#caitie speaks
I wonder if the people who were saying that dunmeshi doesn’t sexualize any of the female characters and so fans shouldn’t make horny fanart about them have realized what show they’re actually watching now with the latest episode and Falin’s lovingly animated chicken breasts.

Regarding the GeorgeNotFound Situation
This entire conversation should not have happened publicly.
It was clear from Caiti's initial post that there was a breakdown in communication rather than any "assault" or "molestation." In her own testimony, she never described explicitly stating no, nor giving any indication besides "getting up" to stop the attention (which was later disproved).
That does not mean she wasn't uncomfortable. That does not mean she was not hurt by George's actions. It also does not mean George is a molester because of it.
From Caiti and George's statements, it is clear that this took place over a couple of hours (3-4), and besides the texting afterward, there were no further physical interactions between them. To use a single incident to describe George's behavior is a stretch at best and downright misinformation at worst. In the Wilbur situation, the violations of Shelby's boundaries happened over months with repeated attempts to tell him to stop.
In George's situation, it happened over four hours, in which there were no explicit tells to stop.
That said, I do hope George takes this incident and rethinks his behavior with strangers. Even if it should not be described as molesting, it still hurt Caiti, and if I were him, I would make strides to not repeat the mistakes made here.
Moreover, I think that some parties involved should not have been. Some individuals used the volatile situation to spread their own hate toward the Dream Team. They used Caiti's story to push their own agenda, which, in no way, is supporting a victim. Her friends should have helped her find closure by seeking reconciliation from her "abuser;" instead, they made the situation a public massacre where she would most likely be harassed after already feeling vulnerable.
My hope is that, behind the scenes, the two will talk about what happened and try to find peace. George clearly did not know he hurt Caiti, and he apologized for making her feel uncomfortable. That does not make him a villain: it makes him a person who made a mistake.
The moral of this whole fiasco is not to support or not support victims. Support can be weaponized for personal gain, and to support blindly is almost as bad as not supporting at all.
Instead, we need to listen. From the beginning, Caiti's story was a plea for an apology from George, and all she needed was George's apology (which she received). She did not need people calling him an abuser, she did not need her friends to utilize her pain to attack George's friend Dream, and she did not need people to pry into both her and George's life for answers.
All of this could, and should, have happened off-screen where the two parties could reconcile and heal.
To Caiti: I wish this had not happened to you. I am sorry you are in pain, and I am sorry your friends used your pain for their gain. I hope you find peace from George's apology, and if you do not, I hope you find peace in life.
To George: I wish this did not happen in the public light. Your mistake did not need to be publicized and scrutinized and instead should have been between you and Caiti. I hope you will help Caiti find peace, and if she does not want it, I hope you grow as a person and do not make this mistake again.
As of right now, this blog will remain positive about the Dream Team. I probably will not be supporting George enthusiastically right now (since I want to be certain this isn't a repetitive behavior and just one incident). However, I will be happy to talk about any fandom content regarding him and the other members.
It has been a rough few days, and I am grateful for the lovely positivity we created between my anons and followers. I give you all many squishes of happiness. Thank you for being kind.
Now, let us all move on to a better and brighter future in this fandom. We have a lot of content coming up, and I'm very excited. Feel free to send any asks regarding the situation; I would love to read your opinions.
TL;DR This conversation should have happened off-camera. Caiti's story should not have been used for clout, and George should not have been attacked for clout. Both need to heal off-camera, and we should support that.

Shinsou had a crush on you since like, young kids days and never thought you noticed him, but that was good cause maybe you thought he was a weird kid, so once he beefed up and finally got the confidence to talk to you it gets shut right tf back down when you're like "Of course i remember you!"
I don't know which part is worse............................ Shinso being so absorbed in his own supposed loser-hood in his youth that he essentially ignored you for 5-10 years while he was working out his self esteem issues ... or the fact that you not only DO remember him, berry well at that, but don't really think anything of it because you thought HE was kinda... a jerk for never being nice to you back.
(Cuz on one hand, you're so sweet, smiling at him when he approaches you, genuinely, just like you did back when you were both under ten and you'd smile at him from the other side of the park... but on the other hand, you don't hesitate to turn right back to your own friends after he barely manages to answer your "how have you been" question and you give him pity eyes like you still think he's a shy headass.
It's just... he doesn't want to fuck it up a second time and lose his momentum... but all the confidence he put into the moment deflated the second he realized you were even more beautiful and more kind than he remembered you and it got him tripping over his words)
ANYWAY then there's another 2-4 months of him trying to get your number just to be a fool over text before even managing to convince you he's worth a fucking damn LOL.
(And he is worth a damn, so much more than a damn because he's willing to give anything and everything up for you but... doesn't know how to say it in a way that wouldn't scare you off for good...
Not to mention he's so fucking bad at texting. Yes, his dry humor is funny as hell but he's not trying to be funny with you, he's trying to WOO you and so the whole thing is just him making excuses to reach out to you even tho texting first for him is like plucking ass hair.)

