tha BLUES. not the music just. the color. he's a very frosty guy and he sorta lives up to the aesthetic lol. he'll wear any colors, although I feel the most common are like. blue and white. other neutral tones thrown in, cool colors too. and patterns are good.

ough,,,, god this is a hard one. im gonna say the crankit family kitchen, specifically with rai and dai. he'll never admit it tho.

hm... low? it was already low before he started t, so it's honestly a little soothing. as for tone... pretty serious, usually. even when he's joking, his humor is very dry and deadpan. it's really funny when he gets all riled up and his voice cracks, tho.

ooh.. ok i'm gonna do just a few:
shirai and daiya: their beloved kuya. oh how they treasure getting on his last fucking nerve. no but really they both look up to him sooo much, they think of him as a really steady and caring person. to his face tho, "kuya killjoy" lmao. "shortass."
murphy: LMAO don't trust this man he's down bad. "cute," obviously. nerd but in an endearing way. a giver, but needs to take better care of himself.
rey: aer best friend. "snores too damn loud." a kindred spirit, they are both way too exhausted to give a fuck. "the best of all of us. except maybe justice. idk don't make me choose."

I AM EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE

I watched Everything Everywhere All at Once at a time when I was getting lost in life. Wow, what a terribly apropos film for me to stumble upon - almost as if it was godsent.
I understood how Jobu Topaki felt: to see so many versions of yourself in so many different universes all vying for a life each incarnation of you could have lived.
Right now, I wish I was exercising, I wish I looked my best, I wish I had a car, I wish I was mentally well, I wish I played my classic video games and watched my classic films and read my classic books.
I'm jealous of P who does these things. I'm jealous R who does these things.
All these negative feelings gather in me and I curl up into a ball, never to rise up again.
And my purpose too...I feel lost. Do I want to be a lawyer? Do I want to be a teacher? Do I want to be holistic? Do I want focused skills?
I'm so fucking tired.
Everything Everywhere All At Once is about empathy. Right now, I am just freewriting. My mind is in a state of utter chaos. This is exactly how Evelyn and Jobu felt. I need to understand that people have different universes in their mind too. People have ten million tabs open in the browsers of their brain. All it takes is a little bit of understanding to make sure I am not the reason the other person bursts into flames.
Was it like that when I broke contact with J? Not really, I was just hungry back then. But yeah, I was thinking about so many things. There was Jessup, there was the trauma from the rain, there was my gloomy future of singleness, there was loneliness, there was boredom.
I wish I had the ability to focus. I would have been supremely productive. But then, heh, I would not have been as intellectually astute.
Maybe I have ADHD. I have so many things in my mind. I always address different topics when conversing. I get lost in thought often. I'm impulsive.
What would the other Edward in other universes be doing?
Maybe one is a scientist. Another one is a doctor. Another one is a teacher. Another one is married to A, another one to J. Another one pursued P with all his might.
I guess the Edward married to J will be my favorite timeline. In another life, I would have loved doing laundry and taxes with her.
But Everything Everywhere All At Once also taught me to be contended with things. Each choice led me here and this is the universe I'm in. I can only look forward to the future of this universe, not in the futures of other universes.
What would my life have been if I stayed in Cebu? I would be hanging out with P often, maybe gotten close to her even more. Now, I'm a figment of her past. I'm not even in J's faintest memory.
This piece is my stream of consciousness. Its lack of direction is a metaphor for my mind. Chaotic. Unhinged. Usually, I make a framework for my write-ups, then I edit them, then I post. Now, fuck it, this is my stream of consciousness.
It's similar to what I do in a journal, I just write and write and write and write some more. Whatever be the content. The problem is there is no intellectual orgasm. There is no finish. No bang, to know when to clap.
That's the struggle with ADHD.
One way ADHD is portrayed in this movie is Evelyn's quest for silence...and her inability to know what to do with it. There are so many tasks I had to forego because I wanted to do them at a place for silence. Needless to say, I haven't found one. Or if I had, I would use the peace to sleep. Wow, that's ADHD with depression.
It took me a several minutes to write this piece. That's because I'm getting distracted by the other tabs open in my browser, by the fact that I'm writing this at the office with other people beside me, by all the other tasks I'm supposed to do etc.
Would the universe change if I did one act different? Prioritized one task over the other? What is the minimum amount of change necessary to produce a discernible difference in my life?
I'm tired, I want to rest.
I want to stop feeling everything everywhere all at once.

