Today in Spring = Brain Goes rrrrrrrrRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRrrrrrrr: I have started a close watch of the whole, uncut series so I can make a list of all the scenes (with timestamps) missing from the first five seasons on CBC Gem. I'm seeing bits I've never seen before, like Murdoch commenting that George smells like lavender. Of course he does. My beloved.

I was asked today about Sisi (2021)'s second season being available in English in the US. So I googled and I couldn't find anything about PBS but I stumbled across the Canadian streaming services that carries the series: CBC Gem. Since I am in Germany, I can't access their offerings. If someone knows if they include English subtitles, it would be great if you let me (and all my followers) know.

Fakes (prod. David Turko).
Starring local actors Emilija Baranac and Jennifer Tong and explicitly set in the suburbs of West Vancouver, the CBC/Netflix co-production is a real treat to watch. Revolving around the premise of a pair of high school best friends starting a fake ID empire on a whim, episodes find them getting deeper and deeper into trouble in mostly comical fashion.
What’s most remarkable about the generally lighthearted fun had is the sense of actual stakes when the mid-level but still serious criminal elements start to build. Furthermore, both lead characters have key family and personal details that flesh out their ill-advised motivations and taste for danger. Fakes remains surprisingly sophisticated while maintaining a breezy sense of situational comedy.

Virgins! on CBC Gem
I encourage everyone who has access to CBC Gem to watch this show.
The episodes are really short (about 10 minutes each) but it's such a great show.
It's about a group of four Canadian girls of East African descent navigating life as single women.
I really hope CBC renews it for a second season

I love this, I truly do! This also made me realise, I'm still not ready to say goodbye to Kim's Convenience!

Colin from Accounts - Season One [2022] on CBC Gem
Colin from Accounts is a great Australian comedy series. However, Is it worth the 100% on Rotten Tomatoes? Not sure.
On paper, it’s a predictable show and material. But like the best romantic comedies, the chemistry between Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer and the particularities they bring to their characters elevate the whole thing.
In fact, there’s a lot of messy behavior and raunchy humor…
