. The pair are able to work together on the Mainland, where Hound continues to work as a robot in disguise.

Starting to finalize the designs for some landscapes within Cyberaligned.
Tarn
So far we have Tarn, one of the south Cybertron cities
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This city has a lower sector and higher sector. The high sector is above the plating of Cybertron, and houses the elite of the city. The lower sector is where the lowest class live, near the smelting and refining warehouses. The only light in the lower sector is what comes through during the day, which is a limited amount of time due to Cybertron’s rotation. Out of the 66 hours a day, only 29 hours have sunlight. Lower class are forced to work laboring hours in the dark, lights only coming from the natural cyan glow of the planet, or their own bio lights.
River to the All Spark
This isn’t a physically real place on Cybertron, but more of a meta physical state in the mind of a dying Cybertronian.
Tumblr media
This is where they will meet the 13th, who accompanies the spark along their journey. The 13th’s place on Cybertron has been this guiding soul, someone who brings comfort to the scared spark. The 13th works with the Guiding Hand, Mortilus. She is the who separates the spark from it’s physical form, allowing it to enter this realm.

will the cybertron the kids come to be Like in rid2015 or diffrent ? Also will they be able to breath there?
This became a loaded lore post. Enjoy the read!
What is Post War Cybertron like?
This Cybertron is completely different to RID2015 Cybertron. Bumblebee is in a place of commanding power, but it is actually Ultra Magnus who has been doing majority of the rebuilding commanding. His position as the SIC to Autobots is what left him in this position after he recovered from his injuries in Predacons Rising. Bumblebee is there to be a younger voice of reason, but he only ever knew war Cybertron, which is why he isn't leading the rebuilding.
As more Cybertronians return, there are small conflicts between ex-Autobots and ex-Decepticons. Quickly to maintain peace, laws are unanimously passed to make sure any kind of discrimination is not present. Now that rebuilding is happening, any kind of set backs are avoided to make sure that the now delicate population of Cybertron has a chance to regrow.
Multiple bots are needed in order to
Reconstruct buildings
Take care of the newly emerging Newsparks
Welcome back returning Cybertronian ships
Document the war for historical records
With all of these factors, I wanted to create a realistic peace time. This war had been going on for over 20 million years in Cyberaligned, bots are TIRED of the fighting.
Peace, while it may be difficult especially with personal grievances, is the number 1 priority of the remaining Cybertronians. After awhile, even Starscream comes around to the idea of peace, as he takes his throne in Vos. After Megatron's self exile, he even returns to Cybertron. He works side by side with Ultra Magnus to ensure that both side's of the war are equally heard.
With all of these policies in place, and the mutual want for peace, Cybertron is able to rebuild relatively quickly, especially when bots start reemerging from the Well. Bots who had a spark bond with another living bot were given a second chance by Primus. These returning bots had all of their memories intact, allowing them to easily adapt to being around their fellow Cybertronians again.
Even with Optimus Prime's return from the well, which marked the end of the reemerging bots, peace was able to be maintained. His position in this peace time Cybertron is not one of leadership, but a chance for him to relax. He works in the historical data base, documenting the war and organizing the constant stream of data coming from Cybertronians around Cybertron. His work is tied between Iacon and Kaon, with Kaon being reestablished as the capital of Cybertron once more.
A war monument is established near the Well of All Sparks, containing the names of every Cybertronian that had died in the war. There are segments for each fraction, Autobots and Decepticons, a segment for the civilian causalities, and a segment dedicated to the victims of the Rescue Bot Massacre. A museum is also near the memorial, containing the data that Optimus had gathered and organized, allowing any Cybertronian access to the personal accounts of the war.
When the humans and Sigma 17 finally reestablish contact with Cybertron, the Cybertron they visit has been mostly rebuilt. Peace is maintained, and the population is on it's way to returning to a fully functioning society.
Now, how do the humans breathe on Cybertron?
