when did he realise he wants to marry you?

ajax realised when you came over to see his family for the second time. the way his siblings rushed over to greet you, each of them stumbling around because they want to be the first one to hug you, your bright yet gentle smile as you squeezed each of them tightly and peppered their faces with kisses — it all sent the most electrifying butterflies to his stomach. seeing the way you handle his energetic siblings and the way his parents have clearly welcomed you in as part of the family, it really made him think “i want to be with you forever.”

he’s a fearsome fatui harbinger, do you really think something as special and important like this will easily slip out? yes, absolutely. he cannot for the love of the tsaritsa herself shut the fuck up. he’s obviously already talked to your family and some friends of yours he knew he could trust but at this point everyone practically knows his plan with how much he’s been talking about you. honestly, speaking to yours and his family was his first step — he just wanted to make sure he had their blessings!! (as cliche as that sounds). with how overly-nice and generous people have been to you, you were starting to garner suspicions however tartaglia always has his special ways of distracting you~

꒰ TARTAGLIA’S PROPOSAL ꒱

you’ve just finished a lovely dinner with tartaglia’s family, his siblings were surrounding you two near a fireplace, the snezhnayan winter was being extremely unforgiving that particular evening with snow pouring down onto the ground, creating a massive winter wonderland. “did you know, [name] took me around liyue harbour again!!” teucer jumped onto your lap holding his lil’ ruin guard ehem ‘cyclops’ plushie in his hand, his bright eyes shining with delight. “alright, alright now teucer, i’m sure ajax and [name] are very tired from their journey and don’t want you jumping around on them. why don’t we all take a nice little breather outside?“ tartaglia’s mom intervenes, gesturing to the rack of coats.

snezhnayan winters were absolutely breathtaking, despite the snow engulfing you in cold, the pure sight of the kids playing and building their cute lil’ snowmen was enough to warm you inside and out. of course ajax didn’t get the atmosphere as he decided to come up and put his cold ass hands on your cheeks. “ajax!!! you absolute bi-“ you squealed as a shiver went down your spine. honestly you couldn’t get angry at him with the way his smile and laughter made you completely forget yourself. however, that didn’t make you want revenge any less. therefore !! you decided to start a harmless snowball fight with him.

while you and tartaglia were having a not-so friendly snowball fight, tonia finds a way to sneak up behind you and tug on your coat for attention and so, being the sweet person you are, you looked down at her… which ended up with you getting hit in the face with a snowball and ajax laughing it off by giving you small kisses. “sorry [name], uhm i just wanted to show you our snowmen! we just finished (｡･ω･｡)” she smiled up at you. god you felt your heart absolutely explode that snowball meaning absolutely nothing to you at that moment. taking her hand into yours she leads you to the place her and her siblings built the snowmen.

and who would’ve thought the little angels built the snowmen to resemble you and ajax <3 they had a small pebble heart around it with some local snezhnayan flowers scattered about and … some carving in the snow which read “turn around :)” as you did, your eyes instantly brimmed with heated tears. ajax was down on one knee, a beautiful ring imbedded with the finest jade in one hand while his other one reached out for yours.

“i love you with my entire heart and i wish to spend my entire life with you, [name], will you marry me?”

VENTI — 温迪

when did they realise they want to marry you?

better question: when did he NOT think about marrying you? it’s impossible to pinpoint just a specific moment where he thought about putting a ring on your finger. everyday he’s latched onto you like a personal heating pack whether that’s just him holding your hand, kissing you, hugging you etc he always has some part of him touching you. therefore, one of the more prominent times where he thinks of marrying you is when his heart actively yearns for you during the times you’re apart from one another. they do say “absence makes the heart grow fonder” and well venti takes that to the extreme.

venti is an ancient beloved god, he has absolutely no problem keeping his plan a secret from you! well, perhaps he can keep it from you verbally, ehem minus the few minor slip ups, he does make it quite obvious at times when he starts playing with your hands more often or stops frequenting the tavern to “focus on something more important” - his words not mine. he definitely tries his best, and to be fair he absolutely succeeds given with how loud and talkative he is you’d think he’d let it out eventually however, he wants this to be a complete surprise :)

꒰ VENTI’S PROPOSAL ꒱

the unfortunate ending of the weinlesefest was drawing nearer, yet the abundant love - platonic, familial and romantic - was filling the air with a sweetened fragrance. or perhaps that was just the scent of your boyfriend who had downed a couple bottles of diluc’s finest wine earlier that day. either way, your heart was brimming with everlasting joy.

venti held your waist with one hand, while his other hand rested on the top of your head to push you ever so closely. starsnatch cliff was the perfect place to wind down at , nothing but the tender autumn breeze and the silent brushing of the grass against you while you stared up at the glowing sky. although the day seemed to be perfect, you suddenly remembered that venti looked somewhat worried all day - consistently looking nervous and pondering over things that you couldn’t quite decipher.

you gently pushed yourself off venti and he gave you a perplexed look, “what’s the matter, windblume?” you just took him by his hands and told him to take a few deep breaths and appreciate the scenery. “venven, you looked so stressed the entire day, whats been on your mind?” he took a small step back from you and averted his gaze, subconsciously starting to fiddle with his braid.

taking a final deep breath, he looks you in the eyes cups your cheek and gives you a gentle smile. “mh, guess theres nothing i can hide from you is there, my warrior?” he takes his hands into yours.

“you know that i love you more than words can describe, you’ve changed my heart and life for the better and whenever im without you it feels like i've lost a part of myself. i’ve seen your kindness and your strength, as well as your fears and sorrows. you are the love of my life, i cannot imagine a life without you. i could tell you i can’t love you more than i do now, but i know tomorrow i will even more. my heart sings a song that’s only for you to hear.”

while hot tears brim at the corners of your eyes and spill out slowly, venti gets down on one knee and reaches into one of his pockets - your free hand flew to your agape mouth in an instant. “[name], windblume, my love, my shining star, will you marry me?”

EULA — 优菈

when did she realise she wants to marry you?

probably the first time she ever allowed herself to be vulnerable next to you. eula loves equivocation so unless you’re down to become a professional literature and language analyser , understanding her true intentions is rather difficult. but! that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have her moments where she allows her façade to be broken down, she’s human after all and everyone needs support once in a while. those few times where she simply rests on your shoulder, hugs you tightly and sheds a few tears with you whispering words of comfort — those are the times eula fully cherishes her love for you.

she’s a bit of a tricky one to decipher as on one hand i’d feel like she’d become so much more hyper-aware of people and of her surroundings and she’d absolutely refuse to talk about her plans to anyone except maybe amber while on the other hand, i feel like she’d have the attitude of “if you find out, you find out and that’s that.” eula does try her best to hide her intentions and though her attempts at stopping your suspicions are futile it’s cute to see her focus on something so intently.

꒰ EULA’S PROPOSAL ꒱

blanketed by a starlit sky at brightcrown canyon’s coast, cider lake glistening brightly and mirroring yours and eula’s forms as she swayed you to the melody of your hearts - a soothing lullaby as she called it - everything was all so mesmerising.

“i didn’t know the the leader of the reconnaissance company could be so romantic.” you giggled, she shook her head proceeding to give you a harmless glare that made you laugh once again. eula dipped you down with the grace of a true efficient professional , staring into your eyes with a sort of mischievous expression.

“i’m starting to think you say these things on purpose, my dear.” she gave you a light peck on the corner of your mouth, actively avoiding your lips to tease you. “eulaaaa..” you whine pulling yourself up closer to her. she only chuckles at your complaints and pulls you back up.

“come on my love, we can’t have the dinner getting cold can we?” taking you by the hand with a complaisant and gentle smile, eula leads you to a lavish and fragrant dinner in front of cider lake. like the classic gentlewoman she is she pulls out the chair to help you get seated. despite literal years of being together, her romantic etiquette has never failed to swoon you.

“it’s rare to see you with so much ebullience, love mind telling me what’s gotten you in such a good mood?” she simply hums in response and sits down opposite you. unbeknownst to you, eula’s mind was in total frenzy and while not being a woman of many words her face currently held more emotions than a sentence could handle.

eula cleared her throat, “[name],” her gaze flickered between you and the floor before finally settling on you, “i know it must get extremely draining having to constantly deal with me, but i am thankful each day that you’ve stuck with me and loved me.” you could see a prominent blush form on the tips of her ears. “my dearest, i can’t imagine what i would be like without you, i want to be there for you when no one else can, therefore,” she finally places her hand on the table revealing a silver ring with a jewel that matched the colour of your eyes, “will you marry me?”

