Film is a work of art in the form of a series of live images that are rotated to produce an illusion of moving images that are presented as a form of entertainment. The illusion of a series of images produces continuous motion in the form of video. The film is often referred to as a movie or moving picture. Film is a modern and popular art form created for business and entertainment purposes. Film making has now become a popular industry throughout the world, where feature films are always awaited by cinemas. Films are made in two main ways. The first is through shooting and recording techniques through film cameras. This method is done by photographing images or objects. The second uses traditional animation techniques. This method is done through computer graphic animation or CGI techniques. Both can also be combined with other techniques and visual effects. Filming usually takes a relatively long time. It also requires a job desk each, starting from the director, producer, editor, wardrobe, visual effects and others. Definition and Definition of Film / Movie While the players who play a role in the film are referred to as actors (men) or actresses (women). There is also the term extras that are used as supporting characters with few roles in the film. This is different from the main actors who have bigger and more roles. Being an actor and an actress must be demanded to have good acting talent, which is in accordance with the theme of the film he is starring in. In certain scenes, the actor’s role can be replaced by a stuntman or a stuntman. The existence of a stuntman is important to replace the actors doing scenes that are difficult and extreme, which are usually found in action action films. Films can also be used to convey certain messages from the filmmaker. Some industries also use film to convey and represent their symbols and culture. Filmmaking is also a form of expression, thoughts, ideas, concepts, feelings and moods of a human being visualized in film. The film itself is mostly a fiction, although some are based on fact true stories or based on a true story. There are also documentaries with original and real pictures, or biographical films that tell the story of a character. There are many other popular genre films, ranging from action films, horror films, comedy films, romantic films, fantasy films, thriller films, drama films, science fiction films, crime films, documentaries and others. That’s a little information about the definition of film or movie. The information was quoted from various sources and references. Hope it can be useful. ❍❍❍ TV FILM ❍❍❍ The first television shows were experimental, sporadic broadcasts viewable only within a very short range from the broadcast tower starting in the 1930s. Televised events such as the 1936 Summer Olympics in Germany, the 19340 coronation of King George VI in the UK, and David Sarnoff’s famous introduction at the 1939 New York World’s Fair in the US spurred a growth in the medium, but World War II put a halt to development until after the war. The 19440 World MOVIE inspired many Americans to buy their first television set and then in 1948, the popular radio show Texaco Star Theater made the move and became the first weekly televised variety show, earning host Milton Berle the name “”Mr Television”” and demonstrating that the medium was a stable, modern form of entertainment which could attract advertisers. The first national live television broadcast in the US took place on September 4, 1951 when President Harry Truman’s speech at the Japanese Peace Treaty Conference in San Francisco was transmitted over AT&T’s transcontinental cable and microwave radio relay system to broadcast stations in local markets. The first national color broadcast (the 1954 Tournament of Roses Parade) in the US occurred on January 1, 1954. During the following ten years most network broadcasts, and nearly all local programming, continued to be in black-and-white. A color transition was announced for the fall of 1965, during which over half of all network prime-time programming would be broadcast in color. The first all-color prime-time season came just one year later. In 19402, the last holdout among daytime network shows converted to color, resulting in the first completely all-color network season. ❍❍❍ formats and genres ❍❍❍ See also: List of genres § Film and television formats and genres Television shows are more varied than most other forms of media due to the wide variety of formats and genres that can be presented. A show may be fictional (as in comedies and dramas), or non-fictional (as in documentary, news, and reality television). It may be topical (as in the case of a local newscast and some made-for-television films), or historical (as in the case of many documentaries and fictional MOVIE). They could be primarily instructional or educational, or entertaining as is the case in situation comedy and game shows.[citation needed] A drama program usually features a set of actors playing characters in a historical or contemporary setting. The program follows their lives and adventures. Before the 1980s, shows (except for soap opera-type serials) typically remained static without story arcs, and the main characters and premise changed little.[citation needed] If some change happened to the characters’ lives during the episode, it was usually undone by the end. Because of this, the episodes could be broadcast in any order.[citation needed] Since the 1980s, many MOVIE feature progressive change in the plot, the characters, or both. For instance, Hill Street Blues and St. Elsewhere were two of the first American prime time drama television MOVIE to have this kind of dramatic structure,[4][better source needed] while the later MOVIE Babylon 5 further exemplifies such structure in that it had a predetermined story running over its intendevd five-season run.[citvatio””&n needed] In 2007, it was reported that television was growing into a larger component of major media companies’ revenues than film.[5] Some also noted the increase in quality of some television programs. In 2007, Academy-Award-winning film director Steven Soderbergh, commenting on ambiguity and complexity of character and narrative, stated: “”I think those qualities are now being seen on television and that people who want to see stories that have those kinds of qualities are watching television. ❍❍❍ Thanks for everything and have fun watching❍❍❍ Find all the movies that you can stream online, including those that were screened this week. Frozen--Book 1--Chances
Chapter 9--“Thanks For Not Letting Me Get Killed”
_________
Summary
Hans is granted a second chance by a criminal known as the Mystery, someone people have only heard rumors about. How and why the Mystery decided to go out of his way to do this was beyond Hans, and frankly it bothered him. But once the Mystery’s plan goes into action, it’s only a matter of time before something bigger begins to develop.
(AO3 version) (Prologue)
_________
After they had eaten from their small food supply, Hans and the Mystery followed another branch of the river down a second path. The Mystery had to admit, he was looking forward to where this would lead. And as long as they didn’t go anywhere near “that path” he was fine.
The river eventually turned away, and the duo came across another shore. This one was covered in a layer of grass, much like the previous one. But unlike the previous one, moss covered spots of the trees. And the water looked dark.
Hans frowned as he studied the area more, but the Mystery was already making for the water. And Hans had no choice but to follow.
In the water, it wasn’t at all murky like he had assumed. And it wasn’t salty, so that was a welcome change.
A small handful of minutes passed before the vegetation changed. Both of them swam to the surface, and they were greeted with a thick forest and a darkened sky. Caution slowly grew within them as they swam out of the pond, and the Mystery was getting a nagging sense of familiarity.
“Do you have any idea where we are?” Hans asked.
The Mystery studied their surroundings before shrugging.
Finding two decently sized sticks, the prince rubbed them together until they were both alight. He then handed one of them to the Mystery before setting off.
They could find anything out here, wherever “here” was. Hans flipped through his memory for anything that could possibly give an identity to their location. The vegetation wasn’t much to go on, and the only wildlife around was crickets. If they were lucky, they might find someone else out here, and maybe that someone would be a native.
A branch cracked above them, forcing them to stop. They scanned the treetops for anything out of the ordinary, but it was becoming too dark to see that far up. The Mystery held his breath as the two of them scanned their surroundings.
A bush rustled to Hans’s left.
A twig snapped to the Mystery’s right.
Then silence.
Hans’s hand drifted to his hilt, and he scanned the area for a figure in the shadows.
Growling crept up behind them, and they slowly turned around. Raising his torch higher, the Mystery picked out steely eyes multiplying by the second.
One of the creatures dared to step closer to the light. A shadowy paw was followed by a leg, and soon the rest of it made it clear what they were up against.
“Run!” Hans urged.
The creatures barked and howled as the duo practically sprinted blindly through the woods. Howling brought Hans’s attention to his left, where more of the creatures were running after them.
