Being chronically sleep deprived no matter how absolutely exhausted you are physically and mentally, but your brain just won't let you fully shut down, so you just toss and turn for hours is not fair. Let me be one of those gals that pass out as soon as their tucked in, and then there's my whole insomniac ass taking 2+ hours on a decent day and 6+ hours on a shit one.

just rewatched Dune Part 2 and noticed something, when Feyd Rautha enters the area for his birthday fight, and after he wins the fight, the people in the audience of the arena are chanting his name in a very rhythmic and quite frankly terrifying way - "Feyd Rau-tha! Feyd Rau-tha! Feyd Rau-tha!"
And after Paul kills Feyd Rautha, takes Irulan's hand in marriage, and declares war on the great houses, the Fremen people around Paul begin to chant - "Lisan al Gaib! Lisan al Gaib! Lisan al Gaib!"
They chant for Paul with the same rhythm and ferocity with which the Harkonnen audience chanted for Feyd Rautha earlier in the movie. If that doesn't show Paul's transformation and loss of humanity then idk what does
(also FeydPaul parallels in general yessssss I love every connection between these two fucked up boys, it's tragic that they barely even get ten minutes of screentime together)

Sam is on my mind today.
Now is this a weird way of saying he is in frontkng space or that I keep getting reminded of him by posts that have literally nothing to do with him.
The answer is yes.

I can’t even keep up with the Al Jazeera live coverage of Gaza fast enough to highlight specific bulletins. Every single report is so damning. I’m going to try to compile a timeline of bulletins regarding the attacks on Al Shifa and other hospitals tomorrow, but please, please if you haven’t, read through yesterday/today’s live pages. The hospitals are surrounded by Israeli tanks and snipers. Anyone who moves too much inside the buildings or who try to flee on foot are being shot and killed. Buildings in the medical complexes are being bombarded and catching fire. Power has run out and two babies at Al Shifa have already died because of the incubators losing power. ICU and dialysis patients are also going to die at this rate. Most if not all other hospitals are in the same situation. People are already dying just because the doctors can’t get to them to treat them. And those dead bodies can’t be kept in the morgues anymore because there is no refrigeration. They’re going to have to be buried in mass graves on hospital grounds. And the survivors will have to cope with hunger, dehydration, poor sanitation, disease outbreaks, lack of medical care/supplies, and the continued bombardments. Salah al-Din street is getting bombed. Rafah is getting bombed. There is literally no safe place for anyone to go. Israel is not going to stop either until the Gaza Strip is emptied, or somebody fucking stops them.

I love playing Orlesian Wardens really, in a worldstate where the HoF is dead, you're always in their shadow. You arrive in this country a stranger, barely even welcome. It looms over you at Vigils Keep. Oghren has an inside joke about the year of blight and his friend isnt beside him to laugh with him. Nathaniel comes to the Keep and his father is but a name to you. Wynne stands in front of Amaranthine's chantry, looking as though she was waiting for someone else.
There's no letters at the start, and every little callback to the blight year is a reminder of someone you've never known. You're trained for a work that is thankless, you know.
It's not for you, this love and adulation. You aren't the saviour. You aren't the friend they lost. When will they stop looking at you and wondering what a Commander that Hero would have made?
You bury Blackmarsh and bring Kal'hirol home. You guard the Wending Wood. You make peace on the streets and fight battles that have nothing to do with darkspawn. You mine granite and seal fissures beneath the ground. You try. A dozen odd Fereldans come to think you're alright. Some even ask, if you're alright. This place is a far cry from Val Chevin, but you come to call it home.
When the Keep you built stands strong, when Amaranthine grows to care for you, when Sigrun smiles and says she'd rather spend the afterlife fighting by your side, when Oghren tells you the old war buddy would've liked you like there is no greater compliment, you will be content as an afterthought to a legend past its prime, an epilogue to another. Someone had to do it. Someone had to clean up. Someone had to rebuild. And someone had to leave. When the time comes, you will Join them.