K. KAZUHA — 枫原万叶

when did he realise he wants to marry you?

kazuha is innately a romantic, ask him this question and he’ll laugh it off and tell you that every passing second of his was spent thinking about being with you — and while that isn’t inaccurate, he definitely recalls this one memory where he felt his entire world slow down to appreciate you. of course, he’d never tell you it though!

once or twice he may have accidentally sent you the wrong letter where he specifically mentions his plans of proposing to you (all of which were meant to be sent to his mama beidou btw) but best believe he retrieved those letters as quick as he sent them. this is such a significant part in both of your lives were the ink in your chapters begin to spill into one another, where the string of fate tightens to emphasise your bond and, more simply, were your souls become one - he needs this to be absolutely perfect.

꒰ KAZUHA’S PROPOSAL ꒱

kazuha is a man of classical romance, i mean not only does he write endless haikus for you, send you letters while he’s out on a voyage (when it’s only been like a couple hours), he is also covered in maple leaves which themselves are woven in love — therefore it wasn’t much of a surprise when he asked you out on the third date of that week.

what was a surprise on the other hand, was the place he took you. it was the same place you two had first met, a lovely area that was abundant in peaceful joy and tranquility: amakane island. the night submerged the beautiful city of inazuma in a comforting silence with only the hums of the wind echoing in your ear. kazuha led you hand-in-hand to a small picnic he had prepared earlier that day.

from where you were sat you could clearly see the gorgeous stars scattering the glowing sky like lanterns. even when presented with such a view, kazuha’s eyes were still gently fixated on you. “you are absolutely breathtaking.” your cheeks heated up in embarrassment, how could he say such things so nonchalantly AND to your face at the same time? kazuha gives you a closed eyed smile and rested his head on his palm.

“you make me complete.” he looks at you with one eye open. in an attempt to recover from your flustered state you sigh and decide to sit back and enjoy kazuha’s delicate teasing and compliments. he begins fiddling with your hair, “without you i am not whole.” you closed your eyes as his calming voice lulled you.

“dove, please marry me.”

YOIMIYA — 宵宫

when did she realise she wants to marry you?

much like venti it’s practically impossible to narrow down one memory with you. some reoccurring moments have always made her ponder her future with you therefore, it’s not really a realisation more so a confirmation the person she wishes to spend her days with till old has to be you. memories she recalls that definitely emphasised her love for you all include you smiling. the knowledge she makes you just as happy as you make her is enough of a reason to put a ring on your finger. :)

listen she really tried her best to be more organised and seemingly unbothered by her internal disorder, she wanted to keep her plans a complete secret from you to serve as a cute surprise however… she was almost completely sure you heard like the majority of her plans with how much she had to yell instructions and ideas to her dad. none of that dimmed her enthusiasm though! no matter if you found out about her plans, she knew the actual proposal would still leave an impact in your heart.

꒰ YOIMIYA’S PROPOSAL ꒱

“yoiyoi…pleaseee we’ve been walking for ages! can’t we go sit down or something.” yoimiya continues dragging you past the bustling city of inazuma. you really don’t understand why she was so insistent on seeing the fireworks with so many people around, but you’re weak to her puppy eyes so you couldn’t refuse.

while the city itself was crowded with joyous laughter and sweet kids running around and causing headaches for their parents - the bridge was rather empty and calm. at last you both came to a stop. you hear yoimiya giggle ahead of you, swiftly twirling around to once again drag you to the bridges barrier. “this is the best place to watch the fireworks!” well you dare not doubt her claim.

yoimiya’s cheeriness was so infectious you didn’t even notice the corners of your mouth rising as you watched your lover gaze up at the stars of teyvat with such excitement. “yoi-“ she cut you off with a surprising kiss.

“look up, the show is starting soon!” her eyes shined brighter with every word, you couldn’t help but laugh at her silliness. in a mere number of seconds the sounds of fireworks could be heard from all over inazuma, the splashes of vibrant colour painting the sky in a loud yet melodic harmony. while the show seemed normal, your eyes caught sight of some bright kanji exploding into the sky rhythmically: 異体同心 [“two bodies, same heart.”]

albeit a bit vague, your heart was pounding into your chest and echoing in your ears as something in you begged you to turn around. as you did, all your emotions freed themselves. yoimiya was down on one knee, ring in one hand with the brightest grin adorning her face. “[name], will you marry me?”

KAEYA — 凯亚

when did he realise he wants to marry you?

when you truly felt like family to him. kaeya has been through a shit ton of travesties, things that still to this day keep him lying awake in cold sweat as his headache gets more intense. multiple people have left him, whether they perished in the cold hands of death or abandoned him callously he’s seen how cruel the game of life can be. he has clung to fate and blamed it when things refused to go his way — however, oddly enough he now praises fate for giving him a chance to meet you. waking up in the morning with you evokes such a gentle feeling of completion.

absolutely not! he’s so good at keeping his mouth shut and purposefully misdirecting people, and even you on the occasion, it’s to no surprise no words of his proposal comes out. that, and, he personally didn’t put that much thought into the whole ordeal. it’s not because he doesn’t appreciate you, it’s because he wants his words to just naturally flow out, he sees more sentimental value in things that are said in the moment (probably why he drinks so often even while being with you lol).

꒰ KAEYA’S PROPOSAL ꒱

“klee! please stop running around you’ll hurt yourself!” you catch her in your arms as the crayons in her hands proceed to fall onto the hardwood floor. she simply giggled and jumped up to hug you, you couldn’t help but sigh with a smile on your face as staying mad at her sweet face was pretty much impossible.

klee plopped herself down next to the messy piles of paper and the scattered crayons, picking up some specific colours to use for later. kaeya sat on the couch, resting his head on his palm, quietly enjoying the whole fiasco. he chuckles, “told you she’s a very energetic child.” ‘energetic’ might be a tad bit of an understatement. you join kaeya on the couch, nuzzling yourself into his side comfortably.

despite the massive headache you were forming from all the running around, the atmosphere stayed rather relaxed - getting to spend time with your boyfriend as well as klee made it feel like you were a lil’ family. with the warmth from kaeya lulling you with the addition of your prior fatigue, you were feeling rather drowsy but before your head could fall onto kaeya’s shoulder klee started tugging on both yours and his clothes. “come with me pretty please! i need a uhm reference! (∩_∩)” now, who could refuse that even while in a state of sleepiness ?

you all sat around a table, kaeya directly opposite you and klee sitting in the middle with her paper that she was suspiciously hiding from you. every few seconds she switched her gaze to look at you and then kaeya while scribbling in some details. she smacked her hands onto the table excitedly, “done!! mr kaeya can i show [name] now?” she gleams up at him. he gives her a gentle nod with his eye(s?) closed.

“look [name]!” she shoves her cute drawing your way expectantly, you could practically see a sunshine and rainbow form behind her as her childish wonder blinded you (in a good way of course).

the drawing itself was absolutely adorable: you and kaeya holding hands and klee looking endearingly menacing in the background was a perfect depiction of your relationship. what caught your attention was the text written above the rest of the drawing, at first it was hard to figure out (bless klee’s heart), but soon enough you managed to read it and with a grin you turned to kaeya, “what’s the question you have for me, mr kaeya?”

leaning over to you quietly, he says in his usual calm and frosty tone, “will you marry me ?”

K. AYATO — 神里绫人

when did he realise he wants to marry you?

immediately when he started absentmindedly acknowledging you as part of his family — whether that’s including you in familial outings with ayaka, or sharing embarrassing stories from childhood. he already treats you like you have the kamisato name, so why not make it official?

with how goddamn dramatic he is you’d think so however, with the aid of the entire yashiro commission (it was mostly just thoma, bless him..) he was able to keep any words of his proposal plans from spreading. he may be quiet about it while he’s planning, however when it’s all set in motion and he’s gotten your response you best believe every single person in teyvat is at least vaguely aware of your engagement.

꒰ AYATO’S PROPOSAL ꒱

ayato has been very secretive over the past few weeks, you were used to this behaviour with him working in the yashiro commission and with the shuumatsuban , but it’s like its been completely amplified. you weren’t even able to process any of these changes either since every time your suspicion grew, ayato would whisk you away for a date.

speaking of whisking you away, ayato had “randomly” decided to take you on a vacation to fontaine. to say the least, you were absolutely ecstatic!! the beautiful nation of fontaine, filled with endless waters and buoyant sea creatures seemed like a perfect contrast to the perpetually thundering inazuma and was exactly what you needed as a break.

while the journey itself was rather chaotic, arriving at your destination and taking a deep breath in of the morning air was gratifying. “ready for today, my love?” ayato gently took you by the hand, guiding you off the ship, with that phrase alone you knew you were in for a long yet fulfilling week.

and that you were — ayato planned out an entire few days worth of activities just for the two of you. most of them consisted of intimate time together which you did not mind the slightest. every day felt like a mere second, each touch and kiss felt like a fleeting moment that would disappear and before you knew it, the end of the week dawned upon you.

despite that, this absolutely wasn’t the end of the festivities as ayato had something very special planned for this particular night. after a time at the spa and some minor shopping trips, ayato had asked you to wear something formal - you obliged, albeit with a raised brow, nothing good usually comes with ayato telling you to ‘dress up’ (last time he forced you to come to a several hour private discussion within the yashiro commission..)

as soon as you finish getting ready, ayato gracefully placed a piece of silk on your eyes, “ayato what in the name of teyvat are you planning?” he simply chuckled in response and gave you a light peck on the corner of your mouth. “don’t worry, dear you’ll be fine just follow my lead.” with a nod of your head ayato proceeded to help you walk.

