I'm so excited to announce my upcoming chaptered series. This is another series that will be beta-read by my dear @welcometostayingawake.

Summary:

This isn't the first nightmare you've had, of course not, but it's the most vivid, and the most terrifying. You're awake, lying on a wrought iron bed staring up at a dark and dingy ceiling. The humming of a fluorescent light is buzzing overhead. You're terrified, and unsure of where you are. When you sit up, and take note of your surroundings, you feel a sense of dread, pain, and suffering.

The door won't budge, no matter how hard you tug on it. There's nothing you can do to get out. Then he shows up, bringing with him a sense of relief, comfort, and calm. You know that he can wake you up, that he can rid you of your nightmares. All it takes is one little blue pill, and you're in paradise.

The Penguin isn't mentally ill. He figured Arkham would be easier than prison, so he bribed a couple of psychiatrists to get a fake diagnosis and a "cushy" sentence under mental health watch.

Turns out Arkham is actually worse than prison. But Arkham got rid of the blatantly corrupt doctors Cobblepot bribed, and the new ones are too incompetent to recognize that Cobblepot is just a crook with a weird fashion sense.

[I love Club Asylum and Club Confession in VTM. They're very reminiscent of 90s/early 2000s Goth Clubs. Down to the atmosphere, music, and even patrons smoking outside.... it's just perfect. Part of my love of VTMB stems from the way they so perfectly pinged the Goth subculture on so many levels.]

I love having a mental break, flat out cracked moment, fucked up as hell- and then having to snap out of it not even ten minutes in because my mom is outside having a bigger, more dangerous cracked moment and my sister is screaming in fear

Anyone else remember The Asylum Fan Club? $96 for life. I joined it because I wanted early access to VIP tickets because I loved those VIP sessions and that exclusive merch. She ended it before she ever went on tour again (and hasn't gone on tour since). I was also one of the people who was supposed to get the book first at a VIP event but didn't get it until after other people bought it off the website. She's always been flaky with merch.
