Sometimes I forget that there are casual Back to the Future fans. People who just watch it to have a fun time and who don't care about or notice the depth the films have. Like. I forget that Tumblr BTTF fans are a whole different breed.

I occasionally find BTTF posts on other social medias (mainly reddit) that leave me scratching my head. Saw a comment where someone made note of Marty being "just some kid Doc probably hired that week to be his cameraman at the mall." Another one where a person answered a question with something along the lines of, "Doc likely only knows Marty because he needed someone to test out the giant amp."

Just. So many people confused as to why Doc and Marty seem to care so much about each other when they've probably only known each other a short while, and isn't Marty just some random assistant??

There are really people watching these movies who think there is no history between Doc and Marty. They think they're practically strangers in the Twin Pines Mall scene and only grow to be friends over the week in 1955. There are people who look at the lengths Marty goes to to save Doc and ask, "But why does he care so much about some crazy old scientist??"

THEY THINK THIS IS THE BEHAVIOR OF A KID WHO WAS JUST HIRED TO BE A CAMERAMAN DAYS PRIOR.

also, lucas’ watch says the time is 2:12:18. but what about the number above that?? is it saying the date is 11/2 (november 2nd) or 11/12 (november 12th)??? because if it says november 2nd then i’m just thinking about that on the last november 2nd in stranger things is when will and mike have that conversation about the shadow monster and mike telling will he’s going to be safe…. if it says november 12th then that’s the date that will was rescued from the upside down….

So if you didn’t know, I headcanon Eric Stoltz playing Marty in the Hell Valley timeline (we never see him in the movie so you cant say im wroonnngggg). Since Biff shot and killed George when Marty was 4, Marty didn’t really know his dad. And ofc he hates Biff, so he just uses his mother’s maiden name. [And he only lets his fam call him ‘Marty.’ To everyone else, he’s ‘Martin’🫢]

I was only supposed to draw Stoltz!Marty for 3 frames. As you can see, I got carried away.

In the fanfic I'm working on, they'll meet but I don't think it'll go down exactly like this.

I took all the dialogue from Across the Spiderverse (except for the name ofc). I've had the rough sketches of this since last September (its January for future reference). I LOVED the movie and when I rewatched BTTF Part 2 I put 2 and 2 together and now we’re hereeee

Happy Back To The Future Day! Flashback to the Busted concert in Dublin that I went to a couple of weeks ago, where they were introduced to the stage by Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown! Doc returned to introduce Year 3000 as the final song (he had tried to get to 2023, but ended up in 3000), but I don't have footage~