“honey, are we there yettt?” you groaned. the silk finally lifted and as your eyes adjusted to the sudden lights you were in utter awe, turning around to hug him in thanks, ayato finally broke his silence, “this isn’t even the best part my love.” you cock your head to the side in confusion, how is a private and secluded dinner in front of the starry sky NOT the best part?

“you already know how much i cherish you, how i would take down the sky for you, i’d gift you the stars if you asked. with this hand i vow to protect you until my dying breath, with this hand,” ayato pulls out a box from his sleeve getting the hint at what he’s about to say, salty tears begin piling up in the corner of your eyes, “i ask you to be mine, the light in my life, will you marry me?”

ZHONGLI — 钟离

when did he realise he wants to marry you?

it was quite a long process, he wanted to make sure he was worthy of you — a god accompanying a mortal throughout their entire lifespan is not only an extremely honourable thing, but it’s also a tragic circumstance. but alas when the world paused for a moment to allow him to think about both of your futures, he desperately yearned that he was still in yours. he doesn’t want to waste your time and energy, after all you only have so many years to spend with him, this is one way he could show you that he truly cares for you and loves you.

he’s old as shit and talks way too much so yeah. he didn’t necessarily try to even hide it from you, he just refrained from talking about it but occasionally it slipped past and well, he acted very nonchalant, not really seeing a massive deal in it, while you, on the other hand, were having a flustered breakdown. he does hope you forget about it so he gets to see the genuine excitement in your eyes when the time comes.

꒰ ZHONGLI’S PROPOSAL ꒱

the peak of guyun stone forest. the perfect place to reminisce on the old memories and rejoice the new ones you’ve made — which was exactly what zhongli took you here to do oddly enough. you were quite prone to his sudden outings, he’d always ask you if you’d like to join him and well you can never resist this man.

even with the chilly breeze of the mountains, with zhongli by your side you managed to find comfort in the winds flurry. “if i did anything in my life right, it was when i gave my heart to you.” god this man really choses the most random times to make your heart skip a beat. you gleam up at him with a jovial smile, leaning your head on his body to relax, he placed his hand on your waist to pull you closer.

“i love you, my dearest. the privilege of seeing you at your best and your worst, and the privilege of guiding you through those times when fate is rather cruel is something i withhold deep in my heart. the world in which we are born into intoxicates us with its glacial and vicious atmosphere, forcing us to claw at fate to beg for mercy. yet, the chest of a beloved so easily entraps you in comfort and a gentle feeling of softness in one’s heart. i wish nothing more than to be the person in your future that holds you close and shields you from the worlds most unsightly of occurrences.” at this point you were already in absolute tears, the fact he could go on such long tangents to explain his adoration for you was enough to sweep you off your feet.

“i want to be all your firsts and all your lasts, your everything until the end of time. will you—” you very abruptly say yes probably a million times over yet the archon continues, “—marry me? i promise you my beloved, no matter what things you face i will be there to aid you, i can’t promise to solve all your problems but i can certainly promise a future where you won’t ever have to go through anything on yo-“ you kissed him, putting a sweet and quick end to his long rant. was he going deaf due to old age? perhaps.

“zhongli, my beloved and my most dearest, i’ve already said yes!!”

SCARAMOUCHE — 斯卡拉姆齐

when did he realise he want to marry you?

you made him feel human, like he belonged. he felt a nonexistent heart beat a melodic tune, one that copied yours, perhaps because he knew no other rhythm or because his love for you surpassed his forged marionette. even on his road to godhood you were there, during his tragic downfall you were there; catching him in your arms, ignoring the incessant worried yells of the traveler. with months of constant nurturing and desperate tears that fled from your hopeful eyes, he was sure you’ve grown tired of him, you’d abandon him just like those before you. yet you didn’t, of course you didn’t. maybe that’s when he realised that in order to rid himself of an everlasting, dreadful reminiscence of the past, he’d have to replace those taunts with a tangible memory of your love.

he is able to keep anything from you — i mean you didn’t even find out you were ‘dating’ until one day he referred to you as his s/o and from that day forward it became your duty to positively annoy him with affection! the only person he probably turned to for help was his auntie nahida, but she wasn’t too much of help emotionally.. her words and plan definitely reassured one thing - a proposal should be surprising and heartfelt.

꒰ SCARA’S PROPOSAL ꒱

a glistening divine light beamed from the statue of the seven, illuminating scara’s anxious and pensive expression. “feeling alright, honey?” you touch his cheek, his eyes darting to yours in an instant. scara let out a discomforted sigh, “yes, i’m fine, let’s go.” he abruptly intertwines your hands together and leads you towards the verdant flowery path of vanarana.

while you were rather suspicious on the lack of aranara idling about, you were much more concentrated on enjoying this once in a lifetime moment — scaramouche taking the initiative and preparing a date. well, that IS what he called it, but you weren’t sure whether he was planning to bury you with the padisarahs or coddle you, because the distance you were walking was oddly alarming. ‘surely we must’ve passed many great spots by now..’ , yet kept your tight hold on his hand - having trust in him.

making a subconscious effort to avoid the pond of mossy water, you squeeze yourself closer to scara, he can only smile to himself. your eyes trailed along the bright flowers that sprouted from each patch of grass , keeping a mental note on every sumeru speciality in sight (listen that shits HARD to farm ..). scaramouche’s eyes dart around so fiercely you were almost convinced he’d pass out from dizziness. you were so entranced by scara’s beauty as well as conspicuously bizarre behaviour, you didn’t even realise he had come to an abrupt stop (impromptus you bumping into him ..). you let out a contented sigh, “are we th-“ — “no. not yet.” he interrupts as he nods at something afar.

after some final groans from you and begrudging steps, you had (hopefully) came to the place you were meant to — which ironically was the same place you started at. “scaramouche don’t tell me we did an entire circle around vanarana for no reason.” he shakes his head and rolls his eyes, “of course it’s not for no reason, you idiot” he murmurs.

he shifts to face you, “close your eyes.” it was best not to argue with him with questions of ‘why’. he took hold of your hand once more to guide you, albeit roughly, down to the middle of the vanarana pond. compared to the prior echoing silence, there was a lot of shuffling and some hushed giggles that were increasing in volume with every step. the water seeped into your garments but currently that was the least of your many worries…

“y-you can open your eyes now.” scara stammered, his head filling with excruciating heat - and you did so. your eyes widened in bewilderment.

“aiya, what’s goi-“

“marry me.” scara cuts in.

“SORRY-?” i mean you were going to guess that’s what was going on, considering the many aranaras gleefully surrounding you with flowers and or flower crowns in their tiny hands - as well as the not so hidden lesser lord kusanali with a ebullient smile spreading on her face - BUT YOU DIDN’T EXPECT IT SO SUDDENLY?

your silence was feeding scara’s fears, and so he does what he always does: gets grumpy. “are you going to keep staring at me while flies go in your mouth or are you going to answer me.” cue you pouncing on him with the most joyous laughter and tears, the melody of your happiness made him subtly smile.

“i love you so much.” you tightly hug his frail form, his head drops down to your shoulder so his answer muffles, “i…love you too.”

past his unsavoury words was a heart that beat for you, and only you.

i've always wanted to try making one of these types of posts, and since i didn't have anything easily ready to post this weekend, i figured i'd might as well give it a shot! ꒰ironically, getting the colors to work for all of the character's names was harder than writing everything.꒱ hope you enjoy! ໒꒰ྀི´ ˘ ` ꒱ྀི১

Gently. A soft touch that flutters over your knuckles, to the point where you’re left to question whether or not you’d even felt it, their lips pressing against your skin, lingering for a second or two before relocating to another part of your face. There’s no rush, in their mind, only this moment of intimacy between the both of you—only this shared moment where they’re allowed to bathe in your presence the same way you bathe in the sunlight’s warmth.

The rest of Teyvat is left forgotten as they reach for two teacups, arms loosely wrapped around your waist as they guide you to sit beside them, planting a kiss or two on your cheek as they pour a cup for the both of you. You’ll hold each other like this, sipping at your beverages as they inquire about your day—the stresses and responsibilities of theirs fading away in your closeness.

Hesitantly. Unversed in the concept of affection, they’ve yet to entirely adjust to the idea of being in a romantic partnership, the thought of being within one seemingly wholly outlandish before they’d met you. While you’re more than content to take the lead within your relationship, initiating physical affection and all the like, they can’t help but wish to do the same for you—keep you safe within their arms and show you just how grateful they are for your love.

