Finnegan Oakes (He/Him): Red fox soft kind boy. Wildlife photographer and trumpet player, and the carrier of many family legacies. Has a bit of an obsession with with historical aircraft, despite being avidly against war. A baker at heart (<3 with Omen)

Alex Lyn (She/Him): Spotted hyena washed out uni student who's finally figuring out his life. Avid hockey player, occasional strongman competition participant and ever sleepy. (<3 with Harlow)

Kiera (She/Her): Dragon sleazy cursed artifacts saleswoman. Actually the result of a god's divine punishment turned gender euphoria. While what she sells is cursed, she more realizes peoples fantasies while delivering justice to those who abuse their money

Lizzy (She/They): Taur arctic fox and the result of one of Kieras cursed artifact sales. Originally down on her luck, becoming a taur allowed her to capitalize on the novelty of being one to attract customers for a wide variety of services. Often appears at parties and is very well fed.

Lucy Diggs (He/Him): Rabbit loaded to the BRIM with trauma. Caught in a world constantly at war, given a new headmate with lightning powers and then quickly thrusted into the spot of figurehead for a freedom fighting rebellion to topple the system that perpetuates it he's being so brave about it.

Allison Dudz (She/Any): Albino alligator ex military soldier and mech pilot. Holds down a refuge in the abyss for those who walk it. Is actively on the run by a military force called ELIAS and the sort of kind of parental figure for Lucy. Another figurehead in the rebellion

(Currently Unnamed) (She/Her): Grey cat full of yuri related injuries. Also ex military but then she like kinda joined back in a way under a new name. Fought her way up the ranks to become the head of ELIAS

VUL-TURE (It/Its): Robot bounty hunter thats also a bit of a girlthing. Sucks at its job like really badly but tries its best. Has tried to assassinate the head of ELIAS twice to absolutely no avail

Hey there folks, this is where you can find stuff in the Stash. Not everything I’ve posted will be here, just works that are larger, that I’m fond of, or at least I think aged rather well.

Sorted by fandom (original fiction stuff will get its own post once more is ready), and then series. Multichapters will have a wordcount.

Mostly a mix of A Hat In Time, Amphibia, Promare, Brave Animated (Netflix), Fire Emblem, and other fandoms I’ve not done more than one fic for.

A Hat in Time

Beingverse (AU Tag) -WC: 97,671 -Status: Complete -Masterpost. Divided into main fics of the series, meta/worldbuilding posts, and fanart/fanfic of the series made by others. Take a look at it! -Summary: When Snatcher stealing Hat Kid’s soul goes sideways, they’re stuck in her body, while her unmoored soul rampages as it possesses Snatcher’s own vessel. They need to set things right- if they can work together, that is. The Thirteenth Crusade (AU Tag) -WC: 94,315 -Status: Complete -Summary: Classic low-fantasy AU. Mu wishes to destroy the Mafia occupying her home island and terrorizing the townfolk, and will go so far as to ally with a dragon- one of mankind’s enemies from the Crusaders’ War seven centuries past- whose soul is trapped in a book in order to do so. Dwelling of the Ancient Gods: -Status: Oneshot, complete. -Summary: The Twilight Bell is a trap, and it’s alive. Hat Kid meets a part of it. Kind of a precursor/test phase to Beingverse concepts, you’ll find the first explanations of Beings here.

Fear and Fable, All The Time That Passes: -Status: Oneshots, complete. -Summary: A pair of oneshots for @/doodledrawsthings “coffee shop” au. First up is Luka’s late night forest stroll that ends with some hikers getting the scare of their lives- if not from him. Second is the trio finally having a successful ‘date night’ now that they know their friend isn’t exactly human.

Love Language: -Status: Oneshot, complete. -Summary: For @/lemonadesoda’s Hide and Seek verse! The translation software goes on the fritz for a bit, so Hat Kid and her adopted parents bond by learning each others’ native tongues.

Duality: -Status: Oneshot, complete -Summary: A noncanon crossover of Beingverse and @/toxic-lavender’s au. Snatcher and Hat Kid get lost. Super lost.

