Castlevania: Nocturne Animated Spinoff Trailer

Dive into the darkness with the Castlevania Nocturne trailer and prepare for a vampire-hunting adventure like no other. 🌕🦇 Netflix’s Castlevania series wrapped up the show for good, but it won’t be the last time the legendary franchise graces the small screen. During Netflix’s Geeked Week livestream today, Castlevania’s principal creators confirmed that a new show is in the works and will spotlight Richter Belmont. Castlevania: Nocturne is set in 1792 during the French Revolution. Apart from Richter Belmont, fans can expect the introduction of a new character who, too, is part of the Belmont bloodline: Julia Belmont, voice-acted by Sophie Skelton (Outlander, Day of the Dead: Bloodline). A teenage vampire hunter, Maria Renard, was also teased by director Samuel Deats. Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades will be making their return in the form of flashbacks.  Richter is one of the more prolific Belmonts in Castlevania lore. Debuting in 1993’s Castlevania: Rondo of Blood (perhaps better known to Westerners as Castlevania: Dracula X),  he’s a young but powerful descendant of Simon Belmont and a master vampire killer. During Rondo of Blood, he rescues Maria Renard, a 12-year-old orphan, spellcaster/vampire huntress, and distant relative of the Belmont Clan, who serves as a secondary playable character. Keep in mind that Rondo of Blood also takes place in 1792. The series will likely take some inspiration from that game’s events the way the previous show draws its story from Castlevania III.

The Resurrected Shadows Part 2:

Chapter two: Thief 

Olrox had just returned to Mizrak, who had been searching for him all over town. As they strolled through the cobblestone streets, an unusual sensation washed over Olrox. Initially dismissing it as the lingering effect of his peculiar encounter with the dying vampire child, it wasn’t until Mizrak pointed it out.

“Where’s your earring, Olrox?” Mizrak inquired, his gaze fixated on Olrox's ear. Panic seized the Aztec vampire as he realized his gold earring with an embedded emerald was missing, one of the few mementos salvaged from his conquered people.

“How could I not have noticed?” Olrox wondered, a sense of disconnection settling upon him. “Ah, it must’ve been that little dying vampire. She was a peculiar one. I’ll meet you back at home; go ahead.” Olrox's tone left no room for inquiry, but Mizrak, ever understanding, warned him against unleashing chaos on the town just for an earring.

Returning to the alley where he encountered the enigmatic child, Olrox found her missing. Shifting into mist form, he combed the small town until he located his elusive prey. Emerging behind her, he whispered, “Why hello there, little one. I see you’ve found a new plaything.”

Olrox loomed over the petite vampire, estimating her height at around 4' 11". She taunted him about aristocrats and their supposed lack of accountability. To his surprise, she revealed Olrox's obsidian knife – a possession he hadn't realized was missing.

Snatching back both the earring and the knife, Olrox deduced that the vampire, named Xiao, wasn’t dying; instead, she had attempted to take her own life. The question lingered – why? She seemed no older than fifteen.

“Child, where did you come from?” Olrox demanded, slamming her against a wall when she attempted to walk away. “When I address you, you respond?” he added, emphasizing his authority.

In response, Xiao glared defiantly. “You know, I couldn’t really care less if you died, right? I mean, you didn’t care earlier when I was ‘dying,’ so you let your guard down. Now you want to kill me for what? Offending you because you’re a rich vampire dragon? And frankly, because no one would care if you died? Don’t think no one knows you're not around here. Olrox, was it?”

The child snickered at Olrox’s mortified expression. “Well, considering you know my name, what’s yours, little thief?”

“Xiao.”

“Xiao what?”

“Why do you want to know? It’s not like you care, asshole. And last I checked, you don’t even have one yourself.”

“Can you answer the damn question?”

“RAHHHH!”
