Did you finish the S2 of the Total Drama Reboot (all the eps are out already) ? I did and while the season started strong the ending flopped badly imo.
Incoming spoilers (and long rant) if you haven't watched it yet:
The winner is not it I'm sorry. Wayne is a cool character but he had zero stand outs moments to justify his win. They tried to recreate Owen's win in Island but at least Owen was really strong in some challenges (including destroying the main villain Heather in the final 3 challenge). Wayne literally flopped hard in almost all of the challenges this season and then got hard carried by his best friend's boyfriend in the final 3 for his win. Also I don't understand how he got so many enthusiastic supporters when Raj and Bowie were the only characters he interacted with from that group, especially cause he didn't even need them as Bowie literally did almost all the work for him by himself.
Julia dominated this season but it felt hollow, she quite literally had no opposition left after she got Bowie booted off. Imagine if Heather got booted in the middle point of World Tour and Alejandro just freely dominated his way into a final 3 with the likes of DJ and Cody (which he somehow would've still lost just to have one of the good guys win). That's pretty much how I felt about the final 3 from this season. Mkulia (and their cheating conflict with Bowraj) did carry the first half, so I'm gonna give them that.
Priyaleb literally got turned into a Skave 2.0 with their flip floppity mess drama just without the "Keith" plot point at the end to bomb out their relationship completely. They turned Priya into a Courtney knock-off who's more obsessed with revenge and winning (even tho she already won a season) than her own boyfriend. She even seems to despise Caleb's personality and is only in love with the idea of having a hot boyfriend (just like Courtney seemed in love with the thrill of being with a bad boy than Duncan himself and we know how that relationship ended up). Honestly if they bring up this couple for another season they're def gonna have a huge messy break up, I just don't see them lasting with the way they've been portrayed in these last S2 eps.
Ngl but I actually enjoyed Ripaxel, even tho they were just the gross comedic relief side couple. Surprisingly Ripper treated Axel like a Queen (unlike Caleb who just kept embarrassing his girl over and over on international tv) and Axel stopped abusing him completely after they started dating, so they're unironically one of the healthiest TDI couples so far. And even tho they're the horny couple at least Ripper really does seem to have genuine feelings for her unlike Priya for Caleb.
And I really hated the Hockey Bros flanderization this season. Last season they were dumb himbos but they were still very competent in the team challenges, heck arguably the best overall from their team. But this season they literally got turned into man children who probably wouldn't be able to cross the street without Bowie around to take them by their hands. Which literally didn't make sense at all when this season was supposed to focus more on them than the last one.
They really had Millie go crazy in that one ep and almost kill Damien just to win a challenge, but honestly I kinda dig that. Her team was so boring that they needed at least one (secretly) unhinged member.
Bowie was clearly weaker as a character this season but he still served. Scary Girl was technically in only 2 episodes and you know she still SERVED. I didn't really care about the other characters this season tbf.
So overall it might still not be the worst season (I mean All Stars and Pahkitew still exist) but season 1 of the Reboot was def superior imo. While I'm not opposed to at least some of this cast coming back in a future season I really hope they create a new cast beforehand if they get the greenlight for new seasons cause they're already exhausting all the plotlines for this one and some of them already started to become flanderized. At the very least they should add new characters and change the location to shake things up if they still want to go ahead with this cast.
So Yes, I did finish Season 2
And much like season 1 I found it mid. I think Season 1 ended stronger, but started pretty weak. While Season 2 was the reverse
I did think it had a promising start, I even liked how Priya and Kaleb were set up for the drama. But after the reveal it kind of... fizzled out. Like they could have milked the drama more and Priya had a right to want revenge but Priya was never such a super angry revenge person before and it felt weird.
They turned Caleb into a complete idiot after they resolved the arc. He was smart, just not game show savvy. That was his thing.
I wouldnt call it anywhere CLOSE to the atrocity that was Skave. But it was a lot less fun. At least Priya calmed down at the end.
But the moment the season went down hill for me was when Damien got eliminated.
I really felt they were setting him up for something good in the character arc department but they didnt. I knew he was doomed the moment he found the immunity idol but it would have been a nice inversion to have HIM use it.
And lets be real, I didnt care about the final 3 at all, I knew Julia wasnt going to win because lets face it she is basically Diet Heather.
They even did something to her hair like Heather.
As for Wayne winning. I didnt care, it was going to be him or Caleb.
Season 2 could have used more Scary Girl. Every scene she was in was gold.
