Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS): CAPS offers free and confidential counseling to all KCC ITM students. CAPS counselors can provide support with a variety of issues, including academic stress, personal relationships, and mental health challenges.

"Why did you choose Btech?"
"Why did you choose BTech? It's not a good career."
I have often heard this from friends, family, and random strangers I meet on trains and buses. Most engineering students may have had this experience at some point.
What makes a child dream of their career? When I was a child, I also dreamed of becoming a driver, a soldier, and a pilot. Because of the heroic and adventurous stories I heard.
Most of the members of my family have been in the construction industry. So I have always heard about that and I'm very familiar with it. But nothing made me want it as a career.
And when I was in 7th, I read the story of Punalur Hanging Bridge and Albert Henry, a courageous engineer.
Punalur is a town in Kollam on the banks of the Kallada River. It's a gateway to the Western Ghats. A bridge at Punalur is a necessity for trade, which later leads to the growth of both Kerala and Tamilnadu, but sadly also to the exploitation of the forests.
The bridge was built to prevent wild animals from entering the human settlements of Punalur, but also to allow the passage of vehicles. They built a hanging bridge that starts shaking when someone enters it, which is supposed to scare the wild animals away. The construction of the bridge was completed in 1877 under the supervision of Albert Henry.
It is said that the people had been reluctant to cross the bridge, so Albert Henry and his family went under the bridge in a boat while six elephants crossed the bridge to gain the people's trust.
Much of the British infrastructure was built to exploit India's natural resources, and there is much criticism of it. But as an individual, Albert Henry is a confident and courageous man who has a deep belief in his work.
Over the years, I have read about many engineers who have won people's hearts.
John Pennicuick, the man who ended the drought by building the Mullaperiyar Dam. And John Roebling, who completed the Brooklyn Bridge with the help of his wife Emily Warren, even after a terrible accident, are some of them.
When I started working as a site engineer, I understood that building something from scratch is not easy. It was blood, sweat, thought, and passion that turned into beautiful spaces. There were days when I had to walk 13 to 20 kilometers, stand for hours in the hot summer, and work until night when it was raining.
I often faced challenges as a girl. It is difficult for people to accept a girl as their superior. I wasn't even listened to. There were days I ended up crying. Sometimes I felt very isolated, But I have to overcome that. There is something in me that conquers fear and drives me towards more challenging things.
If you take that out of the equation, the kind of exposure I got was amazing. I have to deal with all kinds of people - workers, supervisors, seniors. I have learned things that are not taught in any school or college.
So, my bosom buddies,
Don't give anyone else the power to decide your productivity and success environment. You are the one to control.
You own the potential.
It's all you.

B Tech Credit Transfer: What is it?
B Tech Credit Transfer allows B Tech/B E students to transfer credits. This strategy students shift their credits from their current university to a new university. B Tech credit Transfer is Eligible if the students have failed subjects or incomplete course duration. By availing of the credit transfer program, students can transfer to universities without losing their credits. Also, they can complete their course at a new university approved by the UGC. The process of credit transfer is legally accepted by the UGC and the Central Government.
With the Credit Transfer Scheme, one can apply for a job in the same field or apply for higher education. Students can keep their existing credits and not lose them. Academics provide B Tech credit transfer only by UGC and AICTE approved by universities. Also, after completing your studies in engineering, you can apply for positions with the federal government or in the private sector by taking competitive tests like the UPSC, SSC, GATE, CAT, and Bank test. You can continue your higher education abroad after receiving a credit transfer from a WES-approved university. Even if you transfer from your present university to another university, it is still feasible to keep your credits.
The UGC universities and colleges' choice-based credit system explains the credit transfer process. Students who want to extend their studies or enjoy higher-quality education can use the B Tech credit transfer system.
