DBH Hogwarts AU

I saw a post of connor as Slytherin and i 100% agree with that, so i just had to put everyone in there rightful house.

Ships: Connor x Markus

Slytherin

• Connor ~ like i said connor would definitely be a slytherin. and i don’t want to hear “no i think he’d be a gryfindor or he’d be a ravenclaw bc-“ no your wrong i’m right. (/hj)

- Conner looks all sweet and nice but would kick ur ass when u least suspect it.

- Not to mention the fact that he lies and uses his words in a very particular way to get what he what’s when he needs it. (not saying all Slytherin’s lie. I am one so not trying to come at my fellow Slytherins or anything)

- I like to think that in this AU Hank is the headmaster and that Connor is his son. (Biologically) Connor def pull that “Well i could just go tell my dad” card just to fuck with people.

• Kara ~ I feel like a lot of people would think Kara is a Hufflepuff but i actually feel like Alice would be The Hufflepuff (Alice would be Kara’s little sister in this AU) and Kara would be a Slytherin.

- Like Alice would be like “Come on Kara let’s just help them” or “No lets not do that it’s bad Kara” But then Kara just be like “stfu” and do it anyway. (kinda like what she dose in the game depending on what you chose.

- But even is Kara isn’t a Hufflepuff i feel like she would be a healer type witch and really love potions.

- She’d wouldn’t be a prefect (bc u know she be getting in trouble for stupid shit) but would be really respected and all the 1st year Slytherins would look up to her.

Slytherin (Side character Edition)

Chloe ~ She gives prefect Slytherin vibes.

Kamski ~ Do i even need to explain that one?

Gavin ~ He’s that type of Slytherin that try’s to act all tough and be all scary but in reality he’s just a softy. He’d never admit it though.

Gryffindor

• Hank ~ He may be a grumpy grumpy old man in his 50s now but oh boy he was the Definition of Gryffindor back in his day.

- Like i said he’s the Headmaster of hogwarts and he has a very love hate relationship with his job.

- Dose not give a shit that Connor is in Slytherin House. That’s his son, he’s not gonna care what house he’s in. No matter what he will love him.

- Will pull Connor out of class to ask him stupid questions. Like he will have Connor thinking he in trouble but in reality hank just wants to know what shirt he should wear to the school council next meeting.

• Markus ~ He is the head seeker for the Gryffindor team. Just has that golden boy vibe too him. (oh yeah btw Carl would be his dad in this AU but he’s just adopted)

- (remember how i said the ship in this was Connor x Markus. yeah that comes into play now) Markus can get any girl he wants he’s mister popular and everyone loves him.

- But he is absolutely head over heals for Connor and no one knows it expect himself. He fell so god dam hard and for the headmasters son out of all people.

- He’d look for him when he’s playing games sometimes getting distracted. One time he even fell off his broom.

Gryffindor (Side Character edition)

North ~ She has that classic chaotic Gryffindor feel to her.

Simon ~ That one Chill Gryffindor that’s high all the time.

Ralph ~ Would have way to much school spirt and everyone would think he’s wired. But in reality he just wants a friend and maybe a hug.

Leo ~ (Don’t get me wrong i hate Leo as much as the next person but in this AU he’s Markus brother so yk) Would be all upset about how his stupid adopted brother is the popular one and not him.

Ravenclaw

(no more main character left expect for Alice so Ravenclaw just gets bullet points. i’m sorry 😕. )

Lucy ~ Would be The head teacher of Ravenclaw and would teach Astronomy and be a sub for potions.

Luther ~ He’s a big teddy bear Ravenclaw. Like any classic Ravenclaw he’d always have his head in a book and a big passion for learning.

Carl ~ was a chaotic and mysterious ravenclaw/ wizard in his school days.

Perkins ~ this ass would be a Ravenclaw and we all know it.

Daniel ~ Don’t ask me why he just is.

Hufflepuff

Alice ~ Like i said before she’s just a scared little Hufflepuff clinging too her sister. (Her and Kara would live alone in a small apartment btw. No Todd in this AU.

- Would be a 1st year while Markus, Kara, and Connor would be in year 6.

- If she doesn’t have class would probably go looking for Kara but Kara would have too push he out of nest so she could make her own friends.

-Stright A’s and would probably be a Perfect when she got older. (I can also picture her being a teacher at Hogwarts when she’s older.)

Huffelpuff (Side Character edition)

Josh ~ Your gonna look at me and tell me he’s not a Huffelpuff? Yeah that’s what i thought.

Jerry ~ Would bake all the 1st years cookie on the 1st day of school.