There are two options I have created for this.
The humans can stay in their bot's dens, where there is oxygen. The bot's cabins have filters that filter in the atmosphere's oxygen while expelling the CO2. All Rescue Bots and Wreckers contain these "dens," so Heatwave, Chase, Blades, Boulder, Hound, and Hightide have these dens installed. Quickshadow, Blurr, and Salvage do not have these upgrades due to the limited resources they have on Earth.
The next option, is the humans being outside of the bots. Team Prime is mainly the ones who are going to be on their bot's shoulders, as Bumblebee and Arcee do not have dens, and Bulkhead's doesn't have windows. So how are they able to survive outside of spacesuits and their bots?
Artificial Cybernetic lungs
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Why did I choose this route? Due to Earth's declining air quality, and Team Prime's many visits to the mainland, their lungs were on a decline. The had to be replaced as the artifact that put their body into stasis didn't know what to do with lungs, so they remained normal. This allowed the air pollution to effect Team Prime, leading to the development of these cybernetic lungs. These lungs function with filters similar to the ones in the Rescue Bot's dens, allowing them to only take in the oxygen of the surrounding atmosphere.
However, would there logically be oxygen on Cybertron? I say yes. and this is why.
Oxygen on Cybertron
Cybertron's atmosphere appears to be relatively close to Earth's atmosphere. How I came to the conclusion was through the presence of fire on Cybertron.
Tumblr media
Photo taken from the FOC trailer
Now fire doesn't need oxygen to begin. An explosion of fire can happen without it being present. However, as seen in the next photos, these are continuously burning fires. Oxygen is needed for that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Photo taken from The FOC trailer
Nitrogen and Oxygen are the two most commonly found elements in fire. Due to the fire seen in the photos, they appear to be these common fires we see on Earth. Earth's atmosphere is made up of 78.08% Nitrogen and 20.95% Oxygen, as well as <1% Argon. By the logic of this fire continuously burning, Cybertron's atmosphere has to be similar to this.Due to this, I am allowing the cybernetic lungs to function, as well as the fact that they do not need the spacesuits for pressure regulation.
However, the reason the Burn's do not leave the dens of the Rescue Bots is due to the fact that Cybertron's atmosphere isn't a perfect replica of Earth's. There are unknown elements making up the rest of Cybertron's atmosphere. Their effects on the human lungs are unknown, so precautions are taken.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hopefully this answers both of your questions! I did not realize how long this actually became until I got to the breathing section, but hopefully you enjoy!
The next characters to have their designs done are
Priscilla Pynch and Frankie Greene!
Tumblr media
Yes, nothing about Priscilla’s design is practical for a dystopian world with a group thats leading a revolution, however, it was fun. I am having her as a fashion designer, because I feel like it suits her better than trying to take over her moms failed business.
Frankie I have working in the Griffin Rock lab, she also has her PhD and she is constantly working with Raf and Ezra to work on the new battle mecha suits that Jack and Miko are going to use. At some point, during a lab accident, her right arm needs to be amputated. Which means she gets to have full fun with a bionic arm. She designed and created her own prosthetic, which is fully connected to her nervous system, allowing her complete control of what the hand and arm does. Her adjustment to this change is pretty easy due to this fact.
While they are mostly background characters within the story, I still want them to play a vital role within the overarching story. I don't know at this point in time if they will live on Cybertron once the revolution is done and over with, but whatever choice will definitely be emotional for everyone.
I guess that the Cybertronian artifact not only expanded their human lives but also their storage brain capacity. What do I mean? Not to be mean or say that your Cyber-continuity doesn't have sense. Like, NO, IS AWSOME AND I CAN'T WAIT TO READ MORE. I'm just a dumb person who likes to search for things that catch my attention and made me want to ramble... sorry.
But if you wanna take this into consideration when the thing with the relic happens and you want to explain something, I'll leave you with this. No need to listen actually.