Amphibia

Theophagy: -WC: 21,235 -Status: Complete -Summary: Marcy kills the Core while it’s still in her head. There are... consequences. Some good, some bad, some unknowable and strange. -Art from: curseoftheduck

Quantum Crucible: -Status: Oneshot, complete. -Summary: The Shadowfish beneath the palace attempt to talk to Marcy, and their warnings are misunderstood- but not forgotten.

Automata Theory (AU Tag) -WC: Who knows at this point lol -Status: In progress -Summary: During the Core’s upload into a new host, something goes drastically wrong for it, and Marcy escapes. Just... not in the way one would think.

Down Below (AU Tag) -WC: 36k -Status: Complete, currently posting -Summary: Down in the tunnels underneath Newtopia, hunted by the Night, Sasha has a bad time. Psychological horror au diverging from True Colors, with inspiration from the pre-s3 speculation about The Night. Deed Forborne -WC: 23k -Status: Complete -Summary: The invasion forces depart for Earth before the resistance can reach them, leaving them stranded on Amphibia and their enemies out of reach. Weeks later, Marcy Wu opens her eyes to see her home planet for the first time in months. AU focused Marcy on Earth and the Boonchuy parents. -Art from: curseoftheduck

Scenic Route -WC: 18k -Status: Complete -Summary: Sasha and Grime manage to rescue Marcy and use the Calamity Box as an escape route... But it doesn’t exactly have GPS, so they end up dropped in the middle of Bumfuck Nowhere, TX. Sasharcy-focused, canon-divergent.

Promare

Day One Dark: -WC: 50,876 -Status: Complete -Summary: Hundred Years AU- The Great World Blaze occurred a century ago, rather than thirty years ago. Before a Freeze Force Detention breakout, the mole died, so the escape is untrackable. While the Promepolitians are left to investigate Kray’s crimes on their own, half an ocean away the the rest of the world looks for a solution to the impending global eruption.

Nature’s Dragons: -Status: Oneshot, complete -Summary: Zine piece. An article on the post-Second-Blaze volcano watchers taking over the care of Mt. Fennel.

Fire Emblem

Witness the Death of Winter: -Status: Oneshot, complete -Summary: It's the nature of people to help those in need, and to seek help when they need it. Dimitri, after escaping from Fhirdiad, only does so once.

The Fortress that Walks: -Status: Oneshot, complete. -Summary: Outsider POV of the March to Deliverance. Mycen gets yelled at and it’s very satisfying.

In Loco Parentis: -Status: Twoshot, complete -Summary: Trying to wrench the outrealms into some semblance of logic in order to show parts of Shigure growing up.

Brave Animated Series (Netflix)

Death and Taxes: -WC: 14700 -Status: Complete -Summary: In the immediate aftermath of Morewant’s crowning, there are many adjustments to be made. And that’s not even considering the growing army on the demons’ doorstep.

Principle of Least Time: -WC: > 20,000 -Status: In progress -Summary: After a slip-up with Desire Queen’s cave crystals, Dragon Brave and Chief Brave end up in a vision of the fateful night where Morewant began his reign. However, this vision is quite strange in other ways...

Where the Sword Was Covered and Dust Had Grown: -WC: 19,751 -Status: Complete -Summary: Long ago, two kings killed one another for the throne. At the Pokemon League, thousands of years and a lifetime later, two kings faced each other for a throne. Pokemon BW Gameverse. Reincarnation AU with Hilda and N as the original brother-kings, set in the postgame.

Time Overworn: -WC: 2,356 -Status: Oneshot, complete -Summary: The month after Honno Town’s fall, from the perspective of two people watching over a comatose Ryuko. Kill la Kill, with a focus on Senketsu & Ryuko and the supporting cast during the timeskip, with some liberal inclusion of Life Fiber headcanons.

Doodliest Catch: -WC: 2,577 -Status: Oneshot, complete -Summary: Dungeons and Daddies, a coda to season 2 episode 39 written after it came out. So, your new friend managed to manifest themself into a form that isn’t big enough to swallow planets, even if just looking at their shifting reflections of your most deeply-buried anxieties is enough to give you a bit of a migraine. Now what?

Divine Right: -WC: 7,442 -Status: Complete -Summary: Guardians of Ga’hoole, Hagsfiend!Coryn AU. Nyra pokes her beak too far into nachtmagen, and her chick hatches... rather haggish.

