Good way of spotting if something’s gone awry 👍 You can use a ticking watch to check instead if you prefer that to tapping 👍 Just hold the watch near the pickup polepieces and the ‘tick tock’ will come through your amp nicely 👍 Hope this helps with checking all is cool after your pickup installation 👍 A really good way of knowing if it’s been successful. If a pickup is coming through that shouldn’t be it’s time to open back up and recheck those connections - is something touching something it shouldn’t be? If it’s completely dead then don’t be like us, ha - first port of call is checking the lead and then amp on 😜 We’ve all done it!