One of them lunged for the Mystery, and he swung his torch at it to drive it away. But another tackled him down from behind. A howling screech sounded in his ear, and the weight was suddenly lifted off of him. He looked up at Hans glancing down at him with sword in hand, and the Mystery scrambled to his feet.
Something bright flickered in the corner of his eye, and the Mystery spotted a small fire beginning to spread from his fallen torch. Grabbing fistfuls of dirt, he threw it onto the fire until there was nothing left.
Hans thrust his torch toward a creature and sliced at another, making it dissipate into the air. The creatures felt solid, and yet they appeared as though they were mere phantoms. These had to have been conjured by magic. And if that was true, then their conjurer was most likely dangerous.
One of the creatures tugged on the Mystery’s cloak, and he immediately kicked it away. Another accompanied by a third forced him back toward the trees. Cracking his whip, he broke through the scuffle only for claws to tear across his leg. A cry was bit short, bringing Hans’s attention to the Mystery briefly.
A set of teeth bit into Hans’s torch arm, and he slammed the pommel of his sword onto the creature’s head until it released. Another tackled him to the ground, and he held its jaws back with his sword. Something warm was very close to his leg, and it was nicking him. He spotted the orange glow of fire and moved his leg as best as he could, but a set of teeth nearly nipping his nose forced him to stare right into the creature’s eyes.
The creature cried out as a whip wrapped around its torso and yanked it off of Hans. The prince’s next immediate instinct was to get as far away from the small fire as possible. He expected to feel a searing pain in his calf, so much so that he almost did feel it. But instead his boot was just scorched, and all he felt was an oddly comfortable warmth.
No time to think about that, Hans thought.
He threw dirt onto the fire until it was out, and he grabbed his sword to swing at the first bark he heard. Now that they were in complete darkness, it was hard to see. Not to mention he couldn’t even see the Mystery since his clothes were so dark.
If they were going to survive this, they needed to work together.
“Head for the middle!” Hans ordered.
The Mystery warded off another creature and darted for the spot only to be cut off. Claws raked across his whip arm, making him drop his weapon. Grimacing, he fished for his knife and brandished it toward the creatures. Hans picked out the Mystery’s silhouette as well as the eyes of the beasts and expertly slashed at the creatures.
Blindly the Mystery felt the ground for his whip. His hand brushed up against the handle (or at least he hoped it was the handle and not a snake), and he snatched it up before stashing his knife away.
A hand grabbed his wrist and yanked him out of range of a set of jaws. Reflexively he jerked his wrist free.
“We’re outnumbered. We can’t fight them all!” Hans pointed out.
Oh. That hand was him, the Mystery thought.
Stabbing a creature coming close to Hans, the Mystery grabbed Hans’s wrist to pull him along. The redhead then yanked his own wrist free and shot the Mystery a curt look.
“There has to be somewhere we can lose them,” Hans said.
The Mystery growled. They were running blind! How could they see anything?!
He risked lashing his whip out at one of the creatures that was close to him. They would probably die out here. But then again, he’s survived for this long. Maybe he could keep going.
Hans once again grasped the Mystery’s wrist and jerked him to the side. They dropped to the ground and pressed themselves up against what felt like a boulder. His grip still remained as the creatures ran past them. But none of them dared to move.
That was too easy. There was no way they would just keep going, the Mystery thought.
They waited in silence for what felt like ages. Nothing of those creatures was heard, not even their scuffling.
Finally, the duo breathed a sigh of relief, and Hans released his hold on the Mystery.
“We should be safe for now,” Hans said lowly.
The Mystery peeked around the boulder for a few moments before slowly standing up. Hans followed suit, and the duo carefully walked backwards only to tumble down a hill. Hans slammed into a tree, and the Mystery kept going for a few moments before coming to a stop.
Groaning, the Mystery picked himself up and dusted himself, wincing at the slashes on his right hand opening further. Yeah that’s enough action for today.
_________
Hans blew on the newborn flames until they grew, and he sat back against the wall of the small cave they had found. He watched the Mystery secure his cravat around his right arm as best as he could, the magenta a stark contrast against the navy blue of the thief’s clothes.
Hans removed his jacket and carefully rolled up the sleeve to his shirt. He couldn’t help wincing at the bite marks. They were so red, and frankly he didn’t want to burn the disgusting image into his mind.
Pulling out a handkerchief, Hans was about to begin wrapping when movement brought his attention to the Mystery coming to closer. The thief held a hand out, and Hans’s immediate response was to deny his help. He could handle himself. He always did.
But when he made eye contact, there was a genuine look to the Mystery’s eyes that he didn’t recall ever seeing before.
Hans handed the handkerchief to the Mystery, and the thief carefully went to work.
“. . . Thanks for . . . not letting me get killed.”
The prince looked to the Mystery. A feminine voice. “. . . You’re welcome.”
Silence again.
“I should thank you for helping me also.”
“You’re welcome.” The Mystery secured the handkerchief. “You got everything else?”
“Yes. Thank you.” Hans ripped off a piece of his tailcoat. “I wasn’t expecting you to speak.”
“Surprised?”
“Somewhat.” He handed the Mystery another handkerchief, to which the latter glanced to before taking it for her leg.
“Once we get back we’ll use the gauze. Then you can have this thing back.” The Mystery held up the arm bearing the cravat.
“Of course.”
The two settled into silence, and the Mystery picked at the berries they had managed to find.
“Do you have a name?”
The Mystery thought about it. “. . . Courtney. And I’m not lying.”
“Your parents?”
“Next question.” Her tone was harsh, and a frown tugged at Hans’s lips.
“Do you have siblings?”
“No.”
He debated on asking for her age, but that would’ve been rude. Even though he considered her rude at times.
“Anything else?”
Hans mused for a few moments. “. . . I would like that second chance.”
“It’s not going to be easy.”
“I know.”
“Good. Now get some sleep. I’m taking first watch.”
“I think I should be the one taking first watch.”
“I’ll wake you when it’s your shift. Now go to sleep.”
The two stared each other down for a few moments before Hans ultimately sighed and made himself comfortable.

ok so like, dont hate me 4 sending a lot (you can leave some out if you want) but for the character thing: Noah, Eva, Izzy, Trent, Courtney, Owen and Alejandro
Don’t worry about it Dude! I love babbling on about these dumb kids!
I, However do hate that this is the second time I had to write this, because Tumblr Hates me, and Life is Pain!
I hope this is as good as the first one I wrote, or at the very least, I hope you aren’t disappointed by my answers.
NOAH
How I feel about this character: Noah is definitely my favorite TD character! It is, however, important to note that I hate him and his dumb mean face. It’s also important to note that, in spite of being, just the worse, I do love him with all of my heart. I cherish him, and he does not deserve it.
All the people I ship romantically with this character: Nowen is the OTP, but I also really like one sided Alenoah! I think there are quite a few moments in WT that suggest our boy got a crush! Most notably that little smile he gives in “Newf Kids on the Rock” when Alejandro helps him out of the water. I also think he had a short lived Crush on Cody after the Kiss, that he will take to his Grave. I just really like the Idea of this Cynical Boy getting Crushes and being mad about it.
My non-romantic OTP for this character:  noah.... an eva... r.... frens...
My unpopular opinion about this character: OK so originally I had two things here, one of which being that he sucks, which is true, but I feel  like people already know that. So instead I’m going to share a headcannon that I’ll die by? Which is kind of an opinion?