The revolution is at it's height, and Connor has Markus cornered; but Markus can see a humanity in the deviant hunter that he might not even know he has.

“Is that really all you got?” 

Connor took a step forward towards his rival as Markus stumbled back into the streets. The deviant hunter knew his objective; take Markus in, activated. Cyberlife wanted to study him, they wanted to know what made him deviate from his original programming. And if he had to be honest with himself, he was wondering so as well.

Why him?

Why a housemaid android designed to help an old, dying man?

Why was he the leader of this revolution?

Markus regained his footing, having already sent the orders to Jericho to get as far away from the area as possible. He knew Connor was after him, in particular. He saw that sheen over his artificial eyes, the one that told his prey that he was locked onto his target. Yet…he didn’t seem ready to kill. 

“I think you overestimate me,” Markus bragged, quite humbly and sarcastically, with the understanding that this fight had gone on for quite some time, and if anything, Markus was only humoring it to buy his friends time to escape. He kept walking backwards, trying to lure Connor in the opposite direction of Jericho; keeping his people safe was all that mattered. If he had to die here, so be it. 

Before Markus could quip again, his shirt collar was grabbed by the android hunting him down. There’s a split second in the encounter, where Markus sees that sheen over his eyes fade, Connor’s steadfast expression nearly falls. 

What was that? Regret?

Markus notices that pause. 

Unlike the others, he’s seen Connor hesitate on his actions up close and personal. He sees those glimpses of who Connor might be, who he has the potential to be…

If only he’d let himself be that man.

“You don’t want to do this, Connor.”

“I don’t want anything.”

“That’s a lie, and you know it-”

Markus grabbed Connor’s wrist, trying to get him to let go, feeling the grip loosen just a little bit. Connor was fighting something that Markus could never understand, and he knew that. Still, he took the opportunity that the window of potential regret opened and twisted Connor’s arm, finally getting away and getting the upper hand. 

He could tell Connor was faltering. Maybe he’s thinking too hard, or maybe he’s not thinking at all, but Markus assumes it’s the former.

Markus finally gets a hold of his stance again, seeing Connor’s discarded gun that he disarmed from him earlier in their debacle. It appears Connor spots it at the same time as well. 

In a chase, they both rush for it, Markus grabbing hold of it first, causing Connor to go on the defensive. That is, until Markus puts the barrel of the gun to his own chin. 

This, needless to say, confused the hunter.

“Markus-..”

“You want me alive, right?” Markus stated, calling Connor’s bluff completely. “If I die here, you fail your mission. Someone new will just take my place.” His martyrdom showed through, just a little too much. 

Connor was stuck in a loop of repeating code, one side telling him to ensure he delivered Markus fully functional and operating, yet the other telling him not to let Markus, who was already backing away at this point, escape. 

Markus could tell he was buffering. He’d confused him. “We’ll see each other again, won’t we?” He asked. 

Connor couldn’t do anything but stand there, trying to decide his way out of this. Trying to get out of this loop that he’s in. Walking backwards.

A sign to Markus; I’m letting you go.

 Markus put the gun down.

Placing it on the pavement and kicking it over to Connor, eyes stern yet full of trust as he steps away and turns his back to walk off

Trusting that Connor wouldn’t take the opportunity to shoot him in the back.

RIGHT, WHAT’S ALL THIS THEN?

For the entire month of July, we are hosting an open event dedicated to RK1K, the ship between Connor and Markus from Detroit: Become Human.

Rather than a week long event with a prompt for each day, RK1K Month will be separated into four weeks, with each week having a group of prompts under a broad theme.

The longer timespan for the event and the open setup of the prompts will allow for more creators to participate without the stress of sticking to daily or weekly deadlines.

RK1K Month encourages creative interpretation, meaning each prompt can be used as a standalone idea, or they could be combined and mix/matched with other prompts from the same week to create a fan work.

HOW RK1K MONTH WORKS

During each week, creators are encouraged to use one or several of the prompts to make a fan work for RK1K Month.

There's no time limit per day or per week, so participants can join in for any prompt, any time. 

RK1K Month will be separated into four weeks, and each week has a group of prompts under a broad theme.

Every prompt is open to interpretation as individual ideas or for creators to choose multiple prompts to combine into one fan work.

RULES AND GUIDELINES

RK1K Month is an event for RK1K (Connor/Markus), so only RK1K works or works with RK1K as the main focus are allowed for this event.

Other/background ships are allowed, however they cannot interfere with the main pairing. 

Example: background ships like Kara x Luther are allowed.