This desire culminates in them walking up behind you, timidly wrapping their arms around you as they ask whether or not you’re comfortable within their hold. This initial experimentation begins with them holding you as though you’re made of glass, though they’ll slowly begin to warm up and become more confident over time. Although their fingers still nervously twitch as they hover over your skin, please don’t tease them too much. They’re trying their best.

Tenderly. They love you—they’re whipped for you, really—love teasing you for interrupting their work, conveniently ignoring the fact that it was ꒰truthfully꒱ beginning to drive them mad. They silently thank Celestia whenever you visit during the afternoon, squeezing yourself into their chair as the both of you share a meal, allowing their mind a much needed break from their duties—though you’d never know with the flirtatious taunts falling past their lips.

During the evening, your attempts to have them accompany you back to your shared home often result in you sitting atop their lap, leaning into their touch, and listening to their heartbeat as you wait for them to finish up just a few more papers and pack up for the night. Neither of you really even realize just how much time has passed before they’re finally ready to leave, too immersed within your conversation ꒰gossip, of which they hear a lot꒱ to pay attention to the ticking of the clock.

Beidou, Kaeya, Ayato, Childe, Heizou, Wriothesley, Yae Miko.

Possessively. There’s absolutely no contesting their grip once they pull you towards them, arms tightly wrapping around your form and leaving zero chance of escape. They’ll lean down towards you, burying their head in the crook of your neck as you’re held still, whispering against your skin that you’re left unable to decipher—though you suspect it's intentional.

Any semblance of space that existed between the both of you is wholly destroyed, bodies flush against each other and their arms pushing you even further into them—almost as if they’re attempting to fuse the both of you together. Their head turns towards you at some point, stars dancing about in their eyes as you catch sight of the small blush dusting their cheeks. Point it out, however, and they’ll be quick to break the embrace, pushing you away with remarkable speed and insisting that you were mistaken.

— aether holds you close, rubbing his cheek against yours in efforts of slowing your anxiety-ridden breaths down — he won't lie, he's pretty anxious for you as well; but he knows he has to keep his composure so as to not freak you out even more — whispers sweet, calming words into your ears and will tell you that everything is going to be okay

[albedo]

— given that he's not an actual human, albedo does a pretty good job of calming you down — brings you your favourite hot drink (with the right amount of milk/sugar that you love) plus a blanket so that you can curl up in his lap while he calms you down :3 — stays by your side the entire time while you cry :")

[arlecchino]

— slightly rough but when she sees you upset it is on SIGHT with the person who made you cry — will go batshit crazy. just for you — gives a very opinionated speech about how she would report this person who made you upset to the department head yadda yadda and it makes you smile

[ayaka]

— definitely freaks out a little bit but remembers what thoma does for her whenever she feels anxious — holds your hand and squeezes it gently to assure you that she's there for you — she listens a lot and doesn't talk. will let you spill out everything while she sits there and rubs the back of your hand

[ayato]

— keeps his composure and is somewhat like a steady rock — will make you your favourite hot drink!! he remembers the little things about you so the right amount of sugar and milk and water etc — brings tissues and a soft cloth to wipe the tears away from your face while he sits there and holds your hand

[beidou]

— she gets a bit more quiet because she hates seeing you upset like this — slightly murderous look in her eyes because she will obliterate the person who made you this upset — holds you in her arms the entire time she tries to calm you down — wipes away your tears with her thumb

[capitano]

— doesn't speak a lot, he's more of a listener — enjoys holding you in his arms :( the quiet comforter is good at that and his presence is generally very calming — also he knows the exact way you like your fav drink — will be out to murder the person who made you sad

[childe]

— hums a soft melody, the same way he used to calm down his siblings when they got upset. also kisses you a lot throughout — (except that you get a lot more cuddles than them. lol) — cooks you your comfort dish while putting it on your favourite plate with your favourite set of cutlery (the fork and spoon with the cute little whales on them)

[diluc]

— asks adelinde to make you a pot of tea <3 — plays a soothing melody on the piano in efforts to calm you down. he makes you straddle him facing away from the piano and lean against his shoulder — presses kisses to your forehead while you spill about everything that made you upset

[dottore]

— bit of an eccentric comforter but thats okay! — he enjoys telling you stories about his past research and it makes you smile a lot (the safer versions, i'm gna pretend he doesn't do anything sketchy just in case ppl @ me) — i honestly can see dottore as a cuddler i'm sorry to those who disagree. this one's for @cxlrosii #1 dottore lover

— she's.. not used to comforting you / other people so she's a little awkward — but she tries! she tends to just sit and listen while giving an extremely violent opinion about the other party to make you laugh — it works :) will bring a soft cloth to wipe away your tears as you sit on her lap

[ganyu]

— gets a little panicked but has to calm herself down before she can calm you down — brings tissues and small pieces of candy for you for eat bc she believes that its a better medicine ;) — also brings qingxins for you for some reason. 10/10 comforter tbh

[gorou]

— wraps you in this huge hug with his tail wagging and all!!!! super cute sight — he hates seeing you sad. will cuddle you on the spot even if other people are around — he lets you pet his ears longer than usual bc he knows it makes you happy :(

— i can't get the image of him straddling you while kissing you to make a smile appear on your face — wipes your tears away gently while telling you stories about the arataki gang getting into trouble — he might have thrown itto under the bus.. but oh well. heizou gives good cuddles okay

— 10/10 BEST COMFORTER. will beatbox your troubles away — also likes to throw you up into the air for some reason??? like you could be crying on the floor and be up in the air the next — he's very careful though and he's super sweet about it. brings you to eat your favourite food afterward <333 lets you win onikabuto fights

— sweet and comforting, just like her sister — you get a little worried bc you can see the stress etched on her face and you're def worried that you're burdening her but she very quickly catches on — you were not and never will be a burden to jean :( she loves you very very much

— comforter SUPREME. 10/10. i want to cry so he will hold me in his arms and tell me that everything is alright — sings your favourite song & also loves to cook you your favourite food while you cry about everything to him. lets you taste test — he does this little nodding thing each time you say something its very cute

— SINGS YOU LULLABIES <33333333 — also he wipes your tears away with his hand :") or his favourite cloth, the one with maple leaf print — cuddles you on his lap right there and then!!!! will run his fingers through your hair. gives headpats 25/8 and will gently affirm you that you are more than what upset you

— a little bit of a tough lover but thats just how she is :") — i honestly don't know too much about keqing but i love the idea of her taking a break from her work just to calm you down — gives good hugs!!!!!! they're sweet and gentle despite her slightly brash personality and always make you come back for more <3

Would they catch you?

maybe trying to jump into their arms while they hold something wasn’t the best of ideas

a/n: I always wanted to try something like this, so I decided to do a quick one to distract myself from how much stress school causes me atm.

also, these are my own headcannons for this type of scenario, if you disagree with any of those or have your own, feel free to write them down, since I love learning what others think of these characters that honestly kinda grew on me.

Anyway, hope you enjoy!

The moment they notice you sprinting into their direction, shouting for them to catch you, they drop or put away everything in their hands. Once you eventually are in their arms they are finally able to let out a sigh of relief, happy that they managed to catch you this easily, and who knows, maybe a chuckle or two escapes their mouth as well.

Ayaka, Albedo, Beidou, Childe, Heizou, Kaeya, Lisa, Aether, Shenhe, Yelan, Kazuha, Xinyan, Zhongli, Thoma

They yell at you not to try it only to quickly drop everything once you actually leap into the air, easily catching you as you giggle to yourself as you enjoy the feeling being held, even if you can expect a big lecture afterwards.

Candace, Cyno, Eula, Jean, Keqing, Kuki Shinobu, Ei, Xiao, Lumine, Noelle, Kokomi, Gorou

While they prepare themselves as best as they can, the sheer force of your leap, coupled with your run-up and their surprise causes them to tumble backwards, falling onto the ground with you still in their hands. But while they may have landed pretty heavily on their butt, they can’t help but laugh at the ridiculousness of what just happened.

Amber, Bennett, Venti, Yanfei, Xiangling

Sure, they could catch you, but they did warn you not to do something so stupid and it would be a shame to get that new mug they just bought destroyed by letting it shatter on the floor. And while they’ll make sure to make up for it, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to prepare for a sore behind coupled with a “I told you it was a bad idea” or even a smug.

