Day 2 > Seoul, South Korea

BRRRRR! My face stung as the cold air hit my face. The temperature reached the negative range today D: - 4 degrees celcius!

AM:

Today's itinerary included a walk from Cheongyecheon stream to Gyeongbok Palace. On the way to Gyeongbok Palace, we passed by a statue of King Sejong; which was the fourth ruler during the Joseon Dynasty. At Gyeongbok Palace, I admired the beauty of the Palace and even tried on the Hanbok, a traditional costume in Korea :D

Our next stop was the Tongin market in Seochon Village. We exchanged our Korean currency to coins that looked like old coins in the past, to purchase goods at the market. It was a really fun experience. Additionally, we visited house from the old eras of South Korea. One interesting fact I learnt was how they used to keep their houses warm during winter. They used a heating system under the floorboards of the house to stay warm in the harsh cold.

To celebrate the many almost 6,5k holy moly followers and also the third anniversary of this blog, I made this post about my favorite Bangtan lyrics!

Mostly I wanted to say thank you and that.. I really don’t deserve you all ♥ I started this blog for my own studies but when I see your messages that it helped you too it makes my heart all fuzzy and happy~

I still want to cover many of their older songs but they just keep releasing new musicㅋㅋㅋ I know I keep talking about myself instead of giving you some real content but I’ll say this last thing. I am of course not a native Korean speaker and I sometimes do have trouble understanding all the hidden meanings in their lyrics but I can definitely see how my Korean skills have improved since starting the blog. I have been in Korea for a pretty long time too and have studied the language outside of what I post here but when I compare my skills to where i was three years ago, it’s crazy. By that I mean YOU CAN DO IT and DON’T GIVE UP because it may seem impossible but it really isn’t!! Learning a language is not impossible no matter how hard it seems, you just have to take many small steps and...  keep going, you nice ;)))) ♥

Il fait très très chaud, ça y est! Du coup avec mon Allemande, on est parties se promener au bord de l’eau, avec une glace a la main, au melon vert pour mon amie et chocolat pour moi, bien sûr ;) Voici, cher lecteurs, la cheongyecheon river :) une rivière totalement aménagée par l’homme mais très beau et très relaxant .