do you guys ever think about how different the content creator space be if people talked things out between themselves before going onto social media platforms with huge followings of people who’ll defend them to the ends of the earth and labeled someone else something that will forever change every single creator involved and the community’s perception of them over something that just might possibly be a uncomfortable misunderstanding

Just so we clear: GeorgeNotFound stans who are actually acting like Caiti should remember every single detail about what happened and perfectly word it and somehow provide filmed proof of what George did (because how else do these people expect proof besides Caiti suddenly pulling a phone out to film George), are actually beyond disgusting and are showing their true colors on how they'll treat victims around them, especially if they happen to be victims of people they like.

george is someone that gets heavily touched and grabbed by his friends. they slap his ass, they grab his nipples, they grab his waist and hips. he lets them know when he isn’t about it, he verbally tells them to stop touching him and he pushes them off. we know this because we basically see it happen everytime he’s on camera. so for him, speaking up or moving away is no big deal. i think it’s so easy to take your experience with things like that kind of unwanted touch and project it to others experiences - it makes sense because that’s your life and how you process things so your automatic thought is not “maybe someone would handle this differently than me.” he clearly misread the situation but once she did verbally/physically show she was not interested, he backed off. i do think he messed up but he also showed that he respected her by not pushing it once he realized. and i think people are being incredibly harsh on someone who made a mistake that he was not aware of. caiti’s feelings are very valid and people are also not treating george for who he is, someone who misread social cues (which every single person in the world does)
i honestly had not thought about it in this way but anon you’re completely correct. he is always around touchy people and is touchy himself, very used to being told or telling others to stop. everyone’s actions come from a place of experience like that’s just how it works, and his misunderstanding is no different.

finished watching caitis vod and im glad so many victims are finding the strength and courage to share their stories and im glad that so many of them are speaking out to help others like them find their own voice like when caiti mentioned shelby gave her strength to speak out its bittersweet that these types of stories are coming to light and with such frequency but its also important they are coming out and not left unsaid and these people arent free to live without any consequences or repercussions for the disgusting things they do

This was hours ago but it's only just popped up on my dash for me but Rue bothers me so much (in reference to one of your anons discussing her)
Her initial post, after Dream posted a response that made me tear up as someone who's been in an abusive relationship, cut to her saying we don't want you here. Meanwhile she offered no words of support of her own (that I can remember, and if she did its been overshadowed by everything she's said and done since)
Meanwhile his post was the most powerful of any of the ones people made. Someone with a huge platform standing hand in hand with someone and offering such genuine words. And all she could say was get your brownie points somewhere else
Theres a tumblr post floating around how we need to stop caring if people's good actions are done for the right reasons cause if we police that, we'll see less good in the world and Rue sums that up perfectly
I don't care if *you* don't want Dream there, *I* do. I don't speak for Shubble, but between Shubble and Dream's posts after Wilbur's response I damn well near cried cause they hit so close to home. They were both the words of victims, spoken from a place of solidarity and pain. Rue essentially added nothing to the conversation but freaking people out. What she contributed too was a week of unnecessary pain and triggering people and causing a mass exodus and in the end only hurt caiti. Rue claims to speak for victims but she's part of the group of people that have made everything worse. She was reactionary and her actions didn't bring a single good thing to anyone
And again, beating the point to death about how she had more to say about George than Wilbur
It comes off as clout chasing and disingenuous. Sure, George fucked up. But it seems to have been a genuinely mistake vs Wilbur's very deliberate abuse and it's gross to paint the two scenarios with the same brush. I hope she's able to get help after whatever she experienced with wilbur, and I hope through time and reflection she's able to acknowledge her own wrongdoings
But as it stands right now, Rue clearly can't handle having a platform and she needs to go offline for a while. She is part of a problem whether she acknowledges it or not and something has to give sooner or later
honestly i have nothing to add to this you said it very well anon!

