Ch209, Spoilers part two
鈿狅笍 updated text 鈿狅笍
Then we are back to what just recently happened -- Doll and Finny fighting over who's the enemy and who's the friend.
He's got all these opposing ideas in his head about who killed whom and why... and was it deserved... and why was he offered these chances? Those sorts of thoughts, though I know there's stuff missing in the quick translations by @bitterbutlr , but that's the gist of it.
Even Sebastian pointing out our earl's bad table manners at Lau's place is a fond memory for Snake, at least sort of. It is a time of determination, to not just step aside to his young master's older twin, who has usurped what our earl has gained.
Then the memories turn into cinematic records, as all these flashbacks were just Snake's life flashing before his eyes.
We don't even learn about the mysterious place he thinks he's from. I'm wondering if that information came from some of the snakes and doesn't actually apply to him.
He apparently was human (at least partly), born to a human named Sarah Campbell (or a similar name). She was an actress. This also comes from @bitterbutlr and maybe one other person on Discord.) The NEW! reaper notes nothing worth adding, and then there's the tamping sound of the "COMPLETED" stamp.
What I don't get is why this reaper looks at Doll holding Snake's body and doesn't think there's anything else to note. Ronald once said he couldn't tell who was the bizarre doll -- Ada or Layla -- without checking their records or catching them in the act of behaving like the first bizarre dolls they saw (on the ship). He needed to see Layla attack Baldo before he knew for sure it was her.
So... is this reaper going to leave the scene without confronting Doll? Doll doesn't look normal at this point... but perhaps this reaper just plans to stick to the basics...? William says it's all just a formality anyway, right? 馃 馃え
If so, that really leaves it open for her to ask Undertaker to make a bizarre doll out of Snake.
He has a lot of memories about what he wanted in life -- mostly to find a family to belong to, where he can live in harmony with them. However, he also has memories where he's specifically and severely angry with "Smile" and "Black" and wants revenge on them. Undertaker could cherry pick the right memories to serve as episodes that make Snake loyal to real Ciel, or at least to Doll. If that happens, we might see Sebastian destroy Snake anyway, just like he warns about in ch51... for any Phantomhive servant who turns against their young master....

Well, Never thought I'd see a Rich Baldroy. Twst Spoilers. Kuroshitsuji spoilers.
So when Yana-sensei was bragging about the fact that she was now happy that she was able to make Baldroy look his age (40s), I didn't realize that part of the reason why was because she was using him as the base for Vil's Dad Eric Venue.
I mean...Come on, this one is obviously the inspiration, and when I saw this I was both laughing and crying, because if you know anything about Baldroy's history at this point, you'll know that his past is full of heart break. So to see a look alike, with a son, and seemingly happy, it just warms my heart.
Also does this mean that the younger version looked more like her earlier designs of him, as she couldn't draw, as she said, middle aged people.
On a side note, I still think the rule applies to Vil here as it does to Malleus, and probably every other male character in Yana's stories. The boys will always look like their mom's, with some characteristics of their fathers. (Ex. Ciel has his mother's eyes, but has Vincent's hair and some of his aspects. Edward has his mother's facial features, but his father's blonde hair.) (Ex. Malleus and his mother, Deuce and his mom). While the girls will always look like their fathers (Ex. Lizzie looks more like her dad than her mom, but she has her mom's hair style. We haven't seen a lot of girls in Black Butler, nor Twst, So I can't point to anyone just yet in regard to the similar rules from there.)
So while Vil has Eric's brows and laugh, his over all look gives me the feeling that he looks more like his mother than his father, and since Eric is kind of a George Clooney/Cary Grant, we age gracefully type, and more rugged looking than Vil, it might explain why he got cast more in certain types of heroic roles, as Vil has the "love Rival jerk" type posh face that so many romantic movies tend to play with.
Also Also...does that mean Vil looked like Baldroy Jr. when he was little?
(Though Baldroy Jr. might be more of a baby Rook, freckles and all. )
He has some Cheka in him too.
