Moda e FOMO: a síndrome do “Eu que não vou ficar fora dessa”

Poucas certezas eu tenho na moda além de que eu odeio cores vibrantes, calça saruel é horrível e sapatilha só é aceitável em look de trabalho; porém algo nos últimos tempos começou a me incomodar e me incomodou bastante ao ponto desse blogpost nascer.

Entre as cores vibrantes que eu não suporto, de todas elas, eu posso considerar o verde como a rainha do meu hate. De todas as cores, verde é aquela que eu automaticamente bato o olho e penso “parece um brócolis” e não necessariamente um “olha que look bem elaborado! estruturado!”. Pois bem, até aí normal, não é? Eu aposto que vocês, caros leitores, também têm cores que ganharam de forma genuína o desprezo de vocês.

Por outro lado, eu notei que algo não ia bem em mim quando a possibilidade de ter algo verde foi gerada na minha mente junto com a minha — já diagnosticada — possível obsessão por compras: ter algo cor de verde bottega. E talvez vocês se perguntem “e por que você quer algo na cor verde bottega”? Eu não sei! Talvez porque me sinto muito mais bombardeada por tendências agora? Talvez. Talvez toda vez que eu abro o Tiktok, o Instagram e o Pinterest e eu vejo peças em verde bottega eu sinto que todas as influencers estão me chamando de ultrapassada. Talvez porque não ter uma peça na cor verde bottega me faça me sentir como uma adolescente que não é convidada para uma festa super divertida e que todo mundo vai. Sim, o verde bottega desbloqueou gatilhos juvenis, ele realmente é a arma mais perigosa do capitalismo.

Ao mesmo tempo que a FOMO tem argumentos incríveis e que poderiam, talvez, me ganhar numa disputa de luta de braço, existe um ponto polêmico sobre cores fortes que viralizam do nada nas passarelas e que ninguém te conta: você vai usar essa peça horrores, você vai ver essa peça horrores pelas vitrines loja à fora e você também vai ver todas as possíveis celebridades usando, mas quando o hype da peça passar, você vai querer ter vontade de SUMIR porque não vai ter mais ocasião para usar a tão queridinha cor-promissora-do momento.

E, caros leitores, ainda que eu não seja a maior defensora de moda sustentável por ser uma usuária confessa da Shein, tem uma coisa que eu prezo tanto quanto minha vida: não gastar dinheiro com roupa que não vale a pena ser comprada. Então, ao menos por hoje, eu vou vencer a FOMO.

(Caso do nada ela volte, minha terapeuta às segundas pode me ajudar a tirar essa ideia kamikaze financeira da minha cabeça)