Imperfect Lock: -Status: Oneshot, Complete -Summary: Owl House. All creatures carry the ghosts of their component parts- including Grimwalkers. Note that this is outdated in terms of a lot of canon info, since it was written pretty much right after Eclipse Lake. Also! There is art by @/spinaroos-47

closed starter to @spcindled location: the tailor's shop

𝐿𝐴𝑆𝑇 𝑊𝐸𝐸𝐾 𝐼𝑇 𝑊𝐴𝑆 a thread loosened from its stitch. He didn't tell her because he saw the crinkle between her brows as she worked. The winds had lost their fragrance and become devoid as Fall came whisking through the Coloradoan forests. Today its pin prick wound caught amongst brambles and snagged, hellbent on tearing away from the rest of the sleeve, and in its wake lay a sad display—something that reminded him of amputated limb, hanging on by sinew and nerve. A curse had naturally followed beneath breath, not just for the new hurdle in braving the cold, but for Mila. He knows that the hiker's coat will only add to her growing pile of fabrics, and he respects her too much to feel so entitled to her skillful hand.

His atonement is a warm mug, steaming fragrance of minty chai back into the atmosphere. Reuven has been quietly researching varieties of chai to court her with—call him a romantic for trying to cultivate jaggery and grow black tea to make her the perfect pudina and he would digress. This, and every action he has taken with her, has been a gesture of caring that he cannot put a name to. He enters the tailor's shop back-first, so that she cannot see the tear in his jacket before she smells the tea. Careful to introduce his presence with the good first, because the world nowadays is just so rife with bad.

His company is not announced with a greeting but with the thud of the mug, softly, against an adjacent table—far away from her work. Then the man gets to work folding haphazard fabrics, as if that's the quest that demanded his presence here, because he cannot simply request something from her without making amends for it first. If it were up to him he wouldn't be making her care for him at all, but he never learned how to sew more than a basic stitch and hardly had the litheness in his grip to make something substantial. Voice rings out, baritone and lacking of that nameless affinity for her, only after he shrugs off his own torn up garment. "Ripped my jacket gathering raspberries. Think you could take a look at it?" It's spoken so casually, as if his chest hasn't swelled with simmering infatuation since he walked in. Then he picks up her tea, to take a single taste-testing sip for himself, before setting it down in front of her. "Take a break, wonder woman." He circles around table to the back of her chair, where his hands find her shoulders and begin kneading gently. Still, he claims only her friendship. "How's the winter collection coming? Ready to hit QVC yet?"

Writing Sample #6 - Temenos

'Twas a gloomy, fog filled night, the teeth chattering ocean breeze rolled across the several hills of the small hamlet bordering ginormous mass of water, its usual crystal clear currents tinged with inky blackness that dared to engulf any soul that trudged into its waves. The thin pine leaves shook as if frightened by an unwelcome guest who had unceremoniously spun onto its shores. Beaches that contained glittering sand with bustling streets built by ambitious people with exhausted brows– toiling daily, counting mere dimes in their coin purses. It was on one portion of said beach was a bizarre little shop erected; home to a strange man elected the "oddity merchant" by his neighbors. That merchant was named Temenos Saintistel. Standing behind his ornate cherry wood desk, which had originally had been his father's, the merchant stood with an ache throbbing on his abdomen. "Now, I told you to stay off your feet youngin'." An older woman with coarse blonde hair with sparse strands of gray stood with a frustrated expression, hastily procuring several vials of peculiar ingredients of several varieties and placing them before her.

"Sorry to worry you, ma'am." One of his strong, well worked hands was tightly gripped on the side, his face tensed in exasperation of the pain twinging throughout his entire upper half of his body. His onyx colored hair was messy–parted incorrectly in several different directions, victim to his cream panama hat that sat upturned at his fist. Temenos's other hand slid up to rub the back of his head while feeling increasingly awkward despite the waves of agony rolling across his skin.

