Summary:
It is spring and Milva wants to have a bath. Yet, something goes terribly wrong. Lucky that she has her Hanza, and especially one Emiel Regis Rohellec Terzieff-Godefroy. For the Whumpay prompt #22 "Slowly running out of air", the Witcher Monster MAYhem prompts "Bulging Eyes", "Necrophage", "Surrounded" and "Fuck, there's another one" and the infinite Fluffbruary May prompt "Breathe"
Spring, what a wonderful season. Perhaps Milva's favourite one. Everything coming back to live after the long, cold sleep of winter, the birds singing and building their nests, flowers emerging everywhere and colouring the brown winter soil with dots and patches of pink, yellow, orange, purple and blue, rabbits hopping about and doing their rabbit things, unaware of the hunter hiding in the bushes and the swift arrows flying at them. Milva does not like killing those cute little creatures, but they need food, and Angoulême is right, they are all thoroughly tired of eating fish all the time. So, here she comes back to camp with three nice rabbits for their dinner. And while the men can do the skinning and cooking, she is going to have a glorious bath in the river Geralt, Regis and Cahir have agreed on must be the Lete. Not that the name really matters to Milva. What is important is that she can finally wash off the stench of winter, and thoroughly so without freezing her ass off. The water of the fast flowing stream is still cold, of course, but there are flat rocks on its bank and the sun is pretty strong already here in Ebbing, much stronger than further north where she comes from. The rocks feel pleasantly warm to the bare skin of her feet when she has gotten rid of her footwear. Her clothes follow suit and, with a big splash and a whoop, she leaps into the water ...

Bulging Eyes in Children: Identifying Symptoms and Seeking Pediatric Care
Symptoms of Bulging Eye in children can be a cause of concern for parents, often leading them to seek medical advice. Bulging eyes, medically known as proptosis or exophthalmos, occur when one or both eyes protrude from the eye sockets more than normal. While slight protrusion is common in some individuals and may not indicate a problem, pronounced bulging can signal underlying health issues that require attention.
Identifying Symptoms
Recognizing the Symptoms Of Bulging Eyes is crucial for early intervention and treatment. Some common signs to watch for in children include:
Elevated eye prominence: One or both eyes appear to protrude more than usual.
Swelling around the eyes: Inflammation or puffiness in the eye area can accompany bulging eyes.
Redness or irritation: Irritation of the eyes, along with redness, can indicate a potential problem.
Difficulty closing eyelids: Bulging eyes may make it challenging for children to fully close their eyelids.
Changes in vision: Blurred vision, double vision, or other visual disturbances may accompany bulging eyes.
If parents notice any of these symptoms in their child, it's essential to seek pediatric care promptly to determine the underlying cause and initiate appropriate treatment.
Seeking Pediatric Care
Pediatricians play a vital role in evaluating and managing bulging eyes in children. During a consultation, the doctor will conduct a thorough examination of the child's eyes and may recommend further diagnostic tests, such as imaging studies or blood tests, to identify the underlying cause.
Common causes of bulging eyes in children include thyroid eye disease, orbital cellulitis, eye tumors, and congenital anomalies. Prompt diagnosis and treatment are essential to prevent potential complications and improve the child's quality of life.
According to Dr. Raymond Douglas, a renowned oculoplastic surgeon, early intervention is crucial for Improving Bulging Eyes in children. In his practice, Dr. Douglas emphasizes the importance of personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
Dr. Douglas suggests that treatment options for bulging eyes may include medication, surgery, or a combination of both, depending on the underlying cause and severity of the condition. For instance, children with thyroid eye disease may benefit from medications to manage the condition and surgical interventions to address severe proptosis.
Furthermore, Dr. Douglas highlights the significance of ongoing monitoring and follow-up care to track the child's progress and adjust treatment as needed. By working closely with a pediatrician and other healthcare professionals, parents can ensure the best possible outcome for their child's eye health.
In conclusion, bulging eyes in children require prompt attention and appropriate pediatric care. By recognizing the symptoms early and seeking timely medical intervention, parents can help improve their child's eye health and overall well-being. Collaborating with healthcare professionals, such as pediatricians and oculoplastic surgeons, is essential for developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the child's individual needs.