Ayato, Faruzan, Mona, Rosaria, Sara, Scaramouche, Yae Miko, Ningguang

Panic sets in the moment they see you take off, and while they may try to catch you, it’s too late for them to lift their arms, causing you to crash into them before tumbling down together. Be sure to apologize a lot and to give them a much quicker heads-up next time… or don’t even try again to begin with.

scented bath bombs - childe, ayaka, heizou, kaveh,

they own an impressive collection of bath bombs of every scent, color and shape, all meticulously organised categorically by aesthetics and purpose. you’d think they’d treasure them like precious lost gems, locked away in some fancy glass cabinets, but you’d change your mind in a split second if you saw them in the bath.

it’ll start off with one, singular bath bomb. it dissolves and fizzes, seeping and mixing into the water around them. but we could up that a bit more. there is a whole box just in the cupboard…

soon the bathroom smells like one of those heavily perfumed candle shops.

personalized shampoo and conditioner - albedo, tighnari, eula, zhongli

their hair game is top tier!! it’s serious business to them, and hair products from local stores just don’t meet their sky-high standards. their the ones that order from those custom-made sites, and claim that their deluxe, personalized shampoo and conditioner is 100% worth half their income. whether it actually works or not, it doesn’t really matter because their hair is a thousand times more healthy and shiny than yours :(

fragrant soaps + body washes - diluc, alhaitham, ayato, yelan, wanderer, yae miko.

these people always smell good. and its not from heavy layers of perfume, cologne or body mists, their charming aroma stems from their immaculate taste in bath products.

though it may not look like it, these people are very knowledgeable when it comes to the best complimentary scents and combos. very often they’d mix and experiment around different types of soaps and consistencies, spending a concerning amount of time in the bathroom perfecting their concoctions. despite this, they do have a favourite signature scent. it might be something simple like lavender, or something unusual like sandalwood and aquarian rose. ??

exfoliating sugar scrubs - kaeya, kazuha, cyno, raiden ei, nilou,

the same type of people who enjoys consistent self-care. they know that sugar scrubs aren’t particularly essential in baths, potentially harmful if overused, but it sure heightens and makes the experience even more delightful and comforting. the have only a few of different fragrances, but they treasure and savour them like its their last. after all, baths for them are like an escape from responsibilities and expectations, a gateway to temporary tranquility.

it doesn’t last that long, but at least they have their sugar scrubs.

water - xiao, itto, mona.

it’s basic, but it does it’s job…to some extent. sure, sometimes it doesn’t mask some odor, but its nothing a few spritz of cheap body mist can’t hide! (minus xiao for this part) they don’t understand the point of expensive products. aren’t baths are just obligations to make sure your clean? you could be spending your money and time doing things much more important and useful.

…but they’d never say no to a paid appointment at the bathhouse!!

A Thief's Heart: Returning Stolen Hearts

Synopsis:

In the land of Teyvat, where adventure and friendship thrive, you find yourself entangled with the Traveler and the various heroes of Genshin Impact. You have a unique hobby - you enjoy "borrowing" items from the characters in the game, but your intention is always to return them, often with heartfelt notes attached.

Gn reader x some of the genshin men and women (separated)

(I lost count on how many people I am doing)

You mostly embark on a journey with them,on the way there, you would secretly take something from them, for example;their items.

Diluc would be confused at first before knowing that you have taken one of his belongings. As you continues to "borrow" items from Diluc, he can't help but chuckle at your audacity. He honestly think that it’s adorable but won’t say it out loud.

Kaeya might playfully tease you when he discovers your secret.

"Ah, so it seems we have a little mysterious thief among us. I must admit, your antics are quite entertaining."

When Childe finds out, he bursts into laughter, finding your actions both amusing and endearing.

"Haha, you've certainly caught my attention in the most unconventional way. I can't help but admire your spirit."

Venti, the bard, would probably respond with a whimsical comment like,

"Ah, stealing hearts as well as items, aren't you? Your mischievous charm is truly captivating."

Albedo might approach the situation with scientific curiosity.

"I find your actions quite intriguing. It's as if you're conducting a unique social experiment."

When Xiao first realizes that you have been taking and returning items from him, he might furrow his brows in confusion. After awhile you might see him crack a rare, small smile. (Please tease him)

Upon discovering your secret activities, Zhongli would approach the situation with a keen sense of curiosity. He might leave you a rare and exquisite Geo related artifacts out of admiration (he finds your joy of “borrowing” his things adorable)

Ayato, upon learning of your actions, takes it upon himself to investigate discreetly. He finds your behaviour cute and wonders about your motives .

When Alhaitham confronts you, his demeanor is measured, but he adds a soft touch of affection, saying,

"I must admit, I find your actions intriguing, and they've piqued my curiosity. Could you enlighten me about your motivations?"

Bennett would react with enthusiasm.He thinks that you're like a lucky charm and always returning what you take. Your positivity is contagious, and he can't help but admire your optimism.

Razor, while initially be confused, could express admiration with sincerity, saying,

"You not take. You return. Good friend. Razor likes."

Eula, though would be initially confused,but she will hide it by saying ��Vengeance will be mine” (yeah im sure we all know what she is going to say)

Yanfei, a skilled legal advisor, may initially see your actions as legally ambiguous. However, she's impressed by your commitment to balance and might offer legal advice to help to your continuous actions within Liyue's laws.

Ganyu, being a diligent worker, becomes curious when she notices your activities in Liyue. She quietly investigates, wondering about your motives.She finds it cute and adorable often smiling when she see you sneakily sneaking off with her stuff.

Yae Miko, always on the lookout for interesting stories, takes notice of your actions and becomes intrigued.She would probably tease you abit or so

it’s november 11th, aka pocky day! how will your lover react when you suggest a game of pocky!

a/n: had no one to play the pocky game with, so had to write about it T-T take it and enjoy it! (also. like lowkey. isn’t the pocky game a choking hazard)

you have to explain it to them at least six times until they understand what the game is: and for archons’ knows what reasons, they still don’t really get it when you pull out the box of pocky. they sit awkwardly next to you, holding your hand. they’re bashful as you look straight at them, eagerly chomping on your end. you’re the first to kiss them at the end, and while it didn’t go exactly as planned, you still found their fluster very cute.

they catch on pretty quickly with what you’re about to do. they’re kneeling next to you, keeping a level eye contact with you. they also aren’t averse to using underhanded tactics, like tickling your sides or leaving feather-light touches on your arm. at the end, they quickly leave a kiss on your lips before chewing on the rest of the stick. “wanna play again?” they ask, smiling innocently before holding up another stick.

they’re actually the one who brings it up first. as soon as you’re in position, they tilt your head up so that you have to look up at them. they’re all up in your lap, wrapping their arms around your neck. they never lose eye contact with you, probably having more passion than anyone else you’ve ever played the pocky game with. at the end, they swiftly delve into a fervent kiss with you. after they pull away, you’re the one left flustered. they only chuckle in response, discarding the box in favor of kissing you once more.

they don’t really see the point in doing it, but go along with it anyways. they’re probably the most normal about the game. they sit close to you, balance the pocky stick between their lips. they get a little closer, and a little closer, until both your lips eventually meet. you both pull away, dizzy in the head and heat on your cheeks heavily. you both confirm that it was, in fact, a draw.

absolute menace. they begin the game normally, before snapping the pocky in half accidentally. after seeing your pout, they continue to break off the pocky before you can kiss them. eventually, you have to put your hands on their cheeks and pull them in for a peck.

-the villain is kinda hot and is the only person Diluc hasn’t been able to just destroy and now they’re on his mind

HEIZOU

-similar dynamic except he’s forced to arrest a person falsely convicted of murder and he releases them but they just keep showing up.

-not necessarily in his house but when he’s buying stuff, they’re always nearby

-they just awkwardly wave and pretend it’s not like he’s stalking them

DAINSLEIF

-Dainsleif falls in love with the sweetest soul on earth like an absolute angel who happens to be a florist

-but he’s immortal and would put them in danger if they were to be together so he’s forced to distance himself and admire them from a distance

-but they have already fallen for him so he’s forced to protect them for the rest of their mortal life

EULA

-I’m imagining Eula loving someone simple

-they don’t have much going on in their life like maybe they’re just an ordinary baker who gets rude customers sometimes and likes to vent about them

-eula would settle down for a simple life with this person and be able to ignore her problems to listen about theirs

-I don’t imagine this being a complex love story. I imagine it to be a straight forward kinda story that’s just cute-

GANYU

-hear me out

-Ganyu falls in love with some kind of model or actor/actress who is super confident and seems above the world

-Ganyu doesn’t have that self confidence and is just kind of shy around this person. They, however, see Ganyu as just stunning

-they help Ganyu to gain self confidence and worship her

-just some kind of cute, fluffy dynamics

XIAO

-similiar kind of vibes as Dainsleif except I see Xiao being more vulnerable to someone who is also immortal and carries the same burdens as him

-this person is also kind. They don’t chase after Xiao like a rabid dog but were persistent enough to actually get Xiao to talk to them.

-he is able to talk to them about his problems and become vulnerable and they are able to slowly take down his walls.

