Happy Wip Wednesday, all!

I managed to produce some words like, literally five minutes ago for this specifically from the Neighbours!AU! I didn't even read it over and it's very short, so, sorry for any mistakes!!

His pup isn’t a fan of being in people’s arms but he apparently doesn’t mind it when it’s Alex. David goes easily and licks Alex’s face excitedly. He doesn’t try to throw himself off of Alex’s arms like he does with him.  “He usually doesn’t like that.” Henry points out.  “Maybe when it’s you because you’re all the way up there!” Alex waves a hand towards his head. “He’s a short king like me, we’re safer closer to the floor. Right David?”  Of course, David barks because he has pledged his loyalty to Alex since the moment they met and he lets Henry know constantly.

WIP WEDNESDAY

so I’m late because look at the banner!!! (I am way more proud of that than I ought to be lol)

Serving up a little something special from Little Drummerboy CH 3.

READ: CH 1 | CH 2

There is a lot of pressure to say something important then. To communicate something more than just having a good time or being heartbroken. Alex knows that it's pretentious to say so, but he knows Henry agrees. They spend Valentine's Day ripping into bad love songs that are too redundant to effectively say anything. It devolves into talking about their favorite love songs after one too many comments on overused words and tired chords. Alex still feels a little squirmy when he thinks about the way Henry sat down at the piano, well into the early morning of the fifteenth, and crooned out “Can’t Help Falling In Love” while playing softly on the piano. It doesn’t matter that it came about from an argument. Alex didn’t want to think about the thirty minutes before or after that performance. All he wanted to think about is how there weren’t eighty thousand people on a stage claiming it was sung for them, to them. That night under the swirling stars of Orion and the ever chasing Scorpius, it was music just for Alex and nobody else.

here’s a tiny snippet of the bridgerton au that i am working on for the Big Bang. hopefully i can take a little break from it and be able to show you something else soon.

“He has got nice lips has he not? I notice that you have been looking.”

“What is it that you are getting at,” Henry snaps, suddenly on the defensive, trying to stop the heat from rising in his cheeks as he starts to get all flustered - thretting that the game could be up.

Bea is over to him in an instant, taking hold of his hand reassuringly. “It’s okay Henry. If I am being honest, I have also seen Alex’s eyes wandering to other men.”

Henry’s eyebrows shoot up as he says, almost horrified, “He’s been what?”

Bea’s smile just grows. “Especially you, Hen. I think he also might think that you have pretty lips. Ones that even I am very jealous of. At the races when you two were bickering and in a heated debate, it felt like the rest of us did not exist.”

hiya! so i've never watched eastenders but thanks to your blog i've become invested in ballum lol. Was wondering if you had an idea on the best way to watch their stuff? Maybe youtube compilations or do I need to watch years worth of episodes? And will anything make sense if I just start watching current eps? (Sorry for the long ask!)

oh this makes me so happy!!!! i always love to hear it cos other blogs are how i fell down the rabbit hole again after nearly a year or so away from the show :D

the best way to watch their stuff, especially older stuff, is youtube imo. i've saved this post from @callumsmitchells that has links to their storyline so far. 2022's link no longer works cos YT is a rude jerk, but if you type ballum 2022 into youtube, you'll see a few other playlists with this year's episodes. i also use this website, which is fantastic and allows you to download the full eps too if that's something that interests you.

with the nature of soaps and the history they bring, i do think you're gonna be a bit lost starting the current eps as is. but if you're just after ballum, i think you could catch up on the YT clips from the beginning [it really doesn't take that long i promise lol] and then start the current stuff. even after watching a bunch of years before Max's Ben came along, there were some references and stuff i needed to look up and learn about, plenty of characters i had never met until i went back and started watching some of the classic episodes and reading the wikias. you can also ask someone in the fandom, they [and sometimes I] are a wealth of knowledge and they are all so lovely and someone is bound to have the answer <3

I am ALIVE! I've had a dreadful cold for like a week and a bit and I'm finally getting better. I'm really sorry about all the tags I missed this past week!

This is a very random snippet from the neighbours!au that just appeared to me from a conversation I was having with @brokenpartsmightfit about Henry's musical taste. We might not be able to write but damn we can produce an a+ playlist in no time.

Without further ado, this is unchecked, unedited, just something ranom that came to me while I was walking my dog. Enjoy Bea embarassing Henry in front of Alex and and forgive any errors!

“Remember that summer you discovered What’s up? by 4 Non Blondes?” Bea asks much to his embarrassment and Henry just groans and covers his face because he knows there’s no way she’s going to stop. “So the five of us are driving down to our dad’s house in Wales and the song comes up on the radio. Henry looked like he just discovered Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. He asks if anyone knows the song, I tell him and dad has the terrible idea of informing him he actually has the album up in Llwynywormwood. He wouldn’t listen to anything else that summer. It was a nightmare.”  “I can’t believe you even remember that. You never said anything.”  “You were thirteen years old! I wouldn’t have dared! I had to stop Philip sneaking into your room to break the CD while you were in the shower once! Eventually dad got you an mp3 player when he went into the city to do the food shop. I swear it was the first and last time Pip didn’t complain about not getting a present when someone else did.”

I'm finally done with my short course, so more time for fanfic! Here's another lil snippet from my bigender Alex fic:

‘What’s got you so smiley?’ Alex drops his phone in the duvet, flustered by Henry’s sudden appearance. He didn’t hear him even come into the room, nevermind to the bed.  ‘Jesus tits, you scared the crap out of me.’ ‘I’m sorry, love.’  Henry slides under the duvet, rubs down Alex’s arm and places his hand in Alex’s. Alex feels his insides go all gooey as Henry brings his hand to his lips, eyes never leaving Alex’s, and places a kiss on his knuckles.  ‘Now will you tell me what’s got you smiling?’  Alex groans into Henry’s shoulder before grabbing his phone from amongst the sheets.  ‘I was looking at the pictures from Halloween.’
