actually you probably could make a list of rap with no misogyny but it would probably be obscure garbage. or songs by artists with misogynistic lyrics in other songs. also in that spotify list of the top 50 most streamed rap artists there are only THREE women: nicki minaj (top 10), cardi b (top 20), and megan thee stallion (number 46, two spots above the man that shot her and lied about it). why be in denial. especially when so many female vets of hip hop are either underacknowledged or resigned to the historical dustbin......................

Hijacked Peeta isn't the Real Peeta

It took me a time to get it, and surely it would be easier if Katniss had said it directly: to Katniss Hijacked Peeta and old Peeta isn't the same person.

I used to be upset with Katniss for being so rough (and even cruel) with Peeta after his rescue. I didn't understand how she couldn't see him as a sick person that need to be treated kindly and patiently. Why can't she behavior as our lord and savior Finnick?

But one thing I completely forgot was Peeta hijacking completely devastated her. Guys, how could we consider her cold and cruel when all she wanted to do after seeing Peeta in such painful situation is to die. Katniss hits on suicide increased tremendously after the rescue.

They didn't kill Peeta physically, they killed the person he used to be, that kind boy she loved so much, the image of him being torn apart right before her eyes. The only person who knew her better than her family and saw the best in her was no more.

Then, there is nothing she can do but be her worst. One thing everyone forgets about this part (including me), is that her hostility only appears when provoked by his hostility. She was acting just like she did on book 1, picking on him to push him away and trying protecting herself from more hurt.

Although she didn't hate Peeta for real, she did hate his "new" behavior. Looking at him probably was like seeing a evil version of him. Katniss didn't see him as himself. It was like someone else possessed the body of the man she loves, and she hated it.

WHERE #god okay because look. i think her thing about age gaps is hilarious. i think agnieszka and sarkan is compelling #but agnieszka and kasia is soooooo much more interesting to me. loving someone you hate (but you love more) #and being envious of someone whose life you fear (but you want more) #how do you see the truth of yourself reflected in someone else’s eyes and bear the fact that you are petty and cruel in a thousand ways #how do you go about loving them with wild abandon afterwards. how do you let yourself be loved by them #and I think like. changing the story a little is a way to go about that #and the first part of it is so obvious—kasia gets taken. she is brave and tragic and kind and then marek rapes her and suddenly she’s angry #i think *that’s* a Kasia who would start taking advantage of the library and the laboratory #and I think when Agnieszka came when sarkan was off handling the chimera (because it would be her. it would always be her) #Kasia would grab some potions and come to dvernik to save everyone. and with agnieszka it would work #and THEN you get sarkan getting injured and agnieszka using his spell to get them *all* back to the tower and that’s where the fun begins #but like. god. why hasn’t someone else written it #uprooted

as much as i appreciate all depictions of trans masc people in art, this isnt some kind of put down like omg you gotta draw ALL your art like this but... its honestly quite nice to see some trans masc characters that  have breasts  and are completely fine with that. like i get that top surgery scars have just become the visual short hand for ‘trans man/,masc’ character but thats not the reality for every trans masc person, not all trans masc people experience top dysphoria all the time, or even at all, and i feel like if we normalized the idea of breast tissue on men it would help to lessen the social stigma of men with breasts, cis or trans. i just love to see trans masc characcters who still have their breasts because its a reflection of the sort of trans experiences and bodies i am familiar with
