birthdate: May 26 (She’s 10 at the time of New Dawn)

personality headcanon: being the first child born in New Eden, Bex had a lot of responsibility put on her shoulders at a young age. She had the same wild fire as her mother with the inquisitiveness of her father. She’s definitely taken over a protector role as a big sister to her two younger siblings.

what was their first word and how old were they when they said it: ‘dada’ to Tawny’s dismay, a little bit after her first birthday.

did they get in trouble in school: lmao I don’t know if new eden had school? I’m sure she did at times from being a bit wild if so.

which parent were they more attached to: Bex is a total daddy’s girl but she is closest with her mom.

what was their favorite toy: A stuffed animal that tawny managed to cobble together from fabric scraps.

did they cry a lot as a baby: Bex was a happy baby she almost never cried.

movie they watched over and over: lmao do they have films in New Dawn? I don’t think she’s ever seen a movie.

what was their favorite subject in school: Bex is a reader so English would have been it.

were they social growing up or quiet: I think she’s an equal mix of extrovert and introvert. She likes her reflective moments but she’s always been super opinionated and isn’t afraid to say it or join in on the fun.

which parent do they take after: Joseph unfortunately lol but I think more of the like nurturing side. She has the same wild tenacity of Tawny though. She’s just more reserved and methodical than Tawny is.

what do they grow up to be: her and her family leave New Eden after the events of New Dawn so I think once older she’s one of those who help the rebuild efforts. They return to Tawny’s dad’s farm so I think that she helps out around the ranch/farm.

three random headcanons: she actually had a pretty good relationship growing up with Ethan before her took over New Eden. She tended to pester him a lot in a younger sister way. Being raised around cougars her whole life she adores them and spends a lot of time taking care of and raising the ones that live in New Eden. She has a very exploratory nature and would sneak out from time to time beyond the confines of New Eden to explore.

He peeked in the window and saw her again, seated behind the counter with a chalkboard on her lap, her hands flailing about animatedly as she laughed at her own story. It may have been his imagination, but he swore he heard that laugh through the window on the street. Did those she was talking to understand how blessed they were just to be in her presence?

Suddenly aware of how long he'd been standing there, he nervously looked around. Fortunately, it would take more than a 6'3" lovesick doctor staring at the object of his affection to catch the attention of the jaded Boston pedestrians. Now he had a second reason to love this city.

“Good morning to my wonderful friends,” he sang before catching a scowling glare from one. “… and Eli. Why so glum, Pal?”

“Because some of us have been up working on maneuvers all morning. And you were….”

“Oh, I bet you’d be outnumbered on that,” her best friend insisted.

“Not if you keep your mouth shut, and it's not put to a vote! Now, change the topic, because this conversation is over.”

He tried to focus on work. Normally, that would do the trick, but the more he tried to push thoughts of her out of his mind, the more vividly she appeared. He reached into his pocket and nearly pulled out his phone but let it drop just as quickly. What was the point? The result would be the same. He tossed his pen and sat back with a frustrated sigh. Someday he was going to have to find out why this woman had such a strong hold over him, but today wasn't going to be that day.

"Dr. Carrick!" Aurora yelled as she came crashing through the door.

"We don't knock when entering our boss's offices anymore?" he snarled, quickly realizing he couldn't take out his frustration with her roommate on his employee. He rubbed his eyes and held up a hand. "I'm sorry. Let's start this conversation again. How can I help you, Dr. Emery?"

"You haven't heard?" Aurora asked, her voice almost unrecognizable. Only then did he look and notice her, visibly shaken.

"Aurora, what's going on?"

"It's Edenbrook," she muttered, grabbing the remote control from his desk and flicking on the TV. "It's Edenbrook..."

Open Starter - WS!Bex (aka Rivka) || Open to All (especially Steves and Buckys)

The first few hours were always hell. Everything hurt and it was near impossible to get ones bearings – like the world was covered in some thick layer of fog that she was straining to see through. She hated that fog. And yet with every trip into stasis it seemed to become thicker, causing her to retreat further into the darkness she was named after.