So basically, I HC that Noah Loves physical affection, but he also Really Cares What People Think Of Him, so he, like, denies his want for hugs. But, the thing is, he can’t help himself when sleeping, and he has a tendency to cling to the nearest thing. Which is why we usually see him sleeping with his arms wrapped around himself, and when we see that he didn’t do that we next see him wake up wrapped around someone. This is also why I think he hugged Bridgette back in WT after Courtney Suggested they huddle for warmth. I think ya Boi weighed his options and figured this would be the best time to get some of that sweet sweet Physical Attention That He Craves that also comes with a believable and simple excuse. I would even go so far as to say he picked Bridgette specifically  because she’s Nice and Chill, and he figured she wouldn’t make a big deal out of it (But his plan doesn’t work how he intended, since Bridge is on Edge cause of Alejandro.) I also think this is one of the things He likes about hanging with Owen; because Owen lives and Breathes PDA, so Noah doesn’t have to embarrass himself by asking for hugs, he just has to wait until Owen does it by himself and pretend he’s upset by it.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.:  I really wish he had character Development? Like  actual  Character Development. So, in Island and World Tour, he’s just a sass boy. His only purpose really was comic relief, and he does his job well. But RR rolls up and he’s not the same boy? Like he’s still Noah, he still say’s things he would say, and like he’s just grown up, but like, we don’t see that? We don’t see  Noah Change, we’re just told he did? I mean I guess there’s a  Little,  and I mean  LITTLE, bit in WT, with how we see he loves his dog, and the subtle way he treats Owen. Like he’s still being kinda mean, but it’s always softer with Owen in WT, or with a level of fondness that you know he didn’t mean it to be Rude (Which was a good move, I think, because the Idea that Owen and Noah have very different ways they show affection is very good.) But that really isn’t??? Anything???  And it doesn’t help that the RR’s explanation for his change isn’t even that he’s grown over time, no, the change is hand waved away with, “Oh, well he’s in love Now :)” Like???? There’s a lot wrong with that, but let’s focus on how we can make this boy’s conclusion better and more satisfying.
So first, instead of falling for Emma immediately after she does some flips (Which???? You tellin’ me, Local Lazy Boy, who won’t Even Watch  Dodge Ball let alone Play it, is turned on by some Flips??? Falsehood.) We have Owen and Kitty become friends due to their similar fun loving and friendly personalities, which causes the two teams to be around each other more. At first Noah and Emma hate it, but then they start complaining about their partners, which leads to jokes, which leads to “Oh, wow, they’re smart.”, which leads to Respect, which leads to talking about more personal stuff, which leads to Friendship.(And, I guess if Fresh really wants a smooch, it could end in romance, but it’s not Necessary.) And then audience get’s to watch Noah let down his wall of snark and let another person into his life, which would of been more rewarding. (Also, it would be Better for Emma this way to, because her Arc would be about trusting people again after her break-up)
EVA
How I feel about this character: Eva is very  Good. I really love her competitive personality, but the little moments are the ones that kill me. The ones where she’s with her friends, and you get this feeling that Eva is just A sweetheart Who cares a lot about things?? That’s the best.
All the people I ship romantically with this character:  Evzy is adorable. I love the Idea of them meeting on the Playa de Losers, and Eva being absolutely smitten with Izzy, cause she’s strong and athletic, but also filled with all of the energy and is just a blast to be around. I have this headcannon that when we see them hanging out at the beginning of Total Drama Drama Drama Drama Island, I think Eva joined the Marshmallow/Burping contest to impress Izzy, and was really disappointed that she could only do 37. But it’s fine because Izzy loves her buff Girlfriend anyway
My non-romantic OTP for this character: eva..... noah.... fren...
Ok, I’ll give a little more on this, but only because their friendship is a hill I’m prepared to die on. So, I think that they bonded on the Playa, being the 2nd and 3rd people out, they had a l lot of time to get to know each other, and at first their friendship was more just a solidarity between to people who hate people. But then they started sharing insults with each other, until it grew into the two of them sitting back on the Playa, far enough from the other Losers where they couldn’t hear them, but close enough to see the others, and just do insulting voice overs? Do you know what I mean? Just talk over what the other were saying, and laughing together at what they came up with? I think that’s nice. I also think that when all of Team Escope + Owen get together to hangout, they do this, but it started with Eva and Noah.
My unpopular opinion about this character: I don’t know if this is unpopular or not, but I think when it comes to her friends and others she cares about, Eva is a Sweetheart. Like she’s still very irritable, but she does her best, and she loves her friends and I think that’s beautiful.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Eva deserves more Screen time. I think she has so much potential, and the little we’ve been given is already really good. I think they cold have gotten another season out of her where we could watch her build and solidify relationships. (I’m actually working on a rewrite of TD, because apparently that’s what I think of as fun, where Eva is in the final two of Island and has this whole arc about making friends and letting people in, and that should happen but for real.)
IZZY
How I feel about this character: Izzy was one of Baby Me’s Favorite Characters, but as time has gone on I’ve Kinda out grew her? I still LOVE her though, especially her Interactions with others.
All the people I ship romantically with this character: Baby Sky would of Sworn by Ozzy, but now I feel they work so much better as Friends. However Eva and Izzy are In Love.
My non-romantic OTP for this character: Though Izzy and Noah’s friendship is something precious to me, Izzy and Owen are BFF’s. Like they’re the kind of BFF’s that when together, their brain turns off and they go and do the dumbest stuff and have a blast doing it! I think I would go so far as to say that they’re soulmates with how well they go together.
My unpopular opinion about this character: This probably isn’t unpopular, but What Is That Girl Wearing???? She’s Active and Outdoors-y, She wouldn’t wear that??? Where did she even get that??? I strongly disagree with her outfit.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:  I wish they showed more interactions with Eva and Noah. The three of them go together really well, and when they’re together you can really feel the friendship. My favorite example of this is in TDWT episode Slap Slap Revolution, where Alejandro Put’s Noah in charge of Izzy, and when it cuts back to the two Izzy is just carrying Noah around??? Like??? That’s so Cute??? I would have loved more stuff like that.
TRENT
How I feel about this character: Oh???? Good Boy Time??? I’ve always Really liked Trent, and I will die mad about what they did to him >:(
All the people I ship romantically with this character: Gwent will always be cute. Trody however has cleared my skin and saved my Crops. I’m Flourishing. I can’t quite put my finger on why I like them together? I only just started shipping them, and  there is so few fanworks with them, but they are adorable which is basically my only criteria.
My non-romantic OTP for this character: Honorable mention goes out to the Drama Brothers, who are all friends, and it’s very good. However, ya boy’s Best Friend is definitely Gwen. I think post breakup, they make up and continue a friendship that is similar to what they had on Island sans wanting to smooch. I just feel like the two can talk for hours about absolutely nothing.
My unpopular opinion about this character: I Like the Nine Thing, It’s not That Bad.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.: I wish if they were gonna give Trent the 9 thing, that they introduce it in Island? Like in “Not Quite Famous” Gwen Catches him doing it before auditioning and asks what it was about, and he’s embarrassed but he shares with her anyway. And he does it again before preforming and it get’s established as a thing he does when nervous? Like he would do it other times throughout the show, but one that’s coming to mind is when Lindsay makes him the Puffer fish, he could tap his fork 9 times before eating it. Stuff like that. This is also stuff in my rewrite, oops.