-I’m thinking friends to lovers

ZHONGLI

-I can see Zhongli searching for some a person that is always there and he knows would never leave so I can’t see him liking a mortal

-I can’t see him having any kind of complex story

-I think it would be another friends to lovers except I can see it being someone he’d recently met that’s immortal rather than a long term friend

KAZUHA

-met at a party hosted by Beidou

-both got high together while everyone else mainly stayed away from the drugs

-woke up on top of each other on the floor, half undressed and limbs tangled

-he gets apologetic about it but keeps in touch with the person and they hang out more and more, especially with everyone else

-I can see some kind of friends with benefits thing happening

YELAN

-okay probably not gonna happen but

-ENEMIES TO LOVERS BARK BARK

-the person is a treasure hoarder that’s plotting against yelan and then yelan catches them and they’re like MOMMY?!

-like mf really expected a Karen with wrinkles and npc features but got the hottest gambler in liyue

THOMA

-just imagining someone who desperately needed help in inazuma like they got lost or don’t have enough mora for something

-then thoma just appears out of nowhere and saves them from trouble

-but this stuff keeps happening and Thoma is somehow always there

-and then they have to help thoma when his vision is almost yoinked

LISA

-bookshop. That’s all I have to say.

-Lisa finds a bookshop and picks out a book to read which the bookshop owner happens to love. Then they recommend a book that’s a lot better and happens to be their favourite

-Lisa goes back to talk about the books she’s recommended and they have really long conversations

-then they’re offered a job as library assistant and take it up part time while occasionally checking on the bookshop and doing small jobs there

-and then they slowly fall in love like just imagine one moment where Lisa and this person are on opposite sides of the bookshelf and their hands touch when they both reach for a book

-and then they share the book like that scene in DDLC

ROSARIA

-just imagining an absolute saint like someone who loves peace and order and can never do anything wrong and then just the complete opposite

-this person who’s constantly trying to be nice to Rosaria and then is constantly denied

-until the person snaps and has a breakdown in front of Rosaria, shouting at her

-Rosaria is just slowly hating this person less

-then Rosaria just kinda changes them

-they start hanging out and they start to just become straight unholy

CHILDE

-I’m thinking something like his story quest

-a complete stranger finds teucer wandering around alone and is concerned so they take him to liyue harbour where they find childe

-childe asks if they can take care of teucer and they say of course because they love taking care of children

-when teucer meets childe again he’s talking about how he wants to see them again

-when they next meet the person has been hired as a babysitter for childe. They take their youngest sister as well so teucer and her can play together

-it doesn’t take long for childe to fall in love

"Why would you like Mr. Zhongli? Don't you think I fit perfectly as your boyfriend or even husband?"

I see him sending you a lot of flowers and some cheesy pickup lines.

He never interested in love or falling in love once, every day he busied himself with experiments and theories so when it's come to this topic, he's hopeless. Part 6!

Genshin Impact x Child! God! Fem! Reader

This has passed the point of impulsiveness with the amount of effort it took to make myself write! But it's a silly idea for a cult au with a dubious level of proper SAGAU, and no hint of Imposter in sight.

Reader is referred to with she/her, and is set to be around the same age as Klee and the other small child characters. Not proof read! If you see any typos, no the fuck you don't.

Notes: I’m really bad at keeping myself in a writing habit. You know what "Favored" and "Auxiliary" mean, and now you'll see who all belongs in the two teams. Doing some exposition, gotta give that sweet sweet Y/n lore!

Warnings: religious themes, likely out of character moments, not much really happens, some kidnapping I guess, recovery from drugging, and stress.

Word count: 4,748

Painful throbbing and continuous swaying. Those are the sensations that slam into Kokomi as consciousness returns to her. Vision blurry as she tries to take in her surroundings, groaning wood walls all around her, a hammock beneath her, rocking with the motions of her surroundings.

"Oh, you're waking up now." A voice mutters, a combination of defeat and annoyance dripping from the woman's tone.

Kokomi's head throbs harder at the sound of the woman speaking, light shining through cracks in the wood ceiling assaulting her eyes. "What? Where?" Confusion drags her thoughts to a crawl, eyes slowly adjusting to the light enough to scan over the surroundings.

Leading her to find the amber gold gaze of the enemy general, glaring from where she lays on a hammock nearby. "We're stuck on that two-faced sailors ship."

"Ugh, right." Images of the mercenary captain she had hired returns to Kokomi, the way she had just walked into a trap and was dragged away by Kazuha and the Traveler.

The sound of wood scraping against wood pulls both women's attention to a head of blonde hair that comes barging in. Yoimiya freezing to stare at the pair, as if caught in the act of something unsavory.

"Oh uhh, you're both awake now?" The blonde mumbles, unsure when faced down with both warleaders now.

"Naganohara…" Sara sneers bitterly at the younger woman.

"Heh, still not getting up yet, General?" Yoimya asks, taking slow steps towards the tengu with her hands firmly on a basket, in the other woman's line of sight.

A short scoff, the great General Kujou laying limp in a hammock, gently swaying with the movement of the vessel around her. "No."

"Did they injure you so you wouldn't be able to get up?" Kokomi could not help but let concern into her tone as she speaks to the potentially maimed General.

"Only her pride, Lady Sangonomiya." Yoimiya snorts, quickly cut off with a yelp as Sara swings a rough sack of a pillow at the blonde's head.

"Don't go making jokes now, you're still a traitor to the Shogunate!" Sara snarls, amber eyes glaring over the edge of her hammock

"Well who isn't?" Kokomi meets the General's glare unflinching.

Any retort is cut off by the heavy door being pushed open again, and a red streaked head poking in. "Ah, thought I heard your voices." Kazuha muses, stepping further into the room as he looks over the two war leaders.

"Ah, well if it isn't the original traitor." Sara groans, flopping back into her hammock to ignore the man.

"Kazuha, what is the meaning of my abduction? What are we both doing here? Where are we going?" Kokomi asks, pushing herself up in her hammock.

The man hums for a moment, eyes scanning over the three women for a moment, "it would be better for the captain to answer that first question, my Lady. You're both here, because you're both needed. And we are on course to Liyue."

A beat of silence hangs heavy, the two women still in their hammocks stare down at the man in stunned silence. Realization of their predicaments hammering into their chests in an unspoken moment, with only the noise of the sea and howling wind.

The silence breaks over a cheery blonde's voice, "the Captain is up on the deck if you want to go ask her! I'm sure she'll be happy to see you both up and about as well!"

Hardly a beat of the waves goes by before the two Inazuman's are racing up to the top deck. Both struggle for only a moment to climb from their hammocks before stomping away to find the Captain, with renewed fury and indignation.

If Beidou is surprised at all by the sound of stomping feet echoing out from the hull, she does not show it. Instead standing relaxed as two angered Inazumans step out onto the deck for the first time since they had set out. Both wear expressions of fury as their gazes whirl to take in the surrounding horizon of empty sea.

"Where are we?" Sara seeths, her amber eyes burning hatefully into the captain before her.

A curt shrug is her first answer, "we passed through your Archon's storm yesterday, so we are well on our way to Liyue."

A second voice interrupts the General's retort "Please, Captain, you must turn this ship around and take me back to Watatsumi!" The shorter woman attempts to hide the bubbling anger, schooling her expression against the surrounding stares of her captor's crew.

"So, Miss Kokomi, you're a priest, right?" Beidou leans back against the mast of her ship, ignoring the glare both Inazuman women level at her for ignoring what had been said to her.

"I do not appreciate how casually you address me as my kidnapper," Kokomi huffs.

"She is the Divine Priestess of the Watatsumi Shrine, so yes in a way." Kazuha answers for her, having found a perch on a barrel near Beidou.

"My title doesn't matter right now. Turn this ship around and bring us back to Inazuma!" Kokomi lashes out, brows furrowed tightly together.

"Your war can wait, and with major leaders from both sides here on my ship, it likely will do just that." Beidou waves off her tone.

"People's lives are at stake!"

"We found the Creator." Beidou states plainly, throwing both the angered priestess and annoyed general off their trains of thought. "And as members of the Favored Auxiliary, you have an obligation to attend any related matters of importance."

The pair stand and stare, minds reeling at the news.

"Why wasn't a proper announcement made?" Sara asks, voice low and prodding.

Shrugging her shoulders, Beidou pulls a flask into her grip, "We're trying to keep it on the down low, limit the number of people aware, and avoid letting any of the Archons in on the news."

"You want to hide the Creator from the Archons?" Kokomi voices incredulously.

"What possible reason could you-" Sara starts.

"Her name is Y/n. If I had to guess she couldn't be any older than seven years old." Beidou drinks from her flask.

Sara lets out a small gasp, quickly covering her ears, "oh you did not just say the divine one's true name!" She glares, years of dedicated faith to the Shogun, and by extent the Creator, still coloring her thoughts.

"They're… she's only a child?" Kokomi whispers to herself, eyes moving to where Kazuha nods in additional confirmation.