right. so considering how this person talked about things (using wilbur and george as main examples, even liking a tweet of someone pointing out the irony of one of wilburs songs saying not to trust british men, notably someone who immediately believed the allegations against tubbo) its incredibly likely that this was someone whos bitter about wilbur and/or george and wanted to discredit shubble and caiti (not to mention others like lexie and andi who have also come out with their stories) as "allegations with no evidence". notably they point out the AI not acting like a boy, but nothing about the story implies the victim is a boy, its the profile having a woman's name, and since their account existed before this i dont think they had chatgpt come up with their username for this.
shubble and caiti didnt have "no evidence". they both had friends who could corroborate their stories, and even people who previously associated with the creators were able to confirm things. shubble's story actively mentioned wilbur hurting her in front of their shared friends, other ccs had experience with him biting or otherwise being rough with them, several ccs admitted that he was a horrible person to them too, wilburs ant infestation was talked about before shubble mentioned it in her story, several of shubbles friends were aware of her experience before she talked about it publicly. caiti's story included something personal about george (the tickling kink) that only people who had experience with him knew about (from what i know), george has openly admitted to not caring about hurting his friends on camera, and others were able to confirm that george talked inappropriately about them as well. wilbur and george both actively responded to each story even without their names being said because the stories were familiar enough to them that they didnt need to be said. they knew it was about them just based on what the victims said they were like.
its extremely fucked up to make a social experiment out of all of this, and i dont think it was really a social experiment out of any sort of academic interest in the first place. its a fake story made up to make actual victims seem unreasonable and dumb for coming out and being believed based on what this person believed was word alone. the very fact that they either didnt notice or just left in the obvious contradictions with the set up (accusing a gay man who cant drive of assaulting a girl while driving her home from a party in the pandemic, which he didnt leave his house during) actively shows that they believe the actual victims' stories are as "dumb" as this and genuinely believed that they didnt have actual weight to them. they truly did think there was "no evidence", that people were just spreading around baseless stories and taking them at face value, that no one even thought of innocent before guilty.
the only people who need to learn are the ones behind this story. but if there is anything to learn about on others ends, its to be aware of people like this who will discredit the victims' and accuse their stories of being dumb and lacking evidence, who will defend abusers with "innocent until proven guilty" while also targeting actual innocents. have actual victims in your heart and mind and dont let shit like this deter you from what actually matters: continuing to support real victims and paying attention to the issues that they bring up about misogyny, abuse of power, and the dangerous culture surrounding how victims are treated in this community by diehard fans of their abusers. this fake story and the mindset of the people behind it only shows just how far some people will go to try and discredit and downplay what shubble speaking up has started to do for this community

hey friends hope everyone's doing well!! these past few weeks have been filled with a lot of readjustments and reflections on certain parts of my life, but it's been fulfilling and it's been necessary. although i've been off of mcytblr, i've kept up with what's been happening in the fandom, and i'm happy to see this community having important discussions around abuse, assault, power imbalance, and parasocialism.
what's been made abundantly clear as more and more people speak up about their experiences with certain content creators within the space is that we truly do not know any of them. it's something we've talked about time and time again, but truly this has been a wake-up call for hopefully not just me, but for all of us.
i've also noticed a lot of victim blaming that has occurred as these incidents are brought to light (not necessarily within mcytblr, moreso from the general public and horrible people who are trying to ride off of the drama). while i hope no one here is feeding into this harmful rhetoric and proving exactly why these people were initially too scared to speak up, it's important to remind everyone that abuse and assault does not just fit into one mold and diminishing other people's experiences that you deem "not bad enough" makes you no better than the people who do not care regardless.
support shelby, alice, caiti, andi, and every other person who has or will come out and expose the terrible actions committed by content creators in this space. support victims, always. remain kind and compassionate and continue to show empathy first and foremost. these victims do not want your sympathy, they just want to be heard and initiate a long-overdue discussion. don't take away or diminish their voices.

This is obviously gonna be more for manga readers but anime viewers can also answer based on characters they’re familiar with so far, please be a little vague in the notes when mentioning any later manga spoilers.

Just finished the Twitter Space:
Nothing new was said, and I think everyone involved feels rightfully upset.
He reiterated my points that he wishes they had come to him and felt comfortable. He recognizes this is a single mistake and he hopes George never does something like this again.
I think we should all step back from this now. It isn’t our business how this gets handled, and we should move on to do fandom things while the CCs sort this out behind the scenes.
We will most likely have Sapnap streams soon, which I’m v excited! We also have the titan thing in the works, so let’s keep an eye out for that.
We will be fine, y’all. Caiti and George will be fine. Unclench ur jaw and read some fanfic :)

Dream having more to say after George’s response truly boggles me, because really, what would you say that’s more important to say after the response than before? Whether he’s magically innocent or not, what would you say after that you wouldn’t say before? Because he said he didn’t know of anything behind the scenes already, so what more does he have to add?
I assume what he has to add is dependent on what George says. He said George told him he'd be making a statement. But made absolutely no moves to speak for or back George. Simply established his own perspective on the night as per everything he personally knew. And it's ridiculous how this somehow ended up at throwing rocks at Dream and hiding. People were melting down about Dream being an enabler before Caiti spoke up and before they ever condemned George directly. And are still tweeting full Dream Team and trying to insist the friends of a criminal are just as bad. Like it's abnormal. Acting like Dream is in the wrong for responding to their consistent bullshit about him isn't fair. No one has acted like this about Wilbur's close friends even though Shelby said some of them absolutely knew.
Anyways because Dream's response before wasn't a response to George but correcting the misconception that he somehow orchestrated this whole event as he was essentially accused of last August master manipulator is still something I'm seeing in tweets. Anything Dream says after is actually going to be a response to George and what we need to pay attention to. But same with Wilbur he's the guilty party and his friends aren't responsible for his actions.