I've been thinking about indoor plants soooo much since I read Code Verde (which was still so good!) And now I want to know what sort of plants you think would suit each of the Tracy boys under the assumption that they're a great plant dad 😄💕 (if you are so inclined 💕💕)
Buckle up, let's go!
Assuming plant dad is a shared Tracy trait, I think Tracy villa would be quite the nursery! Now I will admit, houseplants are a hobby of mine, and I do love foliage and greenery. But I am in no ways an expert. So here are some possible headcanons for plantdad!Tracys. In truth, they probably have so much outside their windows…
I was indecisive on some of these, so I may have talked about both the plant I think they'd actually grow and the plant that matches their personalities symbolically.
Scott -
Pothos is a common name for a plant that is not a pothos species at all, but rather an epipremnum. These are a vining plant and quite common, but there is a gorgeous species called cebu blue that I think is spot on for Scott. They do have a blue green color that's just chef's kiss Symbolically, I think these match the kind of person that is a constant dreamer because of the way they will continue to grow and endure, creating lush waterfalls of color. They can be relentless. I think they are perfect for someone who reaches for the sky, because in the wild, they will climb up trees.
Also, they can develop fenestrations as they grow. I am not sure if this is true, but I have heard the theory that plant leaves develop those splits or holes in order to make sure the leaves below it still gets the light it needs, and if that doesn't sound like Scott to you, I don't know what does.
I think the practical side of him would enjoy plants that also have a use - so, he's got the basil, and rosemary and sage in sweet little pots by the kitchen windowsills… (did we just enter the cottagecore of TSOF? We might have).
Virgil - Virgil to me is a creature of the big leaves, the Aroid Connoisseur. I stand by what I originally wrote in Verde, which is that he'd be the one with the massive monstera (for which the same fenestration story applies). But in addition to monsteras … I also think he'd be into those large anthuriums, the upright philodendrons. He'd be into leaf shape, and the patterns created by the veining, and the fun textures created by the structures and diverse stems.
But since Virgil is passionate about so many things - lifting but also the precision of art, and engineering but also the release of music, and so on … I see him also have orchids, with a variety of flowers. He sees the beauty in so many things, so I think he'd appreciate the delicate nature of orchids too.
John - I have all over my fics that John's the hoya guy. It's in Verde, but I also have a little mini one shot called Inflorescence here. The hoyas are the ones I can keep alive, so they are the ones I think would do best with John's time away. By nature of the humidity, they would love Tracy Island since many hoya species are from Australia, tropical areas of Asia, and the Pacific Islands. You'll see hoya at vining species either trailing or climbing, often epiphytic hanging off branches of trees. For those not familiar with hoyas, they are sometimes called wax plants and they flower in little clusters (as you might have seen in some of my pictures). They are hardy and durable.
I'll admit, now that I've seen it a lot too, I can't quite separate him from being the one who likes cacti and succulents too, which matches his brand of chaos. He's a busy guy, so any plants he has would need to be able to handle a bit of distraction while he works on his 10 other passions and learns his siblings' too for the hell of it.
Gordon - He's our little naturalist, so I think Gordon in reality would be more a follower of aquaponics, and the types of plants that would do well in his aquariums. Some of these may overlap with his brothers', but his plants would be the ones that would help with his water purification. I think he'd have peace lilies and sygoniums and dracaenas and a PROLIFIC money plant, and probably so many propagations of his brothers' plants. He probably has a spider plant that looks like chaos incarnate with a ton of offsets that really should be separated, but she's his shaggy girl and he loves her.
Alan - I see Alan liking structural plants, the tenacious kind, like himself. Tall ones that grow vertically and baby plants that stay small. Palms and snake plants and aloe and jade, and plants with cool names like the 'samurai sansevieria', but his favorite is the one that looks like Shrek's ears.
I see Kayo being into dark foliage; there's a gorgeous alocasia she probably heard about from Virgil, called "Black Velvet" that feels soooo up her alley. There's a part of me that wants Brains to be into begonia and the many cultivars of. If plants were one of his passions, it just feels like something that would keep him interested since there's always so much happening in that side of the hobby. You know - why not? He's done an entire thesis on the Fibonacci sequence on his begonia escargot. And Grandma feels like calathea - color and patterns that are all about movement. <3