Coming to, she sat forward, taking slow deep breathes as she willed her lungs to work once more – ignoring the burning sensation that came with it. It would fade. It always did.

Around her came the chatter of voices, she didn’t bother to listen. Right now she didn’t care. There was only one voice that mattered to her and she could pick it out of a crowd easily. Until he spoke, their talk was nothing but background noise.

It made her want to rip out their vocal chords. Even as she tested her own.

“Vodka. Now.” She commanded in Russian.

I just read ch 6!!!! And have so many feels.

There were so many emotional talks between everybody! Chris and bex! Bex and will! Will and jay! Chris and jay! Bex and jay! Mouse and jay! Al and voight! Such a rollercoaster. But ultimately very satisfying.

And the intro of brett!! Amazing! But did truck lose someone to take on gabi? Or did truck expand so we can have more characters without killing someone? -looking at you nbc 😒-

I'm a little curious what mouse found out about beau!! Also who was part of the unanimous decision that bex is not to go undercover again? Does her brothers have a bex brothers only group chat where they trade information on bex?

Also, when did Antonio sneak a pic for Gabi? Sneaky sir! Very sneaky!

Ugh, but Emery. 😩 don't get mad at bex! Cal is a criminal and Ty is trash! When did Cal even have time to let Ty know this? He was shot, then cutting a deal with pd, and then in the hospital for treatment? Are these the legendary multi tasking skills of middle management?

Uh...Ramsay is the kingpin here? Assault charges? Getting a little nervous for Bex given his interest last chapter.

But such a touching scene between chris and bex? Kitkat chats? Just perfection. But what is this backstory about scouts? I think you write chris so well. Really bringing out those fatherly advice that's so essential to his character in canon. Also, such a cute touch with the time out to intelligence later on!

And bex finally got hugs and cuddles! Unexpectedly, from adam. Unsatisfyingly, none from mouse.

It seems like bex and will go running every day...and will wins ever day...so will is now twerking every day? Could he place in a dance competition at this point 😂? I would root for him. Also i cannot imagine jay twerking. Can you imagine if burgess and roman or atwater are on patrol and come across this scene? The blackmail. 😂

Hello! Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed the chapter! To answer your questions (putting it after the cut because this got long!):

1. Uh, I definitely meant to add in a part before now where Chris becomes Lt and they get Engine, but apparently I forgot. Just pretend Truck fits six people, please, and I'll fix it in one of the next parts. (My bad.) 2. Mouse found nothing out about Beau that was of any ill repute and he's a bit salty about it. Anything he did find was small beans. But he and Jay still have fun dissecting his socials because they're just Like That. I was thinking that the unanimous vote was with Jay and the younger Intelligence gang, but Will and Chris would be on side as well. I kind of love the idea of them having a Bex Brothers chat. Hmmm. 3. Antonio took pics during the performance - he was blending in with the crowd! That's his story and he's sticking to it. 4. I know, I know. Emery is right in the thick of it with Ty and it's hard for everyone to watch. They're going to do their best to help get her out of it. And Cal used his powers of persuasion and sweet talked a nurse into lending him her phone on the sly so he could text Ty (telling Ty not to answer and deleting the sent text from her phone after.) 5. I wouldn't call Ramsay the kingpin so much as keeper of all the secrets with a rage problem. He is actually going to jail for a good long while so HE'S not going to be a threat to anyone. 6. I love writing Chris and I love, love, love writing Chris and Bex. Their relationship is one of my favourite parts of this series. I feel like he's kind of fallen to the side for the last few parts because the Halstead boys had so much going on, but I'm bringing him back in more. (The Scouts record is sealed. Sorry, lol) 7. Yes, lots of hugs and cuddles for Bex this chapter! Sorry none were from Mouse, lol - they didn't even get a scene together this chapter. Oh, that was mean of me. Don't worry - I will be making up for it! 8. Bex and Will don't go running EVERY day, but they go enough. And Will doesn't win every time, but he wins enough that he has buns of steel. Jay didn't twerk much (I mean...he gave it a shot), but he was more busting out the old school moves like the shopping cart and the lawn mower.
