The definition of insanity was allowing yourself to do the same thing over and over again, but expecting a different result each time. Dia Banks was very familiar with that saying. Each time 𝒉𝒆 had come back into her life, she had always acted as if he were going to change. Each time, 𝒉𝒆 had shown to her that there was no chance he was a different man.

It was the greatest trick the Devil ever pulled, after all, and each time Phil Brooks showed up in her life, Dia allowed the devil to lie to her just a little bit more.

It was why she was so angry that she allowed herself to show up to this dinner, after being sent a text from an unknown number, simply giving her the name of the pizza place in Chicago. After seeing the name of the restaurant, she didn't need to know anything else. The last time she had been there was during her training as a member of the Second City Saints. Everything in Dia told her to tell her Colt where she was going, to tell her Bash where she was going.

There was a betrayal in the fact that she hadn't told them where she was headed.

Dia 𝒌𝒏𝒆𝒘 she shouldn't be here right now. She knew even as she moved towards the little table in the back, the same table she had once met Phil at early on in her early career without the rest of the Saint's knowledge, that she shouldn't be here. There he sat, hat pulled down low and playing on his phone. How dare he look so peaceful, especially in this light. How 𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒆 he text her to come to this place that had once meant so much to the two of them. Had Brawl Out meant nothing? Had the way he humiliated both her and her son not been enough to sour her on the man?

And then he looked up at her with that boyish smirk, playing with the lip ring between his teeth, "Hey Di."

Dia slid into the seat across from Phil, "What do you want? What could you possibly want?"

Phil reached across the table, placing a hand on hers with a charming smile, "C'mon, Di. Don't be like this."

She drew in a sharp and slow breath, "Be like what? Be worried that this is all a trick from you?"

HIs eyes scanned to the bag next to him and the smirk on his lips was a little more sinister, "A trick? Diamond, you know me better than that."

"I know you well enough to know that's the kinda man you are," Dia blanched at the use of her real name, quickly pulling her hand away from him. Gods he was so 𝒇𝒓𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈. A waiter brought two drinks to the table, along with a full size pizza. A small smile took her lips, before she banished it, "How did-"

"Mt. Dew and an Italian special," Phil smirked as he stole a piece for himself, "it's the same thing we ordered the first time we came here. People don't change, Di. They just get better at hiding their spots."

A flash of recognition hit Dia as she took the first bite of pizza. Phil's eyes had glanced to that red bag again and Dia felt uneasy. What was in there? What was he hiding from her? "Cass changed. Since he started hanging around Adam, he-"

"He hasn't changed. He still hasn't told you the truth," Phil shrugged one shoulder, "I guess we've had enough chit-chat, huh? I came to warn you."

"Warn me?" Dia raised an eyebrow before sipping her drink, "About what?"

"In this bag," Phil began, scooting back to tap the rep bag next to him, "is something that will ruin your sons reign. I'm gonna tell the world at Collision. I at least wanted to give you a fighting chance. You keep pushing yourself down to make him happy, to make the bozos you've married be happy. Fuck that, Diamond. Fight with-"

Dia gestured for a waiter and asked for a to-go box before she dared look back at Phil. There it was, a betrayal like only Phil was capable of. He could build her up so high, make her feel so good about their friendship, then take her down just as quickly. "My family is my pride and joy. I gave you the benefit of the doubt, Phil. And yet here we go again. My answer is fuck you."

Alright listen Mora!Reader is nearly done but I just had a truly awful idea and I’m listening to Extreme/Brazilian Funk rn so I’m on a mind high okay so here’s the tea (never saying that again):

So we know that Obey Me doesn’t follow the Bible in anyway whatsoever really, so why not make the entire game angsty because I’m tried? Bet, making shit angsty is my specialty.

So anyway, that’s where new character/reader comes in: Adam/Eve! And when I put their names together like that, I mean they are the same person. They were made in a way that allows them to flip flop between both genders and sex’s so like they have the best of both worlds. Good a cooking and cleaning and sewing and child stuff as well as hunting and war and providing and so on and so forth.

Now here’s the kicker, they’re the human Lilith meets.

And *poof* love blossoms. She’s like “Awe cute little human~” and they’re like “Wow a being beyond my mortal comprehension! Neat!” Love.

So all the “God doesn’t want me here” shit goes down and instead of being like “aw don’t listen to him baby stay down here with us humans” they’re like “Then??? Stop visiting me??? If The Father doesn’t want that????”

