Candy

Candy was a Sunset Strip Glam Pop Band who were contemporaries of bands such as Poison, Faster Pussycat, Guns N' Roses, Jetboy, The Zero's, Femme Fatale, D' Molls and others. Gilby Clarke replaced original lead vocalist, Kyle Vincent, then went on to join Kill for Thrills, Guns N' Roses, Slash's Snakepit, became a producer, and is still an active musician today.

“Sanvean - I Am Your Shadow” by Lisa Gerrard. I’ve been fortunate enough to see Dead Can Dance twice in concert, and her once on a solo tour, and every single time this song absolutely moved me to tears. Her use of her voice as an instrument and without actual lyrics (most of the time) has always been absolutely stunning to me, and live it absolutely tears through you. I will always treasure the memory of those three shows.

“Alice” by the Sisters of Mercy. Letting my goth past show here, but this song always delights me. The delivery of the lyrics, the sound of the music, the ending “no!” It’s fantastic.

17:A song that would sing a duet with on karaoke

“Candy” by Iggy Pop. I don’t really sing or do karaoke, but I feel like I could pull off Iggy’s part here. The way Kate Pierson just wails on this is always beautiful, and I would love to share a space with someone who could hit that.