I also appreciated the tasteful cameos of Owen. MacArthur and the Tennis pros.
It wasnt anything awful, but i did find it fizzled out in the later half.

what about ranking... the seasons? from island to all stars (its dorks hi
hi!!
okay, so my number one switches up a lot but right now i’m gonna say island? these past few months i’ve been really feeling the duncney and gwent nostalgia for some reason. also it’s the most consistent characterization the og cast gets, so... also, there’s just all the little friendship moments? and teenagers being teenagers? that’s one of the best parts of the show.
number two is world tour. i love world tour, the music is great (with like. two exceptions). also alejandro is there and heather’s arc gets a satisfying conclusion. i’m aware she’s in all stars, but, while her character wasn’t completely flanderized like certain other characters, she didn’t really uh. do anything. anyway yeah world tour is Heather Season and a musical, what did u expect.
okay number three is definitely roti. i don’t think i ever watched through roti fully until this year, and i was pretty harsh on it the first time i watched, but it’s actually really good? the characters are funny and engaging (for the most part. im looking at u, staci). i mean, scott’s literally my third favorite character, and uh. it’s not because of his characterization in all stars, i’ll tell u that. on top of that, dakota, dawn, anne maria, lightning, brick, and jo are some of my absolute favorite characters in canon, and i love a lot of fanon interpretations of both mike and zoey. i like sam, b, and cameron well enough, and the only real dud is the first boot. i feel like the final two was underwhelming (cameron did not deserve to be there), there was a little too much focus on mike and zoey, and a lot of interesting characters were early boots. and don’t even get me started on dakotazoid smh. but overall, i really enjoy roti.
now here’s where i get negative. this is tough, but i’m probably going to put action in fourth? sure, action absolutely screwed over trent’s character. it pretty much ruined duncney (or at the least, set it off in a bad direction). beth definitely did not deserve to be a finalist, and lindsay DEFINITELY DID deserve it. and to top it off, tyler wasn’t even in this season smh. however, nowhere else did we get a storyline of heather trying to cut off a small piece of courtney’s hair to make a wig. like, she wasn’t going for all of her hair but she wanted to make a wig out of a small piece of it? and courtney somehow wasn’t going to notice?? and uh. heather ur being recorded. even if somehow courtney didn’t notice her hair suddenly on ur head, and neither did anybody else... this is going on television. heather. what. anyway yeah there’s also some really good friendships in this season, for example, there’s the heather/leshawna friendship that world tour threw away for some reason. also lindsay had some amazing moments, which i love. so yeah, there’s some redeemable bits.
finally, all stars. this is kind of a given based on how much i’ve been harping on it. while action, and to an extent, world tour and roti dropped some major balls, all stars dropped literally all of them. i mean, the only good things that happened in all stars were completely undermined later on (for example, gwen and courtney’s friendship). there was literally no storyline that was genuinely good imo. it was all mediocre at best. the characterization of some of my favorite characters (courtney, scott) was super inconsistent. sam was in the season for some reason, and all i remember was i think he got hit in the head, and he got shot with leeches. lindsay got elimated first, and honestly? good for her. that season didn’t deserve her. alejandro got a new va who was just. not as good, and noticeably so. heather, like i said, didn’t get ruined per se, but like. why was she there? what did she do? gwen and duncan were just uh. hm. like, whiney? idk a better way to describe it. i don’t really like cameron or sierra too much, and their whole storyline was just. weird. lightning and jo were alright, but early boots. zoey was less interesting than she was in roti, although her interactions with gwen were admittedly good. okay wait this is the one redeemable quality of all stars. anyway the most heinous thing of all is obviously the whole mal/reset button debacle, because that was just outright offensive. also, i remember watching this as it came out and thinking that all of the characters in the fart balloons had literally died and it freaked me out so much that i made a wikia account called something like “they’re-not-dead” and argued with people on there, and i also hate that i typed that entire sentence.
anyway yeah! this was very long and took me a while. like i said earlier... i am indeed caffeinated! i sincerely apologize for this post!
ask game: put five characters/episodes/shows/ships/anything in my ask and i'll put them in my order of preference.