COURTNEY
How I feel about this character: Oh! Good Girl Alert! I think Courtney is very cool. Sure, she’s a little High Strung and Intense, but that’s what makes her Courtney!
All the people I ship romantically with this character: Duncney is very cute when you ignore Him Cheating and Her wanting to change 47 things about him. But like, when he’s looking at the stars and asks if Gwen thinks Courtney is looking at the same stars??? That’s adorable. Gwourtney, also seems cute, and I might ship it more after I watch All-Stars! Heather and Courtney seem cute to, and so does Bridgette and Courtney...  Courtney is good in ships, is what I’m saying.
My non-romantic OTP for this character: My gut was Telling me to say Bridgette, but then I got punched with the Thought of Emma and Courtney being Friendly Law Rivals and..... Emma and Courtney are Friends. I think that they’re similar in a way that would cause them to butt heads, but I feel like their relationship would have a lot of respect and understanding to where they wouldn’t stay mad at each other for very long. I also think they’d agree on a lot, and just really enjoy their conversations with each other.
My unpopular opinion about this character: Honestly?? I’m pretty sure all of my opinions of Courtney are pretty run of the mil? Maybe after finishing my Re-watch of WT and finally watching AS I’ll have opinions that people would want to fight me on, but as of now, I got nothin’.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.: Courtney is such a hard worker, and she’s also really smart and determined. She definitely should have made it to the final two in a season, and I feel like the reason she wasn’t was because she stopped being Courtney, and became  Courtney, Duncan’s Girlfriend; or Courtney, Duncan’s Ex; or Courtney, the one with a Strained Friendship. She didn’t get a chance to be her own character. Maybe that’s an unpopular opinion? Maybe I could have put that above this? Who Knows.
OWEN
How I feel about this character:  *GASP* Here Comes another good Boy! I really love Owen, even if I don’t always appreciate how they use him.
All the people I ship romantically with this character:  He loves his little Buddy So much :’)...... He wants to Top His Honor Roll :’)......... He wants Noah to be his Hero (Which he already is). :’)........ Noah Helps him with his fear of Flying :’)....... And Owen helps Noah come out of his shell and not be afraid to be himself and have fun:’)..... They..... They love Each other so much :’)
My non-romantic OTP for this character:  Owen and Izzy are BFF’s! Owen Loves Izzy SO much, and I think he definitely misunderstood all of his love as Romantic at one point, and when he realized he didn’t like her that way he didn’t want to say anything at first because he does love her and he didn’t want to hurt her. Which is not the right choice, but he’s such a good Boy :’)
My unpopular opinion about this character: I don’t think He should have won Island. I think there were other characters who were trying harder than Owen, and who wanted to win, as apposed to Owen who just wanted to have fun and Make friends. Which there is nothing wrong with that, and I do think he should of made it far, but I think there were other characters who deserved the win more. I think a better end for Owen in Island would have been, instead of the Losers repeating Leshawna’s Name, they do that with Owen’s. I think this would of been a nice end for our boy, because all he wanted was to make Friends and have a good time, and this elimination would be a testament to how good at that he was.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.: I wish they had focused less on fart jokes and fat jokes, and more on his friendly and fun loving personality. Owen is a really good Boy, and I feel like that get’s overshadowed by how he’s used as comic relief, and that’s a shame.( I want to clarify that my problem isn’t that he’s comic relief, it’s the comedy they use with him. )
ALEJANDRO
How I feel about this character:  I think Alejandro is a Really good Villain. He’s fun to watch and to Root against. (I’m not as familiar with Alejandro as I am with the others, so I won’t have as much to say as the ones prior)
All the people I ship romantically with this character:  Aleheather is very good! I’m a big fan of their dynamic.
My non-romantic OTP for this character: I’m not sure yet. I’m Currently          re-watching WT, so I might come to a conclusion by the end of it. Or maybe in AS. But I will find him a Friend. I will, Oooh, I will.
My unpopular opinion about this character:  0/10 Not Enough Eel.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.: So far, the show has done pretty good with Ya boi, which is surprising. I hope it will stay that way, but I kinda doubt it? There is also nothing I can think of that I’d want to see? Maybe him insulting someone in Spanish, but saying it like a complement, but there is a chance he has done that, and I Just Didn’t Catch it.

Suddenly I have 101 Followers!
100 Follower Celebration!!
Hi everyone! First, I want to say thank you so much! I never thought this blog would get 50 followers let alone 101 since I originally made it to post my original writings like Wolf Captain. But after making some new friends and stumbling on new inspiration I decided to open this blog up to where I post anything I write. (I may also go digging through my other blogs and posting any story related artwork I made.)
Second, I wanted to do something to celebrate reaching 100 followers so I have decided to open up requests! I’m not sure how long they will be open, it will depend on how many I get.
SO, to get us started I’ve put together a list of characters I feel confident enough to write for. I have also made a list of songs that I enjoy for you all to choose from (if you want, you don’t have too), and a short list of prompts as well. You all can send me a character with a song or a prompt or if you have your own ideas that works too! It’s all below the cut, otherwise this would be super long.
 Here we go!
Please Note:  I do withhold the right to say no to a request if I am not comfortable with the theme/subject of the request as there are certain subjects I am not comfortable with writing. Such as rape and child abuse and similar things, especially if the requests asks that the main character commit/participate in those things.

Prompts:
“I have a solution.” “Thank goodness.” “It involves fire.” “Absolutely not.”
“You’re an assassin!?” “We’ve been friends for literally two days. Why are you so shocked?” “I just thought I’d get a normal friend for once.” “What do you mean ‘for once?’“
“Please don’t tell me you’re bringing her.” “She’s harmless!” “She shot you. Twice.” “It was an honest mistake.”
“Right now, I don’t know if I want to kiss you or shove you off a bridge.” “Can I pick?”
“Murder wasn’t on today’s agenda.” “It’s not on anyone’s.” “No, it’s on mine, just not until next Thursday.”
“Hold on, you died.” “Yeah, well it didn’t stick.”
“There’s an unspoken rule where if this many people are trying to kill you, then you should be dead already.” “Yes, well, they all suck at killing.”
“She’s kinda a badass.” “She’s kinda super evil too.”
“I’m trying to have a serious conversation with you!” “And I’m trying to subtly avoid it!”
“This is my life now. I have climbed this hill and now I will die upon it.” “Shut up. We’ve only been hiking for twenty minutes.”
“So... Vandalism?” “This person or thing ripped a hole through the fabric of our dimension and the best you can come up with is vandalism?”
“Is that blood?” “No?” “That’s not a question you’re supposed to answer with another question.”
“Hey, I didn’t kill anyone today!” “What do you want? A gold star?”
“How do we keep getting in these situations?” “Eleven years of friendship and I still don’t know.”
“You’re not as evil as people think you are.” “No. I’m much worse.”
“What’s our exit strategy?” “Our what?” “Oh my god, we’re all going to die.”
“Damn it, why aren’t you obeying the laws of physics?”
“Are you sure I can’t punch him in the face?” “Yes.” “What if I just break his nose a little?”
“You don’t strike me as a professional criminal.” “That’s what makes me so good at it.”
“How’d you do that?” “Maybe if you did a little less talking and a little more watching, you’d figure it out.”