Duma-GET-me indeed!
This week, I was able to go to Dumaguete and take a break from all the pollution and stress that the city was crushing me with.
Don't get me wrong—I love the city. It's been my home for as long as I can remember, and waking up to the symphony of cars, jeepneys, and the lively chaos of my siblings gearing up for school serves as my daily wake-up call. There's something oddly comforting about it, almost like my own built-in alarm system.
Plus! I find joy in navigating the city's well-worn sidewalks, effortlessly making my way to malls whenever I need something I can't find elsewhere. Walking around, I like the sound of traffic and the random voices of people on the streets. These things have shaped the way I see life. Everything moves fast here, and if you're slow, you end up behind in the busy city life. Yet, it's in this hustle and bustle, within my umwelt, that I've found the essence of life—embracing the noise, finding beauty in everyday things, and cherishing the moments that might get lost in the city's lively rhythm.
Ok back to the main point! Dumaguete!
Planning this trip with my friends turned out to be a really cool experience. I carefully sorted out where we'd go, like Pulangbato Falls, the beach house, the boulevard, and Valencia, aiming for each place to be fun and different. My main goal was for all of us, especially my boyfriend (the main reason for the trip), to enjoy the fresh air away from the city. I imagined everyone just sitting, chilling, and listening to the trees talk—a sort of shared escape into our own separate worlds.
I had all these thoughts in my head because I'm someone who likes setting and reaching goals. I'm one to create a mental picture of how I want our adventure to be. However, the trip didn't go exactly as planned. It brought some unexpected drama and uncomfortable moments, a mix of challenges that turned out to be both testing and revealing to our friendship and my relationship.
The first day in Dumaguete left me feeling a bit down. I thought everyone would support my plans, but instead, we ended up arguing a lot, and I felt like we wasted time. At that moment, my envisioned shared escape seemed a bit shaken.
Surprisingly, though, these challenges led to us talking more, especially with my boyfriend. We shared feelings and concerns that we'd kept quiet about for months. This unexpected stuff brought us closer and made our connection stronger, turning a difficult situation into something that benefited us. Looking back, I'm glad for these challenges because they made our bonds stronger, and I don't regret anything about it.
Fastforward, Dumaguete offered a mix of experiences—from the refreshing breeze to the absence of busy traffic and the unique local foods that differed from what I knew in the city. Everything here felt like the opposite of the hustle I was accustomed to. Once, while lounging on the balcony with my friends, time seemed to stretch, creating a sense of extended tranquility, even though it was just a short 30 minutes.
In Dumaguete, life took on a distinct quality—an experience that felt like we were in a fishbowl. The surroundings, whether the trees, the birds in flight, or the chickens casually strolling around, gently enclosed us. This crafted an atmosphere of intimacy, like quietly observing life through the see-through walls of a fishbowl. These subtle elements made four days feel like a laid-back month-long stay for us, to be honest.
I can't wait to be back in this paradise, as I felt and grew so much in it despite it being just for a few days. Even after arriving in Cebu, I felt like a completely different person because I left behind all the bad stuff in Cebu and found a better version of myself in Dumaguete.
Like the locals say, "Duma-get-me!," and Dumaguete really did get me in a good way.

shirai is my favorite weirdcore lesbian and the captain of my blaseball fanteam, the cebu chaos. she's filipino-japanese, she grew up in the core, they're very over-the-top and rambunctious to distract from the pressure it puts on itself constantly..... but they stay Sillay :3
it grew up w the mechs and that's where its love for blaseball began!! and then when she moved back to cebu with her mom she decided to put a team together. and the whole thing was a disaster (affectionate)!!
they founded the team along with daiya mango, their cousin/surrogate sibling, and ogden underbuck, their mutual childhood best friend. daiya and shirai are..... a force to be reckoned with, they're sort of just a Disaster Whirlwind in which the shared braincell is reduced to nought, but the two of them are very close. and they both consider ogden family too, even if that family dynamic is making him feel like the eldest brother/exhausted single dad for all of the shit he has to pick up for them lmao
anyway i can't talk about the whole team or we'll be here forever but!!! they're a bunch of rapscallions, they're the worst (affectionate). putting together the team is shirai's pride and joy. gee i sure hope nothing tragic happens that would affect that happiness !! :)))