I originally typed these for this post i saw in the tag but they got long so i pasted them as their own separate post
1. Race wise? Definitely courtney and alejandro. Mostly biased because when i was little courtney meant a whole deal to me. I never really saw many characters that i could point out and go like "hey she kinda looks like me!" So seeing courtney was a big moment in my childhood. Alejandro because well? I'm peruvian too and i'm 100% sure that he is as well. In south america soccer is a huge deal, besides places in peru that serve guinea pig as food and i remember he mentiones having eaten guinea pig. Altho i feel like fresh does try to have characters that look different from each other and try to emulate real teenagers. Theyre all diverse. I'm glad at least they dont make ALL their characters look like wet wonderbread and make an effort to put diversity and be inclusive of other races.
2. Despite all this, td can also be pretty racist. I think it had chris in like yellow face in tdwt. Ofc it could be that fresh wasnt too informed on the subject. They dont seem to be informed on a lot, its as if a different company worked on 6teen. Also when it comes to neurodivergence or lgbt representation, in my own personal opinion, i feel fresh does a shit job at it. So i'm gonna say neither of these have been represented accordingly.
Fresh mentioned they wouldnt have gay characters because "gay ppl are controversial" or something like that back in 2015 when they were in shock to hear so many ppl hc'd noah as gay. Basically all moments of noah cuddling up to cody and justin were practically jokes like "haha what a gay cuddling up to boys"
There's also the infamous duncan transphobic line in tda.
Regarding mental illness, trent mike and dave exist. While i would also like to count izzy, sometimes i consider her like a scene kid thats just on their "xD RANDOM!!!" phase. However izzy is described very negatively by her teammates throwing out words like "ps*cho" and "crazy" in a negative way when talking about her. So theres that.
Trent was shown to have signs of OCD in tda. Which unfortunately ended up being played up as a joke and unfortunately the whole fanbase has flanderized him to the number 9 and constantly making jokes about it despite it being a coping mechanism for him. A lot of how he coped w his own anxiety was used for laughs and his teammates thinking he's weird. Like it was stereotypically overdone for the sake of a joke and it's so sad bc thats the only development he ever got.
We all know about the mike issue. There's a lot that people have learned since mike fiasco 2013, but let me address some things that are still damaging or potentially damaging. Again i could be wrong since while i am nd i dont have DID myself. A lot of it mostly roots from tdas having mike have an "eeEEeeeviL!!" personality, kind of like how Split the movie did. Also a huge issue being the whole reset button to "rid of his mental illness to have a normal life w his gf and a happy ending uwu" like. People w mental illness cant be happy unless they rid of their mental illnesses ? It kinda sends a really. Negative message from fresh on their views of mental illness. Altho idk if i'm making too much sense. A lot of mike arguments are outdated and a lot of nd people have spoken in favor of mike and heped others understand more, however i do believe the button is the one thing everyone can agree on. It was bad.
With dave i cant really say much bc i barely remember tdpi but i know he had germophobia and had an anxiety attack on set when he was covered in filth. I think thats the only time i can say fresh handled neurodivergency in a realistic matter, however i dont think more is explored on that? We know he hates getting filthy but the most u see his character do is just talk about sky and constantly bugging her to date him despite her not wanting to. I havent watched tdpi in so long that i dont really remember anything else besides the one panic attack he had so from my poor memory to me it's like they just. Threw it away in favor of turning him into brony friendzony yfeel? Most of the time he spent crying over sky.
So yeah i don't really think fresh and td handle neurodivergent and lgbt representation very well. Every hint that a character could be gay was made for laughs as fresh confirmed they wouldnt actually show a gay character on the show bc they think the gays are controversial, and every nd character they've had is mocked and talked negatively on for their mental illness or had it completely erradicated in order to be given a happy ending.
This got long and i hope my answers don't sound rude or anything like, i dont wanna start 5 year old discourse lol. Like yeah i'm glad their characters at least arent all white kids but. There's so much more that could be done better or could've been done better yfeel?

Good things about Total Drama All Stars
I’m kinda bummed that Total Drama Daycare is happening, I was hoping it was a joke by the producers. Oh well I just hope it won’t be as bad as other CN reboots, cause I don’t want to deal with another season of people ranting how bad it is, just like when Total Drama All Stars came out.
Actually its funny as I remember how much people hated TDAS but now I bet if TDD is bad those people will find TDAS mildly ok when compared to TDD. In fact when I look back, there were some really good moments in TDAS, for those who don’t agree and think TDAS was a bad as the Emoji movie, here is a list of things I, and possibly others, liked about it. Spoiler warning for those who haven’t seen it yet.