“Why are you covered in mud?”
“You’ll be the death of me.”
“You know, it’s okay to cry.”
“I can’t believe you dragged me into this.”
“Bite me.” “Eat me.” “Kiss my ass.”
“You have to tell me why we are committing a felony before we do it. Not that’s going to stop us, but at least I’ll have all the facts.”
“I vote today be a pajama day.”
“It’s a real shame nobody asked for your opinion.”
“It isn’t up for debate.”
“I don’t know what’s wrong, okay? I’m just... really tired.”
“I’m not leaving until you tell me what’s wrong, and don’t try lying to me.”
“Pirates said fuck the rich and also disabled rights and I think that is very sexy of them.” “They said gay rights too.” “They absolutely did.”
“Someone needs to give them a taste of their own medicine.” “I’ll do it.”
“You couldn’t steal someone’s girl/boyfriend even if you tried.” “Watch me.”
Makeup can cover up a lot, but it can’t cover everything.
I wasn’t born to be soft and quiet. I was born to make the world shatter and shake at my fingertips.
I took most of these off pintrest, so none of them are mine. If you have a different prompt, feel free to ask!

There is also the term extras that are used as minor characters with few roles in the film. This differs from the main actors, who have larger and more roles. As an actor and actress, good acting talent must be required that corresponds to the subject of the film in which he plays the leading role. In certain scenes, the role of the actor can be replaced by a stunt man or a stunt man. The existence of a stuntman is important to replace the actors who play difficult and extreme scenes that are usually found in action-action films. Movies can also be used to deliver certain messages from the filmmaker. Some industries also use film to convey and represent their symbols and culture. Filmmaking is also a form of expression, thoughts, ideas, concepts, feelings and moods of a person that are visualized in the film. The film itself is mostly fictional, though some are based on actual stories or on a true story. There are also documentaries with original and real images or biographical films that tell the story of a character. There are many other popular genre films, from action films, horror films, comedy films, romantic films, fantasy films, thriller films, drama films, science fiction films, crime films, documentaries and others. This is some information about the definition of film or film. The information has been cited from various sources and references. Hope it can be useful. ❍❍❍ TV FILM ❍❍❍The first television shows were experimental, sporadic programs that from the 1930s could only be seen at a very short distance from the mast. TV events such as the 1936 Summer Olympics in Germany, the crowning of King George VI. In Britain in 19340 and the famous launch of David Sarnoff at the 1939 New York World’s Fair in the United States, the medium grew, but World War II brought development to a halt after the war. The 19440 World MOVIE inspired many Americans to buy their first television, and in 1948 the popular Texaco Star Theater radio moved to become the first weekly television variety show that hosted Milton Berle and earned the name “Mr Television” demonstrated The medium was a stable, modern form of entertainment that could attract advertisers. The first national live television broadcast in the United States took place on September 4, 1951, when President Harry Truman’s speech at the Japanese Peace Treaty Conference in San Francisco on AT & T’s transcontinental cable and microwave relay system was broadcasting to broadcasters in local markets has been. The first national color show (the 1954 Rose Parade tournament) in the United States took place on January 1, 1954. 10:15PM Scare Package (Texas Premiere) Under Worlds Centerpiece Film
Tumblr media
USA | 103 min
Directors: Emily Hagins, Baron Vaughn, Noah Segan, Chris McInroy, Anthony Cousins, Hillary & Courtney Andujar, Aaron B. Koontz Cast: Toni Trucks, Joe Bob Briggs, Dustin Rhodes, Chase Williamson, Baron Vaughn, Noah Segan
A meta Horror-comedy anthology film where each segment subverts a different set of Horror tropes, SCARE PACKAGE intertwines its components around the on-boarding of a mysterious new employee at a struggling genre video store: Rad Chad’s Horror Emporium.
This year’s Under Worlds Centerpiece film is very special for our programming team for many reasons. It’s an intelligent, creative look at the Horror genre that is both hilarious and scary. Furthermore, three of the segments were shot here in Austin by local filmmakers, one of whom is an Other Worlds alumni. The producing team for the film does a great job managing the tone of the anthology while still maintaining each director’s vision. It is rare to see an anthology film where connecting material is just as compelling as the individual parts, but the team has done it here.

Questions For LGBT Ladies #LGBTask Answer them all hehe
questions for lgbt ladies #lgbtask
i’ll skip the ones i’ve already done. see previous post for answers.
1 ) how do you define your sexuality? lesbian af.2 ) at what age did you first realize that you like girls? my first crush was at age 8 but i didn’t recognize it as such until i was looking back later. my first inkling was when i was thirteen and my teacher said that one in ten people are gay, which meant at least two or three of us in my class were gay and i was like, “i wonder who the others are,” and then panicked. there were a few times like that and many a woman i ‘admired’ but i didn’t acknowledge it until i was nineteen.3 ) how out are you? pretty out. there’s only a few people left in my regular life who don’t know.5 ) who was the first person you came out to? how did they take it? the first person i told was courtney, who later became my first girlfriend. so that’s how she took it lol.6 ) has coming out lost you any friends? yup. not many, thankfully, but one of my best friends from high school was dating a super-homophobic ( and just all around terrible ) guy and he convinced her to stop being my friend. and considering how disgusted she acted whenever i did talk about my gf at the time, i was kind of over it anyway. i do kind of miss her sometimes though.7 ) what is your current relationship status? in a relationship~8 ) how many gay friends do you have? online? like a billion. offline? like one lmao.9 ) how many male friends do you have? i have a few male friends but only two i’d consider myself close to: peter and miguel.10 ) have you ever cut your hair super short? nope. chin-length was the shortest i ever went and i hated it.11 ) how often do you wear flannel? listen... i counted up all the plaids in my closet a few months ago and it totalled twelve. and i have since bought at least four more. a better question is how often am i not wearing it.12 ) how much do you like cats? i’m currently trying to get a new kitten, so every time someone in the house does something well, i’m like, “wow, you deserve a kitten!” and every time they don’t, i tell them, “that’ll cost you one kitten.” so far no bites. but i really, really love cats.13 ) do you like skirts and dresses? sometimes, if i’m in the mood...which isn’t often.15 ) do you have any tattoos? if so, how many and where? i do. i have two; one on each wrist. on my right wrist is my first tattoo, a triquetra, and on my left is an infinity arrow. i just got that one a week ago.16 ) how accurate is your gaydar? unfortunately my ‘gaydar’ is often very confused with my ‘please-be-gay-dar.’17 ) have you ever been to a gay bar or a gay club? yep. we only really have one here and it mostly tailors to men and straight girls, so i don’t like it that much. i went to a couple out of town. the one in san francisco ( i’m blanking on its name ) was by far the best.18 ) how do you feel when platonic female friends refer to each other as girlfriends? it’s so annoying. straight girls who refer to their female friends as ‘girlfriend’ owe me and all other sapphics $20 cash.19 ) have you ever had a crush on a straight girl? isn’t that, like, the most universal lesbian experience?20 ) ellen or portia? excuse me, what do you mean or ??? they’re the best together. but portia is my actual hero.21 ) is your nose pierced? nope.22 ) would you ever want to get married? if i meet a woman i’m certain i want to spend my life with, absolutely.23 ) will you wear a dress for your wedding? probably. 