for some reason flint kind of keeps him grounded which like maybe it doesn't seem like it but that's bc silver becomes obsessed with trying to figure out who flint was in his past lives, because if flint has this effect on him then their past reincarnations must have met on multiple occasions. and this makes silver lose it a little bit especially during the doldrums he's like ok flint u damnéd witch

the way a maxanne vampire AU practically writes itself.... anne, reborn into a horrible violence that saved her life (sired by vampire jack, of course), & max, a human woman who stumbles into the violent dark and sees something of value in that violence (when anne protects her in a sexy but also terrible way)....there's a lot of directions you could take this potential story in, but the set up is sooo compellingly easy.....much to think about.....