So anyway war starts and she dies-

And their like “OH NO MY LOVE” so they chase after her falling body and try to catch her but end up slipping off a cliff and being forced to watch as Lucifer does the deal thingy with Dia and then they also get reincarnated with her.

But not for good reason oh no, they’re immortal now and forced to watch as she lives her life and watch her descendants live their lives as well.

Also they’ve been instilled with the 7 deadly sins, but the 7 heavenly virtues are still stuck in em as another punishment so they can go “Imma gonna rob this bank😏” “you could use this to feed the poor😇” “NOOOOO-“

They start off being okay with the brothers and still praying but soon (and by soon I mean over the course of thousands of years) it turns into them owing a shrine in their house for the soul purpose of of praying to God to shit on him.

“So today I learned that Lilith’s 243rd descendent is a world leader. That’s cool. Bet you didn’t see that coming huh you fucking bitch? Bet you weren’t counting on that were you whore? Hope your ass sits on an angel with a shockingly sharp halo.”

Yeah they’re pissy which is fair.

And then, the cherry on top?

They get invited to R.A.D. as a human participant.

Now, last they checked this did seem like something Dia would do (they never had bad blood with him) but DAMNIT why them???

They are so fucking tired dude, when they get down there the demon brothers try to scare them and they probably say at some point “Oooooo Beel’s gonna eat you oooooo!!!1!1!11” And they just… rip their leg off and throw it at him before using an ancient magic to rapid fire heal their leg back to perfect health and walk away, leaving them in shock.

I’m sorry it’s late and like I said Mora!Reader is nearly done but this idea (that I know FULL WELL I didn’t articulate right) hasn’t left my mind as well as another that I might dump in a while lmao. being a mean dom doesn't come naturally to diavolo, especially for lucifer, who he normally loves to spoil and shower in praise, but his precious angel is hard and panting and needy at his feet, and oh, god, he'd do anything for him.

hello hello i was gonna make one of these sooner or later! thank u to @loveismine for asking abt them this was the motivation i needed LOL . also tagging @eqqbyte @harvsbian since they asked :]

STORY SUMMARY:

my oc universe (3 years unnamed and counting!) is set in a universe where most people die twice; the first time, you come back with powers based off of the way you died (or rarely something completely unrelated,) the second time you die for real. this brings with it a bunch of new cultural norms; middle and upper classes have ceremonies to achieve specific powers, lower class families sometimes save up for these ceremonies and bank on having one child with practical powers to support them through work. ptsd from the 'first deaths,' especially if youre someone who was put through a specific ceremony for it, is extremely common but largely dismissed. etc etc there's a lot of pointless details i've thought out

the story is centered around nebula - one of the many 'children' (test subjects) of the very very corrupt government - her wife lynn, a pretty normal woman who works as a model, and lynn's childhood friend dia (and HER sister ember) who resents nebula because . . . : )

nebula is keeping secrets, notably her actual origin and why she and lynn even met to begin with; when ember gets kidnapped during nebula and lynn's wedding, the entire plot kicks off.

CHARACTER SUMMARIES (UNDER THE CUT):

NEBULA

WARNING: includes discussions of child abuse/child death

one of the few legitimate children to her science-obsessed parents, nebula was involved in their government research since she was a child. the government intended to create an army of extremely powerful individuals, and to do this carried out a series of experiments to see just how random someone's powers could be - and if powers could be specifically engineered to manifest in a certain way.

to nebula's parents she was just another test subject, so she was given the name NE-004 and at five years old left to suffocate in space as part of one of their experiments alongside a group of other children. she came back to life with gravity powers; she can alter the gravitational field strength of any object within a 1km radius, as long as it's within line of sight. this wasn't the intent of the experiment, and so nebula was deemed a 'failure' and spent most of her life until around 19 growing up in a government facility with dozens of her 'siblings', being trained in combat, weapons etc. so she could still be useful in the future as a guard. it was dehumanising, isolating, and nebula and her 'siblings' were often subject to abuse from eachother or their handlers, or painful/invasive experiments from the facility's scientists.

nebula was sent out as a sort of spy when dia's family caught the attention of the government (more about this in ember's section, but ember's powers manifested in a unique way that the government wanted to research.) her mission was to get close to the family, gain their trust and eventually obtain the information the government needed more discreetly.

