Fun thought.
With people complaining how it’s not a ‘bell hell’s’ show anymore and how they didn’t get to do anything blah blah, I actually thought of LOTR
Yknow hobbits? Those little guys no one thought important? Cuz they can’t fight like elves or dwarfs or do magic like Gandalf or be Super Important like a secret king? Yeah those are our level 8 bells hells.
They’re not Voice of the Tempest or Secret Order Super Monk to fight corruption or a dunamatic wizard turning dragon.
They’re level 8.
But yknow what, they destroyed a key. They have connections. They have loyalty and friendship. They’re tough. They’re the little guys. And if people are gonna underestimate them? Well, we all know how the last story turned out.
I maybe be biased (I know an embarrassing amount about LOTR) but I think you're on to something anon.
Vox Machina and the Mighty Nein are powerful heroes who can shape the world around them. At this point, they're all basically demigods.
And then you have Bells Hells, a ragtag group of people who didn't quite fit anywhere else. And despite being so small in the overall scope of things, still stare down death with the same voracity as people huge power levels above them.
And that's what really makes them compelling. That's why this is their story, despite cameos and mentions of previous campaigns. Because while the old guard's spells and power are great, they are nothing in the face of this small group's sheer will.
And that's what campaign three is about.
No matter how small you are, and how limited your options seem, you always have the capacity to create change.
And to be fair, doesn't everyone seem small when facing the end of the world?

the way that romantic killer started with “watch this gamer girl get her life turned upside down in the name of love 😍😘😜” and ended with “no character is just a love interest or supportive friend. they all have their own personalities, their own pasts, their own depth and meaning. love is not something that can be forced or formulated; it’s conceived through mutual trust and understanding, through respecting each other and what we want. never underestimate the value of kindness, sincerity, and communication, and never forget the importance of platonic love and friendship”

male authors, writing m/m friendships: their bond will develop through hundreds of chapters, we will get to see each stage of their budding relationship, they'll constantly be in each other thoughts, their first instinct will always be to reach for the other, their first worry will always be the other's safety, they'll spend every minute of the day together, they'll be complete opposites and yet perfectly compliment each other, they will put everything they ever loved in risk just to keep the other safe, they will give their life without hesitation to save the other's, they will fight and argue and tease and joke around but they will always be at each other's side at the end of the day, they will plan to spend the rest of their lives together, sharing the happy moments and the hard times, the idea of being without the other being unthinkable, the thought of being always together coming naturally, as easy as breathing.
the same male authors, writing m/f romance: she'll like,, smile once at him and he'll start thinking of marrying her and having children with her idk

our happy ending
[ID: a digital painting. The left features a grey hourglass seen in the A Sorrowful Farewell at Curtain Call card sets. The sand is filled with orange star, pink heart, and green shell jewels. The bottom edge has been broken from the inside, spilling out the sand. Footprints lead towards the edge of the drawing, where Wonderlands x Showtime is walking together towards an orange light. They are wearing the outfits seen in the Our Happy Ending trained set. Text in the middle reads "I know the ending will be a happy one", the final lyric of the song "What Sort of Ending Would You Like?" /end ID]

i... honestly didn't think we would see a day where a suju member (or three) left sm. i can't blame them though. the sublabel seems to be getting dissolved with 3.0, and that was most of how they managed to get promoted to begin with (from my understanding, at least) after a certain point. best of luck to kyuhyun, eunhyuk, and donghae in the future!

mylene is so interesting to me bc like. she just chucks elico out as soon as she gets a mechanical replacement with macubass. and i think she's the only villain so callous about their guardian bakugan???
most villains still care about their bakugan and usually actually share the same goals and are on the same wavelength, birds of a feather and all that. like even characters like kazarina, cruel as she is, still are fond of their guardian bakugan. and theres characters like spectra and barodius who's plans center around their guardian bakugan, and are actively encouraged by those bakugan.
even characters who's guardian bakugan dont necessarily get along with them all the time, like avior and mason's constant bickering, are still friends. meanwhile mylene just. throws elico out. and also takes brontes from volt and throws him out as well. i think whats also interesting, since the show likes to bring up spectra and mylene parallels, is how spectra uses machines to upgrade and evolve helios, while mylene outright replaces elico with a machine.
but it's not like she's shown to be like. completely heartless either. she calls volt her friend even though she threw out brontes beforehand. she stands up for hydron when zenoheld takes his anger out on him. she has some weird friendship with shadow prove.
i think she was the vehicle to show the general vestal opinion on bakugan, since mylene only sees her bakugan as weapons and when she loses she blames the loss on them. (meanwhile i think volt is supposed to show that not all vestals are THAT bad, even if they are part of the king's entourage of fucked up teenage celebrity theatre kids). and i think she's very interesting bc of that. anyways i love mylene.

If you had to spend $100 at a restaurant for only you, what would you get?
hmm, there are so many options for this.
I think I'm gonna go with what we'd order if it was like, me and a few of our frequent fronters going for a meal at this restaurant because I'm not really sure what I'd order for myself but I know what other alters (mostly Lucy) would get me to try.
assuming it's a restaurant that serves anything we want, I think it'd be really fun to order a bunch of foods the system used to enjoy that we haven't had the chance to eat in a while. it'd give Lucy a chance to have some foods they've really missed, and since all our other frequent fronters haven't been around that long, it'd give us a chance to try some of the foods that other alters have told us about, and maybe chat about some of the nice memories associated with those foods.
the main things I can think of include:
the pizzas we used to get from a local takeaway (apparently they're just really, really good pizzas)
various Latin American foods from a restaurant we used to go to whenever we had birthday money and could justify treating ourselves
fries made the way our nanan used to make them, because we've never had ones made by anyone else that looked or tasted the same as those but apparently they were amazing
probably just like, a big bowl of paella
homemade tomato soup the way our mum made it when we were a kid
for dessert we'd probably have coffee & walnut cake, banana bread, and mango sorbet
drinks would probably include non-alcoholic shandy, Victorian lemonade (yes, the stuff I inhaled the other day), and virgin piña coladas
I have no idea if this actually adds up to $100 but oh well. they're all foods we have fond memories of or find comforting in some way and I think it'd be really nice to get to sit down and eat a bunch of them and have fun learning about some nice stuff from the system's past in the process
