City of Mist is a tabletop I'm currently running (swapping it and my dnd game each arc) for my friends.

I'm trying to sleep but all I can think about is city of mist so I wanna talk about it lmao

City of Mist, in case you don't know, is basically jojo's bizzare tabletop. You have your Mythos, which grants you powers and functions like your spirit. It can be anything really but it's usually a Mythical being, cryptid, or concept. You then have your Logos, which is your real life self and occupation; like a daycare worker or something.

The fun part of city of mist is being able to make the coolest characters imaginable. I'm gonna list a few of my favorites I've made for this campaign, don't worry my players that might read this there are no spoilers

Harvard, a religious crime boss who works out of a Megachurch. His Mythos is the Biblical Leviathan. He was basically a massive whale man that was tough as nails.

Remington, a gym rat man who is a good friend to the party. His Mythos is Sarah Winchester. He can summon a gun with infinite ammo, but he's a shit shot and barely uses it. He still hasn't revealed his second power to the party, but the players are aware it's basically "yer going to the backrooms kiddo"

Eyes. She is the Avatar of Nightmares. She was once a woman named Millie, but the personification of Nightmares overtook her. She has been successfully romanced by a party member lmao

"Cookie," the party's boss and a mysterious man who's incredibly good at hiding his real identity. His Mythos is Hansel and Gretel. He's my favorite twink in the house

Veronica. She's a thug and her Mythos is the Big Bad Wolf. She can disguise as anyone. She's hot as fuck bro I need to have her show up more

I'm really excited for the "Local Legends" expansion book for City of Mist! I love getting to see new characters and finally be able to get all the different districts in one bundle (I was thankfully made aware of the book before its Kickstarter launch so I didn't end up buying each district individually). 8 one-shots in one book!!

It should also help me develop my own cases in the hypothetical scenario I can ever find a group to run it for. So many ideas, no way to execute :'(

City of mist post part 2 because one of my players reblogged with a good point that I missed the best character in the game

Romeo. Hes a high schooler. His Mythos is Juliet. Juliet the Mythos has no romantic interest in him, but is determined for him to get a girlfriend because hes a loser lmao

He is obsessed with romance and has a magical rose that tells him if people are soulmates. It has not worked for him yet. He can also play dead whenever he wants and people believe it!

Romeo shows up in every session as a running gag. His theme song is the song Cbat from the meme a while back, because him and his friends had a boom box and before they knew who he was I let another player pick the song

A player just hired him to work at his bakery for his first job! So now I have to make him Story relevant

Another fun npc is the mother in law of one of the players. Her name is Deliza and she's got the Mythos of Artio. She is super tall and has bear claws, and has the power to detect when her loved ones are hurt. She has terrified Johann, said player, when they first met post Johann becoming a rift.

Last one I'll talk about is Codename Birch, one of the main allies of the party. Her Mythos is Krampus. She has the power to induce fear in people with her magical chains, and she has a huge burlap sack she can put things in. She was kind of a quiet gal to the party at first but they had a Christmas party with her family and now she loves them all.

So the City of Mist Discord has 4700 users, about 1500 of which might be active at any one time.

Despite this, there's only one (1) advertised game on Roll20, as far as I can find with my pretty liberal constraints/requirements in scheduling.

Somehow, despite putting myself out there as a player looking for a game, I don't expect to get any offers to join a game within a week. Just a feeling.