and then she met lynn.

lynn was dia's best friend; the two were basically inseparable, so she was the perfect way to get closer to dia's family without seeming too suspicious, especially to the now paranoid and distrusting dia herself. with lynn, nebula felt for the first time that she was being treated like an actual person; her own emotions were clumsy and her social skills awful from her lonely upbringing, but the two of them quickly fell in love and got engaged.

all the while, lynn had no idea of nebula's origins. neither of them liked to discuss their families, so she had no real reason to suspect. but in the background nebula's superiors were getting impatient. two years passed and with no helpful information gained in all that time, they sought to resolve the issue themselves.

which leads to ember being kidnapped at the wedding.

LYNN

grew up as the oldest sibling in a large working class family; had to take care of her siblings a lot while her parents worked toward the promise of a proper ceremony for her when she became a teenager. lynn's family intended for her to gain fire powers since they were pretty practical + versatile, and as a result set her and dia up on playdates so they could become friends and eventually train eachother's powers together.

at the age of 11 she drowned. as a result she gained the power to turn her hair into water to its roots; something her family obviously didn't want for her. lynn's relationship with her family broke down over the years, not helped by her coming forward about the actions of a 'family friend' from when she was younger and made all the worse when they didn't believe her. she left home to live with dia's family at the age of 15; she still considers dia's parents more family than anyone else.

passing school with alright grades, lynn went into modelling and quickly picked up traction thanks to her looks and powers. she met nebula a little into her career; they bonded strangely quickly, and despite dia's distrust of nebula lynn proposed to her anyway. her life was going good.

in reality, lynn's self esteem was extremely low; her powers were weak and good for nothing except aesthetics (especially in comparison to nebula and dia's), she still felt guilt over 'abandoning' her family, she felt stupid and naive for letting herself be manipulated as a child but refused to kill her trust in people for it.

all feelings that would spiral out of control after the wedding, and after nebula would be forced to admit the truth.

DIA

pretty tame middle class upbringing; her mothers both worked for the government (relatively low level civil servants though.) went through a ceremony at the age of 13, just like her parents had before her, and came out with horns and a devil-like tail that could materialise fire (she doesn't use the horns often though because they singe her hair lol) and also severe nightmares but that's supposed to be normal.

pretty upbeat and flippant about most things but is fiercely protective of her younger sister ember, especially after the media attention her family gained in the wake of ember's powers manifesting. she shelters her pretty severely in an attempt to protect her and this definitely won't come back to bite her.

EXTREMELY mistrustful of nebula from the start; mostly gets along with her for lynn's sake. her hatred reaches a peak after the wedding and in the main events of the plot.

not a lot to say about her tbh? i love her though : ) if there's a character whose pov you'd be reading from itd probably be her

EMBER

dia's younger sister! more of a side character but she is plot important. very sheltered upbringing (much moreso than dia since ... dia is very overprotective lol) very nonchalant about like.. everything, she doesn't have much of a filter but it usually doesnt get her in trouble because shes not a mean person to begin with. underwent the same ceremony dia did at age 13.

the clawlike hands (she can summon fire w them) are the manifestation of her powers; this got her and her family media attention because this was the exact same way her mother's powers manifested - an extremely rare occurrence the reason she gained the attention of the government. this was one of their points of research; if there was a link between family members' powers and if there was a way to ENSURE family members had the same powers. this of course leads to them sending nebula out and later ember getting kidnapped.

MERCURY

her and z's stories are like integral to eachother so i advise skimming z's backstory before this at the very least but i cant stop you lol

leader of the most high-profile resistance against the government. had a relatively happy childhood that was cut abruptly short when she was out with her family one day; they were mugged, and at 12 years old mercury was stabbed to death alongside her parents. she came back to life with the power to manipulate metals and was almost immediately bought into a prestigious school to train her powers, fully funded by the government. meanwhile her younger sister (being at home w a babysitter at the time) was put in foster care; their relationship was distant, though not from lack of trying on mercury's part.

mercury quietly grew to hate her powers; they were the reason she could barely see her sister, the result of her family's deaths, and yet they were treated like a blessing by everyone around her. at the same time they were the only advantage she really had in life, and in a way the last thing her parents had given her - so she trained like hell and graduated with top grades lest it all be for nothing.

