 Okay. This may not be seen by lots of people but I have a writing prompt or idea I wanna know if anyone likes it! 

It’s about a 16 year old girl who had just lost her parents and is all alone.. She now only has her neighbors who come by the house to check up on her...The problem with this is that no one knows there dead...Why? Why did the neighbors have to tell her to stop yelling for help?! No one was ever there (Neighbors be like grrr)

 This story is based off a kids nursery rhyme and children story called, “The Boy who cried ‘Wolf!’” Familiar?

A Little Opossum

✥﹤┈┈┈Memory 1 ┈┈┈┈﹥✥

Once upon a time there lived a Little Opossum. She was a cheerful little thing. She lived in a cottage at the edge of the forest with her parents and grandmother. She enjoyed baking, knitting and taking care of the peonies in her mother's garden. She loved freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, listening to the old tales her grammaw would tell her before bed and most of all...

She loved to roam around the forest near her house during the day.

One day she came across a big, scary looking Lion! The Lion was roaring softly in pain. “Aargh… grrr…. Ahhghh” The Lion was terribly troubled.

The Little Opossum thought to herself, “Honestly this doesn’t concern me at all. I should just move along.” But the Lion’s cries only grew more and more persistent, if not more pathetic. “Oh how horrible this all is! I, the mighty Mr. Lion, am brought down to this trembling mess all because of a little thorn!”

Little Opossum's ears twitched! A thorn? Surely now this is something she could help with. Throwing all caution to the wind, Little Opossum walked straight up to Mr. Lion and said, “Oh, Mr. Lion! I can be of help! Let me remove that thorn for you!”

Mr. Lion glared down at the ugly, smelly creature before him, ”Oh? You’re approaching me? How would you be able to help, garbage rat?”

“Actually it’s Little Opossum! But my parents and grammaw call me Lil!” exclaimed the excited Little Opossum, after all, it isn’t everyday she gets to be of help willingly!

“Right, well, I think I mustn't trouble a little… thing… such as yourself, you see, it isn’t much of a problem at all. I’m completely fine.” Mr. Lion then further proved his statement by simply standing up and limping away.

Little Opossum was rightfully miffed. She hurried after him. “Mr. Lion! You are clearly not alright. Please let me help you!”

Mr. Lion stopped and glared down at Little Opossum with a distinct scorn. “Listen here and listen well, you filthy creature. I would rather take help from ✁✃✁✃✁✃✁✃✁ than from the likes of you. Now get away from me before I tear your little empty head from your useless body. ”

Little Opossum stopped in her tracks and let Mr. Lion limp away. Dejected and clearly hurt, Little Opossum sat down for a moment. How could she forget? There was a reason her family lived away from all the other animals. She shook her little head, clearing away all those bad, sad thoughts that began to cloud her mind. “No!” exclaimed Little Opossum, “Today will be a good day!” With this she continued on her forest exploring adventure.

The Fox and the Crow by Jean de la Fontaine read by Fontaine Le Renard. This is a first in hopefully a continuous series where M. Renard reads the different fables of Fontaine. This is our first attempt at anything like this so obviously there is room for improvement. Also this us originally recorded April 23, so that is why there is a mention of Shakespeare's birthday.  They are fun stories often with great lessons and insight into human and social nature. It also helps me with my French :)