25 ) have you ever watched the l word? i watched the first season and maybe it makes me a bad lesbian, but i couldn’t get it into it.26 ) have you ever dated a guy? yep. nothing serious, though. i mean i literally gagged kissing one of them, so...27 ) how do you feel when someone uses the word gay to mean stupid, dumb, or boring? they’re probably stupid, dumb, and boring if they’re still using it for that.28 ) how many rainbow items do you own? lmao so many. my favorite recent addition is monty puckers, my stuffed gay gorilla.29 ) have you ever been to a pride festival? i just went to the one in my city last week.30 ) have you ever celebrated national coming out day ( october 11 )? i’ll usually post stuff about it and in support of all my lgbt siblings, but i’ve never uesd it to come out, myself.31 ) have you ever participated in the national day of silence? considering this is the first i’ve heard of it, no. but now i’m going to google to find out more.32 ) have you ever worn a woman’s suit? no, but women in suits 💯👌🏻👅 sign me tf up.33 ) have you ever worn any men’s clothing? i own a couple flannels from the men’s section and a few tees, but not really. i like my stuff more fitted.35 ) do you consider yourself a feminist? absolutely. intersectional, of course.36 ) who is your favorite lgbt celebrity? kate mckinnon, in case you can’t tell from my blog, is my #1. portia de rossi, stephanie beatriz, aubrey plaza, ani difranco, and melissa etheridge are pretty high up there, too.37 ) are you religious at all? yes. i don’t go to church every sunday anymore, but i do consider myself a non-denominational christian.38 ) how often do you find yourself trying to sneak a peak or staring at a cute female? i stare a lot. it’s kind of a problem.39 ) what is your ideal first date? usually for first dates, i like something lowkey where we can just get to know each other. after that, i like stuff like arcades and amusement parks and lots of movie dates and netflix.40 ) are you comfortable with terms such as lezzie, lesbo, or dyke? i’m great with them if they come from other lesbians. if they come from non-lesbians, no. miss me with that homophobic crap. it’s not yours to reclaim.41 ) how outdoorsy are you? i’m allergic to sun, so not very. i love the forest and walking down by the river and visiting elbow falls and such, but i can’t really do much of that anymore without ending up wanting to die.42 ) in general, has being out affected your relationships with other females? sometimes it’s really weird and i do notice them treating me differently, but usually it’s fine.43 ) how much makeup do you typically wear? not a lot, but i do wear a full face any time i’m going out or having company over. i just feel more comfortable with it.45 ) are you more feminine or more masculine? definitely femme. even if i don’t wear the heels.46 ) how long is the longest relationship you’ve been in? are you still with that person? coming up on nine months and yes. 47 ) have you and a girlfriend ever been mistaken for sisters? no. i don’t usually date girls who look enough like me lol.48 ) do you think it is possible for someone to truly be a 50/50 bisexual, or is the percentage always skewed in favor of one gender? i think it’s not my place to decide how other people experience attraction.49 ) have you ever wished you were completely straight? i used to when i was younger. now i’m really glad i’m not because girls are amazing and i love being a lesbian.50 ) do you watch any lesbian youtubers? sometimes. usually stevie or ally hills or hannah hart. i don’t watch any youtubers regularly though.51 ) do you like wearing combat boots or doc martins? motorcycle boots are my jam.52 ) have you ever been hit on by another female? yes. often. and a shining moment for me was being asked out by a girl while waiting for my date ( another girl ) to arrive. ( i said ‘no,’ obviously, but i was proud of myself. )53 ) how athletic are you? 0%. faked injuries to get out of p.e.; only runs when chased.55 ) what is your opinion of septum/bull nose piercings? not really into it, personally, but if that’s what makes you happy, i’m not judging. some chicks look really hot with them.56 ) what does equality mean to you? it means equal rights and protections under the law, but it also means that one day those laws won’t even be needed because people won’t have to be told that we’re human, too. it means no more stupid ass debates about whether companies can deny service to lgbt patrons or idiots on television saying lesbians caused the hurricanes. it means that kids won’t grow up thinking straight is the only option or that they’re somehow bad or wrong for being lgbt. it means we won’t all be assumed to be straight or cis.57 ) if you are not a full blown lesbian, about what percentage of the time do you find yourself attracted to other females? uhhhh? i don’t know? i don’t fall for every girl i see, if that’s the question. i definitely notice when girls are really attractive. 58 ) have you ever shared clothes with a girlfriend? no, but honestly...goals.59 ) have you ever liked or dated a girl with the same name as you? no. that’s, like, one of my main criteria. it would be way too weird. and unfortunately i have one of the most common names for sapphic women around here. i would, however, make an exception for stephanie beatriz. 60 ) how flirty are you? i can be pretty flirty, but usually only with people i’m in relationships with or who have already expressed interest in me.61 ) are you a virgin? no.62 ) do you listen to any lgbt musicians such as tegan and sara, melissa etheridge, or chely wright? all of the above, yes. i almost exclusively listen to lgbt artists, with a few exceptions like rob giles and emily kinney.63 ) have you ever been told that you are too pretty to be gay? yes. which i think is missing the entire point. other girls are too pretty for me not to be gay, and i’m not wasting myself on a dude.65 ) have you ever driven an suv or a pickup truck? i have not, as i am a terrible driver who would like the smallest car possible to avoid collision. i have, however, been picked up for dates in both and yes. a+ 10/10 do recommend.66 ) are you or have you ever been a tomboy? as a kid i always thought i wanted to be a tomboy but was far too girly...turns out i was just in love with the tomboys.67 ) agree or disagree: everyone is at least a little bit gay. disagree. sexuality is fluid for some and less for others.68 ) what personality trait are you most attracted to? sense of humor and kindness.69 ) boobs or butts? eyes. but also boobs.70 ) beer or wine? vodka.71 ) do you have a favorite lesbian movie? up until recently, it was imagine me & you. now it’s for sure a million happy nows. i’m still sobbing.72 ) from 1-10, how attractive are muscular women? 10/10.73 ) from 1-10, how attractive are women who wear glasses? depends on the girl and the glasses but 8-10/10.75 ) from 1-10, how attractive are curvy/plus-size women? 10/10. 76 ) from 1-10, how attractive are women with short hair? i tend toward being attracted to long hair but honestly there are so many stunners with short hair like 15/10.77 ) from 1-10, how attractive are masculine butch women? 10/10. although i usually go for a little femininity. that futch aesthetic is my greatest weakness.78 ) from 1-10, how attractive are highly intelligent women? 10/10.79 ) from 1-10, how attractive are tall women ( i.e. around 6 feet or taller )? wow. lemme climb you. i mean what80 ) have you ever been on your period the same time as a girlfriend? yes? 81 ) has a girl ever dumped you for a guy? no, i don’t think so.82 ) do you carry a purse? i try to avoid it.83 ) do you have any lgbt relatives? my mom’s uncle was gay and had a successful drag show in vancouver, but i was never allowed to meet him before he died. otherwise, nope. just me.85 ) would you ever date a trans girl? i mean, probably.86 ) how well do you think lgbt women are portrayed in television? lol that’s a joke, right? i’ve seen some good reps but usually we’re side characters or killed off and there isn’t a whole lot of diversity, so tv really needs to up its game as a whole.87 ) have you ever had a crush on a woman who’s much older than you? listen... i’m the queen of falling for older women. i once dated a woman who was almost twice my age. although tbh it was a bit of a mistake for other reasons.88 ) do you have any celebrity crushes? do i??? someone find me lauren cohan so i can propose immediately.89 ) do you have any opinions on lgbt people in the military? yeah, my opinion is fuck off with your homophobia and transphobia. someone’s risking their life to keep your company safe, you can shut the fuck up about what’s between their legs or who they choose to spend their lives with.90 ) do you believe in love at first sight? nah. i believe in attraction / crushes / lust and being really drawn to someone, but you can’t know you love someone until you actually know them as a person. otherwise you’re just projecting your ideas of what you want them to be.91 ) would you ever have a threesome? if so, would a guy be included? i’m too jealous for a threesome. i’d just be crying the whole time lmao. and a guy would never, ever be included even if i did somehow change my mind.92 ) where do you think is the best place to meet a potential lover? ideally? out in the wild, like, in class or at a bookstore or something. realistically, on an app like her.93 ) is there such a thing as “good” lesbian porn? i’m sure somewhere out there it exists, but i’ve yet to find it.95 ) how often do you wear a bra? whenever i go out or have company over. if i’m just lounging at home, i don’t tend to bother.96 ) have you ever been part of a softball team? nope. like i said, 0% athletic.97 ) if you could live your life all over again, would you still be attracted to other women? well, it wasn’t really a choice to begin with? but if it was, yes, i would.98 ) what stereotype about lgbt women do you disagree with the most? miss me with that predatory lesbian bullshit.99 ) what advice would you give a girl who is struggling to figure out her sexuality? give yourself time. don’t do anything you aren’t comfortable with. labels can be great, but don’t stress too hard if you don’t know what you are or don’t want to define yourself. just respect yourself and do what makes you happy. and fuck what other people think.100 ) what advice would you give a girl who is struggling to come out? be safe and don’t feel pressured to tell anyone you don’t want to tell. your safety and comfort is top priority.