One of the shutters shook in a distraught manner, causing both occupants to jump in surprise. "Oh my!" The woman, who was named Castii had previously warned the merchant of the building's abysmal structure. As a locally born apothecary, she had gotten quite skilled at understanding a properly built home and was well acquainted with assisting in knowledge of repairs. Shaking her head, she murmured quietly to herself as she sprinkled different amounts of individual ingredients into her mortar, grinding down everything added with the pestle. "Now you use this three times a day and it will calm that rash. And don't you dare go back into those waters when its so dark, have the whole town acting like fools!" The male winced in response to her brutal wording, acknowledging he had royally goofed up an opportunity.

He had appraising a newly arrived glass fixture that was unique in it's creation– jeweled with scripture like markings sprawled upon its conjoined parts, elegant and magical in its appearance. He had noticed a stray chip not previously noticed when browsing in a foreign stall. Pursuing his lip, he had paced the glamorous piece over to the window; and as he raised it he became further irritated by the sudden emergence of the sudden crack. Unraveled with despair, Temenos placed the broken jewelry aside as he noticed an invigorating sight. Tendrils of silvery gray were dancing upon the surface of the bank, a ruby eye lazily glancing upon the surface. In naive excitement, the merchant had burst from his home– calling out in amazement as several nearby townsfolk turned in curious surprise. People ushered towards the shore, several stopping before the water while others bravely pressed further into the water towards the unknown creature.

As the villagers approached, the aquatic mass slipped away from view– distracted by the thrill of seeing the new animal was terrifying yet amusing nonetheless. Until suddenly, a tentacle struck through the sand, yanking Temenos down towards the sand in a harsh motion. His body thumped against the sand with a sickening thud, yet, thankfully due to his muscle and overall constitution, he managed to come away with mere scratches and bruises. The worst part of the attack managed to be his torso where the tentacle had wrapped, only dropping him from the unexpected attack of his quick dagger– his last effort drawn feverously as he felt the stir of the ocean behind him. The creature must have been weakened by some sort of previous attack, or perhaps it was an infant of its strange species– as a usual attack from this caliber of mythos would usually be nearly invincible to physical attacks.

That sting in his abdomen had been secreted by the tiny appendage, a toxin meant to weaken predators– yet, it was only a guess, unknown to the actual answer he was sought after. Temenos groaned as the pain grew thicker, his head throbbing as he rubbed his eye. "Yes ma'am, I'm terribly sorry Ms. Castii." He apologized to the old widow, unable to meet her sapphire eyes, feeling utterly abashed for his recent behavior.

"You better young man, now, I must go. Get yourself to into bed soon– It is quite an abnormal hour to be awake. At this rate, you'll never wed." She scolded Temenos as if she was his mother– despite their actual closeness in age. Unable to get another word out as the woman had swiftly packed during her entire speech.

The dark haired male heard the soft *click* of his front door, left alone in his home as he sighed. "Man, she could have at least helped me apply it." His pain wavered in his voice as he carefully removed the bandages; washing the wound gentle and thoroughly before moving onto to spread the ointment across his wounds. He hissed in pain as he spread the gel across his flushed skin, cringing as the cool met the pained heat.

It was only then, as he finished applying the salve that he realized how beautifully grim the skies appeared to be, the distant lighthouse glowing as it illuminated the beach. Surprise lit his eyes as he saw the collapsed form of a miraculous being among the sand, placed on a raft of driftwood. In seconds his adrenaline pumped as he rushed through the door while hurriedly shoving himself in a strewn about cloak. As he rushed down the stairs of his front steps, he ran adeptly through the sand, sliding down to the shore as he rushed over to the body– letting out a soft chuckle in response as he fully took in the magnificent individual sound asleep.

What type of books does Lexa enjoy reading?

Lexa reads everything (NY au) Their bookshelves are stacked with tattered copies of everything from To Kill a Mockingbird, Great Gatsby, Brave New World, the Communist Manifesto, the New Jim Crow, Braiding Sweetgrass, to things like Salt Fat Acid Heat and poetry books. Clarke, who also loves reading (but tends to stick to things of the smutty variety or cookbooks) rolls her eyes good naturedly when every few weeks Lexa comes home sheepishly from their local second hand book store (two blocks down from their brownstone, tucked in between their favourite coffee shop and their highly prized hungover brunch spot).

