Ooooh. You always pick great questions.

1 - Favourite Episode of the Entire Series? oh man. Oh man. If I have to pick just one...2x11. The aftermath of Kim’s shooting, her relationship with Adam being super public, the first Burzek “I love you”, Trudy being a concerned parent. It’s just such a beautifully made episode. Very close second is 8x09. That therapy scene at the start? Adam and Kev and Voight at the end? The very real discussion of police brutality and the shit Kev has to put up with because of who he is and what he does? I love that episode and it’s just gorgeous. If you asked me this question tomorrow I’d probably swap them around, tbh.

5 - The moment that made you fall in love with the show? If I had to pick just one? The scene on the bus with Erin trying to take down the guy kidnapping Antonio’s son in like 1x02. It gave us such a great showing into how this team worked and how Antonio as a character worked, especially considering we’d seen him in Fire plenty of times before. I just adore that scene.

6 - Who would you want to be your partner? Kevin Atwater. I didn’t even have to THINK about that. He’s a good cop, a good man, and I’d always know I could trust him. What else could you want, really?

30 - Which character do you think you could be really good friends with? I mean, in my dreams Trudy and I are besties and we regularly exchange barbed comments which make us know we’re loved. But apart from her, I think Jay and I would get on well. I’d introduce him to hurling and proper Guinness, and he could show me what the actual fuck hockey is. It’d be a nice friendship.

Have definitely read all your CPD words several times over. Based on that - and your love of Taylor - I am jumping both feet in and starting The Rookie from episode 1. Mainly so I can read the rest of your words.

THIS IS THE BEST NEWS! I don't want to brag, but I've helped convince several friends to watch The Rookie lately and I think they'd agree it was time well spent! Tim Bradford is a dream of a character and if you're a Jay fan, you'll LOVE Tim. And if you love strong, badass, funny women, The Rookie has got MULTIPLE options for you. It's my lighthearted cop show, always makes me laugh, and has a a couple great ships!

Please come yell at me when you've watched some! I hope you love it too. (Free advice -- don't watch 1x18 until you can also watch 2x01 at the same time, and the same with 2x10 and 2x11.)

your mom watched cpd? that's so cool that you watch together! also 2x11 is my favorite episode (wonder why that is hmm)

Yup! My mom is really into crime tv shows. We used to love watching CSI: Miami together, and later Castle. We both dig the whole procedural that gives us more of personal storylines and where the unit/team is sort of like a family.

She loves CPD. Her favorite used to be Ruzek, but it’s Jay now (I SWEAR I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT).

Hmmm, wonder why. Can’t say. Must be the pantsuit... *crickets sing* on the floor of Jay’s apartment *wink wink*