Wait, what are your faraday mixes?!? Share please!
oh, holy moly, buckle up because here’s an incoming massive post about my faraday music, anon.
first, i’ll include my 8tracks links. that’ll be simplest to go poke around for yourself, but! because 8tracks now has their imposed listening limit, i’ll also include a handy-dandy track list with youtube links, just to make it easy as pie. (the track lists will have clickable links for the song titles!)
so, something to keep in mind with my faraday mixes is that, largely, they have a general western/southern gothic aesthetic for the music selection!
so far so good is my first faraday mix. the track list is here:
1. hugo — 99 problems; 2. ben caplan — down to the river; 3. the devil makes three — old number 7; 4. the heavy — short change hero; 5. dorothy — whiskey fever; 6. isobel campbell/mark lanegan — snake song; 7. kaleo — no good; 8. the strumbellas — spirits;  9. the heavy — how you like me now; 10. kill it kid — wild and wasted waters;
i gotta like with myself ‘til i’m dust is my second faraday mix. tracks:
1. johnny cash — ain’t no grave; 2. barns courtney — glitter and gold; 3. dan auerbach — heartbroken, in disrepair; 4. jamie n commons — glory; 5. kill it kid — run; 6. monica heldal — conman coming; 7. nathaniel rateliff and the night sweats — S.O.B.; 8. the steeldrivers — ghosts of mississippi;  9. the never ending — when the dark falls; 10. willy moon — railroad track;
dodging bullets with your broken past is where i start to break the southern gothic aesthetic, because this is specifically for modern!faraday.
1. the struts — could have been me; 2. keaton henson — beekeeper; 3. aloe blacc — ticking bomb; 4. elle king — where the devil don’t go; 5. royal deluxe — i’m gonna do my thing; 6. wolfmother — joker and the thief; 7. young empires — the gates; 8. demon hunter — i am a stone;  9. blitzen trapper — valley of death;
now, i also have a varaday mix published on 8tracks (though i have enough songs for those idiots for at least three mixes), and a few emmaday ones on 8tracks, too. but since this is specifically for faraday, i’m not going to list those! but i’ve continued adding music for faraday/haven’t published more of my mixes, so i’ll just add a handy-dandy list here and call it a general mix.
run for the hills, honey is what i’ll call this one. this isn’t everything, if only because my faraday music is too expansive to include all of it, but this is a bit of it. genre-wise, this will probably be all over the place.
1. san fermin — jackrabbit; 2. nevada wild — startin a war; 3. the arcadian wild — liar; 4. we is shore dedicated — i want to die easy; 5. the ragged jubilee —whiskey; 6. little hurricane — bad moon rising; 7. woodkid — iron; 8. gary clark jr — don’t owe you a thang;  9. wovenhand — sinking hands; 10. speak — heavy metal war; 11. RIVVRS — walk in the wild; 12. ethel and the chordtones — trouble; 13. the moth & the flame — live while i breathe; 14. diana krall — devil may care; 15. the strumbellas — shovels & dirt; 16. matt hires — black river;
okay, admittedly, i could keep going because i have way too much faraday music (AND WAY TOO MANY FEELINGS ABOUT THIS IDIOT COWBOY), so i’m going to stop there. sorry this post is humongous, but hopefully this will keep you busy for a while, anon!

Nebula: The Courtney chronical
A/N: The Year: 2004. The Place: Brisbane, Australia. Baby Courtney is 11 years old. And she has her first crush. And it is not going well…
(Special thanks to @samrull for providing the inspiration for Courtney’s obsessive desires.)
Written by @veronicasanders ❤️
***
Loving someone from afar was hard work. Ever since Isabelle’s family had moved in the summer before, Courtney had been praying, wishing, hoping against all hope that the older girl would notice her. Would talk to her. Would look in her direction for more than a passing, dismissive glance.
Courtney loved everything about her. From the red streaks in her platinum blonde hair, to her wide hazel eyes, to her sarcastic laugh, to the dimples that appeared in her cheeks when she flashed her crooked smile. She loved how Isabelle didn’t give a fuck what the “popular” kids did, but instead had her own style, her own interests, her own laissez-faire attitude. She kept a leather-bound journal and used to scribble in it angrily, glaring at people when they pissed her off. She told one particularly dickheaded boy in their neighborhood that she was a witch, after she saw him push his sister down a hill. Helping the girl up, she stared at him with daggers in her eyes, swearing to curse him for all eternity unless he apologized.
She was everything.
Of course, a girl like that - the epitome of cool, the queen of counter-culture - that girl had no use for Courtney. Who never spoke up, who never made trouble. Never stood out in any way. Courtney was everything Isabelle was not. Ordinary. Vanilla. Boring.
And then, one day, at the start of Summer holiday, a miracle happened. A bone-fide Christmas miracle. Courtney’s parents decided to take her brother to Sydney to look at colleges (as if Ben was going to college. Courtney’s parents meant well, but they were a little slow on the uptake sometimes), and voila! Suddenly she was staying with Isabelle’s family. Sleeping on a twin bed in her room. For five. Whole. Days.
***
“I hate ALL my clothes!” Isabelle moaned, tossing yet another outfit dramatically to the ground. “I have literally NOTHING to WEAR! This fuckin’ SUCKS!”
Courtney bit her lip. She wanted to offer a solution, but wasn’t 100% sure how a drag closet would be received. “Um...we could go to my house. Ben has some pretty cool shit.”
“Boy clothes?” Isabelle looked skeptical.