"Clarke, I don't know what happened, it's like I blacked out when I walked in the door-"

Clarke just shakes her head ruefully and teases Lexa that she'll actually have to build that set of floating shelves that she's been talking about, since their little living room bookshelf is now full to bursting. Lexa lands a gentle kiss on a paint-flecked cheek before shuffling with her stack of new finds to the living room, a slight bounce in her step.

Greenery thrived on the isles elevated among the sea of clouds. The long expanse of years upon years allowed isolated ecosystems to flourish new life in the sky, but not to this extent. Removal of limited space and a change in altitude made all the difference, a staggering contrast highlighting what one celestial picked up on soon after her descent. Earthen flora spilled over into countless varieties, and Ellatte found herself falling in love with each new one stumbled across, another entry to her expanding journal.

A lively bouquet / parting gift from the owner of a flower shop the town over secured in the crook of her arm as she gave her usual greeting to Bellion. It didn't take long for a question about the flowers' presence to wind up with him holding them as she launched headfirst into enthusiastic rambling.

Maybe in another life, she could have focused on caring for plants, immersing herself in wondrous botany rather than readying herself for battles lying in wait. A fear born from the guillotine poised over the exposed necks of her people, constructed thousands of years ago by the litany of demons. But there's more to their presumed executioners than meets the eye.

( would she still know bellion in that type of world, personally, dare she say almost intimately ? would he occupy the same space in her life he guarded now ? )

A gentle tune punctuated the lull in her explanations, a voiceless melody reverberating in a soothing hum as she took in his countenance. The easygoing posture as he reclined against a thick, weathered branch of one of many oaks of the forest. The expression he watched her with.

It's hard to describe the look she's seen on him more often than not as of late, to varying degrees. Thinking, consideration. A touch stifling in its focus / searching / intensity. But the heated edges were softened by... she's unsure.

It felt like he's testing something. Surveying her reactions.

Sometimes it’s a prelude to bursts of odd behaviour. Like the times he brought her heaps of food ( more than she knew what to do with / the majority of it ends up given to the villagers ), or he'd say something strange. Missing proper context, connotations she failed to grasp, it sailed right overhead. A blank stare in response may force him to backtrack and offer tentative reasonings or simple, evasive denials to requests of further insight. A confusing blend of distant yet overly affectionate. Why the hell did he make himself both open and hard to read at the same time ? The avenue of mixed messages waltzed in far too easily than it had any right to.

It frustrated Ellatte, yet also tragically endeared her. But she wouldn't dare be caught telling him as much; he's prideful enough already. The last thing he needed was any type of ego boost courtesy of her.

❝ You almost look like a completely different person when you let yourself relax. ❞ A genuine observation and a past one often kept to herself. It's verbalized this time, slipping through the cage of idle thoughts with ease. She's almost aghast at how freely it's aired but he seemed none too bothered by it.

❝ I trust you with parts of myself I'm afraid to show anyone else. ❞

It's spoken casually to the point she wondered if his words were conjured up by the imagination. A demon placing any measure of faith in a goddess. I trust you, like he's commenting on something utterly mundane. I trust you, like a simple natural fact, rather than the gravity of what it inherently carried. Trust. A precious component underlying the bridge of connection formed between two entities, sometimes paving the way for the unthinkable to happen.

Colour crept up from her neck, cheeks gaining a rosier tint as the basest urge to glance away from his vivid scrutiny seized her, a refusal to show flustered reaction in full, ❝ I'm glad that you can tell me that. I really am ! But you shouldn't say such things so lightly. That... It's... ❞

It's treading unknown waters.

He trusted her.

Ears burned under the force of the heat brewing beneath skin. A fist pressed against her chest, a silent plea sent to a heart picking up its pace to cut it out at once. Mind quickly redirected before it could fasten itself to the train of thought. If allowed to sit and set roots, it'd making her think. It’d make her... wonder.

It's hard to imagine Bellion as getting scared over anything. He's Bellion. A high ranking demon entire armies followed into battle. The surviving leader of the former six knights of black, terrifying figures carved into the celestials’ history and spoken of long after in hushed, wary tones as evil, ferocious monsters without fear, the impure who murdered and devoured life. The strong — if at times lax — front he presented rarely faltered. The pillar of almost insurmountable strength he represented in her eyes felt ironclad. What could shake the foundations of his heart ?

