Branning’ blackmailed the partner of a Murdoch journalist into making a covert sex video later found hidden behind the washing machine of GB News star Dan Wootton

The victim only became aware of the connection between Branning and Dan Wootton after Byline Times unmasked him as a serial catfish who has used various online identities to trick and bribe scores of men into revealing compromising sexual material.

This newspaper revealed how the 40-year-old broadcaster... targeted journalistic colleagues, friends and members of the public for at least 10 years, offering sums of up to £30,000 “tax free” to his targets, many of whom were heterosexual men.

What a sicko. I hope that the police will do a thorough investigation, but I would hold my breath since the royalist/tory bunch seems to be fond of protecting predators.

6-- What's the mood or emotion you most like to evoke with your fic or AU? How do you try to evoke it?

I think… longing? And in love? I really wanted to show how much it was affecting Gigi having Crystal not be there for something so important and how hard the distance was, but also just… the kind of carefree all-encompassing love that works so well for crygi stories :)

17-- Does your fic/AU have a music playlist you associate with it?

I actually don’t have a playlist for this one??? Which is crazy I love making playlists :( but I listened to a lot of assorted playlists of songs that figure skaters have performed to at the past few Olympics, as well as an assortment of ABBA, with a particular focus on the Spanish language albums 😉 (iykyk)

23-- Give us one weird fact about your fic/AU.

The purple dress Gigi wears in competition is based on one of my favorite Olympic skating dresses ever, the butterfly dress Karen Chen wore for her free skate at the 2022 Olympics <3 it was designed and made by her mom and it is just. So breathtaking to me I love that dress so much <3

So someday there might be a spin-off about this if you play your cards right (if I stop being a big coward baby) but for now I will just say. Both Jaida and Nicky are competitive figure skaters in this universe. 😉 😘

Cannot believe that Slate has more advice columns than ever before and all of them suck now.

They cannot afford a single person who understands why people used to read their advice columns, apparently. If you're not good at giving advice AND you're not funny or genuinely fun to read, why are they paying you?

I feel almost obligated to assume that someone in charge of them doesn't understand why people read advice columns.

#to be abundantly clear I disliked Daniel too #I've NEVER liked his writing even before Slate and was always politely befuddled that people thought he was SO FUNNY #but he got the job at Slate and morphed immediately into someone achingly sincere at all times #They've gone to great lengths to get you to click on advice columns without showing you who wrote it now #But Daniel's advice was so unfunny AND boring and often incredibly clueless I don't been a byline to pick it out #To put out a Dear Prudence book and he's at the helm? Violence #Also i take back almost everything nice I've ever said about the sex advice column #they've badly fumbled like 8 out of the last 20 letters and I think they've been told to not give X kind of specific advice #Jenee is like 10x better than Daniel was and she's STILL not particularly funny or interesting #but at least she understands human motivations and calls people out on their BS

All it took was Ragnar clutching at Athelstan's knee for a few minutes and saying, "I want you to come back (to Kattegat)" for Athelstan to sprint across the North Sea, leaving all his WIPs and King Ecbert back in Wessex. Dude's ready to risk it all after Ragnar bats his eyelashes at him a few times. Gotta respect it.
