Re-reading my favourite parts from the book, and this scene never fails to tug at my heart strings. I did not expect the "he misses dad" at all and i let out such an ugly sob every single time T.T
Having a character like Henry who had to experience grief at such a young age, feeling lost and helpless when you no longer have the support system that you never in a million years would have imagined to lose so quickly, it makes me so warm to know that Casey understands and represents sorrow in such a raw yet informative way. Not to forget Bea's monologue about accepting that this grief is a part of Henry that Alex should be comfortable with even if he will never fully understand, and Alex's beautiful delivery of

love how the second season walks towards the exact opposite direction of the first season's ending... first we follow thorfinn's journey through rage and violence, holding onto his only goal in life, revenge, and we see him losing it all in such a tense, bloody scene at the end. he's completely lost and miserable. now the second season is ending after we followed thorfinn's path towards finding peace and a new purpose for living. the whole farewall is simply beautiful and it feels incredibly light. thorfinn isn't alone anymore and despite not raising his fists he's stronger than he ever was before. he finally found true determination to build his own path in life.