Some tension's expelled as she forcefully loosened the tight knot sitting firm within her chest, whitened knuckles regaining colour as fingers slowly unfurled. A sigh transitioned into a miffed huff mid breath and she pushed hair out of her eyes, tucking stray strands of white behind the shell of an ear.

Her feathers needed to smooth out. She shouldn't be so blatantly thrown off balance by this. He's her friend. Of course she's happy he trusted her. To hear him say that gave a certain warmth, a lightness to her chest like it could walk on clouds. It's not any different from when Solaad chose to confide in her and having the knowledge that it's because she could be relied on.

The faint flush of pink lingered from the earlier flood of happiness on the apple of her cheeks and tips of the ears, heart a touch upbeat from baseline but poise was restored for the most part. Hopefully the brief interlude of silence from her end as she collected her thoughts didn't come off as abnormal. She chanced a glance up.

He's there. What once spanned a few strides had been reduced to mere steps as he stood before her, not wreathed in hellbent wrath but surrounded by the embrace of flora, taking her hand in his once he regained her wandering attention. He did nothing but hold it, something like a smile playing on the corner of his lips, and with him closer she found she couldn't look away as easily. So unnecessarily close, and tender, and fond, and strange. Bellion, forged from war and yet... she began to think. This might be a version of him that maybe no one else ever quite had the opportunity to witness, and she’s painfully aware of how lucky she was to have been given this chance.

Then almost as fast as it came into existence, the almost smile disappeared, replaced by something she didn't recognize. Something that almost looked like longing.

❝ You make me feel brave. ❞

The bricks of composure painstakingly built up... she could see crumbling into dust as indiscernible emotions railed into them at full force. He's...!

Ellatte retracted her hand from his grip, cutting the advancement short, unwilling to allow the feelings to fully take hold and petrify her into another round of stunned, flustered silence. Uncertainty bit, clamping down like a wild thing. ( what would looking upon him again reveal ? rejection's far from her intent, but she didn't want to feel the if only brief sting of whatever emotion she could've wrought by pulling away ). Closed lungs were forced to work, to speak through the spun sugar oh so sweet on the tongue and threatening to clog the throat.

❝ Flowers can hold so many meanings. It's another language entirely, and I may be a novice at it but I think I'm getting better at speaking it. Look here at this one. ❞ Leaning closer, ever mindful of the proximity, a particular flower's separated from the rest and she plucked it from the bouquet, thumb caressing vibrant petals, ❝ It's a freesia. I've been told while others can imply similar things, this flower is the only one that symbolizes trust. ❞

Stem tucked between two fingers, she reached out to him this time. Catching his hand in her own set, both folded around it in a gentle yet firm hold. ❝ I carried it here after I heard that because when I looked at it I thought of you. ❞ She didn't lift her face yet, letting her gaze fall upon their joined hands, the blossoming flower sprouting from that connection.

A goddess and a demon, bound not by the violence expected of them but instead trust. A nigh unthinkable engagement between the clans, meaningful chances for such long since torn apart with ashes scattered to the winds, leaving behind inherent hatred and instinct to draw blood before one's own met that fate. A willingness to engage in those acts may have been there originally — natural after the nature of their circumstances — but it too, like all things, dissipated with time.

�� Those days were behind her now. While the future's more uncertain than before, she's all the more ready to confront it. With Bellion here, it seemed...a little bit easier to take that step. What was bravery, if not the will to continue despite shackles of doubt and fear and doubt plaguing one's resolution ?

Silver crown tilted forward, bringing forehead to rest against his torso, an action gingerly done in execution with the barest of force behind it. A light tap more than anything / a silent apology for moments before. The wide margin of height placed the flowers a scant breath away from a small smile that softened features, the bright petals reflected glow casting a mosaic of colour as leaves brushed against skin. The freesia truly did look beautiful.