Having 1st and 2nd gen characters competing against one another- When TDROI came out, fans of the show liked the possibility of the new characters competing with/against the older characters, and though the season wasn’t as good as people thought it was going to be, this was at least a good start for what I hope will be the first of many seasons where characters from all seasons can compete against one another. Hopefully they’ll still do a season with all 3 gen of characters and maybe some from ridonculous race compete.
Return of favorite characters- Another good thing about All Stars that people liked that was that it brought back not only fan favorite characters from the 1st and 2nd gen that were likely to participate but characters that people thought would never compete anytime soon like Alejandro, Sierra, and Sam to name a few (especially Sam for me since due to Total Drama Daycare his voice actor’s no longer a part of the series, so having him appear in All Stars was a good choice after all).
This was good cause fans finally got to see the return of characters they wanted to see for years, especially for those who wanted the return of the old characters from season 3.
The end of the Courtney hates Gwen subplot- Though TDWT is considered the best season of the series so far, you have to admit it had its flaws, like DJ’s animal curse and Team Victory losing nearly every challenge at the beginning of the season to name a few. To me one of them was the whole Courtney/Gwen/Duncan love triangle storyline and how it brought tension between Courtney and Gwen.
Though I admit it was a good way to introduce drama to the series, I was a bit annoyed by it cause not only was the season already annoying having the 2 girls and Heather always arguing on the show, but it happened when the 2 were starting to become acquaintances (which I hoped would end the constant fighting a bit) and it also cause Gwen to suffer a bit, which happens too much on the series in my opinion. It was also annoying to see that even after TDWT whenever Courtney and Gwen were together in something, the creator would most likely make Courtney a revenge seeking nut job, which ironically never really happened in All Stars.
Luckily though, All Stars finally brought that storyline to an end, and hopefully they won’t do it again with the roles reversed in a future season, cause not only do I see Gwen not holding a grudge like that for long (except when it comes to Heather) but if she did she would just be as bad as Courtney, which really isn’t her character.
Duncan knowing Mike/Mal- Though it was short it was interesting to find out that someone knew another player before they signed up for the show that weren’t either related or already friends. Personally I hope they do this again in the future either with new or current characters, one idea that comes to mind are a guy that goes to same school as one of the older contestants but both don’t know much about each other before they competed with/against one another, maybe becoming friends in the process.
Courtney’s downfall- Personally I hate Courtney. Ever since her elimination in TDI, her bossy, self centered, and antagonistic personality has been flanderized to the point that she is just as a bitch as Heather, Jo, and Amy, and even back before her elimination there were signs of her being like this.
That’s why I liked how after all she has done on the show, she gets what she truly deserves in All Stars especially in the episode “Sundae Muddy Sundae”.  Say what you might, that episode is good to watch if you hate Courtney.
Mal - Though hated by a lot of people, I was pretty intrigued by the character for multiple reasons.
Some small reasons was that not only was it interesting to see the writers use a good guy as a “bad guy” of the season, but it was interesting to find out that Mal was actually hinted at a season before, something they did a lot before and during season 4. Another intriguing thing about him was that Mal’s personality was a lot like Heather from TDI and Alejandro from TDWT as he was just as manipulative as both of them (which a lot of people liked) but a bit better as unlike the other villains of the series up to that point, Mal was actually evil to the core and actually tries to do evil things to people, like murder, which also brought a new kind of drama to the show.
Plus you have to admit, If Mal didn’t exist, the season‘s title of main antagonist would have probably changed so much (due to most of the characters having had this title in previous seasons) that it could have made the viewers confuse on who the real villain of the season was suppose to be, plus a bit boring since most of the villains on the show had enough time as antagonist during the series, and that’s just as bad as having no main antagonist at all.
Aleheather confirmed- Though I’m not a big fan of the ship, I still thought it was a nice touch for this season to finally make it canon, especially during the finale.
Sinking of Camp Wawanakwa- Another thing that people hated as Wawanakwa was where the show started and now its gone forever, but I personally see this as a bittersweet thing cause not only does this symbolize the renewal of a better future for total drama (at least before TDD came out), but as a sign that the writers could have the cast compete in a different area, which we did with Pahkitew Island, which if you recall is an island that can change its landscape which I find better then Wawanakwa, cause an island that can have an unlimited amount of backgrounds sounds better then a place with a limited amount. Plus I bet if the writers wanted to, they could make Pahkitew change into an identical replica of Wawanakwa.
But these are just my personal favorite moments from All Stars, what moments in TDAS did you like ?
