🌻 BOOK REVIEW: Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up with Me 🌻 . “It’s true that giving can be a part of love. But, contrary to popular belief, love should never take from you.” . I really loved this. This graphic novel has had a lot of hype recently and my friends gifted it to me for my birthday and I picked it up straight away. . Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up with Me explores the impact of unhealthy relationships can have on ourselves and those around us. It depicts how we change and how we can shut themselves away from those friends that are truly there for us. And despite the fact this focuses on Frederica, it also shows how her friends feel frustrated and sad about the situation because Freddy is unable to stay away from Laura. But it also shows how someone can realise how toxic the person they love is and how much damage they can cause and how one can walk away from a vicious and toxic situation. . The story is told in a very natural yet meaningful way. The artwork is probably one of my favourites ever; it is so beautiful and detailed and I loved the colour palette used. .