Face prickled ever so slightly with the hint of the returning blush, lips shifting into something just shy of stupidly joyful. ❝ I'd like to be brave too. ❞

WEEK 6

Coming home from work on Monday afternoon I saw Isa, Aritz and Dameon sat outside on the picnic table in the vast yard of the building we occupied. It was warm enough outside so that no one was wearing a jacket really, and everyone had a drink carton of some sort with them. I said I'd be right back and went in to put my laptop away and get my juice carton as well. Also called Marvin at Dameon's behest, to come out of hiding from his room and the two of us headed back outside together (he had ginger ale in case you were wondering). Eventually the discussion turned to the graveyard next door and Dameon and Marvin mentioned how they'd been there already and I said I wanna go! So we all got up to go check out the graveyard. But first we were distracted by the little dock area for Kayaks. It was delightful, we saw toads in the water and quails -upon hearing our approach- took off flying out of the tall grasses, startling us. So much nature~

Then we made our way through the grass to the graveyard where we made a little game out of trying to find the oldest grave, it was someone born in 1816 if I recall correctly. On Friday evening we had some wine mixed with cola (a Spanish thing apparently) and listened to a wide variety of music from all across the world and eventually the two other German girls that would be leaving the next morning came over to the flat and we all took some photos for memory's sake and then watched Dumbo (the previous weeknights had been marred by horror film showings that Isa and I could not participate in due to our aversion to horror, so here we insisted on Dumbo). And honestly, we don't talk about the absolutely unhinged 'pink elephants' sequence in Dumbo often enough.

Saturday, mostly everyone went to Denmark but I elected to stay behind because I didn't want to go lol. The next day Isa and I had planned to go vintage shopping in Malmö but the busses only come every hour or so like I previously at some point probably mentioned and we had lost all motivation by the time the next bus came around so decided to do a Lund exploration day instead. I got a Cardamom bun (my new obsession!) and Isa a sandwich at Bruder Jakobs, a popular local bakery/cafe and then we walked around a bit, went in the church and then to the botanical gardens excited about the greenhouse, only to find it's unfortunately closed until 2026. So instead we got a falafel for €2.18!!! It wasn't the best falafel I've ever had but hey, for 2 euros, I'm not complaining.

The problem was that throughout all of this, the wind was unrelenting and Isa had nothing but a light coat on in which she was freezing the entire time. I'd kept suggesting we go home but she put on a brave face until she could no longer do it anymore and we finally headed back. Anyways, that concludes Week 6! Two more weeks to go.

In 2019, after one year of disappointment, discouragement, and failure situations their moral percentage reached zero, but Ramish Rizwan– son of Mr. Rizwan convinced his father to launch a YouTube channel because as a young youth, he knew it was a digital era and it’s a time to test their fortune (Salim, 2023). He recorded the first video for their channel named ‘BaBa Foods RRC’ on a simple phone, and his successful fame journey started with no proper kitchen, cooking utensils, or high-tech electronic gadgets to record a video.

This channel booms the internet market within four years and earns 4 million subscribers on YouTube and 1.5 million followers on TikTok. They also received the ‘Top Food Creator’ award in 2022 from the TikTok social media platform. Presently, Chef Rizwan's family is living in a mansion, and owns luxurious cars, and his son Ramish moved to New Zealand.

The fame of the YouTube channel ‘BaBa Food RRC’ is largely based on the “democratization of web” concept. Chef Mr. Rizwan's innocent style of explanation and appealing video titles– people like it and vote his appreciation in the form of subscribing (Khan, 2023), honesty (sharing real authentic commercial recipes for everyone) – people thumb up and praise him by subscribing, cooking hacks and tips (how to make your food tastier or store food) – people like it and motivate him by subscribing), beauty tips/creams (women loves it and thank him by subscribing), or herbal remedies – people like it and shows happiness by subscribing). He introduces a variety of topics under one roof that attracts the audience with simplicity and hard work (Salim, 2023) and (Khan, 2023). However, with the same strategy, they succeeded in achieving “online democratization” on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and X effectively (Salim, 2023).

Globally, social media apps or sites promote the ‘democratization of the web’ and allow the audience to vote for the video or post as per their liking or disliking. Internet-positive fame achieved by the YouTube channel ‘BaBa Food RRC’ in a short period is impossible without the “democratization” of social media. They still succeed in engaging the audience through their different topic videos and honest enthusiasm.
