Torturing myself with thoughts of Durge potentially having a very unintended experience the first time she goes on that little weave date with Gale.
.
What if she intends to kiss him in the weave, but her fractured mind conjures up the image of Gortash instead after she pulls away.
It's who she really wants, she just doesn't remember.
Gale is none the wiser, until the weave slips away to reveal a panicked Durge...
Trying to explain what she saw?
Trying to brush it off?
Who is that man burned into what's left of her brain matter? Who was he to her that the weave would pull him forth when she made the decision to pursue Gale?
And laying eyes on him again for real, at Moonrise...
Maybe she finds the Prayer for Forgiveness, and her hands are shaking as she reads, knowing that she penned this.
To her father.
Her God.
To Bhaal.
Scelaritas's words suddenly make sense.
"He would forget his god for you, but you won't for him. Of that I know."
She did forget her god once, it seems.
For Gortash.
After that, she goes to Wyrm's Rock to meet him alone, because she has one burning, inescapable question.
"Who are you to me?"

If Tsu'tey had lived, how do you think he'd feel about Spider?
On one hand, Spider human and the son of Quaritch but on the other hand, you can't deny he has the heart and soul of a true Na'vi.
Also I can see Spider, especially as a little kid, hero-worshipping Tsu'tey. Even if Tsu'tey doesn't like the human boy, you can't tell me he wouldn't enjoy the attention, especially if Spider snubs the great Toruk Makto to hear about one of Tsu'tey's stories.
its definitely a chaotic mix of "jake get you fucking kid away from me", "jake if you don't stop neglecting your kid I'm gonna fucking take him", and "jake your kid is literally fucking cooler then you"
like the kid is definitely not his favorite person in the world, but he is still a child, a child that will kiss the floor he walks on. he is also a gift from eywa, it doesn't take a tsahik to see that, it's clear as day. so tsu'tey can't bring himself to actually hate him, he's too young and innocent to be deserving of that sort of treatment.
and it rubs him the wrong way how he's treated like he's less than some animal, cause even the animals are treated better than him at times, and he'd give jake some serious shit for that.
plus, this kid fucking loves him, always wants to be around him, and actually admires him, more than other kids in a way tsu'tey can't really put a finger on. he can't help but like the kid a little, enough to show him the ropes of life, and pat him on the back every once and a while.
its like a reluctant caretaker in the way that he'll like, make sure he doesn't die and isn't completely emotionally fucked, and they just kinda keep that vibe even when spiders 16. they 'hate' each other, but there's a mutual understanding that if spider needs anything, he can go to tsu'tey.

Cursory verdicts on the two premiere eps:
Space Babies: Aside from one wholly unnecessary political line of dialogue I thought this was decent. Yeah, the entire premise with talking babies is silly and it can be hard to look past that, but Doctor Who has a way of making you care about things that should sound completely stupid, so I was still on board. I thought the Doctor and Ruby both had good material, individually and together. There were definitely aspects that were an obvious rehashing of The End of the World, but if this is supposed to be a starting point for the show for some people then I get why.
The Devil’s Chord: Very much not a fan of the Maestro character generally but thankfully it didn’t make the rest of it any less entertaining imo. There was some good fun and some interesting drama. Ncuti and Millie are both very good at selling intense emotion as well as joy. Most importantly, THE SUSAN REFERENCE!!! Hearing him talk about living in Totter’s Lane with her at that moment in time made me nearly tear up, thinking about One and Susan just existing right out there, so close by and at the start of it all. (Idk if they should already be there, I believe Susan said that ‘these past 5 months’ were the happiest of her life, unless she’s referring to how long she’s been at Coal Hill if they have a very early start to the school year, but oh well). Am I crazy for thinking this may be an early tease for her returning? She’s been brought up before but never in this capacity of the Doctor wondering what may have happened to her. It feels like it could lead to seeing what did happen to her in the time since, and I just remembered that a heavily cloaked figure roughly Carole’s height was once spotted on set being rushed into a vehicle before anyone could see anything — could it be…? 👀 Now I’m thinking maybe “the one who waits” could use her as a hostage to manipulate and torture the Doctor.
Also, love the cameos from June Hudson and Murray Gold, and THIS perfect shoutout:
Bit giant to still call an Easter egg but if you don’t happen to know the one single line of dialogue it’s from then it means absolutely nothing. I was very very happy to see that.

Considering I find little to no comfort in religion, I find a ridiculous amount of comfort in hymns performed by the choirs of Kings College and Vienna Sangerknaben. I don't know what that says about me.