somewhere along the line in high school she met z and they fell in love; z was smart and easy to talk to and about the only person she seemed to be able to have a real critical conversation with about their world - what these powers meant, why they happened in the first place. they both ended up in one of the country's top universities; funded and used personally by the government to scout new talent.

and then, at the start of her second year of university, z vanished. no goodbye, no texts, nothing.

mercury spiralled. she dropped out and searched desperately for z long after anyone else had accepted her death, devoted her life to that and nothing else and barely took care of herself at all. along the way she stumbled across forums; huge networks of people whose loved ones had vanished in the same way. then, even smaller networks talking about how they'd been working for the government months before and now their so-called 'employers' were acting like they'd never existed.

the rebellion was never meant to be what it became. it started as a sort of support group; a shoddily made up forum mercury created herself where people could freely discuss their loved ones and what might have happened to them. the group grew massively, countless stories of the very same circumstances; people digging up whatever proof they could, all manner of people contacting mercury asking how to help, offering funds, even those wanting to seek their own justice - and mercury can't say her encouragement of it was entirely selfless.

the grief had to go somewhere physical. over the years mercury's group outgrew it's original shitty webpage and became something else entirely. but despite being branded as the resistance's leader, most of its build-up felt out of her hands; she managed the funds and tracked members, sure, but she was never a leader. she couldn't give speeches or motivate any emotion but anger. violence was the language she spoke best, despite it all.

she never forgot about z. every time they raided a government facility or uncovered some new documents she looked for her face.

she found it, eventually - on the side that she'd been fighting against for years.

despite that, mercury still loved her. z was one of the only things she had left to love and she clung to her with everything she had. noone knew, of course, because the consequences for either of them would be deadly, but they still got together frequently. despite everything z had done, despite everything mercury knew she'd been capable of and despite how much they fought, now.

mercury is a minor character in the main story; she becomes a sort of mentor figure to nebula and her and z's relationship is sort of a parallel/worst case scenario of nebula and lynn's. i love her very very dearly.

About your post on what cards to get, dia, tickets etc.:

Keep playing. And don't worry if you can't max all the cards you want to immediately, the items and tickets tend to accumulate when you're not looking. :D And use your audition scout tickets for more exp tickets. And you in a Society in-game? The society shop has 10 gold exp tickets weekly (but prioritize unlocking score boosts).

I know it's difficult to skip cards you'd like to have but try to think of the ones you *really* want. At least I like just looking at the event/card timeline and planning and daydreaming, hehe. Collecting Memorial Coins is slooow but it feels so good when you're finally able to get the card you wanted. Getting event cards and skipping gacha is more cost-effective, not only because gacha is luck, but event cards take a year to arrive to Memorial Shop and gacha cards only three months until they are in general pool. That doesn't guarantee anything of course but there's a chance every time you pull at least.

I'd imagine we'd get 100 whistles for SS Finals. And having event songs boosts the points (but 5* cards start from 3.5 mil unlike regular tours). But the event requires time. Do you know its structure? It has two tour maps (21 days) which means two bonus 5*s (one for fine, one for Eden). If you pick Tori and Hiyori as bonuses, you have to grind 4.2 mil points (Eichi is at 3.5 mil and Nagisa at 4.2 mil). Unfortunately there's no get rich quick scheme but besides dailies, be sure to play every song on every difficulty (if you're not good on higher difficulties, you can still get something), check the song missions in Main Story (you can chip them away little by little if you don't have strong enough original teams for later ones), be sure to always at least unlock the stories when they are open to read to get the dia... and don't miss logging in on character birthdays. And there are Christmas and New Year campaigns soon which means stuff. \^o^/

If you are ever able to use little money, use it for the VIP I (5$ monthly pass) that's most worth your money and has the godly 30 max BP.

Try to stay strong for the cards you really want. Ahaha, I'm very hypocritical for saying this at this point because I like too many characters and am a collector but I'm rooting for you! HappyEle is very mean for putting fine and Eden back to back, it was the same with Tempest and Conquest! D: That's why I didn't get Conquest Hiyori but I'm only two Memorial Coins short now. (Later I've surrendered my bank account to HappyEle...)

Don't worry, it's ok to feel fomo/sad not getting your fave pngs but hey, at least there are goals to work towards.

This part was a bit confusing and I'm glad you explained that to me. I'm talking about the gacha cards and all. I looked everywhere for some tips and all, but mostly people were saying I must pull for the bonus cards to be able to get 3 500 000pt. So even without pulling for the bonus cards I can still get the 5* cards, I see... I didn't know that haha.