"It's a little hard to believe isn't it?" Yoimiya pipes up from where she steps up onto the deck, her cheery tone unwavering in the pair's shocked reactions, "but the Captain wouldn't lie about something like this! After a whole year, the Creator finally reveals herself in the form of a child."

"That… isn't actually quite accurate, she didn't really reveal herself at all." Lumine cuts in, her words pulling the three Inazumans' attention. "According to Beidou, they actually found out Y/n was the Creator after mobilizing a small army to arrest her."

"You arrested the Creator?!" Sara looks like she had witnessed a horror, eyes wide with shock and voice wavering just enough to reveal the cracks in her facade.

Kokomi and Yoimiya look almost ready to faint at the additional news, Beidou takes the silence to fill in.

"She had the gold tears, and all. Appearing perfectly human except for that one little detail." Beidou traces down the side of her face like tear tracks for emphasis.

That catches the priestess' attention, "the Creator wasn't a human though… gold tears are an undeniable sign, but she lacked wings? Were her eyes not gold orbs? What about her tokens of oath?"

"Her tokens of what?" Beidou's eyebrow arcs up, confused at the last question.

Kokomi shakes her head exasperatedly, "honestly a Favored should know this." She takes a moment to draw a deep breath before continuing, "the Divine Creator is only the most common title of thei- hers. She was also once known as the God of Oaths, and to be granted a token of oath would mean that our reality in itself will become malleable, that it could be bent and reshaped in order for the oath taken to come to fruition. Normally these tokens take the form of white and gold feathers, some texts saying that they were plucked off her own wings."

Beidou nods along, tucking the new information away for 'just in case', "well, when we left Liyue I can say with certainty she didn't have any feathers on her."

"Do I have to wear this?" Y/n whines, squirming uncomfortably in the heavy cloak that had been draped around her shoulders.

Ningguang gives an apologetic smile, "only when you leave the chamber. It may not be safe for you to have those wings out in public."

Ganyu kneels beside Y/n, helping the girl to find a more comfortable way to let the cloak rest. "Miss Beidou will be back today, don't you want to see her at the docks?"

The small girl's attitude flips completely, excitement pushing her to hop on the balls of her feet, "yes!"

Ningguang can't help but consider how Ganyu looks at Y/n the way an older sister would look at her younger. The Adeptus moves from the cloak to instead wrap a small cloth eyepatch around the girl's head, "then you need to wear these until we get back to the chamber. Can you handle that?"

Y/n stills in her hopping long enough for Ganyu to tie the cloth around her head, "uh huh! I can do it!"

The door to Y/n's room opens with a secretary poking her head in, "Master Jean and Miss Eula are waiting outside, Ma'am."

Cool and sunny, a pleasant breeze blowing over the water, the perfect weather to make port. Beidou muses, eyes scanning over the sky line of Liyue harbor from where she lounges on her row boat. Crew members rowing from where the Alor is anchored in Guyun Stone Forest, all the way to the harbor docks.

"Ok, how about some last minute warnings?" Beidou's voice carries over the sound of lapping waves.

"For Liyue or for the Creator?" Sara groans, eyes piercing through the captain. The other Inazumans admire the distant view of the harbor.

"Both, I suppose," Beidou seats herself across from the group of other vision holders, "first of all, no matter what, don't ever call Y/n the Creator, just don't, doubly so if she's in ear shot as well."

"Why not? Is she not aware that she is the Creator?" Kokomi asks, her gaze sliding from rolling waves to Beidou.

"No, actually, she isn't." Lumine answers before the captain.

"Y/n is just a little kid! She doesn't need that kind of pressure on her!" Paimon adds on to explain.

"So the Creator herself is not aware that she is the Creator?" Yoimiya attempts to be clear.

"As far as I'm aware? Yea, pretty much." Beidou rambles, her gaze rolling between each person that sits in the boat with her.

"That's a rather vague answer," Sara pokes, no longer visibly seething at her surroundings, but still seeming annoyed with the entire situation.

"Y/n hasn't breathed a word about gods at all, far as I'm concerned. She never asked, we never told." Beidou shrugs, laying back as she turns in her seat to check the distance to the harbor.

"So you don't really know if she's aware." Kokomi states flatly.

"No, but I don't think that part really matters." Lumine defends, reaching a hand down to brush over the water's surface.

"If Y/n knows, then it might mean she's choosing to keep it to herself! Which makes our secret even more important!" Paimon chimes, somehow her floating managing to perfectly keep pace with the rowboat.

"I suppose I can see that logic. If she's aware then that means she's actively choosing to remain hidden. And if she isn't aware, then she's blissfully ignorant to her own power." Sara groans, frustration and annoyance clinging to her tone.

"Well, I for one am looking forward to learning what kind of kid she is, dang, I should have grabbed some sweets before we left!" Yoimiya's excitement spreads infectiously, even causing the high priestess to crack a smile at the thought.

The bustle of the Liyue docks was a constant, something one could always count on. No matter the time of year, how many boats actually moor in the harbor, or if business trends move in odd directions. The docks remain crowded.

Sailors and merchants roam back and forth as the small boat pulls closer to the pier, one crewman jumping up to quickly tie the boat in place, Beidou climbing out behind him and holding a hand out to help the rest up.

"Alright, here we are! I'm sure Ningguang sent someone to make sure we go straight to the Jade Chamber." She speaks, grunting between her words as she pulls person after person up onto the more solid ground.

Yoimiya quickly hops to scan the crowd, eyes gazing over the various travelers that wander seemingly aimlessly. "What would they look like?"

"If she sends Ganyu, look for blue hair and red horns, that's easiest way to spot her in a crowd." Beidou growls slightly as she pulls Sara up out of the boat.

"And if it isn't this, Ganyu?" Sara asks, joining Yoimiya in searching the crowd.

"Then they'll come to us, no reason to worry." Beidou pulls Kokomi out last, both Lumine and Kazuha climbing out with almost as little effort as Beidou had.

"I don't see her…" Kokomi mumbles, searching for any clue to what the captain had mentioned.

Beidou steps away from the edge of the dock, striding towards the crowd as the people split before her. "I told you, if she isn't here, then they'll find us-" her words are quickly cut off by movement in the corner of her eye.

A blur of cloth zips across the pier. Small and topped by a head of h/c hair.

"Beidou!" Y/n's voice cries out as the blur slams into the captain's legs.

"Ah! There you are, little rat!" Beidou laughs, bending down to quickly pull the girl up off the pier, tossing Y/n up into the air before catching and holding her on her hip.

"Oh! So who's this little bundle, Captain?" Yoimiya hops to Beidou's side, smiling wide at Y/n, who peers curiously back at the woman from her safe place in Beidou's hold.

Yoimiya can't help but freeze as her eyes meet the child's one exposed eye. Crushing pressure overtaking her chest as the warm and glittering connection she held dearly with the Creator suddenly feels as though a chain is being wrenched tight around her heart.

"Ah, right." Beidou cringes at the location, turning to face the three Inazuman's who she dragged to the harbor. "This is Y/n. Y/n, these are the new friends I told you I'd be bringing back." Beidou speaks gently to the girl, her soft expression going unnoticed by the three, who instead stare dumb founded at the shy little girl before them.

A small hand reaches out from the thick cloth in a small wave, the girl curling in on herself at being faced with the three staring strangers. Y/n lets out a small noise before growing shy again, turning away from the group to instead plant her face against Beidou's shoulder. The older woman laughs as she pats the small girl's back.

"She didn't run away at least, it must be getting easier for her to meet new people." Beidou explains, unwilling to try and force Y/n to talk more.

"Captain! Glad to see you made the journey safely." Jean's voice pierces the crowd as she takes long strides towards the newly arrived Favored.

"Jean!" Yoimiya calls out, quickly throwing her arms around the taller blonde.

"Woah! Easy there, Yoimiya." Jean lets a small chuckle slip through as she returns the embrace, quickly taking a step back and turning her attention to the others. "As I'm sure you can guess, Lady Ningguang is quite anxious to have you all in her office as soon as possible."

"But, can't we look around a little first?" Yoimiya pushes, using pleading eyes she learned from the kids she plays with.

Sara swoops in to save Jean, "there will be time for sightseeing after business is handled."

Slow steps echoe on the dock, a red horned head poking out from the crowd. Beidou walks out, offering a smile to the new guests, and stopping to let her gaze memorize the sight of Y/n wrapped up in Beidou's hold again. "If you would all please follow me, we can get this meeting started as soon as possible."

Ningguang sits at her desk, the picture of power. On her right side, Ganyu stands attentively, a clipboard and one at the ready if notes are needed. To her left, the Traveler Lumine waits patiently with Paimon floating beside her. And sitting in Ningguang's lap, Y/n is focused solely on her drawing, wings flapping slightly in their freedom from the confines of the heavy cloak.

