Hahah tbh I'm re-reading the Scum Villain's Self-Saving System because I got my hands on the printed version lately ;v;

Hmm...I haven't seen many movies in the theaters this year so I guess it has to be the newest Detective Conan movie, oh and Encanto!

What do you usually wear?

Black or dark blue turtlenecks, also a vest that used to belong to my dad together with my scarf and socks my grandma knitted!

I go by my name but some of my oldest friends use nicknames for me! I'm also responsible for for a lot of nicknames, which I'm proud of haha.

Uhh... I mean I tried and I'm still trying but sometimes giving your best isn't enough sadly

I'm not in a relationship and I'm pretty sure I'll never be. I'm not a suitable person for things like that hahaha

What’s something you’re good at vs. something you’re bad at?

hmm...I think I'm good at wrapping gifts and also working under pressure I'm bad at smalltalk, beeing an interesting conversation partner, voicing my anger and making decisions etc. ;v;

Dogs or cats?

Cats! I used to have a cat, he was entirely black and always came to me when I made a whistle noise ;v;

If you draw/write, or create in any way, what’s your favorite picture/favorite line/favorite etc. from something you created this year?

I was a lot happier with my artstuff last year but uhm... I think I like this one most because I'm still a bit proud of the background haha

What’s something you would like to create content for?

I still want to draw scenes from my favorite fanfics more often, other than that Idk I always draw the stuff I like so it's all good v.v

What’s something you were excited about that turned out to be disappointing this year?

Oh hm... I can't think of anything but I have an example for a thing that was the other way around! I thought my friend's bachelorette party would be very exhausting because people from senior high were there but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be haha.

What’s a hidden talent of yours?

I'm good at seeing my flaws or reflecting what I did bad/wrong in a situation, I'm just bad at finding ways to improve on that ahah

Are you religious?     

No, I'm Lutheran-Protestant on paper but I'm not religious at all.

What’s something you wish to have at this moment?

A whole day to just sleep! :V

Six Sentence Sunday

I haven't done this in forever but I wanted to give @jake-marshall and @bookworm555 a little taste of the Percy Weasley one-shot I've been working on (and give myself a little shot of inspiration in the process).

This is actually seven sentences but it just felt better this way

After about ten minutes of standing amongst the crowd, feeling a prickle of guilt every time he thought of how upset he’d been over Quidditch, Wood decided he’d had enough. He found himself headed up the spiral staircase to the dormitories, thinking vaguely of packing up his broomstick or maybe stealing one last look across the grounds at the pitch; after all, he might very well be leaving it forever the next morning - 

He’d flung open the door to the sixth-year boys’ bedroom and was across the threshold before he realized someone was already there.

Wood’s first thought was that he must be seeing things; wasn’t Percy downstairs with the other Weasleys? He was the oldest brother still at Hogwarts, never failing to throw about his Prefect status or pester his siblings with unwanted advice; surely he’d be down there taking charge. But no; when he thought back to the somber scene downstairs, he realized he hadn’t actually seen him huddled together with the twins, Ron, and Potter - and the curly red hair of the figure on the bed could only belong to one boy in their year.

His second thought, as he took in the tremor of Percy’s bent back and the pair of horn-rimmed glasses lying discarded on the bedside, was, oh hell, he’s crying.

I would’ve sent an ask, but I feel like I’d go over the character limit (not to mention on a submit, I can use the enter key to make separate paragraphs).

Hopefully I don’t sound like a weirdo, since I don’t think I messaged you before, but I saw your posts on retiring from writing, and I just wanted to say that I went through/am going through something very similar with my writing, as well. I’ve been working on this long multichap for years, but over the last few years, reviews have dwindled, and I felt really discouraged, especially since I spent so much time and care writing those chapters. I haven’t updated it since 2017, and haven’t written any fics, even oneshots, since. Review culture has changed so much since I first started writing fics, and it’s really discouraging, especially since we write this stuff for free! For awhile late last year/the early part of this year, I took a break from even reading fanfics altogether (partially because I was very busy with work and being in musical, partially because I guess my bitterness from writing spread to reading, too).

This got super long-winded, and I apologize. I guess what I was trying to say is that I understand your frustration (especially with lurkers who don’t review). Hopefully you find more inspiration someday, but if you don’t, I just wanted to say that you’re not alone in feeling discouraged with writing.

(Also, now that I’ve seen Endgame, I am being pulled back into Marvel [or at least, the characters rather than the later films’ canon plots], and I’m craving some Loki-centric fics, so I’ll definitely check yours out tomorrow! I looked at your masterlist, and I see you have plenty to choose from! [Guess it’s a good time for me to get back into reading fanfiction, haha])

Once again, sorry for the long message!

You don’t have to apologize for anything and you certainly don’t sound like a weirdo! 

Review culture really has changed for the worst and I’m seeing more and more writers just… stop and I can’t blame them. My last fic only got 5 notes and they’re all ‘likes’. It’s already frustrating enough when you don’t get any feed back or anything from your readers but when you finally decide enough is enough people start flooding in and begging you not to stop. Like, where were you all the other times I complained about lack of feedback. Now that I’ve finally reached my breaking point they decide to say something? It makes me feel people only care about me when I produce content for their fandom. When I see all the other writers around me get flooded with feedback about their fics all the time I feel like I’ve done something wrong. 

Anyway, I’ll leave that there. Thank you so much for sharing this! I hope you enjoy my writing! I haven’t seen Endgame yet but hopefully I’ll get to see it soon! <3

After 5 years, Annie has finally been shown in the manga (not a flashback). She’s still in the crystal, but she’s alive!! Armin is also shown to be sitting in front of the crystal and leakers have postulated that apparently Armin went to Annie for advice. He’d been having dreams of Sasha’s death and in those dreams he was calling Sasha Annie…

7. What song is your aesthetic?

Drunken Whaler off the Dishonored soundtrack. It’s epic and creepy, and it’s based off of one of my favorite sea shanties. I also love the videogame very much.

13. talk about an au or story you came up with

Long ago, I had an idea for a Mob!AU, where Odin was an ailing “don” whose sons were about to inherit his criminal empire. Loki’s biological father was a rival gang member that Odin put out a hit on for crossing him, unaware that he had an infant son. So, Odin took him in. Now, on his deathbed, he lets the truth emerge which leads to Loki trying to grab for power over the family business before Thor has the chance to solidify his position as head of the family. Thor is conflicted because he genuinely cares about Loki because they grew up together, but Loki’s actions become more erratic and violent turning the whole city into chaos and Thor must find a way to stop him without putting him in the ground.  

I don’t normally like mob/mafia AUs, but this one was stuck in my head for a while. It doesn’t matter, though, because I never wrote it. 

16. if you could pick any planet besides earth, where would you live?

Logistically, it would have to be somewhere habitable. However, I don’t care about logistics here. Mars would be the place to go, because I am an Aries.