I think yeah... HappyEle is really mean when putting fine and Eden back to back. I still don't have Tempest Wataru and Conquest Hiyori because I didn't play the game back then, the same goes for fist of Idol: Togenkyo Yuzuru and Tori... sigh... But... my goal for now is to get Bogie Time Ibara haha... I hate that I didn't play any of these events... Wish I found out about Enstars earlier... I know how it feels to get any card after saving the memorial coins, I couldn't even explain how happy I was when I got my Tempest Eichi! :D

But this time I think HappyEle went crazy... I'm talking about Getto Spectacle 5* Hiyori [I don't have him...], Sanctuary fine/5* Wataru, and now Solid Eden/5* Jun...

I always a little envied people who were able to only choose one unit or character... I love them all so much...

I don't really talk about my beloved Akatsuki or Undead coming after Eden event... I'm glad that there are no Valkyrie or Alkaloid events in the near future...

When I first heard about SS finals and that there would be four 5* cards I got scared... Also thank you for telling me the structure I didn't know much about it. Ah... 4.2 million pt is too much, but I already know I have to work hard until it will happen and save as many dias as possible for this because I'm sure it's worth it. Also, I love these cards so much and both songs are literally everything to me.

When it comes to playing the songs on each difficulty I might be only able to play the hard mode and not always... I can't play the expert mode... sigh I at least will keep playing on normal mode and hard mode. Yeah, I still have to read SS stories as I only read Secret Service and Sanctuary before, and need to reread them on Enstars. I already read Sattelite and got some dias. Thanks to those stories being longer than the other ones I can get much more dias. Ah, it also reminds me that Ibara's birthday event is coming so it means dias haha XD. I wanted to try to pull for his FS1 card, but I should ignore it and just keep saving dias. Sometimes it's really tempting not to pull on their birthdays, I also had a hard time with Shu and Kaoru not pulling for them...

Favorite Author: Not entirely sure I have one? Haven’t really thought about it. I loved reading Tolkein as a kid though.

Favorite Character from Literature: Following on from the last one, I always loved Eowyn - strong willed and doesn’t let people tell her what she can or can’t do

Favorite Music Genre: It depends on my mood, but I like most things (except the hardcore rock and screaming lol). But my go-to is any kind of instrumental/classical music (listening to some right now lmao)

Favorite Kind of Book: I quite like autobiographies. I like learning about people and hearing their stories.

The plot concerns a mysterious character named Sylas Hendershot (Luke Perry), who takes refuge from a ravaging thunder storm in a small farm in rural Washington state which is owned by Tom (Steve Bacic) and Gillian Grady (Lauren Holly). He claims that he should stay and that they should watch after each other. Over the next few days, Tom quickly starts to dislike Sylas and becomes suspicious of him and his past.

Tom travels to the town police station to look for records regarding Sylas after he finds a newspaper clipping about him and his father in the attic. Tom finds the whole town deserted (including the police station) as well as 'manditory evacuation' notices posted on every building. Suddenly, Tom is attacked by two deranged men after finding an article showing Sylas as the actual killer of his father. Tom fights off the two looters and flees the town.

When Tom is save outside of the town he reads the newspaper article and It shows that Sylas' father lost the farm because he was drunk and this enraged Sylas so much that he hung him from a tree and left him there for days. When a bank foreclosure agent came by to foreclose on the house, Sylas slit his throat as well. It is then found out that Sylas has been in prison for the last 20 years related to the two deaths.

Tom returns to the farm and, after finding his wife half naked with Sylas in the bathroom, kicks him out at gun point and tells him never to return. Sylas does return however, and starts a fire as a distraction outside which makes Tom run out to look for Sylas. Sylas traps a rope around Tom's neck and drags him up in the tree to hang, just like he did with his father. Sylas then goes into the house to talk to Tom's wife and try to persuade her to become his new wife. Sylas claims that the biblical so-called 'Rapture' has arrived due to the world's weather phenomena and that everyone in the rest of the world is gone to prepare for the comming of the end of the world.

Tom's son comes to his rescue and cuts Tom down from the tree moments before he loses consciousnesses. A battle then ensues between Tom and Sylas. Tom burns Sylas alive by pushing him into the fire Sylas created as the distraction.