The complexity of longevity with humans lies in the inability of organists to withstand the burdens of operating for more than a couple hundred two hundred years, basically, joints would eventually begin to break down under their own weight and stress, that's why we turn into dust when we die, but of course, lest remember that this is a Cyberpunk dystopia so fortunately, robotic organs will be the next fashion heat!!
But is it possible to replace all the various parts of a body?
Unfortunately no, there are limits, and those limits lay in our brains!! A human being is capable of storing around 100 terabytes of memory, or, what are the same, 100,000 gigabytes of memory, experiences, knowledge, etc. All of them are embedded in our heads thanks to the aforementioned neurons. It may seem like a huge number but eventually, likely in 300 years, a human brain would be full of memories, information, and all kind of stuff, making a person unable to put two words together, feel disoriented, as if you had a "brain fog." Having trouble finding things that could be in front of you. Feeling very confused, taking longer to process new information, or having trouble understanding things. Difficulty making decisions or analyzing things... etc. Let us also not forget about diseases that deteriorate the brain, neurodegenerative diseases, that make this process painfully faster.
Is an incredible concept for horror. But like I said, this is just me doing research on a topic that I just got focused on because I need to stress myself.
hi
I am glad you asked this, cause I did not realize this about the human brain!
Old lore is in italics and is not 100% anymore
For the body
How they stay the same age looks wise is because their bodies are essentially put into a stasis-like state. So their joints don't wear down, their organs don't fail, and and things like cancer don't really grow. The only things that do seem to change is their blood cells and keratin in their body, so their hair and nails still grow. This is all based around Cybertronian anatomy.
The artifact was created by Cybertronians, who when creating it used Cybertronian anatomy as a basis. Now, human and Cybertronian anatomy are different, but hold many similarities. The relic had targeted the organs and parts of the human body that were shared in similarity with Cybertronians.
Things such as brains, circulatory system, eyes, muscles, bones, skin, and digestive system are all examples of similarities between the two species. The relic effected these organs, making them similar to how Cybertronian organs are. This means that the blood will still regenerate, they still have to eat, and they will still mentally age. However, things that are not comparable to Cybertronian anatomy were effected differently.
The relic had no clue how to handle things like hair, nails, lungs, reproductive systems, and other organs such as spleens and kidneys. There was no translation of these organs to Cybertronian organs, so the relic just didn't do much with them. Inner organs were put into stasis, still functioning but they were only effected due to being in proximity to other comparable organs. Hair and nails just weren't really messed with by the relic.
However that can have some big drawbacks. Their skin does not grow back to form scabs and scars, which can lead to wounds continuing to bleed. Their blood is able to clot cause in blood there are red blood cells and white blood cells. The white blood cells have something known as a platelet, which creates the blood clots. Since their bodies are no longer able to regenerate their skin, skin grafting surgery is required for large wounds.
Obviously, with several of the characters, this is not an option they are able to take. Miko for example got an acid poured on her face during a recon mission, and skin grafting would not have fixed this. That is why she has a metal plating around her head. Jack's chest also has metal plating after getting an injury across his chest. Most of the small scars you see on our human characters either came before the beam blasted them, or were the result of donor skin grafting. Kade's burn scar for instance is one of the injuries that is received before the beam hits the group.
Now for the brain issue
In Cyberpunk Edgerunners, which is one of my many inspirations, we are introduced to these ports in the skin.
Tumblr media
These ports as seen in EP 2 "Like a Boy", David and Lucy are seen stealing a technology known as Datashards from Corpo people. These Datashards can contain anything from money, information, photos, videos, schematics, etc.
It's basically a glorified SD card.
We are also introduced to Deep Dive Tech. This kind of technology is connected to the occipital lobe to allow for high amounts of data transfer between minds or mind and technology. This is highly dangerous and requires trained professionals to operate.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So what does this mean for my continuity?
