Happy Art Monday!

Hands have always intrigued me.

Capturing hands in art is both challenging and rewarding. A simple gesture, a tender touch, can convey a myriad of emotions – that's precisely what I aim to portray when I draw them.

This piece is part of a series delving into hand studies. Rather than mere exercises, I chose to illustrate various characters from the game 'Andromeda Six', revealing their connections to the main characters across my multiple playthroughs.

'Us' captures a moment suspended in time, where the interlocking of two hands tells a story of love, connection, and a delicate balance between humanity and technology. In this evocative artwork, Rina's hand, with her ethereal blue skin, delicately clasps Bash's hand, bearing the marks of hard work and devotion, against the backdrop of a sealed steel door.

Bash, a skilled space mechanic/engineer, possesses a bionic arm—a testament to his technical expertise, strength, and resilience—while his remaining human hand bears witness to his vulnerability and connection to his humanity. Standing beside him is Rina, the tilaari, whose touch and presence anchor him in the warmth and essence of what it means to be human.

The subtle details of the clean skin on their connecting index fingers signify their profound bond, transcending technological barriers and embracing the fragility and depth of their emotional connection. 'Us' captures a moment of contemplation, where Bash questions the cost of fully adopting bionic prosthetics, while Rina, through her presence, reminds him of the intangible treasures found in the embrace of humanity.

This artwork is a visual poem, inviting viewers to meditate on the complexities of love, the intertwining of human emotions with technological advancements, and the eternal essence of connection in a vast and ever-expanding cosmos.

But above all, touch, fundamental to our humanity, is the theme of this drawing.

The new Superman content (and specifically the Jor-El speaking Kryptonian thing that's so meaningful to me) is making me go feral in the most autistic of ways. I crave A Connection. Combined with her close friendship with the Seer of Time, who foretold of their sessions inevitable failure, Porrim was frustrated by the fruitless attempts of her peers to win the game. The Witch of Blood tried temper Porrim in what would be a doomed moirallegience. She also had a previous flushed relationship with the Sylph of Rage, but she was disillusioned by the Sylph's attempts to win the game.

Having just finished Andreja's personal quest, I have never wanted to hug a Bethesda companion so much, not since Cait confessed to still loving her parents even after they did such monstrous things to her.

On the other hand, finishing her quest means:

Auras & Abilities: Bing

Aura:

Bing’s aura is the same yellow-orange the (old) Bing logo. It becomes visible first with sparks that fly from his frame like a warning to back off. Those sparks are then replaced by long tendrils of electricity that can lash out at surrounding machines. This aura can become dangerous if he’s within range of other machines, and can also deal a nasty shock if it touches someone else. Aura never safe to the touch, so he has to be careful to keep it reigned in.

Abilities:

--Robotic Reflexes: His body is made of thousands of tiny servos and intricate framework to copy the skeletal and muscle structures of a human body. He's meant to be an improvement on humanity, so can move with a lot of speed and agility.

--Artificial Intelligence: If the information can be found by searching Bing, then he knows it. He may not know it right off the top of his head, but can do a quick mental-search for it.

--Emotionless: Unlike the Googles, Bing can turn his emotions off completely, or choose certain ones to deactivate or prioritize. He can actually make his processing speed faster than the Googles' by doing this, because he doesn't have the emotions to slow it as they do, even if it's only slightly. He'll turn them off if he needs to work on something important, but prefers to have them on.

--Malware: By pulsing his aura, he can plant viruses in nearby systems. The Googles go into automatic shutdown if they get hit by it, their systems needing to activate antivirus software; if Anti gets hit by it, he can't take a physical form for hours and is forced to drift as static. If he gets too angry and doesn't turn his anger off, sparks of malware-infected aura are likely to start sparking from his body.

man i'm still thinking abt a post some folks were poking fun at in a discord

& it was like. an argument over whether or not people wanting to shape surgical scars (in this case w top surgery scarring specifically) was reductive or like. bad ig yknow. bc it's scarring from surgery & so on and so forth

& like. in my personal opinion. do whatever you want forever and ever. i'm planning on getting a tattoo that uses my back surgery scar as a centerpiece (specifically i do not want the scar covered and the more the tattoo sort of emphasizes it the better)

like. scarring is going to be a byproduct of surgery, and surgery sucks. i don't see the issue with a patient going "yknow what would be cool. if i could have a scar that looks like a stylized lightning bolt" so that they can have something they enjoy out of the whole thing

(also please bear with me if some of the wording in this isn't the clearest, i just took cough syrup and it is. the heavy duty kind)