After the battle, Tom, Gillian and their son are relived that Sylas is dead when they look up into the night sky and see the stars in the sky start to glow and then disappear just like it was depicted in the bible as Sylas earlier explained. Just before the ending credits role, the entire universe is shown glowing very brightly then disappearing signifying the world's end.

It was always meant to be the two of them.

Colt Cabana had always felt like he belonged with Dia Banks. Not that the world would have ever been able to see it. To the world, he was a soft nerd who ran the local flower shop. He loved his jokes, telling a standard routine every Friday night at the local performance venue, Scat Cat’s Club. He loved magic, entertaining the children of clients who came into his shop. Colt was soft. Sweet.

But Dia?

Dia was the epitome of what cool should have been. She played guitar for the band that often played Scat Cat’s Club. She rode a motorcycle, dressed in a mix of leather and lace that always managed to show off tattooed arms. Whereas Colt was always hesitant, no matter how brightly he went along with life, Dia was confident. She never let life stop her from getting exactly what she wanted. Nothing stopped her from living the life that she thought she deserved.

One of the comforts Cold had in life was that neither had changed much in their lives of Storybrooke from the story that they had lived to a close. Sure, Dia had lived her life more…stationary…for a bit, but their lives were more-or-less the same. But, on another level, that was dangerous. Most people who remembered their lives before were imprisoned in the local asylum. It was the only reason Colt feared for Dia lately, feared that his wife would be taken away because of her knowledge of the truth behind the town.

Dinner was coming along nicely, a salad using homegrown vegetables and a nice chicken to accompany that. Colt had been cutting cucumbers when the knife had slipped. It wasn’t a bad cut. It wasn’t a lot of blood. But he knew that the bleeding needed to be stopped before…

“Is it fresh, Krelbourne?” came the sultry voice from the doorway. Colt closed his eyes to take a deep breath, pressing the white washcloth that steadily reddened harder into his skin. He wished she wouldn’t call him that, not even in the sanctity of their own home.

“I don't think so. It isn't meant to be. Besides, we can’t do that anymore, Twoie, not here,” Colt protested with an adamant shake of his head.

“Aw c’mon Krelbourne, ain’t no one here,” his wife moved forward in their small kitchen. Colt’s soft brown eyes met hers, aware of how green her eyes had gotten. It reminded him of the petals on her former form, “Besides, I’m hungry.”

The bleeding had mostly stopped, and Colt let out a relieved sigh, “You’re not an alien plant anymore, D. You’re a person. This little habit of yours has gone from strange to…to straight up weird…”

“Habit?” Dia sounded disgusted, turning away from him to rummage through the fridge, “I would hardly call this, the only time I’ve ever been this tempted, a habit.” There was another beat, a deep breath from his love, “What the fuck is wrong with me?”

Colt shook his head, feeling sorry for her. He could never deny her when she wilted like this, it had been a fatal flaw. “It’s who you are and I can’t blame you for that, but this isn’t our world anymore. We have to be careful with what we do, with Poe’s spies lurking all around.”

Dia seemed to hunt through the fridge, looking for something. “Poe’s spies? Right, right. Because I see so many other people in our kitchen who would go running to tell that man that we remember who we are…”

Colt knew how silly he sounded. There was no one in the house who would tell Doctor Michael Poe of their knowledge, but Colt had always been a nervous thing. “You know that he has spies everywhere. Maybe not here, not in our house, but he has them. We have to be careful.”

“I am TIRED of being careful, Krelbourne,” Dia stood, a roll of raw hamburger in her hand. She hopped up onto the kitchen counter. Gentle hands grabbed pinches of meat, popping it into her mouth as if it were simply raw cookie dough. “I’m tired of hiding.”

“Well I have to be careful, Di,” Colt protested, placing a bandaid from their kitchen’s first aid kit onto the small cut. He flexed and unflexed his hand a few times, before smiling at her, “I have to keep you out of Poe’s grip. I can’t let him hurt you. I won’t.”

Dia stuffed some of the dripping, raw meat into her mouth, chewing it thoughtfully before smiling at Colt, red stained lips giving way to sharp teeth with pieces of the meat caught in it. It reminded Colt of the way she had once eaten the limbs he had provided. Colt had sworn that life would change for both of them. He needed life to change for both of them. “I won’t be in trouble with Poe around here. You are the only one who knows we know what we know, florist. Ya know?”

