Glad to hear Batman: Caped Crusader got picked up for 2 seasons by Prime Video

I was rooting to get to see B:CC. It sounds interesting to me.

Batman: Caped Crusader is an all-new animated series and reimagining of the Batman mythology through the lens of executive producers Bruce Timm, J.J. Abrams, and Matt Reeves. According to Prime Video, the series will utilize state-of-the-art animation techniques to once again reinvent the character with “sophisticated storytelling, nuanced characters, and intense action sequences, all set in a visually striking world.”

In addition to Timm, Abrams, and Reeves, Ed Brubaker and Sam Register are set to executive produce the series. Based on characters from DC, Batman: Caped Crusader is produced by Warner Bros. Animation, Bad Robot Productions, and 6th & Idaho.

Unsure how hard to clown for Jensen doing the bat-voice for it.

Happy to see it looks like “Batman: Caped Crusader” and other non-DCU animated shows are finding a new home with Amazon Prime as the head of WB Animation just confirmed this to Deadline (linked in the comments). The animation side of DC has been split between WB Animation and the new DC Studios that James Gunn is co-head of but James also revealed they will have their own animated shows directly connected to the movies. So it seems likely now all non-DCU connected animated shows and movies will be on Amazon while HBO Max will be only for animated and live-action shows connected to the movies. If only they would do this for the live-action non-connected shows but sounds like they’re all done.

Caped Crusader got saved by amazon. I was excited about this so I’m glad it got picked up after HBO Max shelved it.

Welp. I guess this is back on my Jensen clowning list. While I don’t think this is his big Announcement. BCC was originally on my radar for something Jensen might do, and it would make sense having him voice Bruce for it. I guess we’ll see.