"Acting Grandmaster Jean Gunnhildr, Captain Beidou, Miss Shenhe, Naganohara Yoimiya. Our four Favored of the Divine." Ningguang lists off, eyes moving between each person as she states their name, "General Kujou Sara, Yuheng Keqing, Lady Sangonomiya Kokomi, Reconnaissance Captain Eula Lawrence. Our four Auxiliary Favored of the Divine."

Each person standing in that office wears expressions of utter sincerity, each with their eyes trained on the child with white wings and a golden eye. On Y/n, sitting in Ningguang's lap, enamored by the doodles she's creating at the Tianquan's desk.

Ningguang nods down to the girl with her, "this is Y/n."

Hearing her name, the girl looks up from the paper that held her enthrallment, shrinking back upon seeing all the staring eyes pointed towards her. A brief flash of fear before quickly relaxing under one of Ningguang's hands resting on her head.

"Y/n, why don't you go outside with Qiqi and Klee?" Ningguang asks, pushing herself away from the desk.

"Okay!" Y/n chimes happily, hopping down with a small flutter of her wings. Starting to run towards the office door.

"And don't go bothering the maids for snacks, I asked Miss Xiangling to come and make dinner for our guests tonight, so don't spoil it." Ningguang calls out gently, earning a small noise of combined compliance and excitement before the door closes behind the small girl.

Beidou fails to keep a smirk off her features, "I see you've gotten better at handling her."

"Ganyu and I have been slowly learning how best to speak to her." Ningguang shrugs, her gaze shifting to the eight powerful vision holders. "As I'm sure you've all realized, Y/n is the Creator."

"I honestly didn't believe you had really found the Creator when Beidou said it on the ship." Sara speaks, rigid posture remaining unchanged.

"More surprising to me is that she's so young." Kokomi adds, relaxing slightly after Y/n disappeared past the door.

"She's young, but that does not change who she is." Eula sighs.

"And who she is, is why I wanted you all here to talk." Ningguang takes attention back. "Y/n is the Creator, who by every tale and history we have, is the Supreme ruler of Teyvat and Celestia both. A kind hearted god who shaped the world and breathed life into every race and species that walks on it. And by every right, is the sole heir to rule over every nation and beyond." Ningguang pushes papers around on her desk, pulling a small picture from the piles, and sliding it towards the Favored.

The picture shows a small h/c girl laying asleep, and wrapped in the protective hold of Beidou.

"And she is also a child, one who has lived hardship in our world since she was torn from the home she was born to, but does not let that fetter her joy." Ningguang continues, "she likes to draw, gets excited to have sweets, hops on the balls of her feet when she is happy, and has developed some kleptomania. That we are working on."

"And that's why you're keeping her a secret?" Kokomi asks, eyes locked on the small photo beside the stoic stare of Sara and the quiet cooing of Yoimiya.

"Exactly. If the Archons knew about her, they would likely demand she be placed on her throne to rule all of Teyvat. But we have already stolen her childhood once, she should be allowed a second chance at it now." Beidou cuts in, her arms crossed as she attempts to stop a smirk from spreading at the picture.

Jean's voice takes over, "however, secrecy is no longer an option. The people of Mondstadt already suspect that she is in Liyue, and that rumor will spread out from Mondstadt quickly."

"Not exactly." Eula interrupts, "Miss Mona predicted that this meeting would entail the whereabouts of the Creator, not that she would be here."

"Which limits our options, but does not leave us without any." Keqing muses, humming with thought.

"Not to mention that when it becomes known to all the nations that the Creator has been here in Liyue the whole time, this could come at odds to those who would suspect Liyue of hoarding the blessings of the Creator." Yoimiya thinks aloud, swaying slightly where she stands.

"And that could easily catalyst a war." Jean adds. Silence follows after her words in the room.

"We could send her away." Shenhe adds, earning rejecting stares for her idea.

Eula hums loudly before speaking, "that may not be a bad idea."

"You can't be serious!-" Beidou turns in outrage to the blue haired knight.

Ignoring Beidou's outburst, Eula continues, "Kokomi, Sara, if I'm not mistaken, Inazuma is in the midst of a Civil War, correct?"

"We're fighting for people's freedom!"

"Nothing more than stamping out a rebellion!"

The pair speak over each other, both turning to shoot glares at the other.

"So yes." Eula faces Ningguang, "send Y/n to Inazuma with them, we can find a place for her to hide there temporarily, and then make the announcement that we know where the Creator is. Inazuma's borders are closed, and there are very few willing to brave the storm that guards it, so the only people who would be available for a renewed search are those already busy with a war."

"So hide her away where it would be hard for anyone to reach her?" Ningguang asks, leaning back in her seat as she considers the option.

"Even if it's temporary, that doesn't sit right with me." Beidou speaks up, eyebrows pinched in thought, "we were trying to help her settle into one place where she can feel safe. Bouncing her around Teyvat to evade the Archons goes against that."

Shenhe's voice again picks up, "we could only tell one Archon, as a test."

Thoughtful hums fill the room, each person considering the idea carefully.

"The Raiden Shogun would be a poor choice, she would surely insist in the tradition of the Creator's rulership, and would be more than willing to get violent to force the matter." Kokomi states, earning a sharp glare, but not disagreement from Sara.

"Rex Lapis is dead, so we cannot well expect a dead god to listen to our thoughts of the matter." Keqing adds, the stares of Ningguang and Lumine both lingering at her statement.

"Perhaps Barbatos would be a good choice then. If any of them would understand what we want for her, it would be the God of Freedom, right?" Eula asks, earning an agreeing nod from Jean.

"Well I've been trying to meet all the gods since I arrived in this world, so perhaps I might be able to help get whichever one you choose to agree to at least meet." Lumine states, eyes wandering towards the door Y/n had left through.

"But it was those three who summoned her, should they not at least be aware of what has happened?" Sara asks, face twisted in deep thought.

"No, even if we just sent vague letters, at best, it would spur a new more desperate search to find her. At worst, it could be taken as a threat to the Creator, which would make that new surge of searchers all the more violent." Ningguang rambles, eyes scanning over various papers that scatter over her large desk.

"Perhaps her Familiar then? Guuji Yae could be perfectly understanding." Sara insists, stepping closer to the desk, only to have a hand held out to stop her by Kokomi.

"The Lady Guuji is loyal to the Shogun, if she learned news of the Creator, it would be a very short time before the knowledge spreads where we don't want it to." She states, her eyes boring into the taller woman.

"Speaking of loyal to the Shogun, would it really be safe to send Y/n to Inazuma with one of those two?" Keqing asks, gesturing to the still bickering pair.

"What's that supposed to mean?!"

"How dare you!"

The pair whirl on the purple haired woman as the perceived dig at their capability to protect the Creator.

"No, she has a point." Jean interrupts, "that plan works off the war in Inazuma continuing exactly as it has been. So hiding with either of the two leaders of the war would be very unsafe for her to remain."

"See?! So then we shouldn't send her anywhere!" Beidou barks, jumping at the chance to sway the decision her way.

A short cough draws eyes, Lumine looking to see she'd gathered attention, "I actually have someone I can call a favor with that would make an incredibly safe place for her."

"How safe?" Ningguang asks, the look in her eyes holding clear hesitation at the idea.

"Anything short of the Shogun herself approaching the door wouldn't be able to get close to her. So as long as we don't draw her attention, there's no way at all that anyone would ever think to look there." The young blonde continues, her arms crossed over her chest as she speaks.

"Yea! Super duper safe!" Paimon shouts proudly, drifting down to, far too loudly whisper into Lumine's ear, "where is it?"

"I would prefer knowing who the Traveler herself would trust with the Creator." Keqing adds, earning agreeing nods from the other Favored.

A small shrug, almost nonchalant. "Simple. The Kamisato's"

Childe groans in frustration, another report of a dead-end lead.

Every informant closed their doors, no common citizens stepped forward to take the reward for information, and even bribing the local Treasure Hoarders amounted to nothing. Someone or something is cutting off the Fatui's access to information. Anything related to the Creator leads back only to ancient prayers and books older than any wooden structure.

A knock at the door of his office cuts into his thoughts, the obstruction slamming open as a woman wrapped in the heavy coat of a Harbinger, X shaped red pupils bore into Childe as her steps echo in the quiet room.

"Arlecchino! To what do I owe this interruption?" Childe rises from his desk, annoyance at the woman barging in evident in his voice.

"Her Majesty does not have the patience to wait for your investigation." She states plainly, distracted for a moment by judging the man's work space.

"Nor do I." The deep rumble of Capitano calls out from beyond the doorway, the signature helmet of the man bowing down to step through the comparatively small doorway. A woman being dragged along behind him.

"I have things under control, while I appreciate the offer for help, it is not needed." Childe's voice is tight, exhaustion tugging into his speech.
