Egypt unveils hidden corridor in Giza pyramid
Tumblr media
An international research team has discovered a previously unknown chamber in the Cheops pyramid of Gizeh. As early as 2016 measurements had given reason to assume the existence of a hidden hollow space in the vicinity of the chevron blocks over the entrance.
Now scientists from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) have used ultrasound and endoscopy to make an important contribution to confirming this assumption. The status of the Egyptian pyramid as one of the best investigated structures in the world makes this find particularly important.
The Cheops pyramid is considered the largest and oldest of the pyramids of Gizeh. As part of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World it has been thoroughly explored; however, the structure still holds many undiscovered secrets. TUM researchers have now solved one more of the pyramid's mysteries. Read more.

WASP-76b is a hellish planet - but with "glory"
There are many words that could be used to describe WASP-76b — hellish, scorching, turbulent, chaotic, and even violent. This is a planet outside the solar system that sits so close to its star it gets hot enough to vaporize lead. So, as you can imagine, until now, “glorious” wasn’t one of those words. https://www.space.com/hellish-exoplanet-rainbow-glory-effect-cheops This planet (located in…

THE GREAT WALL OF BENIN - 1400 AD
The Guinness Book of Records (1974 edition) described the walls of Benin City and its surrounding kingdom as the world’s largest earth works carried out. Benin City walls were at one point "Four times longer than the Great Wall of China, and consumed a hundred times more material than the Great Pyramid of Cheops
For over 400 years the Walls existed, it protected the inhabitants of the kingdom, particularly, the traditions and civilisations of the Edo people until it was ravaged in 1897 by the British.
The walls which are four times longer than the Great Wall of China, are a combination of strong materials like ramparts and moats, which predated the use of modern earth-moving equipment and technology, and were used for defensive purposes.

Climbing the pyramid of Cheops around 1900.
Khufu or Cheops was an ancient Egyptian monarch who was the second pharaoh of the Fourth Dynasty, in the first half of the Old Kingdom period (26th century BC).
He is generally accepted as having commissioned the Great Pyramid of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, but many other aspects of his reign are poorly documented.

Johannes Hohlenberg (May 21, 1881 - 1960) was a Danish painter, writer, anthroposophist and philosopher. He had studied with Zahrtmann and then ran his own academy in Paris from 1906 - 1911. After that he got more and more into esotericism, met Rudolf Steiner, traveled to Egypt and India - and wrote about all these things: Yoga, the secrets of the Cheops Pyramid, Nostradamus, etc.
In the 30s he went into political philosophy and proposed a minimal state with shared economy among people but total artistic and philosophical freedom. In the 40s he wrote two books about Søren Kierkegaard.