“Well...not exactly.”
“What do you mean?”
“It’s sort of hard to explain.”
Isabelle narrowed her eyes and sighed, exasperated. “Alright, Miss Mysterious. Let’s go.”
Butterflies filled Courtney’s stomach as they walked outside, through the garden, across the narrow creek, up the hill to Courtney’s house. Courtney led her up the steps to Ben’s room, where giant, dramatic black letters warned them to “KEEP OUT OR SUFFER THE DIRE CONSEQUENCES!!!!!!!!” She pushed open the door, feeling more nervous about Isabelle in her house then invading her brother’s sacred personal space.
She slid open the mirrored closet door, revealing the two-third’s of the closet where Ben kept all of his drag stuff. Sequins and feathers and lace...fringe and sparkles and pleather and fishnets. Rows of heels on the floor below the clothes, and stacks of wigs and boxes of jewelry on the shelves above, along with his extensive makeup collection.
Isabelle’s eyes practically bugged out of her head. “This is your BROTHER’S stuff?”
“Yeah.”
“So...your brother is gay?”
“Um...yeah.”
Isabelle considered this for a moment, and then nodded approvingly. “That’s cool as.”
Courtney felt a sense of relief wash over her, pride replacing her edgy nerves. “He does my makeup and stuff all the time.”
“Really?! You’re sooo lucky. All my brother cares about is surfing and his dumb motorbike.”
Courtney gestured grandly to the closet. “Well...you can try some of his stuff on if you want.”
Soon enough, they’d both concocted entirely new ensembles. Isabelle in a shiny copper halter top and houndstooth shorts, and Courtney in the more ridiculous outfit that Isabelle had insisted on: a padded, sequined bra and pleather mini-skirt with a fringed bolero jacket. After Isabelle used Ben’s prized palette to add some color to Courtney’s face, all that was left was loading themselves up with every piece of jewelry Ben owned, before collapsing, giggling, onto his bed.
Isabelle gazed around the room at all the pictures on Ben’s walls. She smiled appreciatively at his Moulin Rouge poster, and then her eyes lit up at the shrine to Robbie Williams over his desk.
“Your brother has good taste. I’d give anything to pash Ewan. Or Robbie.”
Courtney nodded in agreement, though she wasn’t sure she saw the allure, exactly. Although she had to admit that Ewan was at least relatively cute, compared to most boys she knew.
“You ever pashed anyone, Courtney?” Isabelle had a slightly teasing lilt to her voice. As if she already knew the answer.
Courtney bristled a little. She was determined not be seen as a baby. “Yes,” she lied.
Isabelle raised an eyebrow. “Really? Who?”
Thinking quickly, Courtney answered, “Greg.” The tall, soft-spoken boy on her cheer team was always nice to Courtney, and he was clean and didn’t smell nearly as bad as most of the other boys in her class. If she was gonna have to pash any boy, it may as well have been him.
Isabelle burst out laughing. “You sure love the homos, Court. Greg is gay as mardi gras.”
Courtney felt her cheeks heat up. She cleared her throat, racking her brain to try and divert the attention away from herself. “Have...have you pashed anyone?”
“Nope!” Isabelle said. “I want my first time to be magical. Like in the movies. My friends think I’m weird but I don’t care.”
“I...I don’t think that’s weird.” Courtney suddenly wished she hadn’t lied. “I think it’s cool.”
“Yeah, well. I’m not just leaving it up to fate, though. I practice a lot.”
“How do you practice?”
“Like...you know...on your hand, or a pillow, or...you know, with your friends.”
“Your friends?”
Isabelle flashed a crooked smile, revealing those dimples that Courtney wanted to reach out and touch. It took all her strength to keep her hands to herself. “You know...like...girls don’t count. That’s just like, so you can get good at it for when it’s time to kiss a boy. Like, for real.”
Courtney’s palms began to get sweaty, and her mouth was dry as chalk. She swallowed.
“Of course, you don’t need practice, since you’re already an expert. You and Greeeeg.” Isabelle winked and Courtney thought she might die of embarrassment.
“I...may have lied about that,” she whispered.
“No shit,” Isabelle replied, hazel eyes glittering with delight.
Courtney focused away from her eyes, on her shoulders, tanned a deep caramel from the summer sun, such an enticing color that Courtney had a desire to lick her. She heard rustling and felt Isabelle moving closer to her on the bed. She looked up, saw her plush, round, plum-colored lips. She wondered if they would taste like the watermelon candy they’d eaten earlier.
“Do you want me to show you?” Isabelle asked, one finger just barely touching her chin.
Courtney prayed that she didn’t appear overly enthusiastic when she nodded, closing her eyes. And then Isabelle’s soft, moist lips were on hers, and her fingertips itched, tentatively reaching out to graze her bare midriff, circling her waist, just as Isabelle lifted her head.
“Okay, now, remember, I’m the boy,” Isabelle reminded her, rolling Courtney onto her back. “So you need to follow my lead. This time, you gotta open your mouth.”
Courtney nodded, glassy-eyed. At that point she would’ve followed her off a cliff. Her lips parted eagerly and Isabelle slipped her tongue inside, shifting the weight of her body so that she was pressing Courtney down into the mattress.
Hands cupping Courtney’s face, Isabelle murmured soft instructions to her. “Rub your tongue against mine...suck on my bottom lip...squeeze my butt…” Courtney tried to hear and follow as she floated through the clouds, ecstatic and breathless by the sheer proximity of their bodies, bare skin of their bellies pressed together, the scent of her strawberry shampoo.
Skin flushed and burning, Courtney arched her body up, rolling her hips, lifting her knees, rubbing against the older girl, in a state of utter lust, until she was slammed back into reality by the sound of laughter, Isabelle rolling away. “Damn, Courtney. You’re a little nympho, aren’t you?”
Courtney raised herself onto her elbows, panting, hair falling into her eyes. She tried to catch her breath, watching Isabelle straighten her top and fix her lipstick, at a loss for words.
“It’s cool if I borrow these clothes, right? I’m meeting Megan and Zoe at the mall.”
“Y-yeah. It’s cool.”
“Great. See you later!”
***
By dinnertime, Courtney was still too embarrassed to join the family. She told Mrs. Peterson that she had a stomachache. Did Isabelle think she was...what did Isabelle think?
It turned out that her fears were for naught. Isabelle didn’t seem to think anything at all about her. She spent the next few days out with her friends, mostly, and when Courtney’s mom came to pick her up that Saturday, she merely gave her a casual wave and a “see you around,” barely looking up from the fashion magazine in her lap.
They didn’t see each other much over the next school year, either, since Isabelle was in the High School and Courtney was still in Primary. It was probably for the best when her family moved again the following summer. After seeing her boyfriend dropping her off a few times, Courtney knew that there would be no more “practicing” required, and she couldn’t bear those knowing smirks Isabelle would toss her way on the rare occasion she actually acknowledged her existence. Like she KNEW something.
She didn’t know anything.
With Isabelle gone, it was much easier for Courtney to paint on a smile and be the perfect daughter, the perfect student, the little angel that everyone wanted her to be. And over the next few years, the sharp pain Courtney felt every time she thought about the older girl faded into a dull ache, a small, insignificant scar on her psyche that she barely remembered, a part of who she was without ever thinking about it.
Although occasionally, the kissing lessons did come in handy.
