Calador Erskine, aka the Cannibal, and leader of the Leal'Dhearg and the base have received their first coat of paint.

I always imagined him as some kind of dark knight (but mit in a positive way), that's why his clothes are kept dark mostly.

Bottom row:

This figure of Lias is about 3 or 4 years old and I never was happy with it. Now that I've redesigned her clothes (for like the hundredth time), I want to update the figure as well. I hope that she will come closer to the current concept that you can see in the picture 😊

Not your Captain

The Weasley clan were well-known by anyone who sailed the seas and any port they had stopped by. Their pirate empire had grown slowly. First, it was a couple with their crew, sailing the seas and stealing from the rich and corrupt.

As their empire expanded through their kids, they became more renowned. When they came of age, every one of them gained their own ship and started building their crew. With every ship added to their fleet, the more fearsome they became. You knew when their ships showed up together, you were done for.

But that only happened every so often. Usually, they were split up, sailing the seas on their own as Captains of their own ships. Not that they couldn’t wreak havoc by themselves; each of their children was not to be messed with.

And their youngest and only daughter, Ginny, was also not to be messed with. The pretty face and short stature had misled more than a few men, and they’ve all had to pay for it. She was as ruthless as the rest of them. What she lacked in strength, she made up with guts.

They all had their region they frequented and she stopped at the port of Caladore quite often. Not only was it a good place to trade, it had the most excellent fish to buy and with that, a most excellent fisherman.

All of Nika’s Boyz together. It’s definitely not a competitive force, but it’s enough for a proper bash-up. Also, we’ve got the archeo-theologian Lara Nika, later acclaimed as one of several Saint Nikas of the Troias Cluster. Most of the sacred texts speak of her use of dual pistols, but she was also known to have used at least one power sword, Ex Calador. We also have Squaddie Nerph (heavy sniper) and Sergeant ‘Bee” Beatrice (sniper). Nominally from the Troian 77th Siege, these two have been indefinitely seconded to Inquisitor Andominia.

The non-orks are all from Hasslefree Miniatures (Lara, the dwarves don’t seem to available anymore), though I did replace Lara’s right arm with a spare from Victoria Miniature’s Tannenburg Fusiliers, since I was having serious trouble with that connection point. Love Hasslefree, but you’ve got to pin the arms on some sculpts. Also, I painted her with pants, though that khaki is probably still a bit too close to the skin color I used.

I think it will probably be the fourth attempt with the black cloth. This is the closest to my original idea of him as a mixture of a black knight and a motorcyclist.
