Valentine’s Day Victuuri Collab

The #wwvvalentinesdaycollab Masterpost

To celebrate the discord server of WeWriteVictuuri (and also to see how successful it would be to host events there, in case of a tumblr breakdown), last December the WWV admins decided to organise a server-wide collab project. Every member of the server could participate, whether they were a contributor to the WWV blog at the time or not.

The goal was to give people an opportunity to work on a pressure-free collaborative piece together with somebody randomly assigned to them and to get to know another YOI fan a little bit more in the process.

A box of magic chocolates arrives in the mail. Each one transports the eater back to any moment of their choosing. Yuuri quickly finds that correcting the past moments he's less than proud of doesn't quite work out as envisioned.

#3 - confectionately yours (ao3)

As for Mr. Katsuki’s fancy, many dared say they’d managed to capture it only to find him equally courteous and kind with someone else. It was his felicity then that he need not know how many hearts he’d unknowingly won, for surely such an understanding would only drive him further into his solitude. He had come to England to further instruct himself in his trade, and having done so and wishing to see if his instruction held, was quite happy spending his days working and his company to his customers.

It was natural, he supposed, given that he too was a working man, to find more of a kindred heart amongst those who knew what hard work was like and so, in his complacency and natural realm of comfort, it was only to be expected that sooner or later, he might find himself with a suitable match.

A match that would come, even if Yuuri wasn’t exactly looking for a match to begin with, and even if, the man in question was not exactly all that he appeared to be at first glance.

One moment he was in his apartment in the middle of a blackout. In the next, he’s lying on the ground, soft grass caressing his skin as he stared up at a bright grey sky.

With a groan, he sat up rubbing his head as he willed the ache to go away.

This was not how he was supposed to spend Valentine’s day.

The story in which missing pieces are found, dogs are well loved, and love goes all around.

#6 - Souls Unleashed (ao3)

Trying to determine what, exactly, having a particular kind of familiar means about your soul or personality is nigh-on-impossible — cultures around the world have failed to come to any sort of consensus over the course of millennia — but if there’s one thing everyone agrees on, it’s that having matching familiars is something along the lines of being soulmates.

So, spotting another poodle for the first time in his twenty-seven years of life has to mean something, doesn’t it? At least, that’s what Viktor thinks.

Coolest Cirrha

@cirrha‘s impressive action-oriented work is always full of dynamic movement and bursting from the page. Whether it’s moody black and white or a shock of bright colors, her work is always just plain cool.

So how do they decide on color?

I like to pick colors that pop out. My pieces tend to lean more on looking saturated when I color 😅. I guess I'm most comfortable with black/white because all I did was sketch before going digital but I'm trying to break out of that (and learn!) 

And color isn’t the only thing that makes the art so engaging. There always seems to be more to know.

I definitely make up stories of whatever I draw. Even if it's something as simple as a character standing, to me, they're looking at another character off the screen. Kinda like capturing a moment in time 😆. But the scene plays out in my head as I draw it, over and over again.

Check Cirrha out and feel infinitely cooler for it :O