Colt gave a small, reserved sight. She was right. Dia was always right. Even in the world before she had known the right thing to say and exactly when to say it. “If you say so, Twoie. If you say so.”

Okay, let's make this Iron Fist re-read post NOW, so my next one can be full of unintelligible ranting about........ Y'know.

Spoilers below.

1. So, this book is when some of my favorite characters come in: Dia Passik(Twi'lek, former slave, little scary, really cool, hasn't seen Face's holo-shows, allegedly immune to his charms. So.), Shalla Nelprin (her older sister taught Kell how to kick butt, and she's even worse) and of course, Ga- *violent coughing* I mean Lara Notsil. Who is a truly FASCINATING character. Also, Castin Donn comes in, but he's not my favorite, TBH. He's got an ego on him. But I'll admit, he has a rather interesting character arc.

2. "Sounds like a mild concussion. See our doctor about it." "Oh, I'm too important a doctor to see anyone as lowly as myself." Why do you crack me up so much, Phanan. Why.

3. 'Wedge retrieved it and looked at the message. It read: *Lieutenant Kettch reporting for duty, sir. Yub, yub, Commander!* Wedge shook his head sorrowfully. "Sometimes I miss my sanity." He retrieved the toy and handed it to Face. "Deal with that." Face, who was working so hard to repress a laugh he couldn't speak, simply threw a salute and escaped with the Ewok pilot.' And thus, a legend was born....

4. Flip to the villain's POV, and they're complaining about a town's name. To be fair, it IS pretty unfortunate.

5. "Rogue Squadron doesn't run," said Corran Horn, dead-pan. "Unless we really, really have to." That got more laughter. "No," said Wedge, "this will be Wraith Squadron's mission. " We don't mind running," Face said. "Even *when* we don't have to." And if someone ever asks me the difference, I'll have my answer.

6. Wedge has officially owned this squadron so hard, everyone in it is his child. Therefore, he will be committing some mild treason if necessary.

7. 'But those pilots who'd just been sacrificed, who'd died to satisfy Zsinj's sense of efficiency. It was like Admiral Trigit. And it wasn't-- "Thirteen." --honorable. There was no honor in it.' Oh, I really like this scene. Lara comes to the realization that Zsinj, and her old boss, Trigit, are the same: honor-less, unclassy, ect. And I love the way it's put together, I love her realization, I love the part after that when she and the rest of the squad get back and she realizes that she's one of them now. They've adopted you, Lara. Too late, you can't retract it.

8. 'Wedge gaped. "You robbed a bank." "We did. It was fun, too." So, I really like Kell and Phanan's friendship. And despite the fact that Kell gets the girl, and Phanan doesn't, they do stay friends. Which I really like.

9. ' "You do remember that the Hawkbats are a front, a sham?" Kell and Phanan exchanged looks suggesting that this was news to them.'

10. Okay, I don't really know where to start with this part. It breaks my heart every time. Phanan just doesn't see anything in his future. At all. And Face and I are equally saddened by this. I just wish... I guess I wish things were different, as I often do with Star Wars. And real life. I wish that Phanan had hope. That's all.

11. Lara trusts Donos. Which is a first for her. Plus, like, romantic foreshadowing. Yay.

Well, there's chapters one-ten. Sooner or later, I'll get through the......... Halmad part. And then I'll make a really long, incomprehensible post about it all.

But today lowkey I choose violence. I spend all my dia on this eveeent for Yakou's reha. You know what I get? The reeeest of theeeeeeem but not hiiiiiiiim. And 2 new 5 stars reha and I saw that sneak peak from the next eveeeeeent and I know I'm gonna go after Sin and Ginsei. Donuts I still need money for living thank you. And I have the audacity to be angry. AND because it's not enough I made an entire scenario about how would be to have Yakou as my roommate because mine is too lazy to cooome and I am alooone.

OMG YAKOU, why are you being a pain? IKR! Donuts is breaking everyone’s bank accounts with all the merch, CDs, and gatchas. I’m kinda glad that Kei stays away from the gatcha haha. Kokuyou still makes me spend though, but I’m most likely going to spend for the WD gatcha. I really hope Sin/Ginsei are nice to you! Yakou would be the type of roommate who would make time for you even if he’s busy~! Why are you apologizing? 😳 So is Yakou your fav character in BSTS?
