Blog update

So I've been gone from Tumblr for a while now as some of you may have noticed.

It started with me just being inactive to avoid spoilers of the new season but life kind of took ahold of me and had a tight grip of me for the past two months, but I've been less busy now and am planning on gradually returning!

Probably start by occasionally reblogging stuff before uploading my own things but idk yet.

Though the first step for all this is, well, actually watching the new season which I've completely failed to do up to now... Anyone know what streaming services and which countries got it?

“I’m Sorry” is one of my favorite World Tour songs and I find it so ironic how the LatAm Spanish dub (which I usually really like the songs of) butchered it, while the Brazilian Portuguese dub (which I usually find very not good song wise) outdid themselves in that one. I’m Sorry truly is a special song.

I don’t know if I’ll ever make anything out of it content wise, but I’ve been taking notes about everything culturally and geographically right and wrong (that I could find) about the representation of LatAm countries in Ridonculous Race.

Argentina is my favorite representation wise, they got to visit both the urban, rural, and natural areas, and I wish Brazil and México had gotten the same or similar treatment, instead of Brazil being all Amazon rainforest until the very end where we finally see a beach, and Mexico looking like a weird mix of desert and tropical in the same place.

Also there’s a lot of weird similarities between the Brazil and México episode idk if anyone else noticed them.

One of the things I can’t stand is when I see people saying that the td production made MK white by changing her skin tone, my guy, do not tell me you cannot recognize an Asian character unless they are literally painted yellow, I am fucking begging you.

I wish we had gotten more Dave and Jasmine interactions in TDPI, like they only interacted once yet I love the hint to a dynamic they have there.

The first time Dave mentions Jasmine in a confessional he refers to her as "Outback Amazon Jasmine with the cool accent” which I love so much because it contrasts so much how negative his opinion on nearly everyone and everything else on the island is (also I would cry if someone called my accent cool).

And in their only proper interaction Dave tells Jasmine that her flower shop/cage fighting businesses dream is the coolest idea he’s ever heard (he was lying, he thought it was a horrible idea). And after that we have Dave going feral trying to sabotage Sky and Jasmine’s just trying to justify his behavior with a “well, I guess they were mean to us so…”

They’re such an odd duo I love them

Like if I can’t have more interactions in canon can I’d love to at least see this duo be more acknowledged by the fandom, they’re my sillies I need to share them with the world.

dunno if anyone has pointed it out yet, but never too late to do it again, BUT:

ive got no clue if its a genuine friendship thing, borderline trust because he's gay or just cus he wanted to, but bowie sleeping in the girls side of the dorms - every now and again, im assuming, cus we've seen him dump this luggage/backpack in the guys side, but is seen sleeping in the girls dorms and spending more time in there in general - feels like such a subtle detail that i absolutely love and can't explain why.

no, seriously, i cannot figure out why im so interested in this little shot. so if anyone could word it better than ive tried to, that would be swell. MAYBE its because it's never been seen/done before? who knows, all i know is that i love that detail and love bowie in general. that's it, that's the post.

(i also don't have any screencaps of that particular shot, nor have found any clips, but its in the season somewhere, as ive watched it, trust me)