Both of these heavily inspired what I plan to do for the brain situation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These brain ports are connected to the occipital lobe just the Deep Dive Tech. Memories are able to be copied, downloaded, transferred, and even deleted. This allows for the operator, Raf majority of the time, to be able to extract the memories not needed for everyday life from the rest of Team Prime and the Rescue Team. Miko even asked for him to delete the memory she had of getting half of her face melted off, which is perfectly understandable in that situation.
The memories that are extracted are able to be returned to the person as well. Kade for instance had his memories of Hailey copied and extracted, put onto a hard drive specifically for those exact memories. Hailey was not one of the people hit by the beam, leading to Kade losing her by her dying of old age. He had his memories of her extracted so that he wasn't constantly reminded that she was gone, but he could also redownload those memories when he needed to.
So that's my idea for fixing the memory capacity issue! Yes it's very sci fi bullshit, but that's the fun part of cyberpunk universes.
Note
how come Nine of team prime came to visit or Bring the rescue bots back or came back for the remaining iacon relics ?
Ok so there are some steps to take in answering this question, which I haven't fully gotten to in lore yet due to the current setting, but I can explain here.
Why has the Prime Team never returned?
1. Time
Time for Cybertronians is a lot different to Earth's time. The hours of the day on Cybertronian are around 66.6 hours on Earth, and a year for them is almost 4 years on Earth. So while the bots are rebuilding, they are still in the mindset of Earth hours. To them, it hasn't been that long since they were gone, barely over a year for them at the current point of time in the story.
Once they do realize so much time has passed in terms of their human companions, that's when they attempt to reach Earth. But there's an error message on all Space Bridges leading to Earth.
2. Space Bridges
As hinted in the most recent chapter, the Prime Team on Earth does NOT trust General Bryce. As official liaisons to Cybertronians, Jack, Miko, and Raf have to meet regularly with Bryce, especially after their move to Griffin Rock.
Speaking of that move to Griffin Rock, Jack especially is sketched out about it. It was an official order from Bryce to move there, which had put him on edge. Originally the trio were living and working at Unit E, with Danny and Quantum making the fly over for Robot Regicide. But with them moving, it would leave the space bridge there unattended. So they salvaged parts from it to make a ground bridge, had those installed in the basement of their new home on Griffin Rock, and destroyed the old space bridge to keep it out of Bryce's hands. Any other Cybertronian tech in that unit was also moved to their new home with the help of Quantum who went incognito (changed her paint job to match the military's) and moved the parts for them under the government's nose.
The only space bridge that existed now was the one in space that the Decepticons created. It was on the far side of the moon, so Jack and the others were not too worried about the Government trying to get there without the public's knowledge.
With the one in Unit E being destroyed however, that meant that Cybertron had a difficult time trying to reach it.
Eventually the one in space also had to be destroyed, due to General Bryce's desperation to get to it. This was an unanimous decision between human Team Prime and the Rescue Bots to destroy this final means of getting home. All other Cybertronians who were living on Earth were evacuated so that they did get home. This space bridge being destroyed also meant that Cybertron could not reach it.
3. Cybertron's rebuilding
Cybertron was still being rebuilt. The bots unfortunately cannot take the time off to try and figure out a way to Earth. With the rebuilding, bots returning, and new sparks emerging from the well, Team Prime cannot afford the trip back to Earth.
The population of Cybertron pre war was only in the millions, and after the war there were only a handful of thousands that survived. Rebuilding Cybertron is an all hands-on deck situation, no one can really afford leaving as it is rebuilding. Once it became stable on Cybertron, with the majority of bots who survived the war having returned, over two hundred human years had passed. Team Prime assumed that they were too late to be able to reunite with their human friends, especially considering the life spans of humans to Cybertronians. So instead they mourned, and moved to continue the rebuilding.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And those are some lore details for why Team Prime never returned. I have some ideas for life on Cybertron after the war, if y'all are interested in me making a oneshot books for those, definitely tell me!
